Dined for dinner Sat night. Shared the fish cakes & chicken spring rolls for entree & ginger beef with coconut rice & roti for main. All the food was delicious & service friendly. This is one of our favourite local thai restaurants & will return.
I visited Thai Tables on a Saturday night on a friend’s recommendation, and it was well worth the visit.
The Panang Curry was the standout for me, so yum. We also tried the Pad Thai, Pud Kew Mao, and Massaman.

Wow, what an amazing restaurant. Came here a few weeks ago for a friend’s birthday dinner and what can I say, yum yum yum!! We had the staple pad Thai seafood which for me always determines whether a Thai restaurant is good, and they passed with flying colours! We also had a masiman chicken and a beef with vegetables with coconut rice. Will be back to try their other dishes! Also well done accommodating for two little monkeys which aren’t always well behaved at the best of times!
My friends and I had a great Tuesday evening at Thai Tables; the service was so friendly and efficient without being invasive. The mains we ordered were delicious; the coconut rice was some of the nicest I have had.
I was especially excited that they served traditional banana dumplings and we ordered some alongside coconut ice cream with sticky rice for dessert. The desserts were my favourite part of the evening; I don’t know how that dumpling is made but damn I will be back for more 👏👏👏 Cheers guys!

This place is great! Came in with my partner early Saturday evening around 6pm and they managed to fit us in but the place was completely full within an hour! Food was delicious and piping hot, and great service! Will most definitely return!

My experience at Thai Tables was great, with only a few disappointing factors--which we were compensated for in the end. Ordered one of the whole fish dishes, I think it was snapper? It was deep fried and served with veggies and a wonderfully tasty dark sauce. Unfortunately I can't remember which dish this was. In addition we had pad thai with chicken and a crab entree. This crab entree was a crab meat mixture wrapped in a plump parcel, bound by a thin crispy springroll-type skin. Lovely meaty texture and almost bursting with flavour. Very very delicious when dipped lightly into the sweet sauce. The pad thai was one of the better ones I've had in recent times. Sufficiently moist, noodles cooked well, generous ingredients and good wok flavour. The overall flavour was skewed to the salty side, which was the only fault I could find with it. Here is probably a good time to note that those with lower levels of salt tolerance may find the dishes here too overkill. All the dishes we had were quite salty, but for us it was within our upper limits of what constitutes as enjoyably tasty, before it gets to the point of too salty.
Anyway, our disappointments were concerning both the timing of food and with the fish dish. The crab entree came out in about 30 mins, followed by the pad thai around 5 mins later. This was too long. After almost 45 minutes the fish finally arrived. We'd eaten all of the entree and half of the pad thai, and while waiting for the fish our stomachs had begun to settle and our hunger was dissipating already. The fish came and looked and smelled great, so my mood was lifted. The sauce I mentioned was so great. But, when we cut deeper into the fish, we found it wasn't cooked through to the bone and had to send it back. They apologised and said they would send out another one quickly. My mood started to die again. In another 10 mins or so we had our fish--this was an hour or so after we'd first ordered. At least this one was far quicker than the first one. However, they may have rushed this one, because that delicious sauce wasn't so delicious this time--pretty salty, which was sad. This fish was completely cooked though, but with the flesh a bit dryer. Still enjoyable. When it came time to pay, they discounted the bill by about $12 or so, which was nice. I would still come back, but anymore kitchen problems and I won't be doing so again, seeing as there are several other well-regarded thai places in the area.

We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday on 7th November 2017 at Thai Tables and we are so glad we chose this place. Prior to the party, the Manager Dennis organised a meeting and went over the menu and the pricing. He was very accommodating with different food requirements. The food was delicious and the service excellent. All the guests thoroughly enjoyed the night and were very impressed with the staff and the service. We will surely be regular visitors at Thai Tables. Keep it up!!!
The food is amazing here!! So delicious and very generous. Staff are friendly. Service is perfect and food comes out really fast. They are byo wine but drinks are quite cheap too. I have been here for take away and for family dinners over 10 times and have never been disappointed!

Great Thai food! Very authentic for its location. Our favourites for the night were the fish, pad Thai and curries! Highly recommend going in a big group so you can try everything.
I wish I could give it 10 stars but there is no option. This is by far the most elite Thai restaurant in the outer east. I have never eaten such good Thai food as I have here and the servings are so big. A banquet for 2 could feed at least 4 people. Fantastic service also. We have been coming here for years and we will continue for many more years to come.

Went there last night with a party of 8. We were seated straight away. It's quite a large restaurant and we were in a quite part. It was quite busy for a Wednesday night.
Our drinks orders were taken and it is also BYOW. We ordered about 10 dishes including starters and it all came out in perfect time. The curries, stir fries, salads and roti were all delicious. Best beef stir fry I have had in a while. Food was all hot and delicious.

I've eaten here a hand full of times, each time is better than the last. The service is always friend and prompt, especially considering how busy the place is. They're slowly expanding the place bit by bit so it does look a little unfinished - however that hardly matters since the food so good. I tried their massaman curry for the first time which was lovely and while I generally hate Pad Thai this place has one of the best I've ever tried. Its so good in fact that its only shadowed by Colonel Tan's Pad Thai over on chapel street.
Have been to Thai Tables many times in the last few years and it started off being amazing thai food. After having dinner there last night, I'm not so sure anymore. Can't fault the service, but the food was overpriced, and it tasted like mass produced curries. I understand it's a restaurant and they need to have large pots of things cooking to cater for all customers, but both curries we had had the exact same veg in it, and the flavour of fish sauce was very overpowering in both. Not to mention that the steamed rice was brought to us just warm. Not too sure whats happened here to what used to be an amazing restaurant. Need to find that point of difference again from all the other Thai restaurants in the eastern suburbs.
The service at this place couldnt really be faulted，very friendly and attentive. The flavours of the massaman curry and pud see ew were pretty good. If only the curry had better and or less chewy meat，it woulda been better. The roti we got was not bad，but was ruined by a pretty bad satay sauce accompanying it.
This place is always packed. Probably my favourite Thai for the eastern suburbs, however could not compare to Chin Chin. The Pud Thai is delicious, however the Satay was a little dry. Service was excellent, but food was slow. Would go back for pud Thai but everything else is just a bit of a stretch. Also is a little on the expensive side but at least it's not tiny portions.

The pud thai's flavours was there and it was right only one thing, the chicken is lacking in taste. And the grill beef salad was NOT GRILL. It was more boiled beef, it would've been a lot tastier if the edges was crispy or there's a charcoal taste on top of the meat, personally I feel like the sauce with the salad just tasted like dishwashing detergent water but that's my personal preference 😂 Service was excellent, but food was slow. Would go back for pud Thai but everything else is just abit of a stretch.

One of my favourite restaurants! I have been coming here for years, and the food never disappoints, no matter what you order. Service is always quick and friendly, albeit the occasional language barrier. You really can't go wrong with the food here. My favourites are prawn Tom yum soup, massaman curry and pad Thai 👌🏼

My favourite Thai restaurant ever! You can't go wrong with any of the dishes. I love all of the dishes I've tried- their fried rices, green Thai curry with roti, pud Thai's- they're all super delicious, I can't choose a favourite. For dessert I will recommend their banana fritter- soft (without being mushy), sweet banana wrapped in a crispy batter. I have nothing bad to say about Thai Tables except they are always packed, so make sure you book prior.
Very happy with the food here - either take away or eat in. After our favourite local in Croydon changed hands (and the recipes changed) it was a trial and error of local thai restaurants until we tried this - and now it's the 'go to' for any thai meal in the area.

Very generous portions (plenty to take home and have for another meal), very reasonable prices, delicious sauces, and killer roti and coconut rice.
The staff are always pleasant, and the service is fast and efficient. Nice ambience (even when busy), as the tables arent absolutely crammed together.

I was lucky to get a booking the night before because I know this place is a Baysie fav. We had a table of 10 plus a baby on a busy Saturday night. The staff did a fantastic job & we're so accommodating. They were always pleasant & adjusted to our rowdy table.
We shared a stack of entrees and mains amongst us. We had vegetarian spring rolls, curry puffs, and satay chicken skewers for entrees and Gang Massaman (beef), Pud Satay (chicken), Panang (chicken), Tofu Chili and Spicy Calamari for mains. I can't recommend a standout dish because they were all fantastic.
It's also BYO with a very cheap corkage. There's plenty of parking close by & the restaurant doesn't seem to get loud regardless of the amount of people inside.
This isn't a local place for me but I'd definitely consider driving back. I totally get why it's so popular and has such a good rating.
This restaurant is an eastern suburbs gem. Have got take away numerous times and have dined in a few too. The ambience is warm and inviting but with a buzz of happy patrons. The staff are passionate, friendly and helpful. The menu is not too big, yet has all the favourites with different combinations of meats as well as plenty of vegetarian options. The food is well presented, colourful, vibrant and well cooked. The prices are very reasonable. It's easy to see why it's a local favourite. Will be back again for sure.
Thai Tables has been a stable food source for myself and wife for the last 5 years. The food is always amazing and well priced. It does get VERY busy on Thurs, Fri and Sat nights. Most of the time the phone is engaged (just goes to show how popular the place is). We have had numerous functions there with anywhere from 4-30 people. The staff are always friendly and have never walked out of there feeling under fed or disappointed with any aspect of the service. A little piece of Thailand in Bayswater, who would have thunk it!
Group of 13 went for dinner last night and it was fantastic. The food was wonderful and great prices. The staff were wonderful and didn't even rush us even though we were still there after their closing time. Wonderful night at a fabulous restaurant will definitely go back.
Excellent service, nice interior and the layout of the restaurant is great if you're interested in a more private dining experience. The pad thai and stir fries are excellent, full of flavour and they are quite big portions so make sure you're hungry. More pricey, but good value for money! All in all, a great place for a local Thai experience!
So many tasty options to choose from at this popular Thai restaurant. Staff are familiar with which options are gluten free. I recommend the stir frys. Service was a little slow when we first arrived and decor is a bit tired but overall still a great place for dinner.
Best Thai I've had since coming back from Thailand 3 years ago. Regular customer here both take away and dine in. Its also one of the busiest places around so dont order or choose to dine if your pushed for time. Definitely worth going to when you have time.
The best local Thai without exception. Always busy and packed due to sensational food. The massaman curry is simply delicious! Service can be a little impersonal but the quality of food makes this pale in importance.

Fantastic Authentic Dishes.
Went there last weekend for the very first time. Wasn't too sure about it as Bayswater doesn't seem to be a place for foodie. Anyway, came and thought I would give it a try. Here are my comments:
Restaurant is on a decent class - Its a proper restaurant, decent cleanness, people BYO, they do dress up a little to come into this place. You would have thought this is not the norm for Bayswater (no offence but I am very happy Bayswater is improving).
Food is so authentic - Just like I am in Thailand... need to say more?
Dishes are in good sizes
Prices are absolutely reasonable - For its class and its presentation I think the money is totally worth it.

All of the above was very good. I will definitely go back and try out more different dishes. Its a huge restaurant, one side of it s a long shop and it looks like they have extended to next shop as well. During dinner many people come in to get takeaway, and it was loud in the restaurant too because it was packed!! Happy with this place.
I've only lived in Bayswater for three weeks now but have eaten at Thai Tables three times already! The food is incredible and SO authentic, you really feel like you're in Thailand. The service is incredible, everyone is so friendly. I love this place, so glad I've found my local gem.
One of the best Thai places I've been to in a while.. Good satay which is hard to find outside of south east Asia. Had the laab Gai which could have had a bit more kick to it but it was still delicious. Good place would definitely go back again.

There are at least 3 other Thai places in Bayswater but Thai Tables is the best. It doesn’t deliver, it’s not on menu log or eat now or other sites which some of the others are. It doesn’t have to be! You will go to them because they are the best. Eat in or take away is all covered and if you eat in, you will find there is plentitude of staff, so you are never waiting too long for attention, and on takeaway the system is streamlined to have you out of there with your food in a jiffy. And the food! Not having been to Thailand I won’t speak on what is authentic, though Thai Tables does claim to be authentic taste of Bangkok. Still it doesn’t matter to me. It’s yummy – whatever dish you order. I love satay so it’s always satay chicken skewers and Pud Satay but the curries are good. I’m not brave enough for the green so someone else will have to say but there is heat in the others. Every time I’ve been there the service has been great and I highly recommend it for a good night out, or some tasty food in.
I'm not a big fan of Thai food in general but went here with some friends and was quite enjoyable! Food was nice, waiters were very pleasant, food came or quick and sizes were more than enough, I would recommend this place if you're into Thai or even just want to try thai for the first time!

Been here twice and loved it both times.. It doesn't seem like much when you're inside but the food is really good and it's pretty much always booked out in Thurs to Sunday nights. There's heaps of different dishes to choose from too. I've had the pad Thai and fried rice as well as some fish chicken and beef dishes and loved them all. Def recommend to all after that food wit a heap of choices :)

Delicious food! Went with 4 other people on a Monday night (kudos on being open Mondays as most Asian restaurants have a night off).
This place was packed for a Monday night, mostly bigger groups and of course the take away's. One thing I noticed as I was walking to the place...was another Thai restaurant a few doors before it which was complete empty. And i mean no one in it at all :( at 7pm. Sorry other Thai establishment. Thai Tables is doing it better, much better! We shared our mains which was nice as I don;t often do that. Ordered Pud (Pad) Thai, Thai Beef Salad, Yellow Curry, Massaman Curry and a Seafood curry. Stand outs were the Beef Salad, Massaman and Yellow curry. Yellow Curry might be my new fav Thai dish! The Pad Thai is usually my fav but it was not AS good as others I've tried. (if you want a tasty one in the area go to Bangkok Gardens). Anyways back to TT. The food came out in like 10 mins from ordering and all at once! Was nice and hot and the beef we got in the curries was thin, tender and full of flavour. Will definitely have to come back and try some more. Extensive menu (mains round $17). All in all, great Thai cuisine and clearly the locals are loving it!

LOVE IT!!. We went there with our 10 month old last Thurdsay for our wedding anniversary and it couldnt be better!! Food was awesome! Very authentic Thai and service was great. We ordered one of the dish and my husband wasnt happy as it wasnt spicy enough. They made us another one extra spicy and told us "if you cant finish it take it home". It was really spicy and good.Thats what you call an excellent service. We live around the area and we are definitely coming back!! Thanks

Beautiful, fragrant, Thai Cuisine. This is the best Thai food in the Eastern suburbs. The food is fresh, fragrant and delicious. Great value for money. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Our meals did take a very long time to arrive after ordering. Restaraunt gets to be very busy so booking in advance is recommended. A couple of minor critiques, the paper table cloth- Tacky!. The backgroumd music is a tad too loud and makes it very difficult hearing people on the other side of the table, however, the food makes it worth it. Highly recommend! 4 stars.
Always a place we returned to! Good food and good service :) only problem is very tightly packed, haven't been since having children! In no way would be able to fit a pram through there!!
The best Thai food in the area if not in Melbourne!!!. Been there quite a few times. Really good Thai food. Maybe the price is a bit above average considering the area but it's more than worth it. Service is good considering the amount of footfalls. Gets booked out even on the weekdays, so plan and book in advance.
Bayswaters food gem. Known as one of Bayswaters top restaurants, managed to get a table quick, overall service was a bit hazy as food and drinks took awhile to get to the table, 6 spring rolls which were cocktail size at $7 wasn't a good start however after having the mains of gang gari, khao pud and gang dang, they were delicious, particularly the last one, a must order.
Have been there a few time's and its generally been fantastic. Last Saturday was the first time I left disappointed not only with the food but also the service.

For many years I’ve been eating here and never a bad experience. Fresh delicious Thai food and a spacious restaurant with lovely staff. One small suggestion would be to have the option to choose a pickup time for online take away orders or know the time before placing the order but the website does tell you once the order is placed what time to pickup and I’ve never been left waiting for long. Five stars!

We visited Saturday night for takeaway food to feed 6 adults. We rang the order through, for pickup in less than 30 minutes. And the food was so good. Parking is easy in the car park at rear, and walk down the nearby laneway.
It was my first time eat Thai. This was an amazing experience. The roti was like I was eating a cloud and the curry was full of flavour.
