Nice place to go for a meal. Lunch special is good for value. I usually couldn’t finish them all as the volume is huge. Very friendly and helpful staff there. Always feeling welcomed.

Ordered only one dish. Pan fried dumplings. The filling was good but the dumpling itself was burnt. Seemed like it was kept for reheating and the chef forgot to take them off in time.

I really don’t mind the food here. Usually get the lunch special in takeaway but there is plenty of seating to sit down and enjoy your meal in house.

Good tasting food and lovely staff. The best thing about here is once you have been a few times they understand what you like and make your dish that way. For example, if you like it spicy they know that and will put extra chillies in for you.

Food looks nice and fresh! Tastes good as well

They do a great sesame prawn toast here. If you want to sit down and eat it is never really that busy. Service is ok although sometimes you can be waiting at the entrance for a while before someone comes out from behind the kitchen.

The food was awful. There was no yum cha as advertised, just a menu with half of the items unavailable. The service was non existent. We couldn’t get plates, or even soy sauce. The dumplings were worse than homebrand frozen ones and they were microwaved not steamed. Absolutely shocking food and service

Great food! My favorite Chinese dish is the best here! Unlike other reviews, I find customer service to be great as well. I eat in or take away! I highly recommend it! 👌👌👌

Despite having a sticker on their window displayed, saying they except a certain payment app method, this was not the case. They claimed the app developer discontinued their service. However their shop was still listed in the app. The lady pretended to peel off the sticker as we left but when we got in the car the sticker we still there and she was gone. A customer who had been waiting beckoned us and told us she had been waiting for nearly two hours, which raised alarm bells.

Now that the owners are back, this restaurant is good. I had dumplings, har gau, noodles with duck. Nice food and service. The place is clean and welcoming. Very reasonable BYO charge. I can certainly recommend it and I will be back.

Lovely people but the food was absolutely terrible. The dumplings were all mushy and the sticks were very old. I definitely won’t be eating back here :(

I used to order the fried rice and chicken ribs but the rice was too soggy and not much taste.
Then I switched to just ordering the chicken ribs.
Quantity was good at the start but slowly is getting worse each week.
Now I just ordered it and it’s terrible, mostly batter on them and I think these were double fried as it has an insane amount of batter on it.
Do yourself a favour and stay away, better off getting a sandwich from 7-11

Visited today for the first time, a Friday at 12.45 lunch time and it was only my wife and myself.
Place sits approx 30 and there were a total of 6 of us through our Yum Cha lunch sitting. Yum Cha here is put your order down upfront by completing an order sheet and the food arrives as it becomes ready no particular order. No Yum Cha trolleys going around for you to inspect and only order if you like what you see.
The food prices were reasonable for Yum Cha but sad to say the quality was average. We ordered a selection of steamed dumplings, bbq pork buns, and a serve of curry puffs.
I have had much better luck buying frozen bbq pork buns steaming them at home - what we were served was dry and felt under steamed because the outside of the bun was hard and dry like cardboard - we returned that dish(struck off bill). The prawn steamed dumplings were what you would expect but the pork dumplings had been overcooked/steamed to the point they disintegrated when you tried to pick them up with chop sticks or a fork.
English was a challenge for the waiting staff. There are simply other places near Oakleigh that do a better job overall for similar $ amounts.

We were having a craving for beef and black bean sauce and honey chicken with fried rice and my goodness our craving was fulfilled! I was highly impressed with the portions for takeaway, there was plenty left over and I'm even planning on going back tonight. Highly recommend.

Wow what an awesome meal we just had! It was the first time we have had take away from here and it sure as hell wont be the last! We had beef in black bean sauce along with honey chicken and special fried rice the beef and chicken just melted in your mouth it was so tender. Extremely fresh food. If I was going to have a negative comment it would be that it was slightly more expensive than other Chinese take away that we have had...It was worth it though!
I wanted to lick my plate clean it was such a good meal...

A hidden gem. I was pleased with the service and the food.
Fresh, flavoursome and great sized servings.
To take my rating to a perfect score I'd ask for thinner and lighter batter on the chicken, and some more sauce on the Peking duck (even some on the side), otherwise it was lovely.
Pleasently surprised. We decided to give this place a try having walked past it many times on the way to supermarket and other shops in Links. Had a really lovely banquet for two people for $20, extremely good value, the food was fresh and light and really delicious. Would definitely go back and would happily recommend.

I got some take away after gym, and thought it was satisfying. No other customers where in there, but they took down my order and got everything ready in less than 10 mins. They really filled the box up full which was good to see, and the beef that was in the take away box was really soft.
Although I didn't go for dine in, I have heard they are very good for it and will find the time to go back for a proper dine in experience :)

So Disappointing. Upon arriving at this place for my mother in-laws 77th birthday we were greatly disappointed with what we received, not only did the waitress seem clearly uncomfortable with the amount of people at our table, she had to move half of us onto another table which happened to become the kids table, after the painful process of figuring out if the kids were served already we waited for our meals; when my husband and I inquired about the toilets we were shocked to find out that we had to go to the shopping centre next door, leaving my seat i head towards the door to go to the toilet when a waitress rudely pushes me and doesn't even apologise, the same thing happened later to my sister in-law. After our food arrived which was at different times we had to ask for soy-sauce, they gladly gave us some although it was a minuscule amout of roughly two teaspoons; It may of been the weather some would say, and i would disagree, the temprature in this so called 'restaurant' was roughly thirty degrees, which was the same outside, the least they could do would be to put on an aircon or fan. The best experience of this restaurant was walking out, this is not a restaurant, this is a take-away shop with the option of eating at a table. In saying all of this the food is nice, but I would not recommend using this place for any family functions, as the staff are not trained nor equipped to handle these situations.

My new favourite Chinese restaurant. After reading the reviews we decided to give this restaurant a go. Service was great, food was delicious. Very generous serves. Everything tasted so fresh. Can't wait to go again. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem.

These guys should be busier.. Bumped into this local chinese restaurant by accident, decided to sit down and try it out.
Servings are excellent, food is actually quite authentic in comparison to the usual chinese places.
Peking Duck is fantastic here, definitely worth a stop.

Unfortunately my lemon chicken was missing an important ingredient.....some lemon flavor.

Standard fare. After having a decent take away meal of crispy pork and a duck fried rice we decided to go back and take the family for a meal inside. We ordered the banquet for 3 of us and a main of crispy pork for the 'i don't do banquets' member.
Firstly the crispy pork came out before we even had the entrees and spilled onto the table. eventually they decided to replace it. trouble was that it came straight back out once again before the entrees and this time it was barely warm.
Now for the other part of the meal, the entrees were ok, the crispy honey chicken, sweet and sour pork and black bean beef was good but i think we will wait before returning, which is a shame because it showed some promise.

Incredible banquet deal. What is it about great casual Chinese restaurants located in dreadful shopping centres? Eastern Pearl only opened months ago and mostly caters for take away despite a fairly large dining room. We chanced on a Saturday night meal there and got the most amazing banquet “B” deal @ $20pp.
We got for that (ordered by 3 of us):
- large spring rolls (2), grilled dumplings (2) and tempura prawns (2), all very acceptable (more choices available)
- a thick jelly like chicken corn soup, delicious and very filling (another vegie/tofu soup available)
- 2 Peking duck wraps each, absolutely beautiful and generous with the duck meat
- the mains: lemon chicken, honey & sesame chicken and sweet & sour pork (more mains available). So big, so fresh, so good!! The kids could barely touch the food by then they were so full, yet had to have it it was so good.
- dessert: large fried ice cream (layered with berry jam) and banana fritter. Again fresh and more than acceptable, bananas maybe a bit too crispy.

Clearly the Peking duck, the mains and the desserts were freshly made. The batter had the delicious lightness and crispiness that gets otherwise destroyed by the bain-marie.
All of this was served with the most charming smiles. Brilliant, exactly what casual dinner should be.
