The food here is fantastic.
The chips are fresh, with extra chicken salt (as requested), the burgers are fresh and nicely made and very big.
The owner/lady is very friendly and talks to every customer with respect and in a welcoming manner.
The waiting area is also very tidy and clean, with a TV, so you won't get bored while waiting for your food.
There is a generous size car park outside, for convenience.
I certainly recommend this place for either lunch or dinner.

Got chips last time and was great,
Today got chips and battered sausages, not good at all.
3 stars are really just for today, because usually all food is great. Bit disappointed but, will still go there..

Worth heading out on a chilly Saturday night for a fantastic dinner.
Hamburger,, souvlaki, chips were great...... the chocolate milkshake was the best I have had in years!!!! An absolute must for your dinner order!!

Batter on fish not nice ,needs to be lighter crispier
Oil needed changing in fryer therefore fish tasted like burnt oil Chips were ok Chicken snitzel burger was good ,potato fritters were average ..$74 + not good value .
Girls were very nice and tried very hard ...I think if the Batter and Oil issues were addressed the food would be good ..

The southern fried chicken is really delicious and I am sure that the rest of the cuisine would be just as good. Friendly and helpful staff make it a worthwhile visit when you are hungry.

Love the service with a smile that Julie and the team bring along whenever I go there for some fish and chips. The milkshakes are great and really take you back to a simpler time.

Retreat Road Takeaway serves the most delicious large portions of flakey battered butter fish n' thick crispy chips, (don't forget the chicken salt!) Julie is so welcoming, the entire staff are - offering a very friendly customer service which is just the way it should be. 👌😁

The staff are friendly and the range of food they sell is impressive, they sell Rosie's chicken which is delicious, more so than KFC in my opinion, they even let you choose the exact piece of chicken you want from the window if you like. They sell real coffee and have a range of salads to choose from too. The bread they use for their rolls and hamburgers is from the bakery next door not a mass producer. Excellent!
