It was such a nice experience having coffee here... I like to have my cappuccino with the sugar added while the coffee is being made, and not at the table. The old gentleman at the counter understood my preference. Two skinny caps, extra hot, one sugar each, for having here...simple, but not easy for everyone to get it right...they did it perfectly. Great coffee, great service, nice and clean inside! Loved it.
Lovely staff. Ordered a sunday morning skinny chocolate milkshake and the special omelette; Chorizo, Spinach and feta. Quite tasty. Generous serving size.

Elfresco is clearly a long-time favorite cafe for locals. From simple foods on the display to a simple a la carte menu, everything is simple. You wouldn't find anything fancy here but "not-so-complicated food". Coffee could be a little bit too hot sometimes due to the majority of customers' preference, which is understandable. Service actually is pretty good here, nice and friendly. I would say this is not the kind of cafe for foodies but people who need so called 'real food'. I like this place and recommend it to you guys. 👍

The egg was stone cold when it arrived – sitting on the middle of cold dry toast. No bacon, no butter. This was accompanied by a bitter cappuccino.

Same owners but they must have different staff because how different was it this week! Smiling staff. Great coffee. And I ordered the 'morning harvest' breakfast from the specials. This was a saute of broccoli/green beans/snow peas on a bed of grilled Haloumi and pesto with one poached egg with a honey mustard dressing. Presentation was wonderful (photo next time I promise) and I really enjoyed the flavor.
I had a good time here. I've been reading a lot of negative comments about the place but I don't think that it was bad at all. I ordered a bruschetta while my mate ordered a veggie brekky and we both liked our meals. Coffee was good cause it was made according to my taste. Staff was nice and friendly. So a good experience for me.
We come here all the time and coffee is excellent. Brunch is great too. an older crowd generally and atmosphere not trendy but food and service fantastic.
While enjoy a tremendous lunch with my mother I witnessed a very large blonde girl storm out of the shop not realising it was the waitress who rudely served us our salad moments before walked up to a busker in the street and rudely told him to leave she then was approached by a customer in clicks and had a screaming match with her I think everybody scattered away after such a scene it ruined my appetite and I won't be coming back the rest of it was superb had she just let everyone be happy

First few times I came here it was great, i had the miami pancakes and they were heaven..
coffee is pretty good, but not amazing.
Unfortunately sometimes the food can be hit & miss.. one week the pancakes were perfect, the next they were hard and extremely thick..

Proudly our 'local'. We visit Elfresco at least once a week and have not yet been disappointed, regardless of whether we want breakfast/lunch/snack or coffee. The staff are friendly and the food is always fresh and generously proportioned. The restaurant is often full of people and has a good 'buzz'. We are stoked to have such a good cafe within handy distance to home.
Fantastic coffee! Great range of food - especially vegetarian. Pity I couldnt fit any of the scrumptious desserts in- next time! Most waitresses were very friendly and welcoming. And again, Best coffee I've had for awhile :)
Love it. Best coffee in Bentleigh. Good breakfast too. Great place to take kids - lots of space and the staff take the time to make them feel special. Always full of family and friends gathering to share good times, good food and good coffee.

BEST EVER Avocado and eggs ! Deliciously delicately drizzled with ? maple syrup, perfectly toasted sour dough and peppered with delicious ripe cherry tomatoes !! MUST TRY ! Really friendly efficient staff, huge brekky selections. nice selection of desserts.
Came upon this cosy little Cafe today with a large group of friends during lunch today. Service was excellent and promptly even though we didn't have a booking. Very spacious and quiet with ambient music background. Pooja & Sam were so friendly and introduced us through the menu with their signature dishes and recommendations.
Overall food and drinks are very good value and plentiful. My friends and I are glad that we found this place, will definitely come back again. Thanks again for such a great service Pooja & Sam!

Definitely my favourite place for a coffee. Sam makes the best cappuccinos and is very lovely. He always remembers everyone’s names and their orders and it’s such a wonderful thing to see.
The coffee is the best, food great and the service is even better. It's always a thoroughly enjoyable experience. My coffee order and name are always remembered, even if I've been away for a few weeks.
They make the best hot and cold chocolates on Centre Road. Margo and Tina are an amazing team - warm and friendly even on the gloomiest of days during the lockdown.
The menu is traditional. So don't expect smashed avo and grilled haloumi - but what they do, they do well.
