Review Frocreations - Bendigo

Kerbray
Lovely fountain in the heart of the city. Quite a busy intersection area, but there are lots of traffic lights and connecting pathways. There's a small memorial behind the fountain and it's very close to some of the main parks for visiting when passing through.

Important landmark of Ooty, Nilgiris. Main signal to go to the Garden, Charing cross, ATC and Boat house. Always crowded signals. People are walking here and there. All the shopping complexes are here. Easily accessible area for tourists and tourism. Nice fountain design and declaration are also good.

Officially opened on 5 July 1871 by (then) Prince Albert and (then) Prince George, Alexandra Fountain is a fitting welcome to this Golden City. It’s architect William Vahland is responsible for a great many of Bendigo’s beautiful buildings.

Alexandra Fountain is the largest decorated fountain in Victoria, complete with spectacular Merhorses and other ornate sculptures. It is a beautiful sight with the water cascading down from its 8 metre height. Definitely worth a visit.

You must visit the fountain. Travel up to Bendigo and check this amazing fountain out. See it during the day and then come back to her at night when she is all lit up. If you pop up to the Bendigo art gallery they have a giant photograph of the fountain square from goldfish days. If you shut your eyes down at the fountain you can still see the echo of horses and coaches going around the fountain.

I love this spot I take my kids here and when the family is up from Melbourne we all head here too. Beautiful gardens and scenery, history surrounds you with the poppet head to climb, the fernery full of fruit bats, the botanical gardens and conservatory from way back in the 1800s, ulumbra theatre that was Bendigo's old gaol, court house, Chinese gardens etc the list just goes on! Great place for taking photo's, having a picnic or just hanging out kicking a ball around. Check it out you won't be dissapointed! (:
