Review Hen And Bow Espresso Bar - Bathurst

About 12 months ago I had a pretty ordinary customer service experience here and swore I would never go there again. (A bit dramatic - I know). Anyway - skip forward 12 months and I drive past the Hen and Bow nearly every time I go to work and I stop at Trinity Heights at least once a week to go to the newsagent. So instead of making a second stop on the way to work I've now tried the Hen and Bow about 5 more times, and each time I have been so happy with both the customer service and the amazing coffee. 5 stars - everyone has bad days - it must of been one of those days the first time I was there.

Great coffee, friendly staff/owners. We've been here twice in the past month and both times came away with excellent coffees and a good vibe. The staff are friendly and engaging. We rang 10 minutes ahead to order bacon and egg rolls and coffees and they were ready when we arrived (perfect for a roadtrip when time is of the essence). The place was bustling with customers, and rightly so. We'll be back.

Small area inside seated on stools but cofffee was nice. Appreciated coffee in mugs. A previous café used takeaway cups citing Covid as the reason, but coffee in a mug is so much better.

The closest thing to an inner city sydneh hipster cafe you'll find this far west. Their coffee is killer and their pastries look just as good, next time I'll have to rip the lid off and get one and I can't wait for it to happen

Probably the best coffee in Bathurst, and fantastic, friendly service, going above and beyond. I'd ordered 3 coffees, then went next door to the supermarket to grab a few things. I was queuing to pay at the supermarket when the guy from Hen and Bow came in with my coffees on a tray. Awesome service!

Hen & Bow are renowned for their bacon and egg rolls - and their Thai beef salads (lunch menu item for Wednesday) are extremely good. Friendly and casual staff - walking in here makes you feel like a part of a community. I think I would refer to myself as a 'regular'.

Incredible value. $12 got me a large extra shot coffee & this avocado & egg breakky... Quick friendly service, cheap, nice atmosphere... Coffee was not bad... Roast was a lil on the dark side

Gorgeous little cafe with friendly staff. Fantastic service....nothing is too much trouble! Excellent coffee and a small but very tasty menu. They're well known for their bacon and egg rolls for good reason! Tucked away in Kelso this place is a hidden gem.

Passing through town on a road trip, dropped in here after finding good reviews on the internet. The coffee was awesome and the roast pork roll to die for!! Hopefully will get to try again on our way back home. � � �

First time I went there it was great. Second time they forgot our orders and left us sitting for around an hour. Very unusual for me to give a second chance but I did and shouldn't have. Waited 20 minutes for a takeaway flat white only for them to forget the order again. Possibly should worry about orders than fixing the top knot in your hair.

Never been here before but hubbie and I popped in the other day as we were passing by, and I have to say the Coffee is the best I have had in a long time! We also had a bacon & egg roll which was beautiful as well. Keep up the good work we most certainly will be back.
