The deluxe sushi + sashimi is such good value. A great selection of fresh seafood presented beautifully!
Came here to try Japanese bbq which was okay, though the staff was very friendly and the other kinds of food was pretty nice. The restaurant can get pretty busy and noisy at times but overall not a bad place.
Been to different Manmaruya for many times which i cannot recall but never disappointed by the restaurant. The food and service are both amazing, has wide range of options for food. For Beverly Hills Manmaruya, I always recommend the set menu for 2-4 people as it could be the Japanese style BBQ that having the best value in Sydney from my experience.
Had a good experience here. We ordered one of the set menu things for 2-3 people, which was more than enough food. It came out quickly and was all fresh. The staff was lovely and accommodated to any need quickly.
While every Manmaruya is unique. Yes, there are other Manmaruya Restaurants, in fact there are 4 of them in Sydney, located in Campsie, Hurstville, Ashfield, and their newest is Beverly Hills. But this particular Manmaruya is especially unique than the rest, even they have a different menu here. This is because they offer Yakiniku or Japanese BBQ.
We had Beef Tongue and Pork Cheek which came seasoned ready to be barbecued. The meat was of good quality and tender. We also had Karaage Chicken, which always taste consistently good, and some mini Sushi rolls to keep the kids happy.
The only disappointment I had was when I made reservation once, but when we got there on time we were made to wait for an hour for our table. There were some people there that walked in withou reservation and got their table first. This happened only once, therefore I can consider this a one-off and hopefully won't happen again. But in saying that, I don't make reservation anymore in this place since the incident, I just walk in and wait like everyone else!
When we hungry folks were scouting out a good place for dinner along the streets of Beverley Hills, we decided to try out barbecue and we left with not a drop left of meat or disappointment. We were assigned to a table near the open window which we were unsure at first, but as the night went on, the seating placement was absolutely perfect for us. The smoke from the barbecue filters out the window and allows breathing room, my gratitude to the architect there. I also give my thanks to the delicious food at Manmaruya. While service can be hot and cold, it doesn't distract from the ingredients being the centre of attention. We ordered a Manmaruya Yakiniku plate and a Short Rib bento which both came relatively quickly. I can definitely say that the high price points for the banquets are justified, considering the bountiful amount of food that comes with each. All three of us were satisfied and beaming with glee at the end of the meal. The bento possesses a great variety of both barbecue and ready-to-eat foods to pass the time while waiting for the meat to cook. Their marinated short ribs are immaculate with the divine mixture of sweet and pepper that permeates throughout the juicy meat. All the ingredients are fresh with top-notch quality, each bite being a flavourful intermission between lively conversations. I would recommend bookings for dinner as the restaurant becomes very popular once the sun sets. So bring your friends along to the feast or if you're on your lonesome, treat yourself to Manmaruya's cure for sadness: Barbecue.
First time dining here and it definitely won't be the last. The food here is amazing, the meat is fresh and well marinated. The quality of ingredients used is very good. The service is fast even though they have limited staff they are also very friendly and helpful. I wish I had pictures to post but everything was so delicious I could not wait to eat it! I highly recommend booking even if you are visiting mid week as they get very busy.
This place is really lovely. The food is really really nice, there's a huge variety of dishes to choose, the wagyu was fantastic as were the creamy croquettes. The staff are super friendly and happy to see you, just a great experience all round. will definitely be back again!
Absolutely delicious food! The options are great and the food is fresh and clean. However, the pricing is a bit too expensive and the staff aren't 100% welcoming but other than that a nice experience for food.
One of the best Japanese BBQ restaurants in south Sydney
We went there for Mother's Day celebration for our family. The food was absolutely amazing. Friendly staffs and friendly owner!!! Family Love it!!!! Personal favourite is the yukke (raw beef)!!!! Will definitely come back again!!!!!
Been to this restaurant quite frequently over the past year. Meat cuts are fresh and flavourful. I enjoy their ala carte side dishes for a low price of $9.90. Recommend the short rib, ox tongue and pork cheek. Try to ring beforehand for booking as the place gets crowded.
