Work commitments prevent me visiting more. Great service and food. These guys make the best coffee I've tasted in Sydney. Was treated to a small glimpse of the new menu a couple if days ago OMG!
Last week when our toast, which we had ordered, had not arrived before we had nearly finished our coffee, I went to check. Very soon, not only did our toast appear with an apology for the delay but so did a free, toasted, very large muffin! A lovely gesture when just our order would have been enough. Thanks!
Love this place but please bring back the old menu!! The avocado dish with the dukkah and feta was SO good
I live in the US but frequently visit my family in Epping. Longshot is ALWAYS a go to place at least once on every trip home. It never fails to impress with great coffee, great service, & great GF banana bread.
Delicious for breakfast and very busy! I had the breakfast salad which was amazing and my partner had the pancakes which were also delicious. Highly recommend
Love this place - beautiful coffee, efficient service and gorgeous, generous servings of delicious food. Plenty of vegetarian options too :)
Great food, great service, friendly staff, thank you
Always excellent and the very best coffee. 5 stars, hands down.
Fantastic coffee. So good I put my phone down and savoured every sip.
Just had lunch with a friend at Longshot. Food was AMAZING! Your Chef is extremely talented!!!
Love the coffee (weekly single origin is a great idea).. Great food..awesome local cafe
Good food, yummy coffee, fantastic home made muffins and scones!
My favourite place for coffee in Beecroft.
Stopped over for a cuppa last week. Love the passionate chit chat from the barista. Not sure about the food but will be back once social distancing measures are relax to give it a go. Btw the coffee wasn’t half bad either!
[invite] Bianca: It’s always nice to stumble across those tucked away little gems in the burbs and in the middle of Beecroft’s shopping strip, is Long Shot Cafe. The cafe has been around for several years, moving from the internal arcade to it’s current location fronting Hannah Street.
Really good menu that has a good range of breakfast foods. Their food is fresh, good portion sizes and great quality. Their coffee is great as well!
Had a lovely brunch here - good location and large selection of breakfast / brunch options.
The staff were great and the food was very tasty. We ordered the big breakfast which was very well presented and cooked to perfection.
The only problem I had was deciding what to order. So much amazing options.
Will definitely be back!
Owners Daniel and Melissa Farr have a busy cafe going on the weekend arvo we visited. The staff are young and abuzz with work. I do love the burgers here and they can be wholesome plus yummy. The pumpkin wedges are a good idea that stands out. There are hand crafted cakes, looking colourful and inviting. Vehicle parking is not that hard for the shopping centre has provided that, although at rush hour one has to be patient, in this corner of a north-western Sydney suburb.Coffee is Morgan's. Why head down to Surry Hills or Balmain when you can have all this nearby from home? This cafe is not to be confused a similar name sake in the Melbourne Docklands. The brunch and breakfast menu is comparable to what I find in many of Wollongong's better barista cafes but the crowd in Beecroft can be of a different variety. Maybe it is after Saturday morning activity for the kids and the older folks here look more reserved. We sampled the vegan lemon cheesecake and it was elegantly made, was rewarding and not too strong. I would return for the burgers....
Only been here twice - for coffee, and lunch - and loved what i had!
What works:
Central location on main street and near train station. It has a busy hum which is nice. Pleasant, cosy and light filled internal space with covered outdoor space at front. Coffee is nice - smooth and strong enough to know what coffee is being served to you. Hot choc nice. Pulled pork burger is lovely with a hit of spice. The hand cut fries with garlic aioli was awesome. I could do two serves as i really loved the aioli... It was light with a great dose of garlic (which i don't mind), and not heavy/gluggy/oily. They're good with kids.
What doesn't:
Only been there twice. It gets busy and it seems sometimes the wooden spoon system they have doesn't seem to work because the wait staff have to wander a but before they work out where the food needs to go. But not a biggy given my limited experience here.
Overall:
Definitely pop in and try the coffee and something else on the menu. I will do so when I'm in the hood again for sure.
Have been there couple times and tried both Breakfast and Lunch.
The Big Breakfast, coffee and fresh made juice are my favorite. They cook it in a less oily way which I am impressed and I love the sausages the most.
The Long Pasta also taste good.
We also tried the Beef Burger, the chips seems to be home made and are little spicy.
You should expect $40 - $50 for 2 people depends on what drinks you would like.
•Steak burger with chips and homemade tomato relish - delicious relish to go with the crunchy chips. Roll was like your typical American roll where it is sweet and fluffy.
•Great atmosphere and coffee, friendly staff
Come here often for coffee on the go but also to lounge about and read the paper on a chill weekend. Quiet and relaxing, friendly vibe, beautiful view in the spring from the front indoors window seats overlooking a big tree with gorgeous flowers (dont know what theyre called). Good proce, lovely staff (most of the time) and yummy food as well.
Beecroft seems to have quite a few cafes for a suburb with a shopping hub consisting of a couple strips of shops. It is a charming little village. Longshot Cafe has been around for a while and is one of the more popular hang outs. Unfortunately I don't have many opportunities to hang out in this charming suburb during weekdays and rarely on weekends either. But one thing led to another and I found myself having lunch here one Saturday catching up with some friends. It is located on a corner lot and is pretty much surrounded by ceiling high glass, hence a brightly lit interior. There are also exterior tables and chairs shaded by large upstanding umbrellas. For lunch we had: Open sandwich of grilled chicken on soy and quinoa bread, with grilled kale, green hommus, avocado and lemon. Pulled pork roll with a fried egg, and harissa dressing. Corn and zucchini fritters with crispy bacon, smashed avocado, wilted spinach and jalapeño mayo. J enjoyed his chicken sandwich; T would have liked more harissa dressing with her pulled pork. I did enjoy the fritters but would have liked more jalapeño mayo. I sure liked my crispy bacon! :) The iced mocha ordered by J looked seriously rich! I decided to go for broke and ordered a good cuppa coffee! :)
Well you have the best buttermilk pancakes I have ever tried definitely worth waiting freshly made!!
Only feedback I can give is the coffee is a little weak even with a extra shot. But still a great coffe, great service and friendly.
👌
First time for me. Coffee was great and the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon hit the spot for me. Definitely recommend and I will return to sample more!
Best cafe in Sydney. Impeccable service qnd food always of a high quality (never had a bad coffee or meal in 6 years). Lovely lovely people. Very caring and amazing with children!
Great food great coffee
Owner is best barista there
Love my morning hot chocolates
Thanks Longshot
Great food, good prices. The café has a wide variety of foods, and most (if not all) food prepared has great presentation. They are fast and efficient, coordinated, and are very welcoming and professional.
