Review Wise Monkey Cafe - Berowra Waters

leokimvideo
The most trendy cafe / restaurant / gossip stop In Berowra. Coffee is now great and there is JUMBO SIZE available. Wise Monkey is popular with people buzzing off to work, local Btown mums having a catch up, cyclists doing their 300km rides and people just looking for somewhere near Berowra train station that has very good food. And that’s where Wise Monkey fits in, there’s a complete vacuum of good places to eat during the day in this part of Berowra. Staff here are always friendly especially the owner of this incredible magical cafe. Wise Monkey has that warm inner city cafe feel all the way out on the outskirts of Sydney at Berowra. 🙊 🙉 🙈

I was staying in Berowra when I happened to catch an episode of The Living Room when Miguel came to help out. I popped in on a Sunday of a long weekend and the place was jumping. I met the lovely owner and we had a nice chat. Then I ate. Wonderful coffee and delicious food. I also bought one of Miguel's Madelines to take home with me. Well worth it. Great café.

Great food and the coffee was fantastic. Thank you for your awesome service! I am vegan and I avoid gluten, soy, corn and vegetable/canola oil. It is so diffuct to find cafes that cater to these requests but Amy was so accommodating, she sat down with us and made sure that we had a great experience. The food was amazing, the ambience is relaxing and the service was quick and with a smile. Lucky to have such a good quality cafe in the area!!

The food surprised me, it exceeded my expectations. Got the nachos and pulled pork roll. Very happy with the food and the prices ! Best nachos I've had in a while. The pulled pork was very soft and did pack some asian flavours that reminds me of my people's food. Was only stopping here as there was nothing else in the area. Will definitely come back if passing this way again.

Such a lovely cafe. The food is absolutely delicious (especially the three cheese toasties, fresh juices, and gluten free treats)! The staff are also great and always so welcoming, especially Amy! Highly recommend coming here, I’m a big fan! 💗🙌🏻

Very lovely Cafe. Extremely accommodating for dietary requirements (plenty of vegan, and GF options) while also being very accommodating and friendly staff. They provide free women's sanitary items in the bathroom. The food also tastes great and are good portion sizes. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're on a road trip and looking to have a bite

Wonderful pit stop when travelling from Canberra back to Queensland! The most welcoming, warm and wonderful place. Coped with our ‘weird, lactose free, gluten free, half strength’ order without batting an eyelid 🥰 Superb facilities and happy smiling team. What more could we want? (make it closer to brisbane 😂) Thank You.

I've been wanting to go here for a while but at the time they had experienced the hail storm and had to close. We came yesterday on our way back from the city. Well!! I wish you were closer because I'd be there all the time. I got fritters with bacon. Generous serving, bacon actually crispy, poached eggs beautiful and runny. Friendly service from people who looked like they enjoy their work. The menu was so vast I could have tried everything. We grabbed some macarons on the way out (cleared them of their 6). We used to visit baroque a French place in darling harbour who unfortunately closed. I've not found a macaron since that lives up to theirs. But hello wise monkey you set a new bar!! Flavourful creamy inside with a soft outer shell just as they should be!! Definitely will be back again to try more!

Fantastic food and coffee! If you are heading past Berowra it's the best and all day breakfast! Had a pulled pork burger but opted for the lettuce instead of the bun so good!! Can't wait to get back to have it again, Delicious! Lovely staff and super quick thank you!

Food was delicious and the service was amazing. They went above and beyond to accomodate us and our babies/prams even holding one of the babies so we all could eat. Such a great experience and couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

I had THE yummiest mixed berry muffin yesterday from Wise Monkey. It was certainly homemade and was just the tastiest muffin I have had. Look forward to the next muffin...

The best coffee on the North Shore, and now serving a very yummy Vegan Banana bread. 5 star service and something for everyone even the special diet people.

Yes the coffee and food is excellent but really I come back over and over again for the incredible service and friendly staff. Love seeing Amy’s smiling face in the mornings!

Very poor customer service cutlery was thrown at table. All food was cold. Not to mention waited 40mins for food. Would never go there again

I normally enjoy campos coffee, This one was more like warm milk. My cappuccino was made as a flat white, I waited 10 minutes for one coffee. While two staff did meal prep out the back.

Great coffee. I chose to get off the train in Berowra instead of Hornsby on the way up the coast, as I knew there was a cafe close to the station with a Campos Coffee sign out the front. I needed my morning coffee more than ever after having no coffee yesterday and walking 35km in The Bloody Long Walk. I hope you get the picture ? I was wanting coffee and I wanted a good one. Wise Monkey did not disappoint and it was a great (one of the best) coffee perfect strength and my almond milk was expertly textured. The service was excellent too. Happy staff, happy customer !

Most importantly awesome coffee but also really delicious food, friendly staff and great for the little ones. They even do 50c sandwiches for kids! Great value for money X

I've been here 10 minutes and I'm already so impressed with the service. Think I've found my roundtrip stop off from now on!

This should actually be a 3.5, except the 0.5 increments have been removed...

We chose Wise Monkey for a quick family brunch. The menu was limited for holiday trading, which is fair enough. However, one member of our party ordered one of the listed menu dishes (not one of the specials), and somehow the kitchen forgot the eggs and the mushrooms in a mushroom and egg dish! It took three goes to get it right, and we were only offered a complimentary coffee for the trouble, after we’d all already drunk the ones we’d ordered and didn’t particularly feel like ordering any more.

Thankfully, the rest of our dishes were lovely, the coffee was good, and the girls serving the dishes were doing their best to handle what seemed to be several letdowns from the kitchen staff. You would think the kitchen would be on top of a limited menu, but apparently not.

We will return to give them a second chance, and would recommend booking ahead for a group.

Stopped over during Oxfam 100 training. The chicken sandwich was simply delicious but the thing that really made our experience wonderful was the lovely boss lady who saw my partner scoffing down smoked salmon from our bag, she offered us bread, butter, cheese and even rocket to go with the salmon!! Beaming from her kindness and will def be a returning customer when we go for another training session.
