Such fresh tasty quality food. I had a pulled beef and noodle dish, and my partner an incredibly delicious tofu dish. Simply beyond expectation, highly recommend.
Amazing food, fresh, perfectly cooked and great service. Couldn’t recommend this place higher! The tofu vermicelli salad was one of, if not the best I’ve ever had
The food and vibe is 11/10! Always killer tunes playing every time I go in! Big recommend with this place!
Amazing food, amazing service. Loving the fact that we have such a cool Vietnamese restaurant in Bentleigh to rival the tastes found in South Yarra/Prahran. Great work Sam.
We tried A Little Viet for the first time today and LOVED every bite of our lemongrass chicken rice paper rolls, pork bahn mi and fish bahn mi. Not only that, Sam and Amy were welcoming and delightful to chat to. We will be back on an embarrassingly regular basis .
We went to A Little Viet on Friday for the first time. I loved the tastes and the friendly service. Will definitely be back
Well done A little Viet, very nice food and service. Thank you
Great food, great value, great people and service. See you again soon!
The Pho was Amazing. Friendly young lady serving and delicious food!!!
One little Viet pls thank you 50 character review
We love seeing the Bentleigh strip evolve along with the locals and A Little Viet certainly delivers clean and delicious food.
Really love the food and flavours at A Little Viet - the vegetarian pho is amazing, as well as any of the vermicelli salads. The Vietnamese ice coffee is also a hit 👍🏼 Such lovely waiters and good service. Highly recommend this Vietnamese place. Affordable prices too
We went last night for dinner,I had stirfry noodles with chicken and my partner had chicken pho. I must say THE best strifry noodles i ever had...our server was very polite and friendly. Chef was also really humble to cook food for us coz we reached just before their closing time. Will go back again and recommend to others aswell.
I have only just discovered this little gem on Centre Road. During both visits I’ve had the sesame tofu vermicelli bowl and it is seriously delicious and such good value for money at only $15. The service is a little slow but the food is worth the wait. The decor is quaint and modest.
Went on Thursday night for dinner with friend after a recommedations from one of my mate. Didn't disappoint at all.Really impressed with cool rustic interiors, especially handmade downlights which the owner said he built it on his own. The art walls ,main importantly the music that was playing 80s hiphop and classic hits. What a great ambience it has. We had the slow braised beef cheek, the meat was really tender and the salad was very fresh. A bit spicy though. The crispy fish ricepaper rolls were winner with creamy dill mayo. The ocean trout poke bpwl was different than the other poke we get with rice. Nicely cured troutfresh herbs and soy ginger dressing , yuzu mayo combines all well together. The coconut rice and stir-fry asian greens were good too. Had few asian beer which they do happy hour all week for certain time. If you're looking for tasty, good atmosphere and friendly service i would highly recommend this place!!
Service was on point for dine ins. Got the lemon grass chicken Bun (vermicelli salad) and it was super flavourful and zingy in all the right places. Nice flavoursome spicey notes and it was fragrant. This is a local Vietnamese place for me and it's a far journey to your Springvale/ Footscray joints. But it satisfies the craving.
Super delicious. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the food comes out a little slow compared to other Vietnamese places but the atmosphere, music and food means it’s a great place to relax and await your different dishes.
Fo0die dined as a guest of A Little Viet and as such, the rating does not give any consideration to customer service.
At almost a year old, the head chef and co-owner of the venue is no stranger to the Vietnamese cuisine, having worked at Hanoi Hannah (as well as a number of other well known eateries around Melbourne). Located in a small shopping strip with 2P parking located at the back of the venue where First Choice Liquor is, A Little Viet was quiet when we arrived at noon on a slow Saturday.
I wrote the following almost a year ago now …… What a great find and only by chance as I was meandering along Centre Road feeling a bit peckish! Loved the friendly hospitality from a Japanese and an Aussie out the front and chef-owner, Sam from Nepal. The Hanoi spring rolls were great also the phở and pork & prawn spring rolls served with a twist, miso tahini. Fabulous! A little Viet has only been open for two weeks and I’m sure is here to stay … I’d go back for Sams fantastic smile alone!
Affordable, fresh and tasty Vietnamese food in a such a comfortable and clean environment. A Little Viet is our local favourite! We get to visit a lot of new places as food bloggers, but A Little Viet is that great local restaurant that we always go back to because...
The Chicken Massaman was sensational. The Beef Pho was good, but the soup a bit basic. A good new option though and it deserves a higher score overall.
Kids love it hear, food super fresh and tasty. Only dish I wouldn't get again our fish strips. They are a little too salty. We love ordering the sweet potato and kale spring rolls, the tofu rice paper rolls are delicious, highly recommend and pho is delicious. My husband ordered the curry which I will try next time as it looks amazingly fresh.
This place really makes me quite happy. I love pho and the vietnamese cuisine you can get from Springvale and Victoria St but this place really is much cleaner, nicer and most importantly close! The smoked trout rice paper rolls were a great surprise as I haven't seen them on a menu at too many places. I've been here a few times since they opened recently and happy to say that it is my new go to for Vietnamese. Spring rolls are crispy and fresh and if you get a chance to meet Sammy the owner he's always happy to see you. All in all the food and staff make it lovely experience for a quick eat. Oh, and the vermicelli bowls are great too. I'm always a little wary ordering vermicelli bowls from places as I'm not sure whats to expect but these bowls are on the money. There's really nothing negative I could say about Little Viet, it just makes me happy.
Welcome to Bentleigh!!! One of the newest neighbors on Centre Rd Bentleigh and it's Vietnamese pho. Got a chance to pay a visit and here is my take on it. The beef pho was nice but the portion size was rather tiny comparing to most pho places I've been to. The sweet potato-kale springroll was creative but they did not get the dipping sauce right (Nuoc mam). It's a little bit too sour and lacked of balance. Service however was nice and attentive and that made up the whole experience here. Lastly, it's early for them and there is more time to make things work. I wish them all the best and will definitely revisit in the future.
Delicious fried chicken & pork belly. We will be coming back to try the banh minh, noodles and the very wide range of rice paper rolls. And they do takeaway 😊
Sweet restaurant, perfect for an affordable lunch. Choice of 90's hip hop was surprising but a delightful surprise! Good service and great food, will dine there again.
What a fabulous little place! Good Pho soup!
Maybe the music could be a bit more conducive to digestion, but otherwise I love this place and will definitely be back!
I tried the sesame tofu banh mi and was impressed. Good combination of flavours that worked well, and pretty good value for what you get.
I look forward to trying other items on their menu.
It will be great when this place opens for dinner as Bentleigh needs more funky places like this open at night.
Welcome to the hood!
We sampled the lunch time menu of this new and welcome addition to Centre Rd. After only a few days since opening we were excited for another Vietnamese cafe opening over the road from one our family already loves. Which means we have expectations! Unfortunately on this visit we were not blown away. We were intrigued by the vegetarian sweet potato and kale spring rolls. Although crunchy the filling was lost in the pastry, even with the accompaniment of the small lettuce leaf, Thai basil leaf and nuoc mam dipping sauce. Crispy chicken ribs with spicy mayo was a delicious starter but didn't really sing of Vietnamese flavours. The stand out was the lemongrass beef cigars. Three skewered finger-sized cigars of juicy beef wrapped and fried in a betel-leaf started our taste buds going. Ah, here we go with the flavours we were expecting. So on to the curious main of vermicelli salad with beef cheek. Intriguing. The beef cheek was cooked perfectly, moist and falling apart. But we weren't sure if this protein works with the noodles. The dish again didn't take us to Vietnam. It felt too European. I felt wanting potato mash or a bread to marry with the beef. We left full and content but expecting more. We might come back in a few months and see how A Little Viet settles in. Welcome to the neighbourhood.
Went here today for lunch and was highly impressed! The coffee was perfect - best I have had in a long time. The menu consists of a more modern twist on vietnamese street food and the flavours were simple, fresh and absolutely delicious. My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting one of the business owners who was wonderful. I hope that they keep up their personal approach to customers as, in my opinion, this is also fundamental to keeping people coming back, especially in an area where there are already lots of established cafes. To the staff - you have now gained a loyal customer in myself and my family and we wish you all the best for this venture.
A secret little gem in Bentleigh. This suburb is missing great Vietnamese food, and this place delivers quality fresh meals at the right price. I had the beef cheek Vermicelli Noodle salad, which was absolutely delicious. Only issue is it's only open for lunch, but I'm sure this will change.
This is now my new local favourite.
Delicious pho and chicken curry. Really different tasty diverse flavours. Their rice paper rolls are good too. Large servings so good value. Friendly staff. It was a bit cold with a draught blowing in the door but apart from that I couldn't fault the food.
Good place but not a best one.
Visited this restaurant with my husband for the first time tonight. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Best dish of the evening was the sweet potato and kale spring rolls which are made fresh in the restaurant. Aaaaamazing. Everything we had tonight was fantastic. Well done guys.
Frequent diner, ordering Chicken Pho and have consistently never been disappointed! Wonderful staff and chef, they always greet us with a big smile. Lovely and fresh every time.
Best pho ever tasted!!!!
Lets not forget about the Banh mi🤩🤩🤩. I tried this chicken banh mi, the sauce on it was bomb!!! The sauce blends well with the Vietnamese baguette.
And lastly the food was well priced.
10 outta 10
Sure gonna come back soon.
