Amazing! I have tried everything on the menu and liked the vast majority! I would highly recommended this place to all.
My favourite Japanese restaurant! The food is amazing and the service is great :) The fish croquettes and the Una Tem are simply exquisite. My husband and I consider it one of the best restaurants in Sydney
Great atmosphere, friendly service and easy to find parking. Tried the deluxe sashimi platter which is a great option if you wanted to sample the different sashimi - everything was so fresh and portion sizes were good. Also got the tempura udon which was nice, the broth had good flavour and tempura was crispy!
Really tasty sushi here and reasonably priced. The restaurant is quite small itself and usually packed. The ambience is nothing special however the delicious sushi really makes up for it. Worth a try.
We went on Valentine’s day with booking. The place was not big so it was full. Pretty yummy and fresh on every dishes. And the service was good as well.
Food here is amazingly good! The pricing is also reasonable. Small restaurant and always packed! Staff are always friendly! They also offer great meal packages with drinks! Must visit place!
One of my favourite cosy local Japanese eats! I always get the usual and order the "up to you" course for two people as it happens to be all the food items we want and it does not disappoint! Service has never really been an issue, especially when we have a habit of not booking. Will definitely recommend!
Favourite Japanese place in all of Sydney. I have tried soo many dishes on the menu and rarely have they disappointed. Friendly owner and great service. Quality of the food is amazing!! I recommend my favourite carppaccio, torinan, any sushi roll (they have amazing rolls even the simpler ones are a big hit on my books) and sukiyaki for a cold day!!! I recommend to book, ANY day of the week. It's a favourite with the locals and very popular with the regulars.
Never disappointed. Best Japanese this side of town. Good assortment of food. Not a Japanese place run by Koreans. So you won't find Kim chi or sweet rice here.
Park next to Beverly Hills station or in the streets.
This restaurant has improved over the years. Good selection on the menu and with good flavours. Portion size is slightly too small but it's a fairly good local Japanese restaurant. The sushi sashimi is always fresh, which is a plus. I'd be a happier customer if they increased the portion size.
Warm atmosphere and friendly staff members.
Small restaurant but seems to have a fair bit of customers.
Food is satisfactory. I ordered a beef don. The beef was sooo good, except i kind of wished they added some other stuff because it was only beef and rice.
But overall, definitely would visit again
The food here is nice and simple. The sushi was fresh and the teriyaki chicken was made nicely and not too saucy. The karaage chicken here comes with a nice tangy sauce and their udon is very comforting, reminding me of my time in Japan. It's a nice place to go that's not stuck in the hustle and bustle of the city
Really surprised at how promising this restaurant was. Took a chance since we were in the area and the restaurant was full for a reason.
Menu is pretty big, photos helped us in making our order.
The sea roll and eggplant was ok but the stand out was the carppaccio. Simple sashimi but dressed so well. Tangy, zesty sauce with not too much Mayo.
We also ordered the teriyaki set consisting of teriyaki chicken, crunchy potatoe croquettes, hot green tea, a bowl of rice, fresh salmon and king fish sashimi, miso soup a side of some beans. Really good value for money considering the amount of food that came out. They even gave us a second bowl of miso soup as service.
Overall the waitresses were really friendly and efficient. They came and checked up on us during the meal and cleared our plates as food came out.
Im glad that I don't have to search far for a good Japanese restaurant anymore. Will definitely be dining here again to try other dishes on their menu.
Love sushi bar hiro. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The sashimi was fresh and sliced to the perfect size. The dynamite roll (spicy tuna) was the hit. Generous pieces of fresh tuna and the perfect amount of heat from the chilli. I usually order udon at other sushi joints and the noodles are slimy and the broth tasteless. Not here, the veggies are not frozen and the broth has a pleasant taste.
This place has, hands down, the BEST seafood carpaccio I've ever had. The sauces in the dish just complements each other so well, it tastes awesome. Their 2 person menu is fairly good value with 3 entrees, 2 mains, rice, miso soup, your choice of drink and dessert for $73. We've come here heaps of times now and the place is always packed, so we always book beforehand. The rest of the menu, I would say is decent, the sashimi isn't that fresh sometimes - although its nice to sit by the sushi bar and watch the dishes being prepared! - and some of the mains are average. Honestly, the carpaccio is the star of the show (we've been getting two everytime!) and a bit of Ramune and green tea ice cream with cornflakes never hurts! Service is always warm and friendly, to be expected of the Japanese.
Yum!. Some of the best sushimi in Sydney and the chasoba salad is a must try. Staff are always great.
Very busy little restaurant. Food was great. First food order addressed very quickly, 2nd order took a long time with very apologetic waitresses. Good value for money...would visit again!
Very friendly service Food .... Very friendly service
Food is always great and consistent
Definitely going back again
Where have I been?. Second time round after our friend introduced this place a couple of months ago, we managed to get lucky a second time round not having booked a table, staff are pleasant, helpful, food is fantastic, authentic, fresh, substantial, my partner & I couldnt get enough of it, not to mention great value, glad we dont live far, next time will have to remember to book, well done!
Been coming here for 14 years, and it is one of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Sydney. We have a few favourites; the Chirashi Sushi, Agedashi Tofu, Karaage salad, and Hiro's Dynamite and Negishiromi rolls which are both no longer on the menu, but he will make it by special request. Hiro is from the Kansai region and much of his food retains a Kansai flavor, at least to my palate. I've never really considered the price or value as I only come because his food makes me happy and content.
Cute little restaurant you come to if youre with a couple friends. Love their udon.. theyre super soft like hand made unlike other places which texture is like rubber. Sashimi is good but not the best I've ever had. Overall their dishes are very flavoursome and price is quite on point for their quality. One of my fav Japanese restaurants definately.
Great local in cosy location. Food always fresh & delicious and has never disappointed us. Try Nasu Steak (eggplant), Sushi & Sashimi Combo and Tempura. Around $20 a head but well worthwhile.
Awesome eel. Love the love the eel and fresh sushi sashimi combo...
You need to know what you're choosing ^~^ Kalu Pacho, Cha soba salad, salmon teriyaki and the Jumbo crab salad is a good start!
My favourite japanese food! Everything is always fresh and delicious. Great prices and very friendly staff. The vegetable tempura is a must!
Awesome quality food. Could do something about the ambience. food is fresh and service is pretty good. they really have gone from good to really good over the years.
I have been here lately March 2018 and the ambience is still mellow and too quite for my twin toddlers. However the food is great. Tried the teriyaki chicken meal with miso. yummy, kids loved it too. The sushimi is always good and fresh.

Came again on thursday night (April 2018)with a girlfriend. we tried something completly new- the tempura chicken with tartare sauce, japenese chilli in a bath ofwhat i wished i drank after the meal was done. It was well seasoned and flavoured soup, the flovours just work so well together. Oh my god. i nearly wet my pants for this dish. i would never in a million years , think such a dish was out of the ordinary but it was the biggest surprise for us both. Next time Im ordering one just for me. picture added.
The best sushi in beverly hills. sushi is always fresh and reasonably priced. the lunch box is a good value. have returned numerous times and the food is always consistent although service during dinner can be on the slow side.
Authentic Japanese cuisine in Beverly Hills. Dinner sets great value and a big banquet for two for special occasions. Try the Tasman Roll.
