Review Katsu Japanese Restaurant - Bella Vista

At first glance this seemed like it would be good. The Karage Chicken Ramen looks great but the broth was far too weak to be enjoyable. The sushi was way to expensive when you consider the quality of it, next to no chicken or avo and small portions. Left unsatisfied.

We've visited regularly for a quick and easy meal. The sushi train is well stocked and you can order hot items which are cooked for you. No complaints from me.

Came in on a Thursday evening as my son wanted to try Sushi Train and this was the only place we could find close by. Restaurant was completely empty. Staff member greeted us and continued to do her work. Food on the train menu though I’d have to say is below average and not much variety. Looked like it’d be going around the whole day so didn’t look fresh and didn’t taste fresh either. Don’t think I’ll come back. The prices are also ridiculously expensive!

I was very disappointed with the service. There was dirty plates at many of the tables and stations. I asked the staff to clean it up and they said ask some one else. I then proceeded to find a table where I was not as dirty when I sat down I was told they do not have any wasabi and was snorted at. I was very disappointed with the service that I got up and walked out with out eating. I am now eating 2min walk at Tokio fans where I was greeted with the utmost respect and service the food is incredible and would recommend theirs place to any one. Don’t waste your time going to katsu.

Sushi was ok, wasn't greeted when we entered the store. The sushi is considerably expensive being $1-$2 more than most places. That'd be fine except some plates have 1 piece less that other establishments, and are very stingy on ingredients. It also looked like they were making some cuts of the sushi rolls shorter than most.

Katsu restaurant don't even have the pork katsu. No varieties in sushi selection either. Far overcooked noodles were greasy as ever. Could not have it without the ginger pickles. Takoyaki balls and fried gyoza were not even covered, so the flies can have it first!!! Poor hygiene!!! Anyone can make it better at home. Never ever again!

I don't know what to say - the staff weren't rude, there weren't any bugs in our food, however...we walked in at 6pm on a Thursday evening, the exterior facade looked decent and the tables were set. The first sign something was a little off was that there was absolutely no acknowledgement of our presence by the man and woman in the open kitchen (no waitstaff). A little odd but we sat down at a table adjoining the sushi train - table was sticky and the adjacent window dirty, with a neighbouring Coles trolley just outside the kitchen entrance. Decided to order food from the menu, which was made difficult by the fact that it was covered in clingwrap, and too little of it, resulting in the menu unable to be completely opened and the items barely legible. The restaurant was empty bar a customer apparently waiting for takeaway. A lady came in with her two daughters, she walked into the kitchen and began speaking to the staff in Mandarin. When I stood up and tried to get her attention to order from the menu, she simply pointed at the female staff member. We ordered the purple rice salmon avocado, which was actually quite fresh and nice. As no one seemed to mind, I walked over to the fridge and helped myself to the water jug and some cups, and also the cutlery at the till. Ultimately, had some sushi from the train (fine) and some udon (also fine), but overall the experience left us bemused and not keen to repeat it. Were they actually closed? Do they not want customers? Very strange.

Bad service, asked for table water and was never given any. Staff seemed too busy to serve customers. Beef teriyaki was not tender and eel portions were very small. Some of the sushi train wasn't bad but did not make up for overall experience

Stopped by for a quick lunch, the restaurant is located inside Norwest Marketown. They have a sushi train but I opted for the Tempura Udon, felt like something soupy. Quite nice though the tempura did not come with any vegetable chunks but small strips. Quick service

Located near the food court area, inside Norwest Marketown, this venue serves sushi and other Japanese food meals. I came here to buy sushi for takeaway.
Delicious.
