Raelene, Lara and their team did an amazing job catering our wedding. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was exactly what we wanted. We got great quality and in such a quantity. We couldn’t be happier with the food, and all of our guests left satisfied. Excellent staff, delicious food and in such a huge quantity, what more can you need.

Food is good. Though we had to remind them to bring out the honey for our tea and the second coffee. The pancakes really needed cream, the syrup was very sweet and needed the cream to break up that sweet syrup. Otherwise the food was delicious. It would have been great to have the butter on a little side dish as well. The butter melted and fell off pankaes into the maple syrup. Will try again. I'd suggest sitting out the back, it's a lovely little outdoor area.

Great meal and wonderful service. It was a group booking and they made it into a buffet which was very reasonably priced with more than enough food that was absolutely delicious. Full marks to the Epicurean . We have decided to go back again next month.

With new owners on the sign board we entered the Epicurean Deli in Mitchell st. Staff member Carlo made us welcome from the moment we entered and while we were deciding on something from great range of "Italian style" dishes, Carlo suggested to try a Sri Lankan dish called an Egg Hopper with coconut Sambal (Not always on the menu) I did and absolutely loved it. My wife ended up with Eggs Benedict, fabulous. The coffee was great and the prices reasonable.So many choices and all look delicious. Also, talk to Carlo about Italian and French cheeses. Fabulous. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our "brunch" at The Epicurean

Food is fairly expensive for a cafe but i did enjoy it. Lots of salad choices as well as pasta, chicken schnitzel, various cheeses, cakes and apparently yummy coffees all with eat in and take away options.

what a pretentious experience we had. eggs benedict and coffee. hollandaise actually had NO taste. the hash brown is just a common old home brand variety and was almost dripping in oil. the bread was meant to be sourdough. however, i recognise the look as helgas. the coffee was a massive disappointment. lukewarm, weak. meant to be strong. the eggs were of a very good quality as seen by the incredibly rich golden yolks. they tasted magnificent, and were cooked perfectly. the bacon was also cooked very well. however, not much of it. would have been lucky to have been one rasher. EXPENSIVE, POOR QUALITY BREAD AND HASH BROWN. PATHETIC COFFEE. won't be going there ever again. especially when i noted how expensive all their other food and products are! a bowl of soup (and a medium size, not a big bowl), is...... $13!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! could make a massive saucepan full for less than that!!!!! nope, will not be going there again. ever.

Lovely, fresh, home made food. Nice atmosphere. Only wish they were open for dinner! The Sicilian pasta and Italian donuts are to die for!

Had an Eggs Benedict and Iced coffee after driving all night from Brisbane (literally all night!). This breakfast woke me up and I felt brand new. Excellent shop, cafe, customer service and food. Will definitely be coming back here one day. �

Amazingly flavorsome food, prepared fresh with care. I always leave happy and with a bursting belly from this place. The staff have always been welcoming and efficient as well. If you value proper food at a great price in a nice atmosphere, this is a must visit destination!

I have enjoyed excellent coffee and delicious food from the friendly people at the Epicurean Delicatessen for two days running. Very generous sized serves too..

We go here on a regular basis and always ends up as a meeting point. Incredible selection of food and delicious.

I love this place SOOOO much. The choices are staggering and it's the only place I eat salmon. It's amazing. My fav barista. Tony and Maria are legendary and the staff are hospitable and go out of their way to look after you.

Went to the Italian dinner last night and it's one of the best nights we have had in a long time. The food was amazing and I tried wines I would never try. Well done for a great night.

Soooo disappointing. This place used to be amazing. The old owners had a passion for good food, and quality! Came for lunch the other day, the meals were bland and the atmosphere was very dull. Ridiculously overpriced also. Sorry to say but I won’t be coming back.

Great coffee, lovely friendly service and a wide variety of choice of yummy Italian food. This is a classic deli style cafe that is authentic. A different vibe to the modern cafe, for sure, but a refreshing change & these people make you feel genuinely welcome, valued & comfortable.

Delicious breakfast and friendly staff. I had an amazing zucchini fritters dish with fresh juice that was probably the best brekkie I've had this year. The other food on display also looked great. Not cheap but it was good quality & serving size for what you get

Went to Bendigo today and tried the epicurean deli for lunch. Had to wait a long time for re-heated food. Meal was ok but for the money we paid I would preferred to eat at a restaurant. <br/>Expensive and ordinary at best.

Service is okay, and the atmosphere is good like a really authentic Italian deli. It's a family business which I also love. However the biggest let down for me, is their food is reheated. They have about 4-5 microwaves set up and they reheat food on order. I appreciate that all the food is still homecooked, but when I go to an authentic Italian restaurant, I expect the food to be fresh, not scalding hot and mushy because it's had the crap heated out of it in a microwave. If you have to go here, order a cold salad or a coffee. Or don't waste your time.

Some places you feel comfortable straight away. It's a combination of a nice atmosphere but also the food is like how Grandma would cook a meal.

Fantastic every time. I have been to the Epicurean several times and each time it is delicious. It's a busy cafe/deli, but I've always had satisfactory service. The food is just beautiful, never a let down.

Wow really enjoyed the food here. This place has everything going for it and from the moment you walk in you are greeted by a traditional deli interior full of imported goods and delicacies. It's busy, there's lots of staff and there is a great selection of mouth watering options for lunch, or you can make up a mixed plate. For a deli lunch the meals are not cheap as we hit $25 each for our four plates BUT the meals are terrific and worth it... just like nonna would make at home! I will be back and you should give it try too.

Food was lovely. Coffee was.... Food was lovely.<br/>Coffee was too milky. And when I went to toilet, my coffee was on the table already. Waitress didn't say anything when she served my food. I visited not busy time. I had have first time that's kind of service at cafe and restaurant

Nice Breakfast. Very busy, but rightly so. A great breakfast and the deli options looked fantastic. Only slight downer was that the eggs were very slightly vinegary. Coffee was good and kids enjoyed themselves.

Oh my gosh. the smell of this place is amazing. coffee is yummyyyy. and after craving pancakes all day and being unable to find any anywhere,this little slice of heaven came through with the goods. also very cheap for the meal size. from melbourne but will return on my next visit for a three course meal!!

I like coming here for a spicy pasta with aranchini or similar. Decent coffee, really nice food. Worth a try, normally around 20 for lunch with a latte.

My brother and I spent over $300 here on Christmas eve. A $50 wheel of cheese expired on the 27th (this was no small wheel of cheese). We tried to take it back, but we're met with " we sold it to you within the time frame, we can't do anything". We are not rodents so eating this wheel of cheese in 3 days is proving to be difficult. Guess what we're having for dinner. They've lost our vote.

Overpriced. Staff: quite friendly. <br/><br/>The deli range is very good, as is the decor.<br/><br/>It is, however, very overpriced for what is essentially cafe food.

Deli plus. Stocked with the widest range of continental products particularly cheeses in Bendigo. Lunches never fail to impress. Family business with a family feel. Has a justified dedicated following. Sqeeze in for lunch often and be happy!

Decent serving size, tasty food, and decent pricing. My poached egg was overcooked but the rest was perfect. Pesto is a bit salty but otherwise tasty. Overall was good. It has a decent sized courtyard at the back, and staff were friendly and apologetic about the wait on my meal.

The Epicurean feels like family without even knowing the owners. I wish I worked close enough to stop in every lunch time because I'll guarantee they know their regulars by more than just name only, the staff are all smiles and as Luke put it "the service is excellent without trying to be." I also love pla
