So I hate vanilla slices, right? And my friend decides as a catch up she's going to bring me a vanilla slice from this place. I scoff, have a mouthful, and then next thing I know I'm seeing sounds. Absolutely incredible. If this was the 2nd best slice in Australia last year, I am genuinely terrified to try the first as I'm pretty sure the pure enjoyment required to top Banana Boogie Bakery's would result in death.
Beautiful tasy hot food and delicious vanilla slice..... it's well worth the drive for their food
Unreasonably incredibly delicious. Thanks for todays chicken leek black pepper pie and then vanilla bite. Was hugely tempted to buy the custard filled bun also. Hot pie. Fast service.
The best thing to happen in Belair is this local delight.. The Vanilla slices and cakes are the best. The breads are fab and the bakery always has a lovely vibe..

This morning I got up extra early and called in in the way to work to buy 16 vanilla slices for our work morning "meeting".
The doctors sat around the kitchen table analysing the vanilla slice and concluded it was a "modern engineering marvel".
10/10 in our books ���
So we had a Tuna pie for lunch ... yum ... followed by the best ever vanilla slice!� This evening is my 'night off' in the kitchen (husband is supposed to cook!�) so we had a spinach and ricotta quiche with salad. Now, we're not big quiche eaters but this was lovely ... not too eggy! Thanks Maggie ..... Jason and Shelly, keep up the fabulous baking.

The vanilla slice IS as good as the hype that surrounds it, and the pies, pasties and pastries are really good too.
There's not a lot of seating outside but they do a really nice coffee, to go with your cake.
They cope with the (occasional) Saturday onslaught of our bike group very well!
Yummiest food around! Great prices, fabulous staff and free tomato sauce! Will definitely be coming back, many times!

After wanting to visit for a while now my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dessert today; the famed vanilla slice and a honey log. But the staff really spoilt and looked after us and we loved the very friendly banter. We will return soon. Great for parking too.

The beef, cheese, potato and pumpkin top pie was excellent, no grease on the paper bag is a good sign to me but the filling was like homemade, totally deserving of their overflowing cabinet full of awards, ribbons all along the window, I can see why. Very nice service helping us 4 work out what to pick. My husband's fruit bun was decadent and delicious, I had the Vanilla biscot custard slice but couldn't finish it! Will definitely come again when on this side of town
I bought salad rolls from the bakery to eat on our trip back to Melbourne. We were delighted with the quality of ingredients, with the multigrain rolls being a real feature. The addition of pickled onions added an extra zing to the overall flavor. Highly recommended!
Only been here once and had one Oreo donut. Will come back! Was awesome!
2nd visit. Ordered a Steak & Triple pepper pie and it was epic! The pepper was very noticeable which is a sign that the chef/baker knows that pronouncing flavours when you advertise pepper is a sign of experience, understanding and not giving a f__k about offending people!
Pastries were not my favourite. But their treats are amazing. Best vanilla slice you will find

Fantastic pies and delicious vanilla slice, it’s true what every one has been saying, get up there and try it, you will not be disappointed, except on Sunday, they are closed, so you’ll be disappointed on Sunday
