Always on a the lookout for good fish and chips and I have had this place on my todo list for years. Ā Finally I was nearby and needed dinner on the run. Ā It's a straight fish and chip shop with chairs and magazines for waiting only. Ā I asked which fish is good and was told they are all good so I ordered fried mackerel ($9) and a small chips ($3). Ā Most fish was the same price except for emperor at $12 so prices are quite reasonable. Ā I also asked that the batter be thinly applied. Ā About 7 minutes later I had my order which I took away to eat.The fish was excellent; a thinly battered plump cutlet of moist white yummy fish. There was even a second small portion of fish. Ā The chips were nothing special but certainly acceptable - no old ones, none over or under-cooked.
Maybe it was because I had mackerel but this was the best fish I've had from a suburban fish shop in Perth (6 years). Ā And the fish was fresh which helps a lot.
I've only rated it 4 because it's a fish and chip shop after all. Maybe it could go to 4.5 if I was able to sample more things on the menu and found everything to be consistently excellent.

Never had a problem here. A great little chippy; simple family business that doesn't pretend to be anything more than it is. I always have chips, fish and squid rings, though the Fisherman's Basket is also good. Yes, the don't have EFTPOS but that's not a major hassle for me!

I'd give 5 stars but why in this day and age, would you not invest in a simple Eftpos machine? I've avoided this place so often simply because I have to make an extra stop to get cash out. It makes the red rooster drive through seem like heaven. How many other people, do you think do the same thing? You'd get more than a decent return with Eftpos. UNLESS of you are dodging your taxes ? Ay?Ā

Best Fish and Chips I've tasted in Aus - been here two years from NZ, which of course has the best Fush and Chups. Consistantly good, friendly staff with added little extras like lemon which is served seperately

They do pretty decent fish and chips. It's good value for money, and quick and friendly service. A good local take-away place if you're nearby.
Really good fish and chips. Great serve sizes and the deep fried mussels are awesome. Like all fish and chips the sooner you eat em the better they are. However these have never given me that stodgy "after fish and chips" feeling.
Must be the quality or freshness of the oil.

Fresh, Fantastic, Fabulous. This little gem is situated next to another one of my favourite takeaway places (Bretts Pizza). Santorinis provides fantastic, tasty fish and chips without the greasiness. The place is clean, tidy and the people friendly. Price wise they are more than reasonable.

Not sure what kind of gold Triple A 5 Michelin stars service and food some people who whinge about this chip shop expected? This is a small, family run, neighbourhood chippy! I've been getting fish and chips from here on a regular basis. They have never once failed on service and quality of food. The price and serving portions are more than reasonable. The young lad at the counter and his family always have a big smile. Their food is consistently good. Yes this is cash only. Not sure what the big deal is for some people. Bring cash?

My Favourite Local Fish N' Chip Shop. Santorini Fish ānā Chips
Service:
The service here is friendly and quick. The servers are polite, nice and friendly. When I came in for my order this evening they greeted me politely and even asked if I wanted salt, vinegar or both on my chips. The food here also comes out in a suitable time. You can call in to pre-order if you donāt like to wait, but even on a busy weekend evening, the wait seems to be only 10 minutes or so. There is currently no EFTPOS available, so you do need to remember to bring cash with you.
Food:
I ordered 2 barramundi ($8.50ea), minimum chips ($3.00) and 2 pineapple fitters ($1.50ea). There was a very good serving of chips for $3.00, and they were salted just right. The batter was super crispy, the barramundi was meaty and pineapple fritters were tasty ($1.50). The chips were wrapped up separately from the fish and fritters which was wonderful. The order even came with lemon slices which were wrapped in a little plastic bag to avoid making the crispy batter soggy. Itās the little details like this that makes Santorini my local fish nā chips shop of choice.
Another wonderful thing worth noting is that when it comes to the fish you actually have a selection. You can ask for snapper ($7.50), cobbler ($8.00), Barramundi, Spanish Mackerel, Shark (bronze) ($8.50) or emperor ($11.50) and it seems that you actually get the fish you ask for. They also have a variety of snack/additional items that are super cheap yet tasty. The menu is well priced, and there are even deals available such as kids fish & chips (6.50), fish nā chips ($9.00), single special 1 1ā2 fish and $3.00 chips ($12.00).
Atmosphere: Like most local fish nā chip shops this place isnāt anything fancy, just some plastic waiting chairs, a couple magazines and a little TV in the corner... but really, what more do you need? The interior is clean and I like the fact you can see the people cook your food right behind the counter. I should mention thereās no dine-in option here, itās purely a take-away shop.
Summary:
Iāve tried a lot of my local fish nā chip shops lately and I can honestly say that Santorini is the place Iām going to be sticking to. The service is lovely, the price is great and the food is wonderful.

A good find. Looking through urbanspoon, I came across Santorini Fish & Chips. A few mins drive out from our local suburb, we decided to give it a go due to the high rating. It did not dissapoint. The food was absolutely beautiful. The fish was white & flaky & the chips were very fleshy & tasty. The batter was very light & did not overpower the taste of the seafood. We drove about 10 mins home and no oil had seeped through the paper like other places. A meal for 2 under $30, you can't go wrong. We will be back!

I live 20 minutes away and would travel to Santorini for their fish and chips!! The fish is so good not oily! And the chips are crispy! I know where I will be queuing up at on Good Friday! Friendly service. And the menu is big in comparison to other stores! Love it!!!!!!

Crispy fish and chips, attentive service, what more could you ask for??. Went to this place for Good Friday lunch, ordered a fish and chips meal for two. Portion size was decent, the fish and chips were cooked to perfection, probably one of the best fish and chips around the bayswater area. Batter was crispy and not soggy and oily like you get in other places. The only letdown was the crabsticks and dimsums but not their fault at any means. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place and wlil be going back for seconds
Awsome!!. It's was only fish and chips with a serve of prawn rings. Our first try at this outlet. All others are really hit and miss.
OMG, awsome. We have eaten from many fish and chip outlets and this rates tops. The fish was a good size, cooked perfectly with a thin crispy batter, not sodden with oil. The chips were wholesome, not the tasteless floury oil sodden type, and the portion generous. The squid rings were fresh, battered and fried on demand. Service was prompt and although the Mum and Dad cooks do not speak english well, they more than make up for it in a very helpful and pleasant manner. And the price for quality cannot be surpassed. I will certainly go back even though we live a way away.

I ordered two of the Fish & Chips from Santorini and they were superb! I haven't been here for years as I didn't like it the last time I went but they are so good now. It's really clean and well organised in there as well. Thanks for a really enjoyable meal, guys. We'll be back!

What can I say! Best fish and chips in perth! In nz we love our fish and chips and I think these guys know it. Fresh everytime we go (which is alot) big mussels and huge fillets of fish! The owner and staff are always friendly and chat when u walk in the door.
The only things they don't have are eftpos which can be a bother and for me they don't do burgers(I love a good fish burger) but definitely a lovely place.
Tried our local for the first time and was impressed by the generosity and quality of the serving. Service was friendly and efficient and the store was clean and well presented. Will definitely be back!
Amazing fish and chips. Regularly come here. The snapper falls apart in your mouth and the coating is crunchy. Chips are always great too. Highly recommend
