We ordered two seafood grills which had an excellent selection. They had a house special going on the night we dined ($30) it included a seared lobster, angus eye fillet & creme brûlée. For what you get it was great value.
For sides we ordered the egg plant chips & potato mush with truffle as a side. Both were flavoursome, but it was little over priced ($20 for each side)
We also ordered the pappardelle which was cooked nicely, however it lacked flavour.
All the desserts ordered were perfect!
Overall it was truly a first class dinning with exceptional service. Looking forward to our next visit ☺️
Fantastic quality seafood! We ordered the premium share platter. This served four hungry bellies and had enough room for the shared dessert platter. Absolutely gorgeous food, everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. I am still dreaming of the lobster. Only critique is the service could improve, we had so many different wait staff that consistency would have been nicer. I will definitely be returning to try more of the menu.

The Lobster Cave has been around for many, many years, but I’d
never had a chance to go there. Then I discovered their text alerts for ‘specials’,
presumably issued when they’re having a less-than-full night or as a way to introduce new people to what they have. And so, when one arived on Saturday afternoon I was quick on the uptake and snaffled the $39.90 special of crispy prawns (entrée), seared lobster and eye fillet mornay oysters, and salt and pepper quid. Yum! While the very nice mushrooms and fries as a side (abt $19) was a bit expensive the overall package but still good) and drinks we got away with a very satisfying dinner for under $150. When you go to most restaurants you forget how good service can be. Excellent, not just from our waiter, but watching the others as they looked after others. It was actually reasonably busy, and we overheard someone say the regular meals were larger than the specials, but we were quite happy with what we got. Will certainly be back.

The dining experience at lobster cave is amazing! The seafood, was easily some of the best I’ve had. The lobster cooked to perfection and the sauce is to die for! The platters had so much flavour and different flavours, depending on where you eat. The service we received was excellent, you could tell that our waiter loved his job and that made our dinning experience a little bit more special.

If you are looking for the ultimate seafood restaurant you cannot beat this place ! For many years I’ve wanted to try the lobster cave and finally made it. The staff are amazing friendly professional and know their stuff. We started with oysters had an amazing seafood platter and finished off with a selection of desserts. For entrees, the lobster bisque and seafood chowder were amazing. Cannot recommend them enough. Full of flavour and with a perfect texture, they were absolutely the highlight.
For the main, I ordered lobster thermidor, which was comparatively underwhelming. The lobster itself was not particularly tasty but everything else was up to par. For dessert, the cheesecake and mousse were both great as expected.
The service was excellent, with us being seated quickly upon arriving and our orders being taken soon after. The food came out surprisingly quickly, and was properly spaced to enjoy it all. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The atmosphere was therefore very nice, with pleasant lighting and the fish tanks in the walls were interesting to look at (no lobsters though).
Of note also was the price. We used a groupon which was $120 for a three course meal for 2. This is expensive but the meal was very enjoyable. However, we also ordered garlic bread with the meal and coffees after. The garlic bread was $20 for 2 pieces served with olives and prawns - expensive but arguably worth it. The coffees were nearly $8 each. That is honestly absurd. Overall it wasn't crazy but I imagine coming here without any kind of deal may not be worth the cost.
Overall very happy, but just a little disappointed in the lobster. If it was up to the standards of the entrees and everything else, it would have been perfect.

I chanced upon this place because a colleague of mine recommended it to me as one of her absolute favourite places to dine in. She gifted me a groupon to use with my partner. We were very pleased after a sensational dining experience and immediately recommended this place to our friends and family.
Lobster Cave is located in Beaumaris, an affluent beachside suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 20 km south-east of Melbourne's central business district. Plenty of parking is readily available in the local area among the other local shops. Lobster cafe stands out as a gem of the area.
We were greeted by a friendly waitress and shown to our reserved table. The waitress was incredibly professional and polished in her mannerisms. Simple acts such as handing us open menus and filling out water glasses were executed in a refined and sophisticated manner. I was thoroughly impressed with the service here.
The restaurant itself is dimly lit to create a classy ambiance. Fish tanks line the walls of the restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant and lovely. The waitress engaged us in casual conversation and successfully upsold us some brushetta and a side of mushrooms to go with our mains. I was more than happy to go with her recommendations because she was so terrific.
We began with a complementary appetizer of a single scallop each. Wow! It was great size and flavoursome. It was followed by the brushetta - garlic bread topped with fresh tomatoes and olive oil. The bread was fluffy and the crust was firm. Absolutely delightful.
I ordered the Salt & Pepper Calamari as an entree. Each piece of calamari was fantastically seasoned and carried plenty of flavour. The barbecue sauce that the dish was served with had a splendid zing to it that I absolutely adored. My partner ordered the seafood chowder. The chowder was downright SPECTACULAR. Every spoonful made me roll my eyes back in sheer pleasure. The flavours of seafood and herbs came together for a wonderful symphony of flavour. I cannot emphasise on how much I enjoyed the chowder. I made sure to get every drop out of the bowl. It was a wholly tantalizing dish.
For the main dish I opted for the Perfect Match - A half lobster accompanied by a rib-eye steak and mashed potato. Every element of the fish was cooked to sublime perfection. Fresh lobster along with a tender and juicy steak left me stunned with pure ecstasy at every bite. The mashed potato was fantastically soft and superbly done. We also ordered a side of mushrooms - another simple yet brilliant dish that was cooked to perfection. The unique taste of the mushrooms really contrasted with the meats - all this further accentuated by the complementary glass of wine. Sensational! With each side dish you get a complementary side of chips, seasoned with rosemary and garlic. The chips were wonderfully crispy and magnified the experience with its simplicity and amazing taste.
Dessert proved to be yet another exquisite experience. My Creme Brulee was superbly well made and gave us a sweet conclusion to an enchanting evening. All this was washed down by complementary chocolate balls and a shot of rum. Perfect.
Lobster Cave offers food and service of the highest calibre. I highly recommend you give this place a shot if you want to try a wholesome experience of fine dining.

We have just had lunch at the lobster cave for the very first time. It was amazing !! Our waiter Hamesh was absolutely AMAZING. Sue was AMAZING. The food was AMAZING. I came here for my birthday and being a member I got a lovely bottle of wine at the end.

This was my first ever lobster dining experience and it was amazing!
The customer service was warm, welcoming and professional.
The Seafood Chowder was creamy and full of flavour.
I ordered the two Lobster tails main. One of my Lobster tails was slightly dry and the other Lobster tail was slightly undercooked on one end. Despite this, I still enjoyed this dish very much.
The mushrooms and garlic rosmary chips were delicious sides to have also.
The tropical pudding was moist and not too sweet.
The dessert chocolate balls were crunchy on the outside and soft mousse like on the inside.
I will definitely be back again to try the other dishes.

Value for money (if using a Groupon voucher) and tasty too, if lobsters and seafood is your thing, then Lobster Cave is your place. With its spaciousness, din lighting and fish tanks casting illumination, this is a good choice for a group celebration or a date. Ample parking out front in the relatively quiet street on Sundays.
This place was packed even on a weekday when we came round early. Probably better off with a booking. Nevertheless we were told to come back in 15 minutes and they had a table ready for us. We opted for the 3-course celebration menu which was absolutely delicious. Would love to return to try the other dishes.
Beautiful food and atmosphere. Outstanding service from Jordan. Made us feel special and exclusive. All over, the staff, food, drinks and deserts were brilliant and well worth the experience.

We visited Lobster Cave for dinner using an online voucher for a 3 course meal per person.
Upon arrival, the menu was very different to what is on their website and Zomato (the online menu is outdated). I was a bit disappointed because I had been looking forward to trying the Lobster Bisque and Bomb Alaska.
We had the following:
Complimentary - Scallops
Entree - Tasmania Salmon // Crab Fettuccine
Main - Seafood Marinara // Lobster Tail, crumbed prawn with Steak
Complimentary - Rum and Chocolate balls
Dessert - Fig Panna-Cotta // Creme Brulee
The Tasmania Salmon salad entree was a light and fresh start to the meal as was the Crab Fettuccine. The Seafood Marinara was such a plentiful and generous serving. It was very flavorsome but left me very thirsty by the end. The Fig Panna-Cotta seemed more like a scoop of ice-cream -> expected something fancier. The creme brulee was creamy and the sugar lid had a nice crunch.
Overall, I enjoyed the three course meal plus the complimentary dishes. Without the voucher it would have been way too expensive ($129 pp). I would recommend only if you are able to purchase a discount voucher (~$60pp).

Cannot give enough praise to Lobster Cave and their staff. My girlfriend and I came here and were using Groupon vouchers we had. The staff were exceptional patient and attentive to us, making the experience feel very special. The food itself was all very flavoursome and whole some dishes such as my entree pasta crab didn’t look anything special, it was absolutely divine. The main surf and turf had a great selection and the deserts were absolutely phenomenal. The interior of the restaraunt was beautifully presented with great dim mood lighting and fish tanks. The lobster cave club also sounds like a great way to keep returning customers, and the prospect of a free meal on your birthday for such a high class location makes Lobster Cave a clearcut 5/5 across the board for me. Good, old-fashioned restaurant focusing on excellent service and quality food without the fluff. It is not unusual for them to serve complimentary starters (we even had prawns once), and that's a surefire way to win the hearts of customers. It's certainly a huge tick in my book. They also offer complimentary small desserts, though these are usually less impressive.
The staff provide an excellent and warm experience. If you dine here usually a Groupon or some other voucher (you definitely should), the maitre D will probably already know that and you might not even need to order before food comes out. The ambience is dark and cosy, and there's a huge aquarium which should entertain the children.
The food is pretty good. The lobster is quite moist and tender, better than many other seafood places that serve lobster. Lots of favourites like the surf and turf or lobster Mornay, without all the pretentious fine dining reinvented stuff. Portion sizes are decent. At full price, the menu is not that impressive, but most people dine here using a Groupon voucher (eg. $99 3 course meal for 2) or some sort of special, which makes it really good value for money. Pictured is part of a $25 lunch special.
Restaurants like these are getting rare nowadays - such a shame. Definitely give this place a shot.
We came here to celebrate a special occasion and was greeted with superb service by our waiter Jordan who displayed the same attentive and attitude for the rest of our evening. We sat outside and had our meal over the faint glow of fairy lights which was nice given it was more noisy inside.
Most of the items on the menu contains fresh seafood so it was perfect for seafood lovers like us. For starters we had the mussels and seafood chowder which was creamy but not too rich. Each of the mains was accompanied by a lobster tail that was deliciously fresh, tender, and sweet. The Ferg's flaming favourites comes with a nice variety of ingredients if you can't decide on which mains. The dish comes with a lobster tail, eye fillet, tiger prawns, and squid. The prawns is tangy, buttery, and topped with garlic, the calamari is crispy and nicely seasoned, while the steak have a nice grill taste.
Came here for our Belated 16th / Advance 17th AnNiVeRsAy. Finally got to use the Groupon voucher. Been over 10 years since i’d first ever came to Lobster Cave. The whole decor has completely changed from a casual diner to a modernized sophisticated Restaurant.

-Freg’s flaming favourites: the lobster was fresh and delicious, others are all great. Only the steak was not tender enough, it’s a bit hard to cut.
-Asian papaya salad w/ smoked salmon: it actually contains a lot of pieces of salmons!

-Creme brûlée: very tasty, highly recommended.
-free desserts w/ shots: black sesame taste

Had the 3 Course set menu with wine. The calamari was so tender, the Lobster tails were grilled to perfection and the Crème Brulee was amazing. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed our night. Highly recommend.
Great service, great food! This was the first time I’ve been to Lobster Cave and I really don’t know why it’s taken me so long to try this place out.
Although the decor and atmosphere reminded me of an 80s style cocktail lounge, the service was pleasant and attentive all through the night; and the quality and portions of the food even better!
The mussels entree was delicious with a great kick to the sauce, you just wanted more bread to mop it all up! And of course, we couldn’t have come without trying their lobster- which was fresh and juicy. They really help make your meal feel like an all round experience by serving complimentary starters and free sides of chips with your mains as well.
It’s definitely worth making the trip to Lobster Cave, but just make sure you do it on an empty stomach!

Salmon was tender and smokey. Potato salad was creamy. The herbs and citus flavour was very subtle. The flavour of the capers really lifted the dish but would have been better with smaller bits to gently flavour each mouthful. 4/5
- Main: Whole Flame Grilled Lobster Tail
Served with rice and cream sauce.
Flavours were mild. Lobster tail was slightly overcooked. I would have liked a little more seasoning and more sauce. The rice was cooked well. Again, mild flavours. The addition of raisens were a delicious addition. Would have loved a few more in there. 4/5

I did not enjoy this dish at all. The presentation on a plate made it look like dog food. I ate a couple of pieces and couldn't tell what I was chewing on. We had to send this back. Fortunately the waiter was very good about it and allowed us to swap for another dish. 1/5

Brownie was quite light. Almost a cake. Not too sweet. Went well with the shot of port.

First visit to Lobster Cave. Came in on Sunday (5 of us) for lunch. Full restaurant. Noticed a lot of the patrons were on Groupon vouchers nevertheless - service was spot on and we looked at the plates coming in and portion control was very good.
As for our dining experience - it was outstanding. Top notch service and food - esp our waitress, Alicia. The Manger was attentive too and made sure his patrons were well looked after.
Could not fault a single dish - melt in your mouth salt and pepper calamari, delish king prawns with savoury rice, and a whole lobster (very fresh) with dill butter - divine. To finish off we had creme brulee and the choc fudge brownie with ice cream which was a treat for a sugar addict like me. The Pinot G that accompanied our food was very good too. Went home a very happy girl - thank you and would be happy to recommend.
Not So Much A Cave - Nice Place, Great Lunch!We always wanted to try this place and got the chance with a $79 Groupon for "Three-Course Seafood Lunch or Dinner Indulgence with Wine for Two People at Lobster Cave (Up to $230 Value)".Whilst I'm always wary that we might get treated as 2nd class for using a coupon, it couldn't have got much better - the food was great, the place is lovely, and the staff were attentive and friendly.For the price, place, ambience, and cost, it was a great experience - there even an "amuse bouche" starter and brownies with port thrown in on top!!

The lobster bisque was honestly delicious and the lobster, though slightly smaller then what I’m used to, was tasty. We ordered a side of vegetables as an extra and they came with a free bowl of chips. Plenty of food as my boyfriend who is a big eater was full. There was a small problem with one of our desserts and the manager rectified the situation by clearing our bill and sending us home with a bottle of wine! So unexpected and just fantastic customer service. For the price we paid on Groupon, I would come back again and again. However I am unsure what the cost of our food would have been without the groupon so I’m not sure if I can give it the same review for someone who would pay full price
Attended this restaurant with a groupon 3 course menu voucher. The place was very nice and service I cannot fault. Was a little skeptical due to reading previous reviews but I personally thought it was a great experience.
Despite everyone being a snowflake on this website and complaining about the way they were spoken to, because it's cool to do so in 2018. I had a fantastic time here, food was great, staff were attentive and accommodating even when they messed up our reservation they did everything they could to make amends even without me making a fuss which was pleasant. Ensured everything was OK and I left there feeling very full and satisfied. Will be back again this weekend! Keep up the great work!

It’s just we realised if you’re not a mussel, oyster kinda fan it’s hard for you to like and eat the food. But overall it was a good restaurant. Complimentary champagne 👌🏼

We were gifted a Groupon and ventured here on a weeknight not knowing what to expect. Overall the food was good (especially the whole lobsters) but what made the experience great for us was the service. Our amazing waiter Jordan was hilarious and super down to earth.
This dining experience was nothing short of impressive.
The place is tastefully decorated and the Staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was AMAZING,fresh and presented beautifully. Pleasantly surprised with the complimentary corn fritters and our entrees were ample in quantity and quality as with the Mains which totally satisfied our tastebuds and hunger. Dessert was another plus and a struggle to finish with the complimentary Brownies Turkish Delight and a glass of Port each. Several months ago, I purchased a Groupon voucher for Lobster Cave, which entailed a three course meal and which costed $99. Having never dined here before, I had the impression that the food would be nice, but probably not as good as what I would get had I have purchased regular menu items (and also thought that the choices would be limited). The menu options were both quite varied, and absolutely divine tasting. Following a complimentary starter of some frittata pieces, my husband and I received our entrees. His was a papaya salad with a very generous serving of smoked salmon, and mine was the lobster bisque. Very well presented, my other half's salad was excellent, and the bisque was extremely flavour developed, and astoundingly tasty. Shortly after, we received our mains of steak with prawns and a side of chips, and a whole charred lobster alongside a mornay sauce and atop a seafood rice pilaf (which was mine). Both my husband and I were totally smitten with our (liberal) portions, and really enjoyed each other's upon tasting. Prior to dessert, we each received complimentary port digestifs and some chocolate brownie before then ending on dessert of Belgium chocolate mousse and creme brûlée with sour cherries and walnut brittle. I really value restaurant experiences whereby the service is as much as a priority as the taste of the food itself. The staff at Lobster Cave are exceptional, especially the floor manager (Sue) who took so much pride in her job, and that very much exuded. We will definitely come back, as we were earnestly offered a wonderful fine dining experience, with 0 elements of pretentiousness.

Came with my mother a couple of weeks ago and left feeling special as well as well fed and satisfied. Got really busy, but had to sit down and write this review. Susan, who has been working at The Lobster Cave for almost as long as it has been open was so warm, wonderful and caring to my mother, and really made her feel not just welcome, but also special. My mother, at 85, is not the easiest person to please with food, but she really enjoyed this meal. A small lobster, which was just delicious with a little butter. A steak which was done to perfection and served with THE best mashed potatoes ever, and also soft, tasty and 'must comeback for' calamari. It was a lovely meal made complete with a scoop of vanilla ice cream to finish it off. Susan added chocolates and an after dinner drink. and also a small gift box that contained really delicious Turkish Delight to take home.
The menu is extensive and if what we had was anything to judge by, and the quite full restaurant during the middle of the week suggests, everything must be good. It was over a half hour drive, but well worth a trip back very soon.
Went here for our 3rd anniversary after always hearing about it nice cosy restaurant which was almost full ordered the catch $399 for two people was so much seafood the lobster was very nice and the prawns were huge I’ve never seen prawns so big also came with soft shell crab scallops bugs and a whole snapper was very nice also tried the Nutella martini that was very nice also.Great place to go for a special occasion it’s not cheap but definitely worth it.
AMAZING SERVICE! Second time we’ve been, and sure isn’t the last. It is pricey yes, but with the delicious food, beautiful decor, relaxed atmosphere, and exceptional service it is a 110% worthwhile experience especially for 3 course fine dining. The groupon deal is a great gift idea, or even Great for a lovely intimate time out with family or friends.

Had a beautiful meal at the Lobster cave this evening . Our waiter was Jordan who was very professional and very welcoming , courteous , and will definitely visit again
The food was fantastic and was well worth the price and the drive down to Beaumaris. Our waitress named Reiah was attentive and just a warm and lovely person. We will definitely be coming back, thank you for an amazing night.

A generous 3 course meal with a glass of wine for $90 - yes please! The service was outstanding, the food was cooked to perfection and the freebies were a bonus. We were given complimentary corn fritters to start, sweet potato chips with our main and shots of port with chocolates for dessert. Thanks for an amazing dining experience. We will definitely be back!
We celebrated my husbands 40th this month with a group of 20. We had a fabulous night out and everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The quality of our meals and the service on the night could not be faulted. Highly recommended for any occasion!!

My partner & I dined at Lobster Cave for the first time on Saturday 20th January 2018; and I must say our experience was a GREAT one! Our waiter was Ruel (my apologies if I got his name wrong) was fantastic - always checking on us, making sure we always had a drink & that we were happy with the food (which we were!). The food was delicious and the portion sizes were SO big… we were presently surprised. We ordered a lot (thinking that the portions would be small) & I ended up leaving with the left overs… we had the platter for two, the octopus, entrée seafood platter & spinach & potato gnocchi (lucky the waiter said to order entrée sizes) we also received complementary sweat potato chip which unfortunately we couldn’t fit in because we were so full! We also received a shot of port & chocolate biscuits at the end of the night which was a lovely surprise. The cocktails looked & tasted great to – the fairy floss champagne was my favourite. It was a lovely night & we were able to get a table out the front with no reservation. We can’t wait to go back!

My friend and I dined here last night on a groupon and had a 3 course meal. Normally they don't accept groupons on a Saturday night but due to a staff in training who mde an error they honoured the booking which was good. We ordered the kuro prawns and chilli squid for entree, the whole lobster in chilli and garlic sauces for main, the baileys white mousse and creme brulee for dessert. The food was delicious. We were surprised at the huge serving sizes of the main especially with 1.5 lobsters each. The staff are super friendly and the manager Sue was also a delight, checking up on us and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. The ambience is gorgeous with jellyfish looking lights hanging from a star lit ceiling though the lighting is not the best for taking food pics 🤗 we were even treated to some courses on the house which added to our experience. Thanks Sue and the team for a fabulous night.
Just a hint- eat the lobsters as soon as they come to the table otherwise they keep cooking and get tough.

After receiving a voucher from a friend I decided to take the family here last week. I had heard many mixed reviews about this place. One common review was "small portions and expensive". I honestly can say I was quite impressed. We chose the three course set menu which was $99pp. Expecting small portions we ordered a entre of bread, white bait, olives and prawns ( bad idea). It was really nice however we should've saved room for our actual three course meal.
For entre I ordered the crab fettuccine. This was seriously good. Great flavours, decent amount of crab meat.
For main I ordered the surf and turf. I was quite impressed with the portion size of this main especially. Unfortunately though, the lobster Was abit over cooked I found. Everything else on the plate was nice though. The steak was cooked well.
For dessert I ordered the caramelised fig ice cream. Pretty dissapointed with this one. Was expecting the presentation to be a little bit better. Considering everyone else's dessert looked exceptional. It was literally just two scoops of ice cream with a few figs on the side.
I would return here only for the set menu. The meals on the set menu seem abit larger than those on the regular menu. I'm not sure why, but if you choose to go I'd recommend the set menu for $99pp seems to be worth it.
Amazing experience, ordered The Catch what a treat. Wow is all i can say . Staff are so welcoming checking on your night. To top off great food we enjoyed the most amazing cocktails. It was a night full of great food and drinks. Treat yourself and get along . Janine & Kev

We started off with a fantastic garlic bread platter with prawns & a side of fresh fritters. I dined in with my family and we all choose the set menu. All our entrees were delicious. The seafood is very fresh and has beautiful flavours. I was a little disappointed with my dessert as I was meant to have chocolate soil and it was not evident on my plate. The set menu is definitely worth the money & leaves you feeling extremely satisfied and full. I was however extremely disappointed in a conversation that I had overheard between “ Jordan” & “ Steph” your wait staff. In a high end restaurant the professionalism from those two was disgusting. There were many members of a family dining in as well and your staff insulted how much they ordered and the size of the customers ( physical appearance) in which Jordan said “watch they will blow out of here from all the food they ate” and then they both proceeded to laughed about it. Myself and my family were horrified of what we had heard and thought it was totally not respectful nor appropriate to say. If you don’t have anything nice to say do not say it at all,as these comments made me feel quite uncomfortable. Besides this incident it was a pleasant evening and our waiter was very helpful and polite. I would have given the Lobster Cave 4 stars but due to the lack of professionalism and respect that came from these two rude wait staff a 3.5 is appropriate.

We had a 3-course Groupon dinner voucher for 2. Was there for the 1st time so didn't know what to expect. From the moment we walked in, the service was wonderful, smiles everywhere. The venue definitely set the right mood, great place for a date night.
For Entree, I had the "Pot of Sicilian black mussels" it was amazing, the serving was huge you would not expect that as an entree. My wife had the Lobster Bisque and just like how it was described, very rich & velvety a must try if you come here.
As for the mains, we both enjoyed the "Surf & Turf" and the special with was the lobster by itself. However, I personally just felt that the lobster meat was a tad overcooked and I would have liked my beef to be a bit rarer, but I guess that was my fault for not mentioning it? (normally they would ask wouldn't they??)
Deserts we had the Vanilla Creme Brulee & Belgium Baileys White Mousse, nice ..although by then we were so full we couldn't finish it. If you were going for the 3-course dinner set, be ready you will be really full by the time you leave. Overall an enjoyable experience! Our waiter even waited for us at the door as we leave, fantastic service!
Absolutely service of the highest order. Food is good however some minor shortcomings make it not quite excellent. The basic lobster is frozen and not local and fresh. Certainly the serving sizes are more than adequate for this diner. We had some Kuro Prawns which whilst are coated in bamboo charcoal infused panko crumb were a little too charcoal and dry for my liking! In my view overcooked. Fortunately these were replaced with some beautiful and enormous tempura prawns which were amazing. Dessert of creme brûlée was fantastic and yes the top cracked 😃. An expensive night even with a birthday voucher, fantastic setting for a special occasion.
Sleek operations at this very well established restaurant can't believe it took us so many years to get here .. it's an institution. Food was scrumptious, service was on point .. we will be back
A nice, well presented venue specialising in seafood and various Mediterranean inspired dishes. Prices are quite expensive for what you get, so much so that the only time I even bother visiting is when I receive a special deal via the Cave Club SMS specials (which represent amazing value).
Great venue for anniversaries, birthdays and other special events. The staff are wonderful and will look after you, but don't come here expecting value for money.
Fine dining at it's best. However im not a seafood person at all I went for my Hen's dinner. Service was amaculate and amazing. The staff were well presented and very kind. We spent over $400 but we went all out I got the strawberry cocktail came in a test tube as well which was cool and different. I ordered the macadamia chicken which was quiet big and juicy I wish the sauce was more creamier tho. The hot chips weren't crunchy at all. But overall I was happy to get treated like a queen.
Went there for lunch with my partner and friend for the $39 Main & Entree Seasonal Lunch Special. The shiraz and merlot that came with the deal was lovely. The service was fabulous from Jordan and Sue which created a pleasant experienced, Thanks guys! My friend said the grilled calamari was tender which is what you want. The ravioli dishes were delicious. The mussels were over cooked so they shriveled to the size smaller than a pipi. My friend asked for a medium rare salmon but it came out well done but the portion size was much larger than a normal serve. The prawns and mussel penne that my partner got was slightly on the salty side which says alot as he usually eats things salty. The lobster tail which we payed extra for seemed ok as they didn't complain about it. Overall a great place to go but make sure the chefs are on their A-game.
My self and my family a total of 5 visited this restaurant on GF night. It was full but the service and quality of food did not suffer.
We were served by a delightful young person called Jordan. He knew the food and menu very well and was able to assist us with the ordering. He made our dinning experience even more enjoyable.
The manageress of the day called by to ensure all was well. Good service..
As always we had a thoroughly great evening,, as we always do at "lobster cave" the food was fresh the atmosphere great.

Bought the voucher from groupon and had 3 courses dinner- worth the money - i had the tempura prawn for entry which was very very nice- main was Ferg's favourite and surf and turt - was a big main meal full of protein ... very nich but also very rich . Finished with a caramerlised figs and pannacotta ice cream was very yummy
My husband took me there for my birthday. Everything was more than great. From the service, staff and food; it was all on point. Love love love it 💖💖💖💖
