Review Edwards Providore - Bendigo

Good coffee Lovely ambiance Strange having to find a table then leaving it to queue in the produce store to place order and pay!

Its always hard to find a great cafe as a solo traveller. So I usually ask locals. I was told to come here to Edwards. Well l was truly impressed on this Cafe's decor and atmosphere from the moment l walked in. The food was beautiful, of good size serving, and the coffee was HOT and delicious. It's also a shop to buy gifts and condiments. Beautiful! I'd definitely recommend this place to allđź‘Ť.

Takeaway coffee disappointing, milky and not very warm. Found hair entwined in my sausage roll and when I phoned to let the manager know he acted interested but have not noticed any changes to hygiene standard since i.e staff with long hair not tied back when serving food. The shop is nice and the cakes are good.

Have gone here a few times. Lovely decor, average staff & service, great food, though expensive. Multiple times I've asked for the advertised "ice tea of the day", to which they haven't had one, and then when I ordered a smoothie/juice, it arrives literally after we've finished meals and others have finished their drinks.

Terrible take away experience for my third time /: hence why I need to right this review and rate this business 1 star. Waited for a very very long time… Was prioritised last after all the dine in coffees were served that were taken after my order. Average coffee not even filled to the brim, only three quarters full. Very bubbly, not creamy throughout for all the reviews and hype. Also, bought 1 kilo of coffee beans and was charged $15 for it instead of the $52. I had to bring it to their attention that they were only charging me for only 250 grams instead of the kilo. As an honest person I brought it to their attention. Next time I’ll get my takeaway coffee at McDonald’s.

Edwards is great. I like the lively atmosphere here and the front of the Cafe is situated in a good spot to take in the sun. They seemed to have a good mix on the menu and the food that was cing out of the kitchen looked delish. I guess my pet peeve is places charging an extra 1$ for plant based milk. Seriously in today's climate this isn't cool and they need to review this. Cmon guys time to change this.

Mediocre food and coffee, however for a “family friendly cafe”, it is almost impossible to fit a pram through the tables because they place them so close to each other! I had to move tables and chairs just to fit my pram through to sit down! Just something to keep in mind if you have young children. Also seems to have changed management which is very clear, and constantly have a staff turnover. Drinks were coming out after our meals. Not the best experience.

This little café in Strath Village, which is also a little gourmet grocery store. Very open space, beautiful interior, decent service from the staff, and an inexpensive menu. You order at the counter, which is a little unconventional for a brunch place but we didn't mind. We ordered the gnocchi and daily special of zucchini and Halloumi. Both were absolutely delicious. My gnocchi was so freshly made it was very soft and fluffy; best gnocchi I've had in a long time. The spinach, feta and roasted pumpkin all complemented each other well. The zucchini and halloumi was delicious too, full of flavour. This place exceeded my expectations for sure, and I'll definitely return.

I have been here twice before so when we went today we were looking forward to a nice lunch.
The food was great but the young thin man who was working on the floor when we arrived was quite rude. He was off hand, had been unpleasant to my friend who was waiting for us to arrive and when she said she had a booking he said the table was no longer available and then when we nicely asked if we could move away from the door because it was cold, he was dismissive and arrogant in his manner. The only time he smiled was when we left.
We really like coming to your restaurant but please do something about this unfriendly arrogant man. The other staff were all lovely.

My partner and I love having brunch here on a Saturday morning. The food is always amazing, fresh and perfectly prepared. I have always found the staff to be super helpful - until yesterday when we were spoken to rudely (for not lining up to order in the way the waiter felt was "ok" - I was standing off to the side instead of directly behind the person in front because there was a table in the way) - then when we returned to our table, our water and glasses had been removed and then, after spending $24.80 on my meal alone, I was told off for ordering the kids serve of bacon, egg and toast (which is only $8.50 but then I add on the sides of mushroom, tomato and goats cheese which adds an additional approx $12 to the cost of the order, plus coffee). I have always ordered this because I don't want 2 pieces of toast, 2 eggs and half a truck load of bacon... the way this particular waiter treated and spoke to us has taken the shine off the experience of going to what has otherwise been a fabulous place to chill out on a lazy Saturday morning...

Food is always delicious and the coffee is consistently good. Interesting selection of Providore items and fruit and veggies are exemplary. Have sampled many items from the menu which are always very tasty, well cooked and interesting combinations. Highly recommend.

Have been wanting to go here for ages! It was very busy when I arrived at about 10:30am, was lucky to get a seat inside. There is ample seating outside also, and if you have a pram, you're probably better off outside, there isn't a lot of room inside for a pram and to eat/have coffee. I Ordered coffee and bacon and poached eggs. It came out quickly and was very nice, and at $18.80 I thought it was good value. The staff were friendly too! Purchased my fruit and veggies after, it's a great little green grocer and deli. I'll definitely be back

My husband and I were up from Melbourne and stopped in for lunch and coffee. We ordered the chicken pesto focaccia at $9.50 and the pancakes at $11.00. Unless you are a cashed up toddler you will definitely be leaving hungry (We actually asked if we were served kids meals!!!) Three tiny pancakes (At which point does a pikelet become a pancake???) and a focaccia that looked like a kids toastie with the crusts cut off, were definitely not worth the hefty price tag. However, we could not fault the quality of the coffee, which was first class, so next time we will stop for the coffee only.
