Stumbled across this place searching for any good take away in Bentleigh. We've ordered a few times now and it's been outstanding each time. The chicken and prawn dumplings are the best we've ever had. Yuyiang pork is delicious, we highly recommend it. If you've ever wondered what Kung pow chicken is... It's awesome. Try some.
There's been some negative reviews about delivery time. I'd rather get good food late than rubbish quick. Just plan ahead, it's worth it.
I really shouldn't be writing this. Obviously too many people already know about this place. The only downside to my delivery last night was how long it took.
I ordered scallop dumplings and the Golden Soft Shell Crab. The Crab arrived really hot and crisp! Both were amazingly good! And they came with a free soup that I also enjoyed.
They were genuinely apologetic about the delay. I think the horrid cold weather meant they were getting overwhelmed with orders. I'll definitely keep them on my yummy list.
Super duper delicious for what I ordered. The basa fish with sour vegetables or sauerkraut was amazing! The double cooked pork was delicious. A must try if you are around the corner. Updated on 2/3/17, still the same old friend. Their beef brisket is delicious too!
Delicious Chinese food, kind and prompt service, good prices. Certainly far superior to the previous Coco Sambal. Clean and tidy. They make their own dumpling, excellent dim sims and spring rolls. The menu is various and bilingual, which is nice. I can warmly recommend it and will go back there may a time.
Unfortunately it did not last: since the beginning of 2017 the cooks (mum and dad) left and the food is now pathetic, the menu is reduced to a half of what it used to be and the restaurant, being empty, is not accepting customers because it is too busy....????? Shame on you!
Happened upon this place by accident, I do not live in Bentleigh. Purchased an order of vegie spring rolls to take home. They were delicious, so when I wanted my sweet & sour chicken on Saturday I called to place an order. Man spoke good English so I ordered S & S with no rice. It took 15mins to get there, the women although very courteous hardly spoke English and did not understand I had called through an order. So I tried to show her on menu, but said no rice, finally after 20mins she placed the order. Although it was very nice, with no deduction for no rice I found it was very nice BUT, very few vegetables and hardly any sauce, it spoilt the taste as it was to dry. They really need someone at all times to be there who speaks English, and sauce with the meals like other shops. I will go there again and hope for a better experience.
I discovered this little gem between the carpark below Centre Road walking along Mitchell Street. I'm partial to genuine Chinese food, and particularly beef dumplings. The food was great. The restaurant looks and feels new. And the staff were attentive. I've been there twice, and the second time they accidentally gave me twenty cents too little change, which I realised after I'd left. Seconds later, the guy came running out with the extra change.
Ordered a takeaway from here tonight, the food was delicious and the service great. Finally a really good Chinese takeaway (it's a restaurant too) we ordered the lemon chicken, it was truly yum, great batter and sauce, not greasy at all. The fried rice with egg and spring onions was also really tasty and also not greasy ( usually the worst thing about Chinese takeaways) I believe this is a new business in Bentleigh and we will 100% be ordering again. Loved it
Not sure how this place is rated so low. The food is incredible. I’ve been here over 10 times and it has been great each time.
They always account for our order requests perfectly. The store is only set up for takeaway but that doesn’t bother me.
The quality of the food and the price is just a step above any other chinese restaurant.
Your food is delicious. Though your portions are small, why dont you ever fill the container? if i am paying for 'large' I want the container to be filled. Also why dont you sell prawn crackers? It's weird. Aren't you a Chines shop?
I don’t understand the negative reviews on here. Just picked up my first order (usually get it delivered by Uber Eats). Pick up was seamless and the food is 10/10 again. Never disappoints. Won’t be ordering through Uber again… I’ll be going direct!
Recently ordered Sweet & Sour Pork and Vegetable Fried Rice recently and both were amazing. Lovely cuts of pork and fresh ingredients all round. After trying many other unsatisfactory Chinese restaurants in the area we have finally found our go-to place.
Will be ordering again tonight, can’t wait!
really suggest that Honey chicken with rice need to be adjusted. Honey chicken tasted really good, but no vegetables in there. i tried a lot of meals in your restaurant. Only this dish need to be adjusted a bit. Over all, this restaurant is worth to try.
