Review Ruchi - Belconnen

The food is amazing. Best Dosa in Canberra hands down. However it's a ma and pa establishment, so service is quite a bit slower than most places in this segment.

Tasty food, quick service, Mysore maharaja thalis are the best.

The owner/manager of the restaurant has a terrible ego. He treated me as if I was asking for free food. Was very rude and disgusting for no good reason. This is the very first time I had such an awful experience at an Indian restaurant in Canberra. He has this special rude attitude for south asian people as I have noticed. No wonders why this restaurant is always empty. If possible I'd have given a -200 rating.

This is our regular Saturday-evening choice for Indian takeaway. The food is of high quality with a great depth of flavour. At the same time, dishes that are recommended as being mild really are mild rather than being spicy hot. The South Indian emphasis gives the menu a breadth and emphasis that is not common in other Indian restaurants in Canberra. The owners are invariably polite and friendly.

My friend had a dosa and I a hot chicken curry. Both were extremely tasty. Sadly the next visit the food was not of the same quality. Difficult to believe it's the same chef. So 1 rating of 5 and 1 of 1, average 3.

I think what really makes or brakes a business is the customer service, and I must say this business really looks after its customers. I called the restaurant and they were extremely kind and handled the situation fantastically. They were very kind and professional. %100 recommend in the future.

Bought take away recently and to say it was an extreme disappointment is an understatement. $50 for two curries and a bread basket. The curries were way overpriced at $17.50 a piece - the quantities were small (barely enough for two people) and the taste was ok but not great. Same goes for the so called bread basket too. We could have had a much better, much bigger meal for $50. We actually feel cheated! I wouldn't have given even a single star had Google let me post this with no stars. Never again from them.

so bad experience. ordered some takeaway yesterday night. I have ordered cheese Naan, garlic Naan and aloo Kulch but received three uncooked plain Naan. instead of samosa we got burnt samosa where those stuffing were coming out.chilli chicken is just some boiled chicken with lot of chilli powder for them. so disgusting.. never ever going to even think of having food from this restaurant. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY by going here. I feel sad of wasting my hard earn money on the bad dinner.

Ruchi I noticed that you removed my negative review from last month. That's quite dishonest of you. A brief recap for anyone who may be misled by the 5 star rating that your restaurant definitely does not deserve....it took over 2& a half hours for you to serve food for two on a night when you were not busy. We kept asking what was happening, and you repeatedly lied to us about when it would be served. When it eventually appeared, the food was cold, lacked flavour, one dish was revolltingly oily, and one dish was badly overcooked. Papodums were smashed into little pieces. When these issues were raised with the waiter there was no apology, and when we then escalated to the manager, the best he saw fit to offer was an offer of free naan bread 'next time'. As if there will be one.... go elsewhere.
