Review Golden Lake - Baulkham Hills

My family and I would come here often, staff service is always great, food would always be fantastic and fresh however the last couple of times that I’ve ordered, the food just doesn’t taste as good. The meat is dry and just awful! I don’t know if they’ve changed chef’s but definitely won’t be coming here again!

I have visited this place several times and enjoyed their foods. But the last visit was awful. The foods were tasteless.

Used to love this restaurant ! Less than second rate food tonight , order was mixed up, entree of sate chicken was like rubber , main meals barely ok, pad Thai please don’t order, rice very bland , charged for boiled rice we didn’t even get ! Lucky we had a great night as we were with great friends ! Will never ever return !! Sorry not sorry

Their chow mein I normally order is delicious and one of my favorites for a change I ordered crispy skin chicken today which was uneatable and dry unfortunately went straight in the bin very disappointing I have to question has something changed I will give this restaurant a risk for a while

I was by myself and arrived without a booking. Still, the staff were able to find me a table, even though the restaurant was booked out, which I really appreciate. I have to give kudos for the staff, who were friendly and helpful. My dish could have used a little more flavour, but overall, I'd recommend it for a good meal with good service.

Without a doubt value for money. Charming staff. Excellent food. Excellent service. Highly recommend Chicken Cutlets with Satey Sauce. Battered Prawns both entree dishes. Main they make a mean San Choy Bow amongst many other wonderful dishes.

We've been dining here for 13 years and their food has never faltered. It is the best in the area and we have tried them all. We do not plan on changing to another Chinese Restaurant as long as these guys are in business!
On the Move.

Harmony Lakeside Chinese Restaurant, Bella Vista is a hidden gem below the Bella Vista Shopping centre. Parking is directly at the door, and the view to the lake is lovely. The restaurant is a fantastic place for a lovely fine dining Chinese dinner, for a special occasion or a great place for a quick and quiet lunch. We were greeted with immediate hospitality at the door, and the service and smiles did not diminish throughout the evening. The food was delicious, plentiful and there was a wonderful menu selection. The new owner and chef is a well known chef from Winston Gardens, so his reputation and delivery is spot on. We had a wonderful experience last night and would absolute recommend to family, friends and colleagues. The Peking Duck was divine. Thanks Joe, Regina and James for a memorable evening.

Enjoyed Harmony Lakeside Chinese...The hospitality commences upon entry...The food is Delicious and Amazing and will tantalise your taste buds!! The ambience lovely, great value, with timely friendly service...On a warm day or evening you can enjoy a relaxing walk along the water with fountain... I have enjoyed Dining at Chinese Restaurants owned by this owner and the excellent customer service of staff...Indeed, I have taken small, medium and large groups to their restaurants for many years...

I used to love coming to this restaurant but now I’m sitting here for over an hour still waiting for our entrees to be served. Very disappointing. Kind message to the owners. Doesn’t wear your staff out, get more people. Thank you

I went there with a small group today. We know from experience that we won't finish all the rice if we ordered rice per person so we ordered 2/3 of the amount of rice required (as we obviously don't want the rice to be wasted). The lady that took our order told us she was going to walk by and check and if she saw all of us sharing the rice she was going to charge us per person. What the. Way to show trust in your customers. It made it really really uncomfortable. If we hadn't already been served our drinks was extremely tempted to walk out. In the end only 1/3 of us ended up eating rice. Today was the first time and possibly our last time there. Disappointing . Won't be back again. Rice really doesn't cost that much. We could have just ordered rice for all of us and have it gone to waste. We didn't want that . I wonder if that is done for say couples who eat there and want to share one dish. Are they still forced to pay for two if they are sharing? it's really uncanny and very rude . We were paying customers we really don't appreciate being "checked" to see who exactly eats the rice. We could easily have paid we didn't want to order things we knew we wouldn't be able to eat. For a good service I'm happy to pay double the price , but definitely not for rudeness. That comment made to check on us was not acceptable .

Ordered home delivery via menu log at 7pm and when ringing to enquire where it was now at 8.30pm the person who answered the phone told me everything has been delivered and hung up the phone. They then wonder why the second phone call was different to the first. For the price you pay for the food you would expect a little customer service! Let's hope the food is edible when it arrives!

With a name like ‘Harmony’ one would expect a tranquil experience at this restaurant. We entered to a shabby elderly waiter (who could be a grandfather to our kids 1.5 yrs. and 3yrs) asking us straight away to ensure our kids keep quiet Our kids at the time were engrossed watching cartoons on their I- pads. What a fantastic start. We were seated closest to the door and then asked if we really needed 2 high chairs? There were 4 tables occupied out of possibly 20 odd. None of them seem to be affected; in fact one couple when leaving came to pat our little one as he has the habit of saying Hi to everyone that passes him. At first we thought we would just get up and walk out but instead we decided to stay because we don’t often get to go out and our kids were happily occupied with their videos. Our horrible experience was just about to start. We ordered what possibly is the most common Aussie Chinese fare being fried and steam rice and sweet and sour Pork. We requested that the main dish be prepared with gravy a word that the waiter conveniently chose not to understand and made us repeat it several times (shameful) What is frustrating is this waiter kept choosing to understand what he wanted to selectively. Every table received what looked like fortune cookies with their cheque, you guessed it we didn’t …thankfully my kids are not at an age where they would have seen that at asked where is theirs. To illustrate his stupidity when leaving he asked us which kid was older. Will we ever go again there? Yes we might with a whole troop of friends who have young kids to prove a point that you can’t be disrespectful to young families and learn to be considerate of young children. Unfortunately we spent most of our time discussing how disgustingly we were being treated instead of enjoying a quiet meal. Business Owner you should be ashamed of yourself, note If you do not want kids in your restaurant Please put a sign outside “No Kids welcome” am I’m sure our local community will be happy to spread the word, oblige and de patronise you.

For great Chinese with a fine dining atmosphere overlooking the dancing waters of the moonlit lake.
