Review Watkins Bay Coffee Trading Company - Beaumaris

I have been a daily customer at Watkins Bay since it opened many years ago! Paul has THE BEST TEAM of girls who are super friendly, attentive & very reliable! I often observe how efficient & punctual the team are with door open, lights on & furniture out 365 days a year at 6am! Food & coffee sensational! Thankyou!

A convenient place in the neighborhood to grab a cup of coffee and some small bites. Hands down the better coffee compared to the one across the road with a larger crowd.

Beautiful coffee and the barista. The middle age woman who makes the coffee is the best barista, however one of the young barista is not that good.

Only small, but quite a few tables outside. Friendly service and very good coffee and chai.

Coffee fantastic...Cake /slices options still need improving; savoury options great...Coffee, beans, atmosphere and service are perfect. And pet friendly outdoor area...! And Quiet!

Cute place, friendly staff, uncomplicated range of food and drinks

Best coffee in the area and great batch of beans for home. Staff and service make this place a reason to make it your regular. Great bunch!

Never been here before, so I ordered a large takeaway coffee. It was $5.60(!). The coffee felt extremely light so I opened it up and found that it wasn’t even close to full.

The milk was burnt and the coffee tasted bitter. I was only able to drink a few mouthfuls before throwing it out.

There are a few good cafes in the area, so I’d suggest going to those cafes instead.

The best place in Beauy and the friendliest group of girls (and Paul of course)
Never had a bad coffee and always heaps of food on display to choose from

A small space filled with a lot of love! A great selection of raw delicious treat available here which pair beautifully with a tea or coffee! Great tasting coffee from here

Happily Delighted

I still haven’t been here, as I’m more of a foodie than a coffee snob, and this place is Definitely more about the coffee.

They still do sell food, but just what’s on display.

I only stopped here for a quick take away coffee and was quite delighted.

The coffee was delicious and I really like the take away coffee cup it comes in. I know it’s not all about the coffee cup, but it’s a nice touch.

I’ll probably be back for more coffee now!

If only we could rate it 6/5. Paul and the team are ready to make sure you get a great coffee and something to eat. Open 365 days a year, Post ride coffee with an egg and bacon toastie is on point. Sit in or take away Its all sorted

We just wanted a good coffee after a long day, my family and I dont live in the area so I had a look on Zomato and found this cafe, from past reviews it looked good! And it was, quiet and beautiful little cafe. We ordered and we're given exaxtly what we wanted. The cookies were also great, very tasty! Friendly service and top coffee. Highly recccomend :)

It's difficult to spot unless you get out of your car and take a stroll around this little shopping strip. I came across it and the owner is lovely guy who plays records in the store and serves up a fantastic brew. Drop in if you're in the area.

Coffee here is always consistently delicious! Have never tried their food but the sandwiches and baked goods always look really nice. On a quiet side street and there is also outdoor seating.

Paul is a great guy and makes the effort to know everyone's name and coffee order. Not a whole lot of food to choose from but prices are great and sandwiches and sweets are delicious. Nice place to sit and read the paper. Look forward to when he opens the expanded section in the adjacent shop.

Fantastic coffee and service! Great to see they are expanding 😊 the staff are absolutely lovely and always welcome for a chat at this little old school type cafe. They also sell coffee beans, which is great!

Just moved to Beaumaris and stumbled across this great little coffee shop. I really look forward to my weekend coffees there. Possibly the best I've had in Melbourne!

Brilliant coffee, always open and friendly staff what else could you ask for? Cafe is tucked around the corner in Church st away from busy Balcombe road so its a quieter cafe location wise, which is perfect.

Tried this place after reading the good reviews on urban spoon. We were not disappointed! The coffee was great and the service was excellent. We will definately be back and I highly reccomend it next then you are in Beaumaris.

Best coffee in Beaumaris. Super-friendly cafe. Great coffee. Always welcoming. Often busy but worth a wait if necessary. Try the gluten-free orange cake. Divine!

Used to live in Beauy and never ventured past Kicko..came to visit my old neighbour and was very impressed with the coffee! The fruit toast was delish and the service was very welcoming. Next time I pass..will definitely be stopping for a takeaway.

Beaumaris' Best Coffee. LOACATION
Tucked away off Balcombe Rd ( on Church St) at the Seaview Parade of shops this tiny little coffee store serves up the best coffee in Beaumaris and kicks coffee grinds in the face of Kicko's down the road
ATMOSPHERE
super friendly service that starts at the top with Paul the owner. Small area with comfortable seating inside and about 4 tables streetside. Decor is mix and match which adds to the appeal. The place is a favourite with the locals and everyone feels special with the level of service. Kids are well catered for with babycinnos and coloring activities. Groups of locals tend to meet regularly
FOOD AND SERVICE
this genuinely is the best place for coffee locally. Bonsoy is used for the soy drinkers amongst us and the coffee beans are roasted by the owner Paul. You can choose from the daily grind or a special bean. Small offering of panini is available with a home baked selection of cakes and pastries. I understand that someone's aunts or nan bakes daily for the store. Try the amazingly moist fruit cake
OTHER STUFF
there are two other Watkins Bay stores in South Melbourne and Bentleigh

Dropped into this unassuming coffee haunt on a good friends recommendation----well it was pretty good---this is the second coffee house on the bayside that I have been to which serves good coffee-/-well done & I'll be back.

Pre Golf Coffee. Paul is the regular stop off for my pre golf coffee on a sunday morning. I have tried 3 of the take home bean blends and single sites and they are all great.
Family friendly but if you want a table get in early as space is limited. But for take away coffee it is the best in Beaumaris (concourse and seaview combined).

First and foremost this places makes the best coffee within five kilometres of Beaumaris. I now buy my beans here too as they are always fresh and oh so smooth. I would eat lunch there once or twice a week and rarely disappointed. Staff are always friendly and the whole place is a welcome addition to the area. Only seats about 10 people inside but if you have to wait a little.. It's worth it

Love it. Not my local cafe but I make the drive down atleast twice a week as they have such good coffee. Tried the food for the first time last week, also very good. The slices and muffins are a must and really inexpensive. Service is great. Cant fault it
Sean Sullivan
Great coffee including specialty single origin beans on offer. Very friendly and prompt service. Also sell a wide variety of the cafe's roasted (off site) beans. The 'baby chino' also highly rated by the younger members of our family.

Our new "local". Great coffee and very friendly, prompt service. Also love the range of home style biscuits and pastries, and the take away beans are good too!
