Review Golden Bowl Chinese Restaurant - Bella Vista

Amazing Cantonese Diner/restaurant reminiscent of Hong Kong style cooking! The chef here can cook proper Cantonese Chinese food! Absolutely fantastic! It's been about 2 years since I've tasted something remotely similar! The magic lies in the wok and what's called the breath of the wok known in Cantonese as "Wok Hey." The high heat and oil causes the wok to impart flavour to the food in the same way that charcoal cooked food has the subtle tastes of charcoal. It adds that aroma and you can definitely taste this! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu! You have to eat here! Highly recommend the beef fried noodles known as 'Buddha noodles' with the flat white noodles, not the yellow chow mein noodles. Absolutely lovely staff. If possible, bring cash as cash is king in Chinese restaurants ;) UPDATE : Food is still great. Restaurant is incredibly busy on the weekends, but great for take away at lunch time.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE! DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. I waited for TWO HOURS for our food to be delivered by the restaurant. We only live 20 minutes away and it should DEFINITELY NOT take this long to simply deliver our food. Very disappointing as my poor family just wanted a simple dinner, however we sat around starving until 8pm for it to arrive. The reasoning was apparently they need to deliver to houses in Castle Hill before heading to other suburbs, which leaves other customers like us, to wait 2 hours for dinner. I was offered a discount the next time I visit for the delay, however I will reject this offer as I will certainly never go again. The restaurant should not offer delivery services if they cannot fulfil them on time and I can clearly see from the other reviews on google that there is plentiful other occasions that this has happened. The food was not worth the wait, very overpriced for small portions. I will never order from this place again. They do not deserve my money.

What a pleasure to find such wonderful food so close to my accomodation while staying in Norwest Sydney. Vegetable spring rolls so fresh with delicious pastry. A special combination soup to warm me on a cold autumn evening. The fish fillets dish with spicy fresh ginger was a treat. Excellent value for money and Candy my waitress was so friendly and helpful. Serendipitously I bumped into a colleague who lives locally and with his wife eats here regularly. 5/5 I’ll be back again too.

By far and away the rudest person I have ever met. She does not deserve to work/own a restaurant. She is rude to her staff, rude to uber drivers just trying to pick up orders. But according to her - we shouldn't be wasting her time because she is busy. Yeah busy being a pathetic excuse for a human. Terrible service and I would not visit this place. We hear about small businesses suffering and feel for them.this one deserves to burn to learn some respect.giving them one star is an overstatement, minus 15. if you wanted to be disrespected or threatened visit this place.

Honestly the best Chinese I’ve ever had. The Mongolian Lamb was so tender, the special fried rice was just perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant, the delivery was also very quick.

We got 3 dishes (Mongolian Beef, Satay Chicken and Combination Chow Mein) and they were all pretty bland and lacking in flavour. Big portions though but the satay chicken in particular had barely any satay flavour.

Delicious food and helpful staff. Our favorites were vegetable chow mein with crispy noodles , vegetarian spring role and vegetable fried rice.

Our favourite Chinese take away restaurant in the Hills District. The food is consistently good and also well priced, we also love that the food is always cooked very quickly
