Had lunch there today and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had grilled calamari salad and confit of duck whilst my partner had the prawns and dhal curry. The food was as good as anywhere in fancy restaurants . This has my high recommendation so if you are in the southern highlands make it a must.
A friend and I were driving from Sydney to Canberra and decided to make a pit-stop in Berrima for a quick coffee/tea perk up. We ended up at Josh's place around dinnertime. The restaurant was packed and had a great buzzing vibe.
Despite our measly $8 order for coffee and tea, the staff were SO friendly and accommodating. My tea also came with honey and a slice of lemon which was a nice touch.
Will definitely drop by for a proper meal when I'm back in the area!
Very good food, everything was fresh and nicely cooked. Desserts were to die for. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff.

My partner had the Ploughmans Platter which he enjoyed. He loved the chutney. I had the risotto which was absolutely delicious!!! The service is wonderful. Nice friendly atmosphere. Great choice for lunch on our Sunday afternoon.
Absolutely delicious. We went here on a Saturday afternoon in between wineries. The service was superb and the food was yummy. Would highly recommend the zucchini puffs, the calamari and the short ribs (although this last one was a special). Nothing to fault. Would happily be back.

Delicious food, great coffee, charming hosts!. I had probably my 4th or 5th meal at Josh's today. I've done breakfast, lunch and dinners and I cannot get enough. Each meal I have had has been original, fresh and delicious. This place is worth the drive no matter where you live!

What can we say, perfect every time, zucchini fritters are beautiful, steak melts in your mouth, and definitely have the creme brûlée. Oh my god. One of the best in the district places to come to eat, you will not be disappointed.
Yummy eggs Benedict. Nice feel to the place. Coffee so so - might have been better if the boss had of made it. Overall would recommend and we will return on our next trip. We visited on a public holiday - I am not sure of they are always open for breakfast? May need to check..
I have only dined at Josh's for breakfast but going on their breakfast can't wait to have lunch or dinner there. Breakfast was magnificent,having dined in many cafes in the area I rate Josh's above the rest.

Loved it. What a great little ambience! We came for coffee and desert and found ALL the staff absolutely lovely and very welcoming and the coffee and cake delicious. We are heading back on Saturday night for our anniversary dinner!
Love It. Have eaten here several times and have loved it each time, the food is great, the staff very friendly. If you are in town this is the place to eat.
We had dinner here on Fri night on the way to Syd. The food came very quickly and waiters were very nice. The menu is basically Mediterreanean and is pretty authentic. The prices are not cheap but for the quality of the food it's worth it. The calamari and the prawn entrees were great and the char grilled veal was delicious. A great place to stop for a quality meal in Berrima. And tellingly, it was PACKED on Fri night. We will come back!
Terrific. Service, food and atmosphere make this a definite restaurant to try. Pork belly and zucchini fritters entree are a delight, the tuna for main was excellent and the winter triffle and chocolate fondant are not be missed. Big tick from Simon!
Perfect Pancakes. Been here twice already, both times for breakfast. Small and cozy, the coffee and the pancakes were perfect. A number of people have mentioned to me that the dinners at Josh's are great too. Will have to try. Recommended.

Garlic prawns are sensational. Beef briskets and chilli mayo that night for the main exceptional. Would love to come back and try other dishes. Very nice place.
Surprisingly good food for such a simply-named place. We had a range of entrees followed by desserts, which were all great. The main menu also looked substantial, as was the wine list. Great service and cosy vibe.
Josh is a superb chef! We love this restaurant and go there when we travel between Sydney and Canberra. This time we really loved the mushroom risotto, veal, prawns and pork belly. It was so pleasant sitting in the garden.

i ordered and drove in my car to an airport which then took me to LA then i took another plane to the UK then another to las vegas and then ANOTHER back to where this cafe is located! the food had just been cooked! it took them DAYS to cook it.

A boutique cafe ! Highly recommended! Great staff and where can you find the Chef serving ! courtyard seating is great ! We love their fig and calamari and risotto 😘
Consistently delicious. The menu used to change more though. This cafe is Turkish inspired but not necessarily Turkish. It's a bit busy oft times so a reservation isn't s bad idea.
