Unlike some of the other reviewers the lack of free bread doesn't particularly offend me. Order the garlic bread if you must, get over it. I've been to Al Forno on several occassions and have been impressed with their ability to serve consistently good quality food at a reasonable price. Keep up the great work guys!
Great place in Bentleigh, have only had takeaway but the food is great and is a weekly takeaway choice. You have to try the pulled pork pizza - delicious!

I've been to Al Forno three times now, and each time has been excellent. It's just a small local eatery, but it's well worth a visit. The food is always delicious and the service is great too. They're really accomodating when making adjustments to pasta dishes, and always get your requests right. Their gnocchi is superb and so soft, and their sauces are fantastic. I've had the gnocchi with chicken and avocado in a cream sauce, and I've had a gnocchi with chicken and avocado in a yummy curry sauce (sooooo good and way better than it might sound to some). Two out of the three visits, I've had and shared the chocolate mousse. The first time was delicious and the second time it tasted more like a light chocolate pudding/whip.
The only minor negative I can say about Al Forno (and this is purely nitpicking), they don't play music so there's no real ambiance to the restaurant. Having said that, the decor is nice enough and the staff are friendly, so couple all of that with beautiful food, and this is now my favourite local Italian eatery. I highly recommend it. It's great for dinners with the family and it's really well priced.
Had a lovely family dinner tonight at this place. The peri peri Chicken Pizza was excellent and vegetable gnocchi was quiet good. Tiramisu was excellent and we totally loved it.
Have ordered from here with Menulog over 5 times now. Have ordered various pizzas, parmas and burgers. Everyone has been very please with the quality and portions of the food. Love it, definitely a great local go to. A bonus that they're open and deliver till 2am on Friday and Saturday nights !!!
Craving pizza and this was the only place left open at midnight that would deliver, I was super hesitant as I hate a bad pizza let down. But holy moly, this hands down had to be in the top three best pizzas I’ve ever had. I did pay $1 each for extra chicken and cheese but they PILED it on. So incredibly worth it.

We had a beautiful meal for 2 here. We ordered a spicy pasta and chicken valentino - both delicious. Good wine list. Finished off with Tiramisu. Will return.

Foods always delicious, the veal scallopini is to die for and this time around I had the Spaghetti Del Mare Supremo which was fresh as!
