Review Ciao Pizza - Bathurst

So happy with our experience tonight at Ciao. Dad and I went for a late gelato treat together and it was delicious! We had the pleasure of meeting the team, Matt even came and sat with us for a chat and was so friendly. Andrea and Jennifer have a really good thing going here - great authentic food, really pleasant staff and an overall welcoming environment. Will definitely return!

First off, if you’re looking to go somewhere where your treated like royalty this is the place to go. The owners are so personal and Fit the experience for everyone. Me and my partner are vegetarian’s and they were so hospitable I was amazed!!! The set out was beautiful and the room smelt like vanilla candles. I would really recommend coming here for anyone even vegetarians!!

Finally tried this place and, what an absolute disappointment it was. The pizza dough was under proofed. The sauce on the ham and cheese was thick tinned tomatoes my kids couldn't eat it, it was horrible. We had the 4 cheese which tasted like a large amount of store bought Chedder or tasty cheese lumped on with small dots of blue. Oily and greasy leaving a combination of oil and flour and wet dough taste in my mouth. The price for this disgraceful disaster was $25. Thats right $25 for 3 slices of "pizza". I am all for upmarket foodie options and will happily pay for it. But you need to be able to live up to what you sell and, this place does not. A restaurant positioning it's self such as you have, should have a trained pizza chef. NOT to mention the right tools for the job. Partially heating cold "pizza" in a glorified commercial toaster does not cut it. I would be more than happy to come in and give you some pointers. This is not an intentional slamming of your business. I simply get sick of trying out the newest fad and having it be rubbish. If you are in the food game you should step up and do it well.

THIS PLACE!!! Being a chef myself, I find it hard to find a restaurant I can say I love to eat at! And this is one of them. The staff is extremely friendly, the owner is lovely. But the food! We had the pizza slab and also the Ragu spaghetti and loved it. Can’t wait to go back! Thanks 🙌🏻

Owner is lovely & inviting, but sadly the pizzas are way overpriced & although cooked well, are pretty bland.
