Absolutely outstanding food and service! As soon as you walk through the door at Mexico City in Bentleigh you are treated like family. The owners are pretty much always there and even the junior staff are friendly, outgoing and attentive. The food was incredible. Taco's, Burritos and the Chimichanga (deep fried burrito) were outstanding. Perfectly cooked and so much flavour! The Prawn Paella was also a fave and the Prawns were cooked to perfection. Will be going back!

The food was fine, but it was not guacamole at all, you can't call guacamole a smashed Avocado without even salt. I loved the black beans and I wanted to try hard shell tacos but the girl said that they run out of hard shells....it means they are from the supermarket or somewhere, not made at the restaurant, a bit disappointed.

Mexico City in Bentleigh is a ok Mexican Restaurant, however, there is definitely a lot of room for improvement, especially with so many good Mexican Restaurants around, I wouldn't say that Mexico City serves authentic Mexican food, but rather a Aussie take on it, unfortunately the Tortillas are just bought ones as well as the salsa and condiments, unfortunately there were no hard shell Tacos available as well.. I feel like if they made their own shells they wouldn't run out 🌮🤷‍♂️🌮 the prices are very reasonable and the staff are lovely but I can't say that I'd Recommend Mexico City Taco unfortunately.

I've ordered Mexico City for take away a few times, and loved the flavours from the ingredients... however the wraps were always a let down! So I went to eat in and eat fresh, and the food was great! Quality control for take away is always a challenge, so my review isn't based on that! Unfortunately, this was just a bad experience eating in.. due to one waitress (and potentially the actions of the kitchen), but management and the other waitresses are always welcoming and bubbly whenever I have come in for take-away in the past. Still going to be a returning customer no doubt. In this situation, there was a mix-up with my order and one dish was given to another table. When the other dishes came out for the customers c. 5 minutes later, they told the waitress that they didn't order the dish. The waitress took it back to the kitchen to check, and brought it out to my table. As a result, I was served a dish that had been sitting at another customers table for 5 minutes, which was conversed over. Typically not an issue, but it was sitting there for a while, flu season is upon us and mainly... the purpose of eating in was to eat it fresh! When I raised this with the waitress, she said they didn't touch it. When she then offered to have it remade, it came back within 30 seconds. It's not a 30 second dish to prepare and I could see that it was only re-plated as the flag was removed and its hole was still there. After speaking with the manager, the dish was then remade!

Alas economic rationalism has come to Mexico City!! I've been a fan of this place for 3 years & can't complain about the service or flavour BUT tonight I find the Nachos, previously very generous & the reason for me returning regularly, has been downsized by at least 30%. While I understand everything is going up, I would much rather keep the same size & pay more, than pay the same & receive a much smaller portion. Sadly I won't be returning. DEFINITELY downsized portion.. Neither of us imagined the shrinkage.

love the interior and vibes of this restaurant! staff and service was also absolutely amazing, super fast and attentive, we ordered the beef burrito, prawn tacos, beef and chicken tacos, potato chips, beef quesadilla and beef fajita along with some drinks. the food came out super quickly and the portions were quite large. we really enjoyed everything we ordered and definitely will be coming back !

We had a table for 2 booked events had us there 30 minutes early we were happy to sit a the bar but we're instead seated out in the back room with flourescent lights no windows or other people and right next to the toilets. So far from a romantic night out, needless to say we left and will never go back, nor will we recommend it again as we often had previously.

We were told it was wheelchair accessible and upon arrival they said they it was not. Then didn’t admit to saying it over the phone when I had call history and evidence. Never eating here again. The worse part was it was my birthday and my dad who has had a stroke was sitting outside waiting.

Came in for dinner on 13 January 2020 we ordered a non-alcoholic mojito, a Tommys margarita, the fish tacos and the prawn paella.<br/>Firstly for the non-alcoholic mojito we were charged $16 which was the same price as the alcoholic mojito; I was quite disappointed in this because I didn’t see this until I looked at my receipt today. The non alcoholic mojito was very refreshing and sweet. The Tommys margarita was very sour and hit my taste buds in the right spots, I love a nice sour lemon drink. The fish tacos were absolutely amazing, I highly recommend them. This was shortly followed by the prawn paella; which was out of this world. If you guys love Mexican I highly recommend this place. They only lost a point for Mexico city was because I was charged for a alcoholic beverage when I ordered a mocktail. In most places they only charge $10. Honestly is a hidden little gem in Bentleigh.

Food was yummy but we had no way of knowing that they don’t accept split bills. No indication was on the door, bar or bill. We had to split or we couldn’t pay the full amount. The staff member was completely lacking in understanding. We were the only customers in the restaurant at the time. Disgraceful ending to what should’ve been a lovely night.

Really lovely restaurant with a nice vibe! The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavour. The portion sizes were a bit small for what you pay for. The fishbowl and jugs of frozen margaritas are good value for money. The salsa was nice and spiced and added a good kick to the dishes. The chimichanga was crunchy and a highlight dish. The wedges were delicious and had lots of sauce on top! The food took a while to come out and one dish wasn’t out through even though we double checked the order. Overall a lovely meal with flavoursome dishes.

We came here for an office Christmas party. I ordered the Mexico on a plate which had a little bit of everything to taste. The food was yummy, well-balanced and a generous portion. The staff were friendly and patient.

The beef fajitas were nice, was a little bit too pricey cost $90 for two people which was surprising. The staff that was getting trained was very nice.

Mexico City does that thing where you think the food doesn't look all that impressive when it arrives at your table, but then you start eating and you realise it's great. The Dear Luncher managed some nachos and a naked burrito. The pulled beef on both of these items was tremendous. A really cosy spot for a late night feed in Bentleigh.

The food was fine but the service wasnt. Took like 15 mins to get menu than another 15 mins to get served. The drinks were lackluster. The waitresses were nice. Overall it was ok once is enough.

Had the most delicious food ever! Also went through three wait staff and each one was so so lovely. There was slight confusion with the booking (even though it made no difference to us) so they ended up giving us complimentary chocolate nacho desert... was sooo tasty. Overall just unreal service and great food.

For the amount we paid I expected a lot more. The takeaway nachos comes smothered in just cheese, so by the time you get home and eat it, it’s very hard to break. We got the chicken, lamb and beef paella and tbh it didn’t taste like a traditional Mexican dish. The meat was cooked nicely but I wasn’t a fan of the sauce/flavour. Also doesn’t say on the menu that it contains coriander.

My favourite Mexican and the fact that it’s local makes it even better !!!<br/>Their food is full of flavour, their tacos are my fave along with their margaritas and best of all they offer non alcoholic margaritas too so the kids get to enjoy<br/>Make sure you ring ahead and book as they are always packed !!

One of the greatest restaurant in Melbourne. Place might be small but the food is big in flavour and size! Nachos sauce is so good and cheesy. Tacos are great snack size and very tasty. Quesadillas are not in a shape that we had in mind but still great and beef is soft too.<br/>

Came here for dinner one night with some friends, it was fairly busy but they managed to squeeze the four of us in (they said another reservation hadn't shown up). Food was alright and service was friendly, staff were happy to help us with any explanations and even accommodated us when we asked for a michelada, which wasn't listed on the menu. Would return to try other menu items.

Excellent service on a crowded Friday night so make sure you pre-book. I had a beautiful prawn salad that was cooked just nice. Others had chimichangas, fajitas and tacos and said they were nice. Will return to try other dishes on menu. So wonderful to have a Mexican diner in the ‘urbs.

Though there is higher caliber Mexican food around at the same cost point, this is more on the side of comforting and a bit naughty which is a-okay with me. Staff were really friendly and the layout was cozy but vibrant. Had a great experience spending my anniversary here and will definitely be back for more.

Cheap, cheerful and generous. I love the slightly cheesy decor and surrounds of the restaurant and when they have a live band playing it really gets you in the mood for more margheritas!<br/><br/>There’s some great options for whatever kind of Mexican you feel like- nachos, tacos, burritos or quesadillas; and it’s easy location in the south-east means it’s any night of the week kind of restaurant

Been here a few times. Food is always delicious. Servings are generous and I always over order. Very child friendly. Always busy so book a table.

I rated this location much better than Elsternwick. The service was efficient and the atmosphere was huge for a Thursday night! All of the meals are big servings and solid comfort food.

It’s a rock solid 4 for me. Radio City does Mexican better than most places I’ve tried in Melbourne. Our party of five had a rollicking good time here last night. <br/><br/>The restaurant is attractive from the street and inside. The interior is nicely laid out and includes numerous fun signs and pictures throughout including one featuring the current US President. <br/><br/>We first ordered the classic Marguerita which we all adored. An admirable example of the style and very enjoyable. Our entree was crispy shelled chicken tacos. Exactly as promised, it was a tasty taco. Next we had the quesadilla trio with beans, chicken and pulled beef. This was really delicious and flavoursome together with good rice and salad. A good share dish because it is a decent sized serve. It was very well cooked and presented. Our star dish of the night though was the prawn fajita salad. This is a cracking dish. Again, full of flavour and very generous with the prawns which were tasty fat juicy ones that sent our table into ecstasy. The prawns had been cooked very skillfully. Great caramelisation and still beautifully tender. The salad was lovely as well. Good ingredients and a nice dressing. Not sure about the authenticity but I don’t give a fig. It was delicious!<br/><br/>The rest of the table reported immense satisfaction with their dishes. There was a beef fajitas that looked great and especially enticing. We were offered some complimentary shots of a sweet tequila - Damiana - which was most gorgeous. We also scored an amazing taco and ice cream dessert to finish which was also delicious. I’ve never quite had anything like it but we all agreed it was a great sharing dessert.<br/><br/>Bouquets for all the servers here. They were very amiable, attentive and efficient and took care of us really well as did the manager who is a lovely guy. We thought the per head price was very good particularly given we had, um, a fair few drinks per head. <br/><br/>I only have one criticism and it’s a very small one. There seemed to be a bit of an issue coordinating the service of drinks and meals to our table. Several times three things came out and we waited up to five minutes til the remaining two emerged. I’d call this mildly irritating, particularly when everyone is itching to clink their glasses or start their meals.<br/><br/>To conclude, this was a terrifically enjoyable night. My expectations were well exceeded. As I said above, I’ve never thought we do Mexican that well in Melbourne. The only place that stands out as good for me is Mamasita which is modern Mexican and starting to get up there price wise. Maybe people could make some recommendations about Mexican places they think are good because I seem to have missed them.<br/><br/>Mexico City really delivered. Really nice atmosphere, food and service here. We had a great time. It’s a beauty.

We headed to Mexico City last night with friends who live locally and visit regularly. I was impressed with the atmosphere, the place was buzzing and had a lively interior not to mention some pretty lethal frozen margaritas at very reasonable prices. Food wise however I found everything quite spicy for my palette.<br/>The chicken nachos had a bit of a kick as did the chicken taco. I also ordered the beef flautas and found these more enjoyable as they were more mild. We also had the burrito plate as well as the sizzling fajitas. Perhaps it was the way it was hyped up but I prefer the food at Fonda hands down although I loved the little touch of presenting the bill with lollies

Took a group of friends here as it was central for everyone. I saw that it had high ratings so I thought it would be pretty safe... But I found it underwhelming. With good Mexican, well I guess any cuisine, the flavours dance in your mouth and make you salivate, but I could cook better Mexican at home... Your typical local Tex Mex. It wasn't BAD, but it also wasn't GREAT. Everything tasted the same, then again I have very high expectations. That aside, their staff were super friendly and polite.

Great service, always with a smile. Consistently good food and cocktails. Our kids love the treat at the end of the meal. This is our go to Mexican restaurant.

Best Mexican ever. I’ve been here a few times and have always loved the food. Amazing quality and fresh ingredients. The Beef Chimichanga is my go to. The Wed- chos are amazing also. They also have a full bar and do lovely frozen Margaritas, perfect for Summer. Improvement that could be made- please hire more staff on busy nights! The staff are very friendly however it’s a nightmare to try track someone down to order. Both times have been a very long wait for someone to notice us and we’ve had to walk to the counter to order. Apart from the lack of staff this place is my favourite restaurant in Bentleigh!! Highly recommend.

Made a booking for 2 with the very rude and unwelcoming 'manager'. Only seats left where the bar which is fine for us! Arrived and they'd given our seats away. Were instead seated in the back room despite half the restaurant being empty. Decided to leave as the food is not quite worth eating in a lacklustre room that reminded me of my grandmas garage. Won't be returning. Take the 10 minute drive further to Radio Mexico!

I don’t think I’ve tasted better Mexican in Melbourne so far. Food is fresh,tasty and consistent. My favourite being their Paella and Chimichanga.The staff is knowledgeable and super friendly. Overall, an amazing experience always. Would highly recommend everyone.

Quite bland food considering it’s price mark! Always extremely busy and overcrowded (not sure why) so make sure you book in advance for a table. Also serving portions aren’t worth the money either. Go to taco bill, cheaper and the food!

I could not speak more highly of this place! I was happy as soon as I stepped foot in the door- cool decor (love the Frida portrait!), busy/cheerful vibe that makes me think of Mexico and amazing, friendly and helpful wait staff. I ordered a Midori Splice frozen Cocktail, nachos and the Mexican plate. The food is fresh, authentic, home made , quality cuisine. This restaurant catered very well to vegetarians and have a range of meals at different price points so everyone feels welcome there. I was there for my 23 birthday with my family and we all had a lovely night! I will definitely be coming back again!

This place was absolutely buzzing when I came here on a Wednesday night. No special deals or anything on a Wednesday, just jam packed! Nachos were great (missed the pic as we just go stuck in). I really enjoy my beef taco as well. The chicken burrito was a little different, instead of being pieces it pulled chicken. The side salad and the rice were also a little plain but overall still a good experience.

Mexico City is so popular, always make a reservation unless you don't mind bar or outdoor sitting. We started with the wed-chos (wedges+nachos) for variety. It was a crowd pleaser. The sizzling beef & chicken Fajita hot plate & lamb paella were nice, though the negra beans wasn't too popular. Still prefers the Spanish's paella 🥘

In a cold and rainy night in Melbourne, my family and I were craving a fix if nachos and all things cheesy and guacamole without the effort of course! Instead of going to our usual Mexican place we decided to go to Mexico City in Bentleigh. We satisfied our nacho, enchilada, taco and the obligatory frozen margaritas cravings. Although, our paella was different to what we usually have it was a nice dish. The staff are amazing and the only thing I would criticise would be the volume of the music but then again I'm getting old! Best nachos by far....you must try it.... crunchy corn chips, a great salsa and generous amount of cheese layered well between the corn chips and fresh guacamole and sour cream. Heaven on a plate.

Mexico City is an inflated taco bill. Nothing special here, and they're asking for too much for some of the meals which are bulked up with mostly beans and rice. Soft tacos were the best part but every menu item is essentially the same basic ingredients with a slight change in the way it's prepared. If it were half the price, no problem, but as it is it's a scam. Don't bother.

Wow what a disappointment ! <br/>Myself and two friends ate here last week and all I can say is I won't be returning. <br/>40 minute wait for a burnt nacho entre that we sent back, and another 40 minute wait for yet another disappointment. The "back room" in the restaurant, was obviously an idea to cram in more customers but it is uninviting, cold and claustrophobic. The waitress was very good, however the food which wasserved out is terrible. Sounds like the kitchen needs a shake up, if you can't make a simple dish like nachos there's a serious problem. 1/10 ( 1 is for the waitress). Don't waste your time with this one.

What a shame. I chose to go here based on all of the good reviews however I was beyond disappointed. We sat in the back room which was very tight, uninviting and freezing! We ordered nachos and had to wait over 40 mins for them meanwhile we were watching other people get their food. Once the nachos finally came the cheese was way over cooked and rock hard. After this we had to continue to wait for our mains which arrived 30 mins later. So for over an hour that we were waiting we had received no food at all. The service was fantastic, the waitress ( wish i knew her name) was very apologetic and helpful by providing us with blankets and excellent customer service. The food was very average, so as much as we had good customer service from our waitress we all agreed that we will not be returning. Go to taco bills down the road, a lot better experience and food.

We've been here a couple of times now and are always impressed with the friendly and fast service. The food comes out quickly, but you're never pressured to move on out. We've always enjoyed our tasty Mexican meals. Easy to recommend for a mid-week easy dinner out.

Me and my husband went to the place this sunday.<br/>We didnt had the booking but still the most frieny staff welcome us and make us feel comfortable.<br/>I am a vegetarian so its always hard to get something fancy rather than veggies lol..<br/>But in mexico city i had d best nachos and mexican vegetarian platter ...which had so many difent flavours nd textures for my palate....i just loved it...<br/>My plate was clear in 10min 😅 nd then my frst take on churros...they were yummmm....nt tooo sweet bt perfect d way i like my sweets...<br/><br/>I would recommend this place for its ambience friendly staff and best mexican food....what else do i need ❤

Fantastic service, great ambience and the food is awesome and light for Mexican food, not to cheesy like other places. My whole family thoroughly enjoyed this place, we will be back for sure!!

Have been to Mexico City quite a few times now and every time the food has been delicious.Lots of flavours and some great healthy options like the black beans and the fajita salad. Lamb beautifully cooked for my salad.Very generous portions and lovely staff. Highly recommended !

After making a booking a week in advance it was surprising when we walked in and they scrambled to find us a table.<br/>After being squashed into our seats we ordered frozen margaritas. These were the best part of the night.<br/>It was so loud and echoey we could hardly hear each other speak. Although the food tasted good my husband was ill all night with an msg allergy. Clearly something he ate at dinner.<br/>Disappointing. Will not be returning.

Great food, fantastic service and an absolutely great vibe. This little place is fast becoming a major attraction in good ol' Bentliegh as they have the right combination of everything going on. The menu is simple as are the flavours, and everything tastes so fresh. And I just can't get enough of that salsa!!!

Been here about 3 times now and it hasn't disappointed. Food is genuine, authentic and high quality. They're not trying to do anything fancy with the food, just keeping it simple with the typical Mexican flavours. Sangria is very good as well. Top marks!

Love this place. Went for our wedding anniversary. Great atmosphere. Staff are awesome! Shared an entree nachos - v generous portion. Main - pulled beef chimichanga & lamb fajitas - ordered due to waitress recommendation = delicious!! Fresh ingredients. Cocktails amazing! Would highly recommend.

Thought we'd have a quick early dinner Friday night after a long week of work so we could crash at home early. Walked in to empty restaurant at 6. Rudely told all tables booked and could only sit outside. Placed between two families with screaming babies while inside remained empty. Food was ok. Just like every other Mexican restaurant. Fajitas didn't have a lot of flavour but ok. Left at 6:30. Restaurant still empty. Shame they were so rude. It was not necessary.

Who would have thought the Mexican capital of Melbourne is in leafy Bentleigh? Amazing Mexican every time we visit. Make sure you book in advance, especially if you're coming on a Friday or Saturday night.

Fabulous food but not just the food it is so nice to have great friendly staff. We have had many nights there and always to great standards. Very close to Bentleigh station which is a bonus if you want a few drinks and don't want to drive luv the place.

Best Tex-Mex cuisine in Melbourne! Intoxicate your senses with refreshing potions and fulfill your comfort food fantasies with fresh ingredients and tingling flavors! The venue is cozy, the decor is relevant and the ambiance comes to live after dark. Service is efficient and friendly. <br/><br/>On our first visit we sampled the enchilada combinations which accompany tacos, beans, rice and flautas and are made with your choice of filling. My favorite filling was the pulled beef- slow cooked, soft with perfect seasoning. The rice is cooked al-dente with each grain cleanly separated, the melted cheese, salsa and sauces bind the dishes perfectly. <br/><br/>A delicious experience that really hits the spot!

I can't decide what to rave on about here first. The atmosphere is bustling and draws you in to a warm and rustic experience. The food is unbelievable, full of flavor and brilliantly presented by a staff who treat you like you are family. We always make this our restaurant of choice when we take out friends.

AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! Highly recommended for a fun or even a intimate night out. The food was full of flavour, had pleasant textures as well as a perfect serving size. I often come here with my boyfriend, a group of mates and also my family. The staff are very welcoming and friendly providing a good atmosphere. Definitely worth the travel!

Mexican Cuisine is my comfort food and Mexico City hits the satisfaction mark perfectly. The staff..amazing, attentive, friendly,  and they hustle. The place is always booked because of the excellent food served, along with great drinks such as Negro Modelo and Pacifico. I've been coming here since they opened and have never been disappointed, bringing all my friends and family too.

We really enjoyed it here the food ,the service everything ! It's a small gem that serves tasty dishes. Standout dishes were the Beef chimichangas and fish tacos.There is a nice brief cocktail list with good quality offerings. This place beats other Mexicans in the area. Kids friendly too. What a great find 👍🏾 Highly recommended!

From the moment I picked up the phone to the moment I walked out this place was completely faultless! Great service all night and staff were very attentive. Service was fast and every dish that came out delivered in flavour and presentation! I loved the salsas and the perfect amount of chilli in every dish! Sangria was so alcoholic and the food was so generious! The paella had more meat then rice which is not common! Highly recommend! Place looks great inside but only if it wasn't so crammed... Hope they up grade the space because if people catch on as to how great the food is you will need more space!

Favourite place in melbourne. The margaritas are amazing. The food is amazing. The staff are always helpful and friendly and there is such a good vibe. Will always come back!

Great friendly service. Food was good but not as great as the service. The beef meat in the beef paella we had, was really tough and dry. Tacos were good, but only had basic / traditional flavours and fillings... There were none of the exciting Mexican flavours you hear about these days ( like coriander lime dressings, fish taco etc..) And the churros we had were overfried . It's probably a good place for basic Mexican fare, but not if you're looking for Mexican that's a little more gourmet.

We walked in on a Friday night and unfortunately didn't have a booking. Luckily the staff set us up in the private room out the back for one hour before a bit party would be arriving. They even gave us blankets to help stay warm. The staff were all incredible and so friendly! The free corn chips and salsa at the start was greatly appreciated. The food we ordered came quickly. The Mexican food here is quite homely and generous in portion (for relatively low price points). Everything was nice, especially the prawn fajita salad. The flavours lacked elements of acidity and heat, which I like in my Mexican, and perhaps some textural contrast as everything seemed to be soft and soggy (even the tostado), but they were on the whole familiar and comforting. Overall you can't go passed the excellent staff and laid-back (and cheap) Mexican food.<br/><br/>UPDATE 3/10/2016: Returned and the staff remembered us. They were once again just incredible, so friendly and cheerful. Our group loved the food and had such a great time thanks to the staff. The churros here are so delicious!

Just popped in and managed to have the yummiest meal.Best Mexican food I have had in Melbourne. Especially the shredded beef in the Chimichanga. Yummmm !!! Top notch service. Just be prepared to wait for a table if you haven't booked. We will be back, for sure, but next time we will book! :)<br/>Highly Recommend ! Winner !!

The rave reviews on this place surprise me. I thought it was a bit 'meh' myself. Would consider the food a bland version of Tex mex (similar to Taco Bill) rather than authentic Mexican flavours. Service was fine, went at a busy time so felt a bit rushed but nothing I would complain about. I just think the place was nothing to write home about. There are much better options around town these days.

Amazing smallish place with great ambience.<br/>Service is quite fast (both food and drinks). All the food was served piping hot within minutes of ordering and was all full of flavor. <br/>We ordered some top shelf Tequila and the staff explained the history behind the particular brand/type and were very informative.<br/>Two very friendly staff were managing the entire front of house beautifully with no customers going in and out of the doors without a 'hi' and 'thank you'<br/><br/>Will definitely be back.

We grabbed an early dinner on Saturday night and we are lucky to grab a table( I would recommend booking in advance) this place is amazing. 10/10 chimichanga. Food is tasty and cooked perfectly. Staff is very friendly. Good collections of beer and cocktails. Try dessert nachos and flautas. Highly recommended.

Was craving Mexican food so I started researching! I cannot fault this place. Service is excellent, food is fresh and tasty. Price is reasonable for the portion. Atmosphere is good. Non pretentious food. Glad I found this place and would be happy to come again

Good food. Great service. Occasionally forget the basics like water and napkins but the food is incredible and the staff very friendly! The beef chimichanga is my favourite.

This place has always been packed since first opening its doors and is never going to disappoint xx <br/><br/>The staff are friendly and professional, remembering you from previous visits, the menu is small but it boasts huge flavour and for the portion size vs price you can't go wrong . The cocktails are well priced with something for everyone. <br/>We have been a few times recently and are never disappointed. <br/>I am In love with there 3 combo enchilada as well as there chimichanga hehe <br/>My friend had the burrito which he stated had huge flavour and portion was perfect. <br/>We all shared 2 jugs of frozen margaritas that defiantly didn't lack a punch haha <br/><br/>Great little place with an awesome vibe and food to accommodate will be back on a regular basis

Decided to bring my partner here for her birthday! A dinner for two and a high chair quickly changed to 5 and a high chairwhen a few friends decided they wanted to come... We told the restaurant that we had to change when we got there... Was this a problem... Not at all despite how busy they were! And I knew we were in for a great night.<br/>Before I get into the food; I must give the service an absolutely A+ they were incredible and made the night perfect and helped this restaurant get a 5 rating in my eyes!<br/>As for food everything was great. The nachos were had for entree were absolutely perfect, sure it's not hard to make nachos but these people have mastered it! The guacamole was incredible and I'm not the biggest fan of it! I then went on to have quesilidas, and this was just out of this world; the pulled beef was just outstanding and would just melt in your mouth!<br/>For dessert we had chocolate nachos; once again they were really nice! <br/>It was just a perfect night; I look forward to returning!<br/>

Review of vegetarian chimichanga, and a vegetarian dish off the specials board. <br/><br/>The short of it; amazing food, great drinks, great place, and the best customer service. <br/><br/>Initially, my partner and I ordered a fishbowl to share, and our meals. A few minutes later, the waitress came up to us and informed us they had dropped the docket, and she was just getting the fishbowl made then. It was no problem at all, since we barely even noticed how much time had gone by. As an apology, she gave us an extra shot of tequila, and boy, you could tell there was an extra shot in there! <br/><br/>The meals were delicious. While my mantra is to always try new foods, I will always order the veg chimichanga here. It's a huge serving size, it's filling, it's delicious, and it also comes with salad and rice. Incredibly good value for money for that dish. My partner opted for something on the specials board, which came with nachos, a taco, and a burrito. He especially liked this as it was his first time eating here, and he got to taste a bit of three menu items. It was still a filling dish and he loved it. <br/><br/>After dinner, we stayed a while, then ordered a couple frozen margarita cocktails. All the drinks we had were delicious, and we did not for one second feel rushed to finish up and leave. <br/><br/>The regular waitress (who I think has been there since they opened) is always lovely and we had a great chat while paying for dinner. The customer service we received was faaantastic. <br/><br/>For a local to the area, I'm ashamed to say it was only my third time eating here recently. I absolutely love this place and recommend it highly. It's got a fantastic atmosphere at dinner time; energetic staff, great lighting, and always good music.

We had a great relaxed dinner here. Good was plentiful and tasty. Not quite the traditional Mexican now being produced in Melbourne but still delicious. Service was great and we were not rushed out once we had finished. Will definitely return.

The best Mexican food in Melbourne. Authentic and home made. They give you free tequila shots and the staff are seriously nice and sociable. Highly recommend. Everything including the margaritas are 10/10. Better than Mamasitas 😅😎

Came here after looking at the reviews on Zomato! Was expecting decent Mexican but got a whole lot more. Food came out fresh and the meat was cooked well. Plus, the waitress was super helpful and made the experience even better! The fajita salad is a must if you are looking for something light and refreshing!

Out in the 'burbs, beautiful, fresh mexican food! There could be a little more spice, but i understand that they need to cater for the majority. Their menu is hilariously written, i had the beef burrito, and we shared their guacamole and corn chips. <br/><br/>We came in with a vegan and they catered to our needs, it was fantastic! Good on them, and thanks Rita(?) for our lovely service!

Just like their sister restaurant, amazing Mexican food dished out by very friendly staff. What more could you ask?<br/><br/>Had the fajitas: sauces self serve onto a freshly warmed pita with a big side of beef/chicken on a sizzling plate to make the most awesome flavoured and textured fajitas known to man :). The charred flavour of the meat is complimented by the onion and capsicum that come out sizzling with it. The hot sauces top it off to really make an impression.

Went there last night. There was a meat eater, vegetarian and vegan in our group. They catered very well for all of us. It was really busy, but staff were great and although they warned us of a potential delay in food arriving there was none. The food was great...and honest. All dinner plates were eaten, and given there were young teenagers, this was a bonus. Umm, the Moscow Mule went down well, too.

Delicious authentic fresh no frills Mexican. Definitely a positive addition to the area. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Always a tray to go. Great margaritas.

Weekday and fully packed,a great sign in itself. Great Food,Amazing service,Kids friendly.Winner !! Need i say more.What a great find ! Both the entrees and the mains were spot on.The portions of the mains were massive .I didn’t realise they have got a courtyard and a beer garden at the back of the restaurant.Next time will book in for the beer garden for sure.Overall were very pleased. Disappointed I have to stay unfortunately. Arrived at 6pm, was extremely busy, staff were young and unexperienced, given food after about 35minutes, was similar standard to Taco Bill, after that no one serviced our table for drinks or dessert so we left ASAP. A lady who must have been helping out in kitchen came out at end to wipe tables which seemed to be her only priority rather than attending to the tables to see who<br/>Might need something else. There wasn't even an opportunity to glance any ones way to even get a glass of water. More staff was definitely needed or at least experienced staff that can handle large groups.
