Review Pizzeria Trina - Bentleigh

I suspect there must be new owners or the existing owners have forgotten how to make pizza, because the cheesy, doughy, greasy, tasteless pizzas delivered were inedible and unrecognisable from those enjoyed a few months ago.

We haven't ordered from Tina for a while but did tonight. Pizzas were really good. Fresh and tasty with just right amount of toppings. Crust was really good, tasty and not soggy at all. Really enjoyed it.

I ordered 2 pizza and after 1 hour i call them to ask what happened.A guy said that it will take minimum another 30 minutes . When I asked the reason he became rude and said that because of the busy day it will take so long ( another 30 mint minimum) and he said that do you want or what ? Unbeliveble 20:00 oclock now and still wating pizza and i cancele it... dont recomented....!!!!

Lovely pizza shop, family owned and operated the way you would want from a quality pizza place. My mates and I have visited Pizza Trina many times and have never been disappointed with their food or service. If you are in the area and you could go for a slice or 5 Trina is definitely worth a visit.

Literally amazing. Just moved to the suburb, and I can't resist their pizzas! Thin crust, quality/fresh toppings, inexpensive price. The pastas are amazingly fresh and delicious too. I think they make the pasta themselves. 10/10

Wow - what can I say. I live 20 mins from this place and as I had an evening appointment in Bentleigh I read the reviews on this place and dropped in. Seriously the best pizza I have had in a long time - if not ever. The place only has 2 tables for 4 (I really hope they can expand into a more dining type place) but the love this family put into their pizza really shows in its flavour and pizza base. We shared 2 large half/half pizzas and their prices were fantastic at around $17 per pizza. The seafood pizza with marinated scallops and prawns was seriously to die for. 10/10 ... can't wait to return.

Used to love these pizzas but unfortunately I’ve had some very incredibly ordinary delivery experiences in recent times - expected delivery times massively exceeded. Just got the pizzas delivered and they are cold. Never Again

This place is definitely at the higher end flavour wise of suburban pizza options. Their bases aren't soggy and their tomato sauce is well seasoned. Highly recommended

Love the range of vegan pizzas here! Pizzas are always fresh and delicious and most of the time there is very good service. Will be back again!

Went Pizzeria Trina last night. Super place with great pizza, pasta and desserts. Definitely come again. Their lasagna is magic .Home made , but wish for cheeses sauce rather than Napoli. Not a fan of tomatoes

Used to love this place and it’s pizzas but not anymore. Recent delivery experiences have been horrendous. Massive delays on delivery and cold pizzas ultimately delivered. Complaints fell on deaf ears - will not be back.

Ordered through Ubereats. The garlic and provolone pizza was tasty, as was the gourmet pizza-half Italian sausage and half Genoa (goats cheese and pesto and prosciutto). The chocolate cake was average.

The pizza here is so good. Fresh flavoursome ingredients. Very allergy friendly - with Gluten Free bases and Vegan cheese. And the service is like your old fashioned pizza shop. The owner genuinely cares that you’re happy with your order.

Wasn't in the mood to cook anything on Saturday so placed an order from Pizzeria Trina looking at the good ratings they had. The order was for a Mare Pizza and a Garlic and Provolone Cheese Focaccia. The advised ETA was 45 mins from the time of order, but was pleasantly surprised when the guy came in around 25 mins. The guy did come early but while leaving did not bother to close the main gate for some reason, did not understand if he was just being lazy or couldn't be bothered. Had to go out and close it as it was quite a windy day here. Coming back to the pizza, first impression was the edges were a bit burnt for my liking, the focaccia crust was a bit thick and fluffy with a fair amount of topping ratio. The mare on the other hand had a very thin crust which during travel even though was a short period of time had become really soggy to the point I had to fold it over like a tortilla to eat it. The ratio of toppings to the crust was pretty skewed as well, i found the toppings were pretty meagre although the scallops were cooked to absolute perfection. However, one of the prawns still had a shell on it. All in all it was a very average experience which had its up's and down's, but will unfortunately not warrant another visit.

We love this place- absolutely delicious pizza and quick service. They are always really lovely in there and we have not had a bad one - they have all been delish!

Best pizza we have had in a long time! We ordered 2 take-away pizzas: one with The Lot and the other Mare (prawns and scallops). Both pizzas had a perfectly thin crust, a flavour rich passata sauce and good quality toppings.<br/>No need to look for another pizza place - delicious!!!Muzz Sander

The best pizza in Bentleigh East! I especially love their Mare. Tiger prawns and scallops are fresh. Pizza dough is thin and nice. Perfect for Sunday night.<br/><br/>Edit: well. it is pandemic time. But today I ordered pizza here for my kid’s birthday. This place was their favourite. I also know that they recently change owner. We were quite disappointed with the Mare (supposed to be tiger prawn and scallops).<br/>1. The prawns were chopped to small pieces. There were not as many as there used to be. <br/>2. The scallops . What have they done ??? They sliced the scallops horizontally. Again, presumably so that it looks like they give generous amounts of scallops. In other words, they gave less scallops too.<br/>3. The cheese were burnt all over the pizza . Well... this, I might be able to cope with, but I prefer the way it was.<br/><br/>I am not sure if I will be coming back. Quite sad, as this place had been our family favourite for the past 8 years or so.

i ordered food from here through uber eats, the penne was homemade so was really nice, i made a note for some parmesan cheese and they put a little tub in for me, which made me happier than it should. Nice and quick!

Had the margarita pizza. That was good. <br/>Ordered pasta- very bad. No flavour- no salt or any herbs. Way too much tomatoes in their sauces. It Felt like we eating a bowl of tomatoes. Just because celebrity chef went there doesn't mean it's great.

The pizza's are really good here. I just want to add a warning about the desserts. Don't go by the photos on the website. We ordered a apple and rhuburb crumble and it arrived as microwaved sloppy mush and barely edible. At $7 it was a rip off. Just stick to pizzas. That is what they do best.

Had a group of six visiting my home on a week night and I had too little time to whip up dinner. Decided that we should have pizza and rang the nearest pizza joint for delivery. Had a large sweet sour chicken and a vegetarian. I wasn't sure I'd trust a sweet sour chicken pizza (that's more Chinese food yeah?) but read the menu closely - it's the caramelised onions that's sweet & sour. Delivery as promised was within an hour on a friday evening. Generous ingredients and piping hot on a thim crust. Will order again.

We mainly get pizzas from here. The pizzas are good. I would say very good.<br/><br/>The service is friendly and efficient.<br/><br/>It's possible to eat at the cafe itself, with a handful of small tables, but we prefer takeaway.<br/><br/>It's a good deal simpler to order over the phone than to navigate their web site.

Our pizza had completely burnt crusts, ruined the meal. Normally, we have good pizzas from here but tonight was really disappointing. Hope this was a once off.

This is the best pizza going! The pizza are superb. I am fortunate to have a few good pizzas places near my home but Pizza Trina  knock it out of the park!  Freshest ingredients, thin base cooked to perfection. <br/>I so look forward to finishing night classes Thursday and getting a large with the lot.<br/>Mad if you don't try this place<br/>Thank you Pizzeria Trina

This is far from our closest Pizza shop but it is well worth the extra journey. Wonderful traditional thin bases with excellent fresh toppings that epitomises quality over quantity.

Great pizza. Authentic with fresh toppings. Always great. Amazing crust. We always get delivery and it is super fast. Saw that it was one of Melbourne's best pizza spots and have to agree.

Delicious pizza! New to the neighbourhood, thought we give this close by pizza place a go. First impression of the pizzeria was warm and friendly. All of them are with big smiles. Ordered the pizza Pepe for my hubby and pizza mare for myself. The pizzas are beautiful. Thin crust with great quality ingredients, pizza mare hands down the best seafood pizza I've ever had. Big juicy prawns and scallops, definitely good quality seafood used on the pizza. Every mouthful is sensational! Highly recommended this wonderful pizzeria.

Very high quality pizzas and pastas, most delicious toppings and combinations. A real handmade pizza. Last 2 times were not their usual standard, a little concerning and i hope its just a temporary bump... great for takeaways but would love if they offered a sit down option too. No portals.

Trina used to be our favourite. Their thin crust pizzas were consistently fresh and delicious, and always delivered promptly. <br/><br/>The last few times we've ordered they've arrived much later than expected and the pizzas have been badly burnt. The ingredients don't taste fresh any longer. We've ordered a few more times, giving them the benefit of the doubt, but after having to throw half our last order in the bin we're striking Trina off our list. <br/><br/>Such a shame; we used to rave about this place. Hope things improve in the future, but for now I would recommend elsewhere.

Oh man oh man. This used to be one of the best pizza joints in town. I've prob personally ordered about a bazillion pizzas from pizzeria trina. BUT, at some point in the last 12 months, new owners took over. It's been like watching an angel fall from pizza heaven - and that angel landed squarely in the land of mediocrity. Bases ain't what they used to be, toppings ain't what they used to be, technique ain't what it used to be. I've given you so many chances pizzeria trina, but I won't be back since last weeks Margherita had a distinct taste of anchovy, was burnt and yet undercooked at the same time. Sniff. <br/>

This is the worst pizza I have ever had-it was cold when it arrived, they forgot the sauce I had paid for (a yogurt dill sauce for the pizza - i ordered less cheese so wanted the sauce for it to not be dry) and i had to call up twice to ask for the sauce which arrived over 2 hours later! I ordered a baby cos salad- it was literally a bunch of lettuce leaves, 4 bits of walnuts, 4 bits of apple slice and a few cubes of cheese that smelled DISGUSTING. NO dressing. The gnocci was over cooked. It was horrible, and cost me over $46..... I will never buy from here again

i was impressed with the service and the quality of the pasta, i also ordered two large pizzas for my kids and they loved them. i will be back! ^__^

I'm very fussy when it comes to Italian food but my best friend recommended pizzeria so i gave it ago. to my surprise the pasta was delicious! the chicken pesto linguine was better then i could have imagined, i'll definitely be coming back for more!

I had discovered this pizza place during my daily read of the local paper. It came under the top 10 places to go to for a delicious meal. I had to give it a go! Needless to say I was far from disappointed. Best service from the girl at the front and even better pizza. Will recommend to my future grandchildren.

Give this one a miss. After some very poor service by the front of house staff both when placing our order and when picking it up, we brought home overly salty pies with burnt crust. As my kids said, "how hard is it to make Margherita pizza?" <br/><br/>Too bad that this neighbourhood place doesn't deliver.

Worst pizza experience of my life. I bought two pizzas and received a garlic and cheese pizza free. Not only did I have to ask to place an order, because the staff were so unfriendly but then the man making the pizza casually walked over to the tap, cupped his hand and drank from it, wiped his mouth with his hand - then continued to make pizzas. Gross. The pizza was the worst excuse for a pizza I've ever had. It had no flavour and the pancetta was so salty that it was inedible. The garlic and cheese pizza had about $10 worth of cheese on it, yet the vegetarian pizza had all of about 2 pieces of vegetables on it. The base of the pizzas was awful and the sauces only further enhanced the cardboard flavour. About 3 pieces of pizza were eaten in total and the rest was thrown in the bin where Pizzeria Trina's food belongs. Don't waste your money, for the same price there's 15 better places to get pizza from in this area (not including the supermarket where you could get a frozen pizza which would be far more enjoyable and edible).

Not the same trina. This place used to have killer pizza but lately it's just not the same. Had a salad and pizza delivered tonight came fast, maybe too fast as the crust didn't have its usual crispyness. In the past we have to use self control not to finish the whole thing, tonight half of it went in the fridge. Tasted like pizza was totally different than the pizza they used to serve.

Delicious and super friendly. Went to Trina with the family on Tuesday...had the margherita,garlic,prawns, chicken pizzas and a pasta..all delicious. We really enjoyed the night...and everyone is so friendly ..Thank you

More meat needed, less salt needed. Seafood pizza has little, Italian sausage pizza was bland and meat lovers like pizza was pick of three as it had a little more ingredients included.

First time trying Pizzeria Trina and was not dissapointed at all. I had the "Porco" Pizza wchich I added roasted peppers and mushroom to it was amazing among the best I've ever had, perfect base and the toppings were top quality it was absolutely delicious!! there was not even a crust left in the box we also got two pastas the bolognaise which we changed the linguini pasta for ravioli which was perfect and also had the porcini linguini which was also mouth watering which is a surprise considering I'm not much off a cream based pasta sauce fan. I can not wait to go back

Converted me to pizzaology. I was pretty ambivalent towards pizzas before I came to this place, having had way too many Domino's pizzas at university events. However, now I know what a really good pizza tastes like... just come find out here! I've been a couple of times and both the pizza and pasta are excellent - think we also ordered dessert once, but I can't quite remember what it was like. What really stands out, though, is the amazing service. The owner always takes a personal interest in the customers and many of the staff are obviously keen about what they do, which comes out in the taste of the food. Very glad to have such a great local pizzeria and will come back whenever I need a pizza fix.

Best pizza in Bentleigh. Fabulous pizza - lovely thin crust and wonderful toppings. Pasta dishes are also good and the desserts are yummy.

There are pizzas and there are Pizzeria Trina pizzas!. Traditional or "Gourmet" Pizzas : You haven't really experienced one until you have savored one of Pizzeria Trina's pizzas ... Likewise with pastas and risottos. Ultra fresh ingredients, and everything's cooked to perfection! I am slowly but surely getting through their entire menu, and enjoying every bite along the way. Extremely friendly owners and staff. Very prompt service too. It's a must-try when you are in the neighbourhood!

Perfect pizza, divine desserts. We just love the food at Pizzeria Trina. Pizzas are delicious and such good value, especially considering the beautiful fresh toppings. The desserts are always amazing and to top it off everyone there is so lovely! There's nowhere else in the area like it, big thumbs up.

Best Pizza. Best pizza love it always consistently top quality... Tony is a lovely and friendly person... Love the chilli and parmesan foccacia its fav in my house....

Best in the area. The Dear Luncher is marginally outside of their delivery zone, which is shattering. But it's worth the short 5-6 minute drive it takes to get there.

Delicioso in one word. Our favorite pizza in Melbourne (CBD included), these guys know how to make a great crust, use fresh ingredients, and serve up a pie with a smile. Genoa is good, Hawaiian is good, Margarita is good, dang it, it's all good!

Pizza is amazing - can't wait to return. I went to this little pizza pasta place after reading their great reviews and I was not disappointed. Four of us shared 2 large pizzas and I am not exaggerating when I say they were the nicest pizzas I have had in years. We usually eat in Camberwell, but I would happily travel the extra distance for the quality of the pizza here. I can't wait to try their pasta (they had a spaghetti ragu that looked delicious). The way the owner and his staff prepare that pizza with so much love of the food and pride is evident when you taste the result. AMAZING ! I had the pizza Mare which had the most delicious prawns and scallops which had been marinated in a garlic parsley marinade. OMG so good ! Their prices were fantastic and they are happy to make half/half on large pizzas which is a bonus (many places won't do this I find). The place is tiny though and only seats 2 tables of 4 so you would be best to book a table or get takeaway. Seriously good - can't wait to go back but wish they could expand their place to cater for restaurant style dining !

A fantastic little takeaway joint (with a few tables if you want to eat in) tucked away in Bentleigh. We are so happy to have found this place. Best pizza in the area for certain (and we've tried ALL the local joints). Definitely our new regular. Yum. And very friendly owners who know pizza. The gnocchi is to die for too.

One of the best pizza's in Melbourne. Have eaten pizza all over the world. This one can stand up to any of them. Consistently very good quality. A 'must try'.

Pizza here is outstanding. Tony and Trina are very passionate about pizzas therefore the end product is very good. I also tried the desserts that are freshly made by Trina and all I can say is ...oh my god! I really hope these guys stay here in East Bentleigh because I'll starve if they leave. Barb Yuan

Better than average, work still to do. We tried the Agnello, the lamb was tasty and although very thin it wasn't overcooked or dry(something alot of places would get wrong), however the eating experience was quite messy and a bit soggy due to the water content of the cherry tomatoes it would be better if they squeezed out the bulk of the juice beforehand, we also had the Hawaiian it was good quality ham and pineapple.

Basically no good anymore. Really annoying to pick up your take away pizzas to find when you get home that one of them is burnt black. This used to be our favorite pizza joint and we come from 10 mins drive away but won't be coming back. Just wish I knew where Tony was making pizzas now!

Love This Place. This place has the best pizza and by far the best service I have ever had from a pizza shop. We used to live next door and order from them all the time, now that we live a few more minutes down the road, they still take great care of us, know us by name and know what we like. Absolutely amazing place!

Quality Food and friendly service. We're new locals and just love this place. We love their Pizzas and I've have had the pancetta risotto a couple of times. That is absolutely to die for and the best risotto I've ever had..<br/><br/>They go out of their way to make you feel welcome if you eat in, and their take-away is speedy and friendly. It's restauraunt food with a take-away timeframe. Just can't rate it highly enough!

Best pizza in the area!. This is by far the best pizza in our area. The base is thin and crisp, the toppings are fresh and flavorful and delivery is prompt. We had the porco and the patata. Normally I'm not a fan of meaty pizza, but the porco is brilliant. The patata is subtle and delicious with just the right amount of gorgonzola. We will definitely be back for more.

Was scepticle to give them a try as the pizzas where average there before. But the neon lights drew me back in and haven't looked back since. Great quality pizzas. Fresh toppings thin base what more could u ask for. Highly recommend

Great pizza with thin bases, and REAL ham. Alsp had the seafood one which was delicious and garlickey. Dessert... Sticky date, very, very good. Didn't want to eat it but I did. Nice people, would happily recommend:)

Great new place. Really inexpensive but fantastic food. Pizza was amazing. If you live in the area you must give them a go. I'll be coming back for more.

Fantastic Pizza. I highly recommend Pizzeria Trina, I have tried several pizzas, and I love the seafood and prosciutto pizza. I have tried many pizza shops around Melbourne, and they dont come close to the quality and taste of this establishment. And not to mention the quality service. Bill Christopoulos.

Pepe - Hit the Spot!. Have been getting dinner here for a while, love the Pasta and have been making my way through all the Pizza's.<br/>Think i've finally found my favourite - the Pepe, really good spicy pizza.<br/><br/>No matter what you have though, the Chilli Parmesan Foccacia as a shared starter is a must!!

Top shelf pizza. We shared a Gallina pizza (with chicken, artichoke, pepper, pesto) and it was a very nice pizza. My friend had the agnello with carved lamb and goats cheese and had nice things to say about it. A little more expensive than some but you get what you pay for - very high quality pizza. Will return.
