The best I have ever had. This place is certainly underrated and deserves more attention! The desserts are amazing as well which are made by their son.

Sensational Sri Lankan. We've lived just up the road from Spice Shack for nearly 12 months and I am disappointed to say that I tried it for the first time last night. Disappointed because the curries are top notch and I should have been indulging in them for at least the last year.
I ordered the $13 meal special to take away: Fish curry, lamb curry, three vegetable dishes, and rice. The basmati rice was light and fluffy, the perfect bed for curry dishes literally as good as anything I've tasted in Perth. Bear in mind I've never been to Sri Lanka, so I can't comment on authenticity, but for flavour I'm giving them a 9.
They also have a little dessert cabinet and I couldn't resist sampling a few. To be honest, they aren't as special as the curries, but the apple crumble pie is at least very tasty and the pastry has a great crunchy crumbliness. The gulap jamun is average, not enough ghee, but it will do for those occasions when you just HAVE to have gulap jamun (it happens).
Best SL food in Perth (but dinner buffet pricey). I was lucky to be tasting their yummy food during an organized event at their restaurant in March 2014. Especially for us the Spice Shack had made the curries not too spicy, which I am very grateful for. Having lived in SL for 2 years, I have to say, this is the best SL food in Perth, similar taste and quality to the homemade dishes the parents of my friends make me in SL and Australia :-) I found the buffet price a bit steep though 50$ for all you can eat as one is full after 1.5 plate. But it was worth it as a one off experience and overload on really good yummy SL food. Eggplant, dessert, fresh hoppers, fresh coconut sambal, fish... yum yum. I am interested to see what the regular dinner prices are.

A huge fan!!!.. New to the area, I stumbled across this hidden gem of a place. I ordered the Chicken Biryani and fell in love, my huge belly is happy and so am I. You can count on me to eat here again.
Such a delicious array of food! The condiments are especially delicious, try the vegetable pickle with everything!
Outstanding.. I just polished off my first feed from this place (I went a little over board with the ordering, plenty of left overs!) and can happily report it to be the best Indian (or Sri Lanken as it were) food I've enjoyed since I spent a couple of weeks entrenched in Singapore's Little India.
Every dish had many depths to their flavor and frankly I cant wait to tuck into the left overs tomorrow (curry's all way seems that much better the next day).
The staff were friendly and gave off an air real passion and pride for their food.

Authentic, authentic, authentic! Having been to Sri Lanka only a few months ago, we decided to give the 'Shack' a go. Not only were blokes running the show friendly and very informative of their dishes, the value and quality of the curries were second to none! Be sure to look into their first Sunday of every month brunch; the curried crab looked a step above the best we tried in SL, can't wait to try it. Definitely heading back soon!

Cheap curry!. Cheap curry is becoming increasingly difficult to come by in Perth, but Spice Shack's still got it, and it's good.
Spice Shack do tasty, spicy Sri Lankan curries with nice big chunks of meat. If you see the board on the street announcing Chicken Curry and Rice for $5, give it a go. They even do that special for dinner. Great news for those of us who don't have a lot to spend.
The curries are SO tasty and not to mention great value. 1 Meat + any mix of vegetable curry is $10.50 and 2 Meat + Veg combo is only $12.50. They also have a "Pick Me Up" pack, which they describe as a "quick, fresh and tightly packed box of takeaway goodies".
