We dined at 1:00 on a Sunday.
There was a wonderful space to sit over looking the water, or many spaces available in the dining room upstairs, which looked like a converted shed. It was appropriately coastal and rustic.

We got the 15$ Calamari Box (6 calamari, they could add some more for the price you pay) and the 20$ Kingfish Fish&Chips.
They advertise themselves as an award winning Fish&Chips, and I totally agree with that.

Great fish and chips, but the wait was a bit long. I liked that you could pick from lots of different kinds of fish and they had all the classic extras too. Delicious!
Honestly, this is hands down the best fish and chips place in Tasmania. A lot of people will swear by the expensive flashy places, but honestly, keep it nice and simple and it usually turns out to be the best. This place doesn't try make the food fancy and does not spend a fortune on advertising. So

The venue is awsome, rustic and right on the water. Any closer and you'd be swimming.

I went to the shop that replaced the deli (near the pharmacy and slaty splash), $20 for 3 small pieces of fish and some chips. The fish and chips were very nice but not worth $20. The two workers had no gloves on even the lady taking orders, handling cash and the money machine then going to package
