Celebrated my husband birthday by ordering the chef's tasting menu and a mixology menu to accompany our 8 courses. It was well worth the money to sample various different meals. Each dish was presented well and delicious. Would definitely come back again.
MPD Steak Kitchen you guys are amazing thank you so much for a wonderful night. I could not recommend you more. service, food and atmosphere made for the ultimate dining experience. Omg the 6+ was on par with a 9+ kobi i had at moo moo's in qld highly recommend the butcher block. and the Tiramisu with coffee snow was on point sort of hard to see the dry ice smoke coming off it in the video but WOWđČ

Brilliant Night. Our Emily made it even better. Food drinks and laughs flowing. We will be back. It is stunning plus menu is delicious. Try the brisket Yum and an espresso Martini.
We love coming here and cant recommend and commend you enough on outstanding food and service. Your cocktails are to die for đ
Fantastic food ! A bit on the expensive side but well worth it ! We had the mpd espresso martini and the smoky bourbon.
Went for the degustation lunch yesterday with my daughter and the whole experience was fantastic. Wait service staff were friendly and efficient and the food was to die for. Will definitely be back
Fantastic food, great atmosphere and the wait staff are lovely! Can't recommend enough!!
Highly recommend. Good ambiance, great service by knowledgeable staff and amazing food. Definitely be back.
We went there on Tuesday, my steak was cooked to perfection, good food, good ambiance & knowledgeable staff. Will definitely go there again.
Great experience from the moment you walk in. Fantastic seating, lovely menu, impressive drinks/wine list. Customer service 10/10 and food is a solid 9
Kinda of cheating as I've only been to the pop-up.
Food: Steaks are above average.
Service: Impeccable. Possibly because it was temporary, but great nonetheless.
Ambience: It was a part of Spice Market or some bar that was taken over for this event. Good vibes.
Value: Worth the money. Gonna trek down to Berwick to try the real deal!
This is a little gem hidden in the suburbs! Who wouldve thought a bomb restaurant like this would exist in Berwick! Great staff, great location, AMAZING interior and above all else, HANDS DOWN THE BEST STEAK within a (probably) 50km radius! I am still in awe on how exhilirating our experience was there. We will definitely come back!
This is my favourite restaurant in the south east, love the food, always the best quality and flavours, not only the steaks but the other mains, the entrees and the desserts are so good. Great cocktails and great vibe.
I took my husband here for his birthday lunch and wow - we left stuffed! The place is absolutely gorgeous! We spent a while just basking in how pretty it was.
We ordered the set menu which ended up being a lot of food, but we did our best to get through all the delicious things that were put in front of us. The steaks were incredible and I discovered that I love chimichurri sauce. I left the restaurant so full that I almost needed to be rolled out. Would be awesome to come back with a group of mates.
Brilliant food, definitely worth the trip out from the city... Scotch fillet was brilliant and service was wonderful. All starters were great also.
Highly recommended!
Named after the Meatpacking District in New York City, MPD Steak Kitchen impresses with a serious steak offering that boasts a selection of regular, to more unusual cuts of beef.
A former nightclub site which has been transformed into a 200-seater restaurant and bar, the MPD build and design (which cost in excess of $3 million) is the embodiment of owners Robert and Victor Zagame's vision. Spanning across two levels, the venue is a sensory overload of touch, smell and sight.
This place is fancy and a lot more than you would expect for berwick. A great menu with heaps of different options. Great array of drinks and wine and heaps of taster options. The service here is aboslutely first class đ
My fiancé took me here for my birthday and we were absolutely blown away by the quality of food and the attentive and friendly service. The cured salmon was so delicate in flavour and beautifully balanced. The gnocchi was fluffy and packed a punch of cheesy flavour which was cut with the perfect amount of pear and walnuts. The steak as you would expect at a steakhouse was cooked to absolute perfection accompanied by their delicious house made sauces. Had a fantastic time thank you to the team at MPD for a memorable night.
Very friendly staff and service. Beautiful dining room dark warm and cozy. The smell from the Chargrill while sitting in the dining made me so hungry and ready to eat!!
our steaks were cooked beautifully and the sauces and sides were delicious . Highly recommend if youâre looking for a higher end restaurant without travelling to the city.
This place has to be the best steak place in the outer south east area! The entrees were also really good too.
Food: 4.5/5
Service: 4/5
Ambience: 4.5/5
Group gathering for a set menu meal, with some variations allowed. Entrees: King Fish cerviche with avocado, halopenos and micro herbs, Moorish popcorn chicken with special mayo, soft/tender lamb ribs with melt in mouth textures. Main: Tomahawk steak impressive, perfectly cooked, succulent and flavoursome. Slow cooked lamb shoulder rustic, packed with flavour. Great service, pricey but worth it.
The MPD steakhouse definitely lived up to its name, with mouthwatering steaks and a delicious menu even if you didnât feel like steak. The staff were friendly and on hand any time you needed, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was well suited to the menu. The food was delicious and there was nothing to fault overall.

Great atmosphere, friendly service and delicious food. The steak was amazing, we enjoyed every minute of our meal. Weâll definitely be returning.
Absolutely magnificent. One of the most well thought out and vibrant, contemporary decors you will find this side of Melbourne.
The steak was melt in your mouth good, the sides were deliciously thoughtful and fresh and the cocktails were everything you could ask for depending on your tastes.
Couldnât recommend highly enough, the share platter was more than enough food and reasonably priced at $55 a head. Great value.
Popcorn chicken was a little disappointing but if you like that sort of thing youâd most likely love it.
From the moment we walked in this place was amazing with the dark entry way and once you enter the main eating area you feel warm and at home. My wife and I tried the 8 course tasting menu and every course was delicious. Staff were friendly and service was impeccable. Will be back for sure.
I have been here quite a few times now, definitely one of my faves in the Berwick area. Easily in my Top 3. I have always come here for the Tasting menu, except for that one time I got a Groupon/Cudo voucher for a set meal, and even that was exceptional. The tasting menu will leave you feeling pretty satisfied in terms of quality, quantity and presentation. If you particularly love meat, I would highly recommend the Butcher's Tasting. If you like a bit of everything, the Chef's Tasting would be the way to go.
The ambience is probably the best around the local area, semi casual and family friendly and yet has that fancy feel which makes it quite an impressive fine dining spot to impress a date. Hubby and I have celebrated birthdays and wedding anniversaries here, and other special occasions. I have also come here with girlfriends on a casual night out. Either way, it is a great option for dining out.
The service has been pretty good and prompt, not amazingly exceptional, but pretty good and I have no complaints there :)
Everyone should definitely check this place out, I want this restaurant to do really well so they would NEVER close and I can keep coming here :D
Great ambience, excellent service and the food was amazing, one of the best steaks ever! Do yourself a favour and get down there itâs fantastic!
This is a great restaurant, it is one the pricey side but you get what you pay for and for my own personal experience they made the best steak Iâve had!! Simply amazing
Must try
FAST Food Review: MPD Steak Kitchen in Berwick
FOOD: Best steak Iâve had in a long time. The Medium rare Eye Fillet and Rangers Valley Hanging Tender with Truffle cheese are your must haves. The Seafood Prawn Linguini and Ora Salmon were scrumptious and well cooked if steak is not your thing. Hazelnut crepe brĂ»lĂ©e to top it off. Kids 2 course set meal is good for youngins too. - 5/5
AMBIENCE: Loved the interior deco. Very intricate and perfect mix of lighting and music. - 4.5/5
SERVICE: Good prompt service, which is what you would expect in a fine dining destination such as this. - 4.5/5
TOTAL: 14/5
Top Tip: This place should be near the top of your Date Night or Valentines Day options
I adore this restaurant. The head chef is extremely clever and service is always wonderful. I also love that this quality is available in the 'burbs! Dining here feels like stepping back in time to a Las Vegas or New York casino. It's sophisticatedly appointed - very stylish. Never disappoints.
Iâm always on the hunt for a good steakhouse so was keen to try this place out after seeing a 25% discount in the entertainment book.
The place has a pretty cool setup, very unique! The seats were comfy. The staff were nice and friendly.
I ordered a Medium eye fillet and it took a good 45+ mins before it came out.
The steak was cooked perfectly to how I like it.
I quite enjoyed the steak and the side of Mac and cheese I got and would definitely recommend to try this place out.
Love love love the food and the atmosphere! The decor looks amazing ! You wouldnât expect to be in Berwick when inside MPD! However it is extremely dark which makes it hard to see the menus which is quite embarrassing when youâre trying to read the menu but canât read a single thing.
We swung in here to try it out on a random Sunday.... so glad we did!!
Loved the feel of the place straight away, very well done inside.
Food was all great, cocktails and wine list were great, service was good but our waitress was a little frustrating (just a bit dumb and explained things like we were 3 year olds).
Glad we stopped by and we will be back for sure.
The word that comes to mind when you step into this place is ambitious. The attention to detail in this fit-out is absolutely ridiculous, the bathroom door handles are giant cleavers for crying out loud.
Not so sure about the electric fire effect at the front walk-way though, I felt like I might've been walking into a strip club.
We only stopped by for their happy hour. Since we had dinner straight after, we just got the popcorn chicken and boy was the serving huge and delicious. Their cocktails were really nice as well, and at $10 each it was a bargain. Wish we had just stayed on.
Will definitely be back to have a steak.
Great food.
Great service
Absolutely fantastic to have a place of such caliber in Berwick.
Loved everything i tried from them.
The mac and cheese is the best around.
Had the chefs special and it was absolutely amazing!! Love the atmosphere and the waiting staff were very helpful and polite would definitely come back again.
Hidden gem in Berwick! The decor of this restaurant is of the highest quality, and the staff were very attentive and polite. Ordered the wagyu burger and it was pretty good! I really enjoyed the fries but the burger was a little on the dry side as the bun was quite thick - More bun that patty. $28 is on the pricier side for a burger, but it's a really nice place and everyone was lovely. My mate ordered a rump steak for ~$40 which he enjoyed but he preferred my fries over his thick cut chips. Thanks for a great night !!!
Had lunch today with my hubby using a voucher which entitled us to two entrees or sweets and two mains. We shared an entree and a sweet and ordered a main each. I ordered the barramundi and hubby ordered the lamb shoulder. Mains come with virtually no veges or salad and if you wish to order any sides, they are extra on already expensive prices. Food was excellent but very pricey. Sauces for steaks are extra too. Definitely a special occasion restaurant unless you manage to purchase a voucher meal.
Venue is very impressive but very dark. Certainly would be a problem for anyone visually impaired. A tad too dark for my liking.
Our mains order got 'lost' so we waited patiently for over an hour before they realised. Our waitress came and apologised and gave us a complimentary side of coleslawđł We thought sweets might come a little quicker but good half hour before that arrived and they didn't appear overly busy. A meal of two courses took well over two hours.
Service when it came was excellent and enjoyed meal overall, but is certainly not the type of venue we could afford to frequent very often.
I really like MPD & happen to be a regular, here's the clincher I really don't eat red meat & yes it's a meat kitchen. I have tried several of the chicken & vegetarian style items on the menu & love them. I like the odd glass of French champagne so it was lovely to sit in a nice restaurant, not too noisy & have a sip or a celebration with friends. My family & friends say the deserts are if not the best/ close to the best in this restaurant. The service is very good. One to sit, relax, enjoy the food & simply just be!! Did I not mention already that my friend who is employed as a Cook for several years thought the steak was spot on too.
Fantastic restaurant! The layout and setup of the restaurant is very welcoming and warm, yet very sofisticated. The food is always amazing and the menu is adventerous without being ridiculous. The steak tartare is one of my favourite dishes. Another great thing about MPD, is that they use local wines and ingredients, so it supports other local businesses. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough.
From the moment you step foot into MPD and are met with a funky corridor entrance and stunning restaurant interior, you are transformed to a different world and you know you're in for a unique experience. The restaurant set up is simply exquisite and the service is phenomenal. The menu offers an extensive range of fish, meat, entrees, sides and of course a huge focus (but certainly not solely on steak). The cocktail menu is incredibly creative and gorgeous. The mixologist is extremely talented. We highly recommend the MPD espresso martini which comes out with liquid nitrogen which turns into ice cream! Stand out dishes for us included the burrata entree, tapioca crisps with baba ganoush, tuna carpaccio (simply melt in you mouth quality) and the barramundi (served in a banana leaf and full of flavour). The tiramisu dessert is a lot of fun too! All dishes were generous in serving, evidently high quality produce, unique in flavour and presentation and extremely tasty. We love the unique combinations of flavours, ingredients and textures and we certainly recommend MPD for those searching for a beautiful fine dining experience
Absolutely amazing decor! Such an interesting place out in the suburbs of Casey. The steaks were nice enough, the antipasto was delicious and so was the salad. $12 espresso martinis were a bonus! The service was a little average, we had to ask for more wine to be poured from our bottle and also purposely get the waiters aTtention to order. Would definitely come back here again
Well who would have thought this upmarket super cool venue was in Berwick behind the Zagame pub!!! Actually it is attached and owned by the Zagame brothers. Great black doors and then you walk through thick drapes into the venue - what a reveal. Fire place, plenty of greenery and a welcoming atmosphere.
ThIs place is trendy with great music, dimmed trendy lighting and some booths as well as tables. The vibe is inner city or a venue feel I had in Singapore. Absolutely fantastic and a great place to dine in and feel like you have been transported to a 5 star venue.
Extremely friendly and attentive staff and a big shout out to our waitress the lovely EMILY - knowledgeable and genuinely friendly.
The food is great and the wine/alcohol lost a bedtime reading book!!
Worth the trip to the South East!!!
We will be back.
We enjoyed dining at MPD and will return.
Although, they did forget one of our drinks order..... we had to ask the waitress where our lemon squash had ended up
Wow this place is amazing I kept thinking I wasn't in Berwick it felt more like an inner city trendy restaurant the decor is amazing dimly lit and feels very fancy the moment you step inside the service is great. Massive wine and beer list from cheap to rather expensive so caters for everyone we tried the expresso martini first and wow it was amazing they pour nitrogen on it so it comes out with mist coming off it was rather impressive we both ordered steaks a porterhouse and rib eye both were cooked to perfection and the sides we got were also amazing can't wait to go back again keep up the good work guys!!'
Eye fillet and porterhouse cooked perfectly (medium & medium rare) and the pepper sauce was flavourful and not too overpowering, popcorn chicken was a nice starter, mac and cheese was good but a bit too salty.
Didn't like the choices of desserts but had the tiramisu and it was weird but yum.
Service is excellent.
It's nice to have a higher quality restaurant in the south east without having to drive to the city
Dined here today on a deals voucher. Could not fault a thing. Tuna carpaccio and smoked salmon entrees were excellent. So tasty. I had the steak and my partner had the lamb shoulder. Again both were very good. Maybe a little dressing to accompany the leaves with the steak. My only quibble would be that the place is a little bit dark inside. Will definitely return.
We have dined here about 3 times now and the food never fails to impress. Albeit the menu is on the expensive, the atmosphere, service and extensive cocktail & wine menu certainly makes dining here with while.
Have been a couple of time now ..Staff are extremely friendly an welcoming. Food portion sizes are generous and steak has always been cooked to perfection
Went here last night and had one of the most wonderful meals i have had Photos show mpd espresso martini drink, kangaroo with mushrooms coffee soil and parsnip puree, and mpd tiramasi All amazing Thanking u staff and chefs for a great night
Atmosphere is lovely. Food was great, our steaks were cooked beautifully. The truffle Mac and cheese is highly recommended! The staff were really friendly and professional. Would definitely come again!

Very swank set up for this spacious restaurant in Berwick. The decor is fabulous darling & you'll be keeping an eye out for Austin Powers. Service is committed & there is an abundance of staff. Food is expensive but very good. Pop in for happy hour and sample their bar menu. It's great value & great fun.
A new steak kitchen has hit the South East and top quality steak is just the beginning. They have a range of dishes to satisfy all tastes and they have an impressive walk in wine cellar housed upstairs in the middle of the room. They have a wall of cows in picture frames, a neon light of a cow with wings and meat cleavers for the door handles. Just to name a few of the awesome quirks about the place.
MPD steak kitchen brings a touch of theatrics to the South Eastern burbs. For the Zagames group, the million dollar steak house, is the diamond in the rough. Itâs lightyears away from the family-friendly Zagames next door. The residents of Berwick breath a sigh of relief, there isnât much to eat, this far South. Now, thereâs billowing clouds of liquid nitrogen and tomohawk steaks the size of a baby. But how does MPD compare to its CBD counterparts? Is it worth the trek down, for us spoilt inner city latte sippers?

The entrance hallway is dark. The flames beckon. Welcome to MPD Steak Kitchen. Named after the Meatpacking District in New York City, this is high-end steak house is from the family behind Zagameâs and is positioned right next door, but wander in, and youâll find that theyâre very different venues.
Service - 5/5 staff were friendly and very attentive
Atmosphere - 5/5 spacious, intimate and innovative. Felt like i was in a restaurant in Crown! đđ
Drinks - 4/5 extensive menu, great variety
Food - 4/5
What we ordered-
Entees: Lamb ribs & cured king fish. The lamb ribs were delicious!! Highly recommend that. Kingfish a bit too sour...but good still.
Mains: 2x steaks which were cooked to perfection (medium rare)
Desserts: apple tart and deconstructed tiramisu. Both were a bit underwhelming, apple tart too sweet.
Price - tad high $$$. The prices of the steaks are already high but you gotta pay extra for the sauce.
Overall it was good, would give it another go and try their other dishes like the pork belly or duck.
The decor of this restaurant is just beautiful; it screams class and quality.
We skipped entrées to leave room for dessert.
I had a 400g Cape Grim strip loin. My god. It was cooked magnificently. All the beautiful rendered fat, and the quality of the meat was high, with that delicious beefy taste you associate with great meat.
The only thing I would change is the variety of sauces. Most places will offer a creamy garlic sauce, which is my favourite. Having said that, a good steak doesn't need sauce, and this steak didn't need a thing.
The triple cooked chips were average at best, and didn't seem triple cooked. They were more like oven baked wedges.
The desserts. My god. I had the apple tart tatin. Holy Jesus. It was a party in my mouth. Possibly THE BEST dessert I have ever had in my life. I'd go back just for the dessert alone!
Service was awesome, too. We'll definitely be back!
It's amazing to think that a really good steak restaurant could open in the back of the berwick springs and be as classy as it is.
Went there not long after it opened and the decor is fantastic. Was seated in a quite dark area and was given a torch to read the menu, which was a little unusual, but ran with it.
The steak was amazing - well cooked and seasoned perfectly. The duck fat potatoes needed a little longer, but tasted great. The Diane sauce was a worthy addition and the Mac and cheese was delish.
The only issues I had were that the sides and the sauces are all extras. Considering the cost of the food, it doesn't really make sense to not include at least one sauce.
We also had our entree forgotten (they had a computer glitch). Forgivable. I'll be giving it another go.
We were pleasantly surprised with MPD Steak. I had the Hanging Tender and it ticked the boxes for me, flavoursome, tender and perfectly cooked to my liking. My partner was also impressed with the tenderloin. The mussel risotto starter was very tasty, and the duck fat roast potatoes were great. Service was good as you'd expect from a high end restaurant. We think the price was reasonable for the quality of our steaks. Nice to know we now have a local venue that offers good quality aged steak.
Great place if a bit expensive for my tastes. For was delicious but be wary of the $4 side sauces! We had mains with sides, large glass of wine and a desert to share and spent $125 so best to leave for special occasion! Delicious though and couldn't fault the service.
I love the fact that there is an excellent steak restaurant on my door step. Great venue, attentive and friendly staff combined with top quality food. If you have a special occasion then MPD is the place.
Stunning decor, super service, excellent steaks, beautiful paired wines.
What more could a meat-loving diner ask for?
It's a perfectly executed formula - find the entrance, get amazed by the amazing environment, feast on delicious steaks, then get blown away by the dessert.Â
If only life was this simple everyday.
It is very obvious a wad of notes has been thrown at the recent fit out and transformation from nightclub to steakhouse. It is a bit blokey for my taste however it is what it is .. a steakhouse and a meat lovers haven if you choose to go down the steak path. Our food was good and the service friendly.
High end in the south eastern suburbs. Having spent many a late evening listening to doof and trying to pick up randoms within its walls during its past life as a nightclub - it's nice to see a venue that has grown up with us. A place that oozes sophistication and class - the chef is Shannon Bennetts Vue De Monde 2IC and should be proud of what they have achieved with MPD. What is sure to become a Mecca for meat - this really is an impressive high end option that will delight the senses. From the moment you enter the long darkened hall towards the vision of fire - this sleek venue lets you know you have arrived at something special. Ambient lighting, a second story wine cage, music that makes you feel you are at a NYC fashion show is just the prequel to a fine evenings dining. This is quality over quantity place with its own signature cut of steak right through to a rib eye that would be at home in a medieval time that is cooked to perfection. Sides are optional and many - and can highly recommend the Brussel sprouts with bacon and honey. The only thing that I fault from the night was the hand cut fries where a little too generously coated in salt. Our Californian waiter could not be faulted - in fact he truly made our night memorable and one where we are looking forward to visiting again. Not the place for those on a budget but certainly if you are looking to impress. Welcome to the suburbs - may you continue to please and impress for many years.
Amazing food, service and ambience. The space looks incredible. The staff were attentive and on-the-ball. Desserts were to die for. Will definitely be coming back!
Really good atmosphere fantastic service. Food was delicious especially the deserts.. Unique decor and very upper class for those looking for something a little special.
Everything about the institution is clearly designed to give the consumer the ultimate "experience" - the fact that the food is exceptional is just the icing on the "deliciously presented tiramisu".
Having just driven a ridiculous number of hours for work, I purely wanted to sit down and grab something to eat, so was not expecting much more than some good food (having heard that this new addition in Berwick might be work checking out on my work trip).
The moment you walk in, you realise that you are in for something special... I felt somewhat like Alice when peering through the curtains after walking through the entrance hall, to what I HOPED was going to be the restaurant. The decor itself was worth going in to see, with it balancing the feeling of intimacy with that of a welcoming and communal space. The lighting, and music too, suited the ambience and made it easy to relax into the experience. The service by staff was impeccable. Water was refilled before having to be asked - food was delivered with care and clear explanation - the staff were attentive and more than happy to talk about the food and their stories, while also balancing the needs of the other customers. Management were incredibly hospitable and are clearly there for the experience of the customers, whilst also being authentically so.
The food of course, being the main drawcard, was spot on. I ordered the gnocchi on the recommendation of one of the waiters and was grateful for the choice - the duck was cooked perfectly and the gnocchi felt like biting into tiny clouds - hard to believe that it was made from the humble potato.
The dessert ordered was the affogato - with the whole liquid nitrogen experience appeasing my inner science nerd. The gingerbread cream was subtle but moreish. A side dish with just that would have been appreciated!
There were far too many interesting dishes on the menu to try in one night, so I am looking forward to returning to see what they can do with steak.
Probably the most ambitious restaurant I've ever stepped into. You'd need to be a regular meat eater to have the strength to open the door just to get into the place, a walk down the hall before heading through the curtain to reveal the stunning space that presumably teleported its self from crown riverside.
Yes at night the place looks insanely good, they are going for the high end market, you know its ambitious when the copper pots your steak sauce is served in cost more than all your food, even at these prices.
The thing I am concerned about is, they are going to be busy now, while everyone tries the new place, but at this price point they are marking themselves as an occasion only restaurant, but they do offer ordinary food next door so perhaps it is a welcome expansion on a new market.
The popcorn chicken was good but a bit of a money spinner.
I was expecting thick cut steaks but they were fairly thin, I agree with other comments that popeseye was indeed chewy. For two steaks two sides and two sauces your looking at around $115+.
Other mains I think are priced as expected given quality and technique.
I think there might be better value in stand alone main dishes, and I'd go back to try them.
Service was good, but again going for that high end market - If I had a $2 dollar credit for every time I heard FOH staff refer to patrons as "guys" my whole meal would have been free!
This has only been open a very short time & it really shows. It's very confusing trying to find the entry, but once inside, the ambience is stunning. One of the best fitted out restaurants we've been to. But, the staff will need a LOT of training to come up to standard. We did point this out to Jamee'rae, the head waitress & she seemed to take our advice on board, so we will return, but will give it some months & hope that things will improve. As for the food, we were advised to try the Popeseye steak, but it was actually chewy & I couldn't eat it all. Not a good choice. This place has tons of potential, but give it some time!
I would suggest that you make your booking at MPD ASAP. It would not be if there was soon a waiting list for a table.
The whole experience was brilliant, their attention to detail from the moment you walk in the door is no different to going to a high end restaurant at Crown.
The menu presents well and is very modern, the presentation of the dishes look almost too good to eat!
Who would have thought that a restaurant of this caliber would be situated in the South East.
Basically all other restaurants in the Berwick area are dead to me.
Went to MPD Steak Kitchen on a Saturday night at 6.30pm on a spurt of the moment, so we had no reservation.
There were 3 of us in the group, the place was packed, we were told that the first table available was at 9.30 but we could have snacks and drinks at the bar, which was fine.
Snacks were just absolutely fantastic, the popcorn chicken is a must.
The staff were friendly and all smiles even though it was very busy.
For drinks try an old fashioned you won't be disappointed.
Definitely will be back.
Went with a few friends to the soft opening. Really elegant restaurant with an open plan kitchen that let you watch the chefs in action. Loved the meat cleaver handles to the bathrooms!
I chose the House Smoked Trout, avocado mousse, Salmon Roe, Rocket Oil which was delicious. I tried the Popcorn chicken with chilli mayo and it was extremely moreish! I thought it was a very generous portion compared to other entrées and secretly was a little jealous that I hadn't picked it. Friend had the moonlight oysters, champagne granita and finger like and thoroughly enjoyed them.
Had a medium rare 250g Cape Grim Pasture Fed Tenderloin which was so flavoursome - it really didn't need any sauce tho I had chosen the BĂ©arnaise which was yum. We chose the truffled mac & cheese (really rich), hand cut chips (can't go wrong) and the BBQ spiced creamed corn (visually unappealing but voted the clear winner by all 4 of us dining - soooo delicious) as our sides.
I chose the MPD tiramisu, chocolate soil, coffee snow, crispy pearls which was also delicious. I don't usually like tiramisu but it was the most appealing to me on the menu so gave it a shot and liked it. Also tried the Vahlrona Chocolate brûlée, hazelnut sponge, Schulz organic yoghurt and my only complaint was that there wasn't more. Everyone was jealous they hadn't ordered this dessert - highly recommend!
Pricing is comparable to other good steak restaurants. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and it's great to see a fantastic steak restaurant not in the CBD!
My new favourite place in Berwick! What a treat from the entry to the grandness of the dinning area. They did a fantastic job to ensure you feel like your in a luxurious venue. The staff are just beautiful and helpful with menu recommendations. The highlight for me were the oysters like I'm coming back again and bringing my son and partner just to experience the mind blowing flavours.
Came with my sister in law for our birthday treat and just loved the experience.
Great place to eat if your a local, in the south east. Food is great. Love the Decor. Itâs a little pricey.. but worth it. The only thing is that I was not too happy with the âtime allocationâ. It only 1.5hours seating.. would be great if they extended it to at least 2hours.
We came for happy hour drinks. It was such a cute venue with a good range for happy hour. Accidentally mixed up my drink order the first time, but I enjoyed it all the same, and got my all star in round 2 instead.
Had lunch here and it was premium. Obviously had to try the Tomahawk and this did not disappoint. All the dishes, just had such great flavours. If youâre a big eater like me, some of the main dishes might be too small for you. Or, get a lot of side dishes.
The atmosphere inside is fantastic, during the day you can see all the colours and ambiance and is worth taking it in.
I had to give a special mention to the Brussels sprouts, these were just seasoned and cooked so well, made eating them really enjoyable. And the unique door handles of the bathroom.
Really enjoyed my experience and would be back for more.
Pre-Valentineâs dinner here with my bf, the wagyu was very good, other serves were nice too. Dessert was delicate and yummy. Could be one of the best restaurants around this area. Recommend it.
