First visit yesterday with a womens grp, the food was amazingly presented, very artistic, we ordered the falafels, so disappointing, as so very dry and hard to cut, and eat, mentioned to waitress who was helpful and bought out tahini and yoghurt to put on top but really was still far to over cooked to eat. The pancakes looked divine, as did other dishes on our table. My client had a soy chai latte which she said was the best she’s ever had .
I love this place! Their mushroom ragu with poached egg is by far the best brekkie ever! I enjoyed introducing this place to my husband today as he recommended it to me as he always passes by it and he was spot on right!
Can't wait to try lunch here!
Brought a few sweets this morning. Omg.... 10/10 Delicious. Coffee was spot on aswell. So refreshing to finally find a local cafe that has top quality food. Cant wait to be back.
My favorite place to go on a Saturday morning. The breakfast is always delicious and the coffee is amazing!! Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere
Without doubt the best eggs Benedict/ breakfast I've ever had. Absolutely amazing!
From start to finish a wonderful breakfast. Love the coffee and breakfast has to be experienced!!! Great start the the day.
I pre-ordered the Brunch Pack off Aunt Billies for Father's Day last weekend, and it was amazing! Could not recommend more! Friendly staff too!
Visited for the second time a few weeks ago, and the food was just as great as the first time I came. The menu on Zomato and google needs updating, but no faults with the actual cafe or restaurant. Dog friendly too :)
The food was amazing, the service was friendly, they go beyond to bring satisfaction
Can’t wait to get back here.
Walked past this cute little coffee shop and decided to dine in, it is such a cozy and wonderful environment! Tried their new tiramisu hotcakes which is amazing! 10/10 would revisit again.
I have been to aunt billies a few times, pre and during covid and the boys are lovely! You are always greeted with a happy face no matter the situation and the coffee that comes out of here is second to none! If you are keen for a burger or even a salad, there has never been a disappointing meal from Aunt Billies, I highly recommend checking them out!
Lovely coffee, beautiful food, and good service. Perfect for brunch. Have been visiting weekly for a while, getting takeaways during covid, well worth the trip.
Grabbed a juice and smoothie bowl from here via Uber Eats. Great quality ingredients and you could tell it had been made super fresh. Reasonably priced too
Beautiful breakfast. The cured salmon is fresh. Coffee is sensational and so smooth. Service is excellent. Great morning ta.
Having so many great options popping up in Blackburn, it really is a testament to Aunt Billies Cafe for standing out above the pack! I love the fact that they have ample outdoor seating that is comfortable year round and dog friendly! Unbelievable food choices on the menu and I'll always order a coffee or iced chocolate to take away. Simply amazing!
Offering a distinctly Middle-Eastern twist to their dishes, we found everything we sampled perfectly executed and we’ll thought out. With complimentary flavours and contrasting textures, all at a reasonable price point, Aunt Billie’s is a must visit when in Melbourne’s East.
One of the east’s most popular suburbs, Aunt Billies café draws in the crowd with a stunning brunch offering.
Aunt Billies cafe has been around for a few years and continues to be an excellent place for locals to meet up over robust coffee and great food. We were invited to try out some of their menu items.
We had:
Super bowl - this was one of the prettiest cafe dishes I have ever laid eyes on. It was chock full of good stuff - beetroot, edamame, watermelon, avocado and a whole host of other goodies. The dish was tasty enough but the side dressing elevated it a notch.
Chicken burger - this was huge! The beetroot brioche bun was something different. The 2 generous chicken pieces had a lovely crunchy coating. Even the beer battered fries were chunky. It was a very fulfilling meal.
The ice coffee and soy mocha were delicious. There were strong, bold coffee flavours and they were both not overly sweet.
Love your work, Aunt Billies!
Stopped by here on the weekend for brunch with a girlfriend and boy did Aunt Billies live up to the expectations! We had the Harissa Scrambled and Mediterranean brunch dishes and boy did they taste good! Not only were they decent sizing but all the ingredients were so fresh and everything worked perfectly together. Great coffee too and couldn’t fault the service! Hope to be back one day 😍
Great service. Brought the family here. Were accommodating for a young child. Great flavours in their dishes that are not your usual run of the mill cafe food. Will return!
Superb n friendly service greets us. It was quite a crowd, lucky we got the last table. Orders were taken in and food came within 10”. The highlight were the awesome coffee and chicken burger on beetroot bun. Mushroom dish and Pancake for the kids were enjoyable. The only let down was the hot chocolate. I find it too ordinary. Need to be improved. Last but not least, must take away one of the amazing cakes. We got pistachio raspberry. We definitely will be back for a visit next time.
Friendly staff, great selection and beautiful place to sit on a nice day. Only small let down was the flavour palette - not as flavourful and a bit plain.
Otherwise, really good place!
First time here for a meal and we really enjoyed it. So tasty and great service made it even better
Visited aunt billies today and I must say I was very very impressed. The service was great and the staff were very helpful and helped me pick what to eat. The food was unreal and I thoroughly recommend getting the chicken salad. Coffee was also a stand out. Definitely top in the business and I’ll be for sure returning !!!
Lovely spot with no much hustle.
Friendly service, food is good and the coffee is great!!
The atmosphere here is amazing to start of with. I sat outside even though it was a bit chilly, but because their outdoor area has heaters I didn’t even need to wear my jacket which was great.
The Knefe French toast was great, would have liked it if there was less cornflakes as it overpowered the actual toast but the combination of the pistachio praline and the rose water syrup really worked.
The chilli scrambled eggs was a dream - beautifully presented it really did taste as good as it looked. Can’t wait to come back!
SO GOOD. I never review but the beef brisket benedict is one of the BEST things I have ever eaten. I KID YOU NOT my friend and I devoured it so quickly we didn’t even get a proper photo. The service was lovely and it was super busy (now we know why) the hot cakes were good and filling but the beef brisket benedict will bring me back over and over again.
It was a dreary windy Sunday late afternoon when my friend and I decided to go for late lunch.
I had passed by this cafe many times when I lived in the area but never got the chance to try it. Now that I've moved away from the area, it had clicked that I should really visit Aunt Billie's and it was the best choice every! Definitely 5 star rating in terms of food quality, customer service and venue.
🔆LOCATION🔆
Aunt Billie's Cafe is situated right next to One Church on Surrey Road near the corner of Whitehorse Road intersection. You can easily pass by the cafe as it is an extension of the Church. The Church itself is quite a modern building. There is plenty of open space parking on the premise.
From the outside you cant tell that the cafe is spacious, but once you walk inside there is a nice friendly laid-back vibe. There is an indoor covered area which would definitely be great space when the weather is much warmer it sit outside. Indoor area is has white coloured ceilings, with black edging and the wall lined with warm beige coloured wood planks.
🔆SERVICE🔆
Our waitress was a lovely brunette (hair tied back) middle aged lady with a fabulous smile. She had such amazing customer service throughout the whole time we were at the cafe. As we were stuck on what to order as everything looked soo great on the menu, she went through some of the items in detail to help us make our final decision.
Even when she came to clear that plate, she told us that a new menu would be coming out with some exciting dishes. So for your reference the food that we ordered when we visited most likely would not be on their new menu anymore. I'd forgotten to ask for her name but high praises to her for great service!!
We stayed out to chat further and because it was getting rather chilling in the outdoor covered area, I wandered inside and asked our waitress if we could move to a table inside so we could order some drinks and cakes. She happily ushered us in and took our orders. I asked for my hot chocolate to be extra hot, she came back and asked me to try if its hot enough, if not she can take it back to make it hotter. But my drink was perfect!
I had walked up to the counter to have a look at the displays of cakes and asked the young Asian boy what kind of chocolate cake is it but unfortunately he didn't know and asked the elderly man whom I think is the main barista and cashier who quickly told me that its a chocolate walnut cake. I decided to order it because it looked pretty good.

🔆VERDICT🔆
It was my first time having an Ham Hock dish and interestingly enough it worked. The ham hock is naturally salty and the poached egg, apple puree really helped balance and lighten the flavour of the meat. The sesame brioche was light, soft and fluffy, absolutely a great complement to the dish.
My lunch partner had the Green Goddess with cured salmon. The cured salmon was made to perfection, it was soo soo tasty. She really enjoyed the lightness of all the ingredients and loved the Danish fetta with the warm wild rice.
My first time to try a beetroot late and I was suprised it had ginger in it. I thought there would be more of a beetroot taste but I didnt mind the ginger, had a nice zing to it.
As we had a late lunch by the time we finished, the cafe was 80% empty which was good in a way as it was more relaxing to chat. We moved from the outdoor covered area to the inside as it was getting a bit chilly and continued on our chat by ordering my drinks and a chocolate cake with caramelized walnut. The cake was moist but dense. It wasnt heavy. It was a great way to finish off our meals.
My hot chocolate was made perfectly. It wasnt too heavy and as I ordered it extra hot. it definitely came as extra hot which was great!
We enjoyed our lunch at Aunt Billie's and I will definitely return to try their new menu.
A beautiful cafe in Blackburn, delicious menu and friendly staff. Great breakfast, brunch and lunch options whether you are looking for a healthy option or to treat yourself. The hotcake is always a delicious treat to share and I love the Jerusalem bowl when looking for something a little more nutritious.
Great local cafe! The Jerusalem Bowl was nice and fresh, loaded with vegetables. The coffee was well made and the service was nice and relaxed. Can't wait to come back.
A hidden gem in the heart of Blackburn. Every time I visit I get flawless coffee and great food. Love chilling in their courtyard with friends on weekends. A true favourite of mine!
A very good place for family or friend gathering in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Good coffee, good food and friendly services! Highly recommended!

Love the décor and welcoming vibe at Aunt Billie's! The team is super friendly :)
I had a delicious Soy Flatty, and the vegan version of Billie's Garden. Such a unique dish! With pumpkin hummus, falafel, breadsticks, avo mousse and lots of veggies yay! Flavours were great.
I love the courtyard too. Great to sit in any weather as there are heaters and blinds etc. Would definitely return to try a few more of the vegan options!
Came here with my mum, can not be disappointed with there beef burger by far the best one I’ve had in a long time!! Service was impeccable besides one waiter looking as if he didn’t want to be there and another not speaking up, other then that they were all singing to their music bringing good atmosphere to the cafe
Food was amazing, bright and colourful and super yummy. The staff were all so friendly too and came to check on us often to see how everything was.
Definitely recommend this cafe. I had the bruschetta on special and it was delicious! Thank you!

Absolutely loved this little cafe! The pancakes were delicious as well as the goodness bowl. Definitely recommend both of these! We will be back again 😬

Another beautiful family run cafe hidden in the heart of Blackburn!
I wish I had known about this cafe sooner. The space is modern, warm and inviting. I loved the massive display of sweets on offer to enjoy either with a coffee or after brunch! There were a wide variety of vegetarian options on the menu which was awesome
I enjoyed the food & drinks here thoroughly!
Flat white with soy milk: Lovely coffee
Billies garden: Exactly what I was craving, some garden goodness! This dish was so fresh and filled with vegetables which I loved. The stand out of the dish for me was the falafel, which was flavoursome and had a great crunch to it.
Jerusalem bowl: This was ordered by my friend. I didn't try it but she enjoyed it thoroughly. I loved the array of colour and vibrancy that came from all of the different vegetables
French toast: What a sweet way to finish brunch. I enjoyed the sweetness of the dish, with some savoury notes from the pistachio crumb. The fairy floss on top was a bit of fun, especially for kids!
The staff were very friendly, and energetic. The cafe is a family business, with sons and fathers all working together which was awesome to see.
Aunt Billies is a family owned spacious cafe in the heart of Blackburn. The hustle and bustle of a busy Sunday is no stranger to its staff. They were more than you could ask for and were very prompt in terms of service and hospitality. Having both inside and undercover outside dining, it was extremely versatile for all diners.
My usually batch brew came on a wooden board with cute metal pot and mug. It was also decorated with coffee beans, which I think was a sweet touch and a fresh way to plate such a simple coffee. The attention to detail was noticed and highly appreciated by both myself and my brunch partner.
At this brunch, I went for what they call the Jerusalem Bowl. This comes with grilled broccolini, pumpkin hommus, cucumber, carrot, falafel, kale, spinach, avocado & a poached egg, with a pomegranate dressing. It came out and I was in love with the bright, vibrant colours. But to add to that, the falafel was perfectly crisp. It was this falafel that elevated my dish, along with the pumpkin hommus. If I had to narrow it down it was these two elements that made the dish so good. All the vegetables were fresh and juicy. I also loved that they were spiralled to mix up the plating and make it fun and interesting.
My brunch partner went for the Billies Garden dish which came with roasted pumpkin, edamame beans, falafel, avocado mousse, pumpkin hommus, miso mayo, pine nuts and a poached egg that was sprinkled with dukkah. She also agreed with me, stating that the falafel was the highlight of the dish. Both of us also agreed that the dishes were perfectly seasoned and balanced, allowing all the elements to shine in their own ways.
The French toast dish on the menu was calling our name, so we couldn’t say no and finished our brunch with a dash of sweetness. Served with cinnamon sugar, pistachio crumb, berry coolie, condensed milk, orange segments and fairy floss. It was full of sweetness. I especially loved the addition of the fairy floss on top. It is also important to note that all three of these dishes were vegetarian. With vegan and gluten free options also being available on other dishes, making this cafe adaptable for any requirements.
That always gets an A+ in my books. It was on my way out that I noticed the beautiful cakes in the front cabinet, that I will have to come back and taste test!
A beautiful cafe whose owners were nothing but lovely, it was the perfect environment for a Sunday brunch and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fresh, healthy and nutritious brunch spot.
The staff are friendly .. my friend ordered the breakfast broad which come with sweet and savoury also an OJ.. it suits people who is indecisive about what for brunch . Mine is the Billie garden.
School holiday time means it’s brunch time! Took one of my best friends to this cute little brunch spot. I loved the bright and open vibe this cafe has.
It’s got lots of natural light and has a warm and welcoming feel.
We couldn’t be any happier with the dishes and loved the cute latte art! The staff here were lovely and very friendly.
I would come back here especially for the coffee!
I came here to have brunch with my friends recently. The venue is quite big and cozy, the staff really attentive and friendly.
I ordered a shakshuka from their menu and it's probably the best one I ever had, Extremely rich in favor and perfectly combined with the Haloumi. It made me quite full but there was still room for their Bahamas smoothie. My friend had a French toast and that was amazing as well!
All in all a great brunch experience, the food was so good! I will come back for sure.
My daughter saw the French Toast from here posted on Facebook and wanted to come try it and it was every bit as delicious as the photos make it look! Soft, fluffy bread that was nice and sweet. The orange segments were perfect to balance the flavours, it's a real standout dessert dish!
We also had baked eggs, which were full of flavour and had perfect, runny yolks. Overall both dishes were great.
We sat inside but they do have a really nice, encolsed outdoor area that would be perfect on a sunny day.
Great vibrant cafe, hidden away in Blackburn. Efficient and great service with friendly staff. The Cauliflower Pancake is unreal. It sounds like an interesting mix but it will blow your mind. I will be back for sure, I guarantee this is a must visit and a must try dish!
Pretty happy with this find. If you're looking for a Ruben and in the area, they've got the best around. Plus the coffee here is killer too. Service was friendly and most importantly for freezing winter, the place is warm and cozy!
Rueben Kings!! This was the best Rueben sandwich I have ever had! I have already told all of my Facebook friends about how good it was and now thought it would also be a good idea to also tell the Zomato world! Go, Go, Go - You may even see me there sneaking another Rueben and I guarantee to be visiting at least once per week for this bad boy!
Absolutely loved this place! The food was fresh and not to mention healthy. I’m all about healthy eating and this place had me covered. I loved the salads 😍 the service was great; and the staff super friendly! Would definitely visit again!
Ordered the shakshuka and acai smoothy. Both were fabulous and would highly recommend. The venue itself is quite large with seating inside and out. Both pet and child friendly.
Great location. Great food. Great Service.
The food and drinks came out within ten minute of ordering and it taste absolutely amazing.
Highly recommend for anyone as a wide variety of food is available and looks amazing aswell!!
One of the BEST Ruben sandwiches I have had! I am a big fan of the Ruben when it is done correctly and AB is definitely one of those place that know how to do it correctly! Cannot fault both the food and the service!
Servers here are incredibly attentive and the place runs with factory-like efficiency. Food comes out super quick, hot and really delicious! It was cold and dreary outside, it was any thing but indoors :)
Are you in Blackburn, and looking for a nice touristy, city style cafe for a breakfast or brunch, or piece of sweet; then don't waste time, put Aunt Billies in SatNav and drive there for a good joy.
Hope this helps.
Had breakfast here and it was pretty tops. Service was great, and the mushrooms and poached egg dish that I had was delicious. Look forward to returning.
My dentist recommended I try this place and wow am I glad I did. I ordered the diced avocado and was expecting some standard avo on sourdough toast but it was so much more than that. Thanks for a great meal and service, keep it up!
Omg love this vibrant and fresh kale salad with smoked salmon (optional add on). It tasted fresh and looked absolutely amazing, look at those colours! Yummo, the watermelon juice also added a nice touch for brunch!
Been here many times and I can’t believe I haven’t left a review!
Fav dish - cauliflower fritters are crispy, the accompaniments all complement one another.
New dish on the menu (pictured)- mushroom medley. I usually must have protein (meat or eggs) with my meal, but this one blew me away! Mushroom steaks were generous and the yoghurt and relish complemented the dish and cuts the richness of the mushrooms. Yum!
Love coffee here and for something different, try the chai latte- they use Prana chai leaves!
Friendly service, and definitely pet friendly. No surprise it’s always busy everyday of the week.
The coffee here is consistently great. The staff are friendly and remember your order. Parking is particularly difficult on Sunday mornings.
Went here recently I got the Canadian twist and my friend got the hotcakes. I’ve never had bacon & eggs on a sweet waffle with maple syrup before. It was really good. However after a while I think it was too sweet. Maybe too much maple syrup. But it was still very good. My friend liked her pancakes but also couldn’t finish them because they were too sweet. The staff were very friendly & they had a great variety of options on there menu.

Cute cafe with an outdoor area. We had egg benedict, ocean trout and burger. I really like the ocean trout dish , very fresh. The food were quiet good. Their coffee was also great.
Really great brunch place! I was looking for a place near home that U had not been to and this one came up. So I went I went off and I noticed that there was plenty of parking available and I was taken aback by available space that offered indoor and outdoor. It was very appealing. The service was warm and friendly when we talked about the food here no doubt! It was so amazing. The food arrived quickly and it tasted as good as it looked and the coffee was great. The overall atmosphere was fantastic. Will definitely be back!
This place has a really huge serving of meals. They are always busy so recommend to avoid the peak hour. They have lots of big tables which is suitable for a group of friends and family. The green juice was delicious and those mini cakes were a big hit amongst the interstates and international guests. Y'all should try it.
Had the Mushroom Bruschetta -- would highly recommend it! Great coffee too. The staff were very attentive and polite. Will definitely go back soon.
i called back into Aunt Billies recently with family visiting from NSW & NZ. We ordered drinks and mini cakes to share on what was a relatively quiet morning in the build up to Christmas. Service was good but tragically I got the double whammy of my drink arriving last and my order being wrong. Soy latte instead of a skinny one.
Hint: write it down if you can’t remember 5 different drink orders.
The green juice was delicious and those mini cakes were a big hit amongst the interstates and international guests.

Sunny morning today and the outside diners got to soak up all the rays at Aunt Billies Cafe in Blackburn. We sat inside at the couples tables radiating out from the curved wood featured walls that make up one side of this aesthetic building.
We ordered hot drinks first up with my coffee (St Ali Orthodox blend) being a good hit. KD was a little unimpressed with her chai which was apparently quite bland despite being steeped for quite a while. Lactose free milk was available here which is great to see.
I was feeling like a sweet brunch today so went for the berry and lemon meringue pancakes and KD the trout bruschetta from the specials menu.
My pancakes were inspired and the lemon curd almost as good as the home made stuff KD does. I loved the inclusion of chocolate and how about half was melty and the other half crunchy. The mini meringues had a bite to them and I found I had little difficulty polishing off the lot.
KD enjoyed her trout bruschetta, with a creamy horseradish base, smoked trout and pickled zucchini zoodles, what a fabulous combination of flavours, it was a real hit.
Also a delight was the Pick Me Up juice which was a watermelon heavy blend of watermelon, pineapple, strawberry, lemon and mint.
A very enjoyable brunch.
WoW this place is a must, the place is funky, the service is fantastic, very attentive, lots of smiles, an innovative menu, I had a turmeric late and a nourish bowl which was to die for, did I mention the coffee, just fabulous, I am addicted
I will be back ❤️❤️❤️
4.3.
This is an excellent cafe that gets all the fundamentals right. It has an excellent menu, space, food and service. It is easily the best cafe in the area from what I’ve seen so far, particularly in the North Blackburn and Nunawading areas.
First off, it’s a decently styled light filled cafe. It’s well designed and laid out. It has interesting shapes and textures throughout including a light wood feature wall, numerous funky light fittings and a good number of tables. There’s also a decent sized and shaded outdoor area.
They have a very good hipster style menu here. There are stacks of good choices, both healthy and not so healthy. The nieces and nephews section of the menu is undeniably cute. I started with a sumptuous long black served on a cute board with a tiny glass of sparkling water. This was as pretty as a picture. Lovely St Ali coffee on offer here. It’s hard to start a meal better for mine than having coffee of this quality.
I ordered the brunch salad with grilled broccolini, broad beans, kale, avocado, beetroot hummus, walnuts and quinoa with pomegranate dressing. I added salmon and poached egg and feta ($2 only). The dish was well presented and was absolutely delicious. It’s a very healthy dish and a good sized serve. I couldn’t fault it. I thought it was a brilliant dish and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Service was excellent throughout. The staff were up and about. Attentive, polite and efficient.
This is a terrific cafe. It would give a few highly rated inner city brunch places a run for their money on what I saw today.
Beautiful little brunch place in Blackburn with a lovely outdoor space where we chose to sit as the weather was fine. The service was friendly and always with a smile. We ordered a cappuccino ($4) and a freshly squeezed oj (overpriced at $6.5). Then I ordered the 184 burger and the Surrey mushrooms. The burger was great, very filling and the chips were perfect - cripsy and not oily. The Surrey mushrooms was a smaller vegetarian dish; the polenta was nice and the mushrooms were done right, but I wouldn't recommend if you were looking for something more filling. Lovely place to visit if you're in the area.
We came into Aunt Billies and sat outside which I am happy to say is dog friendly
For our late brunch meal we ordered the breakfast salad, the 12 hour lamb shoulder , and the cauliflower pancake. The brunch salad was surprisingly my favourite meal , something like this usually doesn’t appeal to me but I just loved the combination of fresh greens ( broad beans , kale , Avo etc) the addition of the salmon and poached egg really lifted the dish
The 12 hour lamb shoulder had great flavour but we did find the meat a tad dry, the addition of haloumi was fantastic, I highly recommend
The cauliflower pancake resembled a potato hash and with the addition of the salsa and bacon this dish was also a crowd pleaser, we especially loved the crème fraise on the plate and incorporated with all of our meals ( with the lamb and also in the salad ) so good
Thanks for having us
I have driven past this cafe over a hundred times and never thought to try it as it seemed to be part of a church. I was looking for a place near home that I had not been to and this one came up on Zomato, so off we went.
There was plenty of parking available and I was taken aback by the available space that offered indoor, outdoor and semi-outdoor and very appealing as well.
The service was warm and friendly and the food arrived quickly and it tasted as good as it looked. I finished every morsel incl my wife who normally never does. To top it off the coffee was great.
We can now make this place a regular haunt. It is a family business as well, which we would like to support.
Aunt Billies is a great cafe with many delightful meals to select. I had the Veggie Billie and my mother had the Cauliflower Pancakes and both were delicious. We will always be coming back!
We were invited to Aunt Billies for breakfast yesterday and were able to brunch outside in the sunshine. We started with a St Ali cold drip and a pick me up fresh juice. The watermelon and pineapple combo was most refreshing in the warm weather.
Food wise hubby got the breakfast salad with the poached eggs and feta. A very healthy choice indeed. I think he was a bit sad when he saw my stunning hotcakes as they truly were magnificent. Three thick fluffy delights topped with passionfruit curd and lime mascarpone. Caramelised pineapple and coconut macadamia crumb rounded out this heavenly dish. Having this tropical flavour combination as opposed to a rich chocolatey one felt much lighter and is really nice coming in to the warmer weather.
It was great to see a super bustling cafe so close to home. We would definitely come back and as someone who eats out on average seven times a week it’s a real mark of exceptional when I’d actually return
Love the look and feel of this place and the coffee is made just the way I love it. Strong and smooth :) I ordered the Veggie Billie as I was opting for something a little on the healthy side and it was amazing! Will definitely be back to try the pancakes
I have been here many times and it is always great food. the customer service here is great too. Highly recommend if you live in the area to check it out!

Such a cute cafe with a lovely outdoor area! Had the brunch bowl which was so delicious and the panna cotta for dessert which was fairly bland. The staff were incredibly friendly and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. Will definitely be back!
Have always past this cafe and finally had the chance to eat here with my friends. The place is very nice & modern, the staff very friendly & accommodating. Our waitress Jenny was so lovely & sweet, made sure we were looked after. I had the Veggie Billie & it was delicious as was my turmeric latte. Will definitely come again and I highly recommend this lovely cafe.
A large group of friends booked for lunch here today. Six different selections were made from their menu and to a person everyone enjoyed their lunch. As we had booked once we arrived juice was provided to those who wanted it, freshly squeezed and lovely tasting and before we knew it our meals were starting to arrive. As we are not from the area, it unsure when we will be there again but it is defernently a place we would eat at again 9/10. They lost a point due to the wind in the annex eating area.
I am a fuss pot when it comes to coffee. But Aunt Billies exceeded my expectations. The overall ambience of the café is warm and cosy, and the staff are great. For those of you who like a trendy menu that's a little bit 'extra', this is the place for you.
We enjoy a couple of the robust flat whites, lovely atmosphere both indoor/outdoors and nice presentation of dishes. Overall a very nice experience!

How exciting it is when brunch comes to the suburbs, those without tram lines! For years it seemed something of inner suburbs, with limited parking, but here comes Aunt Billies. Located just off Whitehorse Rd, with plenty of parking. Also an easy walk from the station on a sunny morning. With a modern interior with airy ceilings, and a trendy vibe it's nothing like no other cafes in the area, one of the very first brunchy places in the area.
Good food, great atmosphere and superb location, will be back.
I enjoyed the chicken burger out chilli, definitely worth a try.
The reason I haven’t given 5 stars is because I didn’t really rate the coffee
First thing i realised as i stepped in is the cosy and warm atmosphere with lots of families and kids around. It was a busy Sunday morning and the staff were running around trying to make sure everyone is attended to. My matcha latte finally ariived after a bit of wait but a little disappointing as it was a bit watery. My husband's flat white was good though so overall alright. We didn't order food but next time around I might just get another non-matcha coffee instead.
Local restaurant for my family, and nice for brunch. Service is good, prices are reasonable, sunny setting, staff are courteous, and food is generally good. But with one exception. If you order eggs on toast, be prepared for the crusts on the toast requiring a chain saw to cut them! This is not a one off problem as we have been several times over a period, complained each time, and nothing changes. Sad, as I am sure other people have replicated that criticism.
This cafe has a nice spacious fit-out with a great outdoor eating area on warm sunny days. The food here is pretty consistent and presented nicely. Service was ok, however not the best we have experienced before. If you live locally to Blackburn, we would recommend giving this place a go as there isn't too much to lose.
This cafe is very nice. They serve St. Ali’s coffee here and it is really good, the baristas here do a great job. It is always consistent. The staff are friendly and attentive when needed. In terms of price, it is a bit above average but when you have some of the lunch items you don’t mind paying for it. In particular, the calamari is wonderful as is the salad brunch/lunch bowl. I highly recommend this place and will be back to go through the menu.
Love this place. Have been numerous times now, food is always nice and fresh and staff are always friendly. The cafe has a very nice ambiance to it! definitely cant recommend this place enough.
Checked out this cafe with a bunch of friends for brunch. Great service, coffee and range of healthy food! A good one if you’re around the area.
Aunt Billies Cafe is an interior designers delight, and the menu is a delight too with offerings for vegetarian and gluten free mummas. Plenty of space for prams outside and nice coffee too! @plantbasedmum_
Service was fast and efficient. Food arrived quickly. Beautiful presentation and flavours were a hit. Definitely a nice hidden meeting spot in Blackburn right next to the church. Seating area had a lot of small tables. Would recommend booking if you have a larger number. Take away coffee and cake available with a nicely mini selection. Would definitely come again. Well done!
What a great find! I loved the ambience - just right to be able to hear each other but not hear other tables. Very tempting selection of cakes. Great coffee and service. Add this to my list of cafes to come back to!
Great cafe that's always busy! Easy to find, next to a Church. They have tables inside and outside to cater for those with fur babies. Food is delicious and they have a food range. Parking in the car park is limited but there is ample parking on the main road. Service for food is relatively quick despite being busy.
Sunday brunch should be so fulfilling, enriching and sumptuous that it can’t give you Monday Blues! @auntbilliescafe at Blackburn is a lovely breakfast/brunch spot that has all the right food and beverages to recharge you for the rest of the week.
What we had:
French toast, which is so out of the world, tasty, has so many layers to make it impossibly irresistible, served with brioche toast coated in cornflakes, rhubarb purée, boysenberry mascarpone, pistachio crumb and vanilla icecream. Strongly recommended.
Surrey Mushrooms, such a mouthwatering and a fresh bowl of so many different types of mushrooms, spinach, crispy polenta, basil pesto, buffalo mozzarella, poached eggs. I really loved this one more, because of it’s satisfying taste. Must try.
Lamb Shoulder, such an incredibly delicious lunch dish that’s not just very filling but the combination of herb crusted eggplant with 12hr slow cooked lamb shoulder, turned out to be simply divine. Packed with so much flavours of capsicum purée, dukkah confit, garlic labne, burnt sage, butter and toasted baguette. The taste of this dish still lingers in my mind since it’s so refreshing. Strongly recommended.
Helena smoothie, so filling and tasted very refreshing.
Latte was perfectly brewed with an intense flavour. Loved it.
The best thing about their dishes that these are very well presented yet tastes absolutely fantastic and yum. The prices of the menu items are very standard, and the service is very prompt even on a busy weekend morning.
They vibe here is very relaxing, with a spacious outdoor and indoor seating area. Perfect spot to stop for a bite over coffee.
So guys visit today @auntbilliescafe that knows how to do the right brunch/breakfast/coffee for you.
Another local brunch gem located on Blackburn road. 💫They have a wide range of both breakfast and lunch menu with indoor and outdoor (sheltered) seatings 🍃😋
The food here was mouthwatering!! The beef rib was nice and tender whereas the chicken bao stood out the most!! 🤩💯 The chicken was perfectly marinated and was absolutely flawless. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! 👌
Aunt Billies is where you need to go on the weekend to get your brunch fix ‼️ This cute brunch spot is located 3 mins drive 🚘 / 10ish mins walk 🏃🏻♀️ from Blackburn train station
We got:
🍳 Beef Ribs Benedict - This is the ultimate classic, can-never-go-wrong dish that was soo tasty! The beef ribs were so tender and the portion they gave was massive 🤯 The potato hash underneath the meat was crispy on the outside with soft inside, fresh from the fryer and a perfect texture contrast to the soft meat.
🦐 Seafood Risotto - We never had risotto for brunch before so this was a treat! The seafood tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. The risotto had the right texture, not too soft with a bite to it 😋 Definitely something different that we’d have again!
☕️ Latte - A must for every brunch! We both ordered the same drinks cause it was rainy on the day and just wanted some warmth from a yummy cuppa.
They also had some cute looking baked goods, definitely should get some next time! 😋 Overall, we enjoyed our time here and we recommend you to come & try their dishes! 🤩
Aunt Billies Cafe is a hidden brunch spot in Blackburn located right next to a church.
It has a super cozy ambience & also a cute shaded outdoor area ☀️ I’d highly recommend the beef ribs benedict! The ribs were SOOO tender & full of flavour.
Definitely your go-to brunch spot for local quality meals, especially if you’re in the the Blackburn and Nunawading areas.
Had breakfast here, and ordered Harissa Scrambled. Love it! It’s basically a pimped up scrambled egg with lots of toppings like avocados, potato wedges, pomegranate, fried shallots etc.
The flavour worked well. Definitely come back for more.
