Review Golden Brew Cafe - Bendigo

Cute little place. Good food, very basic but tasty. Maybe a little pricey for what you get. The service was absolutely delightful and the paintings on the walls beautiful. A great idea. Parking out the back is a great convenience and the little courtyard gets wonderful sunlight.

Nice fruit slushies. Avocado on toast was ok an could have been smaller instead of sliced.

Firstly: We were greeted by friendly staff. Service was excellent. Unfortunately the cappucinos had too much water in it so was rather unpleasant to drink. We both had pancakes which were presented beautifully on the plate. The pancakes themselves did not have a very nice taste & were undercooked.

We are not happy today with the golden brew cafe, in the last 6 weeks the cafe has been beautiful with the new chef and excellent coffee girl I found out today the chef was about to own the cafe until the older lady/owner of the cafe stopped the sale right before he was to buy it! the poor family involved! he made such a difference to the cafe, unique food! and today it was back to it's bad vibe I will never be returning to this cafe in the future! and I wish the chef that also lost his job and his almost business all the best in the future you will do amazing things!

Not bad for breakfast. Didn't seem to get very busy. Had eggs benedict which was really nice except for undercooked bacon. A little more attention to detail and they will be on the money. Coffee was good but not quiet up to tge standard of other cafes in town.

I was the chef there, and I helped the owners, but never again will I come back. There is nice owners and workers at alot of cafe in bendigo and the golden brew has lost alot using food from Woolworths and the milk from Woolworths and there home meals frozen and alot from Woolworths and I have even watched them dropped food and put them back on the plate cafe and home meals. Goodluck for the owners and the workers but u are deffinitly not nice people, not chefs, not barista's and worse when you are about to sell the cafe to someone you shouldn't of lied the day before its sold to beautiful family.
