Food was tasty👍the service is normal but not friendly despite the fact that the restaurant was almost empty but we get a table at the end of the hall next to the toilet👎😡there was a dirty knife on the table, we asked for a change, the menu was splattered with curry👎🤨please pay attention to details and service then your restaurant will be much better.

The service was quick n efficient , we only ordered one meal with rice n two Nann bread There was enough for two ppl Nice big portions , when it arrived I didn’t think they’d be enough but what an illusion Ordered the vinderloo … very tasty 👅 thank god didn’t ask for hot version Thank you 🙏

4 of us went for a mother days dinner, 2 people ordered the banquet which everything was fine with. My partner and I ordered a simple korma chicken , the chicken was dry, absolutely no taste too the sauce and we had too wait for an hour to receive the korma meals. The banquet came 20 minutes before or korma so we were forced too eat separately and even when the korma arrived it was barely warm. Would not recommend at all!

Ordered a medium butter chicken, my understanding of medium was a chilli warmth throughout the dish. It means something different at this restaurant, this is loaded with chilli.

The food at this place is authentic and really delicious. The restaurant is spotlessly clean. My partner and I shared a traditional Indian curry and chicken tikka with delicately flaoured white rice. The portion sizes were not huge but certainly ample. We went there on a Thursday lunchtime. Sadly for the owner, with, and since Covid, the daytime bookings are still low, but he makes up for that at the weekend and offers a popular buffet lunch on Sundays. The restaurant is set in a row of shops which are not particularly inspiring, and alongside a carwash and kebab shop which commandeer a large area of parking, so you need to park off to the right. Don't be put off by any of this!

Make sure if you order through a delivery partner (door dash; uber eats etc) that you use a unique name per order to eliminate chance of error (i.e don’t use John etc) India Mahal do not govern their order release properly. I received an incorrect order, they took no responsibility for it at all and refused to redress it. Really poor customer service

I made a phone order of two items to take away, onion bhaji and eggplant masala. the order was ready when I arrived. They were both good. No complaints.

Have eaten here for about 10 years. And it’s always been good. Tonight got mains and sides for four. We all found fault with our choices. The tandoori lamb cutlets had not seen a a tandoori oven. No char, no rendered crispy fat, tough. Fish curry was super oily and had a huge chunk of uncooked onion in it. Bahjis were soft and tough. All the breads looked and tasted the same. Lift your game guys.

Sorry for the late review, was trying to find you via trip advisor but had some issues with that site or finding your actual premises. Anyhow a few weeks ago we came in on a Thursday night for a special Bartercard meeting with our friends and found your place absolutely fantastic. Service, food and atmosphere was great. I must add about the food though - cannot say it enough (the best butter chicken I have tasted in my whole life) it was not only colorful but splendid to taste and also the other dishes, pampadums, naan, rice, vegetarian dish, beef and vege dish and the desserts were just magnifico - well done to the whole staff at Indian Mahal. - we will be back again for sure...... !!!! All the best Helen and David, Langwarrin.

Chef Khatri is a brilliant cook. Together with all his staff he presents a magic dining experience, delicious Northern India cuisine, and the take aways are to die for, the buffet menu on Sundays are so inexpensive and the variety of food is amazing. Do try !!

We have been to this Restuarant many times and also order takeaway. Tonight I was given a time for the meal to arrive. Half an hour after that time, I rang to be told someone had just left. (We are 5 minutes away using Eastlink). Thirty minutes later, still no meal. Rang again to be told someone had just left again. Twenty minutes later, still no meal. Rang and was told again someone had just left. Very frustrated by this time. I was told I would not be charged for the meal and fifteen minutes later, we finally received our meal. I am sorry if I was rude but when you're told 50 minutes waiting time, wait 2 1/2 hours and have been told 3 times that someone has just left, it gets a bit much. But the food was as delicious as always and thank you for sticking to your word and not charging us. Hasn't changed our opinion of your Restuarant or food. We recommend you to people and will continue to do so

Terrible terrible food, after asking 3 times when ordering can we have chicken breast, when we finally unpacked the food at home and plated it, we found it was thigh and other cuts of boneless chicken, in addition to that the 3 different dishes we ordered all tasted the same with different levels of hotness (spice) all dishes were overpowerd with a synthetic smokiness that shouldn't be present at all in the dishes we ordered. The final issue was one of the dishes was completely the wrong dish. We certainly will not be using them again.

We came to your sunday buffet. Everything was lovely we thoroughly enjoyed it. The only complaint was we would have loved, to have listened to your background authentic music.

We had only ever had take away from here previously. Decided to call some friends and go out for a meal. We decided on a banquet and throughly enjoyed the whole meal. We will definitely go back again.
