Review Oporto - Baxter

Debi Slinger
Fuel stop and food stop. Walked by the Maccas to have my first try of Oporto. Lots of choices and everything looked great. Tried a double chicken burger - pretty basic and just over $9. Nothing spectacular but tastier than other fast food places. Staff were okay. Note: wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Dine in or take away. Clean toilets available. Good parking.

Good customer care at the counter. Didn't wait too long for a Bondi Burger meal. Burger was good and chips were hot and crispy. I'm happy with my meal.

Good place for a quick and nice break, typical rest stop, but nice food.

Consistently delivers quality Oporto chicken burgers! Classic Bondi original. Can't go wrong.

Wow. I feel sorry for the staff who are clearly under pressure from all the holiday makers. No need for the manager to come out of the office, hands on hips, tell them all to hurry up then turn around and tell waiting customers one of the girls will be with you in 5 mins once they get the orders out they are running behind on. No one should be treated like that for doing their best. I wonder how many times thats happened? Maybe that's why you are relatively quiet compared to the next door maccas which had queues out the door? Maybe get out in the kitchen and work along side your staff and show them that they are all part of a team instead of you vs them..

I just love Oporto. The flavour is much better than a certain, similar competitor. To offer one on the way to the beach is simply great. These guys are the reason I pull off the freeway! The wait time to be served can fluctuate, however, depending if they are prioritising drive through. I typically eat in.

Chips were great, my wrap was bland and mostly full of lettuce. What chicken was in there was tasty, just not it proportion. My friend felt the same about his chicken bowl. Would get the chips again but that's all.

Drive in closes up to half an hour early at the whim of staff members. Burger contents are currently being randomised - burgers with lettuce are being served with coleslaw, without any form of communication. Specifically requesting that burgers be made with the listed contents doesn't avoid the issue. Expect to be disappointed.
