Review Jags Ristorante - Bella Vista

Nice ambiance and great food. A little bit pricey but still worth visiting again. Prawn pizza was the best.

Disappointing - pasta was good but what was already a small container was left 1/3rd empty. It’s just mean-spirited since it would cost another 15 cents to add the right amount of pasta. The pizza is definitely not recommended. It was undercooked, had sparse toppings and overwhelmingly lacking flavour.

Wow. I simply just loved everything about Jag. You walk into a décor that’s just all class. The food choices weren’t confusing and then the meals came out. We had the Gamberi - pizza Capriciosa and a Mediteranean salad. It was a taste of authentic flavours. I just love this place. To top it off, there service is 5 star on its own though we were served by Ange who was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely going to be a regular This place is a MUST

We had my sons baptism and first birthday lunch at Jags with 50+ people. Everything went so smoothly with great communication from staff, they were absolutely exceptional! We honestly couldn’t thank them enough. Can’t wait to come back

There were 6 of us and 5 people enjoyed their meal. We let our waitress know that 1 meal was not enjoyable and it was taken off the bill. We all agreed we would go back to Jags again, the service and atmosphere were very good.

Beautiful authentic Italian food. Pizzas were full of toppings and the pastas were to die for. I personally had the Gamberi penne which was packed with king prawns and absolutely delicious. The service was quick and the host was very friendly and accommodating. We will be back.

We have ordered prawn delight pizza, large pork ribs, marinara pasta and pesto pasta. Pizza was the only nice dish. Marinara pasta was too sour and pesto pasta was too greasy. The worst part was pork ribs it looked like they picked the ribs from boiling water and put some fountain bbq sauce over it, was not worth paying $45.

Located quite hidden inside a small complex, we went here for dinner on a weekday.
Decor was quite nice, a bit romantic and they have tv on the wall too. But it’s definitely not a good choice for a romantic dinner as somehow it was so noisy inside we had to speak loud to be able to communicate. Maybe because the place was packed with customers.
We ordered full rack ribs. Price was quite low, only $39.90. Ribs were tender but I found that they put too much sauce and I prefer the ribs to be a bit burned and not too wet. Fries were given generously and some were quite crispy.
Service was relatively quick considering they were busy with dine-in customers as well as delivery.
The highlight was the housemade Tim Tam Cheesecake. I loved all the layers with different flavours and textures.

I got take out and I got the carbonara. It wasn't cooked like how other restaurants make it. It was really bland and it wasn't the greatest carbonara I've had

This restaurant is extremely noisy. Don't come here if you want to have a conversation during dinner or on a date. You will have difficulty hearing each other. Wish they would do something to reduce the noise level (maybe put up some soft furnishing on the walls to stop the sound reflection?)

The flavours were all wonderful but the pastas were overcooked. Pizzas were delicious.

The service was efficient and friendly.

Had a relaxed dinner. Pasta was fresh and tasty and well worth having. Seafood platter not worth the cost, seafood average in taste and size and salad was lettuce on a plate. Instead of chips on side they were under seafood so end up soggy. Child menu lovely small size but quality was above average. Pizza smelled amazing will be back for pizza.

Excellent service and delicious food. The restaurant was very busy as usual for a Saturday night, but our meals came out quickly and we definitely weren't disappointed.

We shared a rocket, walnut & parmesan salad as well as a cheese and garlic pizza. The pizza was amazing. Definitely recommend it.

Our mains were tasty and delicious. My husband had the Risotto Vesuvious & both myself & my son had the Chicken Portafolio. Both were amazing & id order it again without hesitation.

This restaurant is very busy & quite noisy but it's beautifully decorated & the food and service make up for how noisy it gets.

I dined here with my friend on Wednesday evening for the first time. We arrived around 4:30pm as we thought that it was open since 10am (Google told us the wrong location's hours) to be told by the lovely lady at the front desk that they actually opened at 5pm, but it was no problem for us to take a seat inside from the cold and wait while they got organised. She offered us tea and coffee in the mean time, which we declined, and also brought us some table water and menus.

We ordered garlic bread for entree, which was delicious with a lot of flavour and real pieces of garlic on top of a nicely toasted piece of bread. For our mains we shared a regular Hillside pizza and a fettucine pesto pasta with creamy sauce and pine nuts. The serving of pasta was huge, and could definitely be split between two people or eaten by one very hungry person. I am not a big fan of cream based sauces but this one was yummy, although a slightly stronger pesto flavour would be nice to counter the cream. The pizza was delicious as well with generous toppings. We couldn't finish it all and the waitress kindly packed it all up for us to take home. We finished off with a chai latte for myself and hot chocolate for my friend, which were both delicious. We stayed chatting for a long time after that and never felt rushed to leave. All in all a lovely dinner with friendly service, will definitely be back again.

Pasta was well made and great flavours. Unfortunately I can't take much heat and I was burning at the mouth from my tortellini amatriciana. Also let down by the aesthetically pleasing cannoli which I didn't enjoy as much as I thought I would. Although I've been spoiled with amazing cannoli in the past which might have heightened my expectations. Overall a nice dining experience with nothing major to complain about.

Wow wow wow. Amaaaaazing Italian. The Cannolis are a must try and the Bella vista prawn dish has so much flavour. Could eat there for every meal if I could! Prices are good for the quality you receive. Small but comfortable!

Really really enjoyed the service, food and absolute value of this Resturant- we left feeling like we had found a real gem. And wanted to share our experience with the rest of our family

"JAG" Newington. Changed name. Food was a bit better, sadly same hit/miss service. Stupid not to put pot handle covers on hot pots! Then turn the handle towards a baby!!

Great service and Food. Great service from really lovely staff with good knowledge about what's good to eat, It's always a plus when there right about what is popular and worth a try . I really enjoyed the food and would be more then happy to go more then once again
I really recommend to try this place out ! It's famous for its ribs, pizzas and pastas of course it's an Italian restaurant and we did order the ribs as we'll as one of the traditional pizzas the presentation doesn't give the taste much justice. After a meal it's always nice to have a dessert , I had the Tim tam cheese cake it was delicious and the presentation was on point it always makes a difference when it looks good. I really advice people to go check it out.

We had a party of ten, and the table average was a score of 7.3717. Good food, nice desserts. Didn't have to wait long for the food. Nice amount of natural light.

A Little Gem:). Having had my fill (actually the word fill is not conducive) of 'fine dining', I absolutely love Jags:) The food is tasty, (you may have to add salt and pepper, but that caters to everyone's choice..I didn't need to add anything to my Veal Oscar...so much seafood and sauce...Manu would be impressed) servings are extremely generous and the price is excellent....we took doggy bags home and we are big eaters! Hint though....if you order garlic bread and garlic prawns...wait until the prawns come out and use the bread to dip into the garlicky sauce...we had already scoffed our bread and had to order more...you cannot leave the sauce....so very full! The service is wonderfully friendly, prompt and nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere....not a quiet, dimly lit romantic place for two, but a place which was packed (Friday night 23.05.14..8pm start) so it was a little noisy, (happy and chatty noise) however, probably less noise than our own party of 7! Will be back:) And thank you:)

Great restaurant. Love this restaurant! Regularly dine here & always have Risotto Versuvious. It is addictive! Very friendly staff, reasonable prices & can just park out the front.

Pleasant but not satisfying. Staff and vibe were pleasant but the food was honestly painfully average, especially the chicken portafolio. Nevertheless, would dine here again just to try the other dishes.

Just moved into the area. Here for two night and eaten at this Resturant both nights. Can not fault them. Great service, food is beautiful. Highly recommend!

Lovely staff, huge meals, nice atmosphere, only a shame the meals weren't that tasty! Overall pretty good although I wouldn't go out of my way to go back

Average in the Hills. There's nothing special about this place unless you have a hunger attack for some basic saucy flavour confused cuisine.

The garlic cheese pizza didn't disappoint it also didn't wow either. Perhaps they should mix the mozzarella with a another cheese to give it some zing. I found it bland and oily. Was the garlic present? No, unfortunately.

We had a mix of Entrees that kept missing the mark including a clumsy octopus salad that was served cold and quite chewy with an undressed salad, the calamari wasn't too impressive and the bruschetta would have saved the day if it had not been served half an hour late.

The restaurant itself is quite displaced as it is in the middle of what looks like an abandoned mini mall with bright fluorescent lighting killing any cosy corner in the establishment. The only conversation that would be audible is a one on one and definitely not recommended for any party over two.

The mains were chicken and pizza. The chicken was overcooked and compensated with very heavy sauce. The veggies on the side were nice.

The desert was a disappointment being the house tiramisu. It was dry and every layer was filled with canned whipped cream. The desert winner was definitely the tim tam cheesecake which although was surely one to come back for was still more of a tribute to the Oreo rather than the tim tam. I'm sure that no one would really mind when it tasted that good anyway.

Tucked away in a shopping centre and very busy on a Friday night (best to make a booking). Good pizza, excellent dessert.

Good food and service, best honey chicken salad ever!

Its always busy, always noisy thanks to lots of tables crammed inside. But the food is good-tho had better pasta elsewhere, and the staff are always lovely. Pizza is great and they are very tolerant of kiddies so a good family nite out.
George
Quick service, friendly staff, great value and excellent food. Tiramisu tower was tasty!
