Love, love, love Charlottes corner!
It is my go to place after the gym for an amazing brunch!
The coffee is always so good and my personal favourites are the berry granola and the eggs Benedict š¤¤š¤¤
Always very friendly service here!
A must try!
Went here recently with a friend. Itās a cute corner cafe & has nice seating out the back on sunny days. We sat out the back & there was a cool mural there. I got the open souvlaki which was on the specials menu & my friend got the chilli scramble which was on the regular menu. The lady who served us was really nice & friendly. Made a few jokes with us. The food came out pretty fast. My friend really liked the scrambled eggs. Wasnāt too hot for her. I liked my open souvlaki but I was a little hungry still when I left. The meat was ok, wasnāt very succulent.
So I came here today and wanted to order the mushroom forest. However, mushroom was sold out. The staff was so kind to have offered me that they could get some mushroom for me if Iām happy to wait for a bit. I waited- not even long, prob just a few mins. And it tasted so good. Very happy with the service and food. Thank you!
Quick and friendly service, food was beautifully presented, and taste was lovely too. We got the sweetcorn fritter stack and maple bacon egg benedict. Definitely worth a visit!
Awesome smashed avocado that was a little Mexican inspired with the addition of pico de gallo and chipotle sauce! A really enjoyable dish that has left me wanting to return ASAP āŗļø
Prices are pretty cheap for Blackburn; service is friendly and non-intrusive.
Love what they did with the #egg #waffle Itās a nice balance with the sweet of vanilla ice scream and sourness of the fruits. Pistachio crumble as addition to texture. Itās a small cute cafe in the corner, staffs are friendly too :)
Gorgeous corner cafe in Blackburn, with a whimsical theme. Coffee by Conical, and a wholesome menu with some delicious breakfast options like the sweetcorn fritters. Kudos to Amy, the ever gorgeous chef.
Lovely find! Charlotte Burger 2.0 was yum! Totally loved the Forest Mushroom too, which came with assortment of tasty mushrooms, torn bread and egg. But forgot to take a pic. Breakfast quesadilla was hearty too. Good value indeed as items were all below $20.
Really great food and service highly recommend super friendly vibe great for families definitely going back I enjoyed the food a lot and highly recommend getting a fresh juice on a hot day
Excellent service from the waitress she was very kind and efficient in serving us and showed professionalism. I also appreciate the food and will come here very often.
Love love love coming here! Has a great vibe and the yummiest food, wonderful customer service and a cute cozy feel to it! The sweet corn fritters are my favorite by far. I got the forest mushrooms and the amigos in this photo :)
Enjoyed a nice causal brunch date with my dad at Charlotteās Corner. This place is great for people with children especially the outdoor area at the back. The food here is VERY generous! We left holding our bellies! I love a good egg waffle pancake and this one here brings me back to the ones Iāve had in Hong Kong. The service is great and the staff are very friendly. I really enjoyed the coffee here as well, the lattes were done perfectly. If you are in the area I would defiantly recommend this cute cafe!
Lovely cafe near neighborhood. Food is simple but did very well which is not that easy. Coffee is strong and favourable. I love the poached egg. It is so soft and moist
A great corner cafe in Blackburn. It's become the Weekly Sunday cafe for me. The food is great service is excellent and the atmosphere is calming. Definitely a recommendation.
One of my fav cafes in Blackburn, the interior is unique and it comes with a play area for little people down the back. The staff are friendly and the food never dissapoints. Dont forget, the coffee is ABSOLUTELY one of the best in Melbourne. Love love love š¤¤ā¤
Great corner cafe, lovely food and friendly staff.
Depending on your preference,
variety of tasty food is offered, coffee is highly recommended, and those cakes are yum.
Try it, youād definitely be back for more!
Friendly staff & chef! Delicious food! Even a small outdoor area just for the kids while parents eat. Maybe need to clean up thebkids area nd have some clean toys, and not have the bins for the kids to touch and play with.
Charlotte's Corner Cafe is a nice suburban cafe. The key standout of the cafe is the service. For example, they allow you to bring your own cake and do not charge a fee for doing so. From making the reservation, making us feel welcome and bidding us goodbye when we left, we were impressed with the level of consideration from the staff including accommodating our various requests - five stars for service!
We all thought the food was reasonable. The serving size is fairly generous and the food was good but nothing exceptional.
This cafe has a wonderful outdoor area to enjoy your breakfast or lunch in summer time! A great family courtyard for young families. The food was pretty good, however we felt the pancakes weren't the freshest pancakes we have ever enjoyed. If you live near Blackburn, pop in and let us know your thoughts :)
Great cafe for Blackburn locals! Love the outdoors area especially in the summer. The food has great variety and will definitely satisfy your cravings. My favourite must be the baked eggs!
Not just yummy but also look pretty as well. Went to this cafe this morning for quick breakfast and coffee with my 4 legs Prince Charming, staff very friendly and very accommodate my little boy. Order corn fritters and coffee, service is fantastic and the food is very yummy!! Staff member didnāt make any fuss at all when I asked for a bowl of water for my boy :) the outdoor area at the back is very good for family with kids or a single person like me with dog:) big thumb up for this cafe and definitely come back again :)
As a relatively new cafe, Charlotteās Corner offers the locals of Blackburn an honest, tasty feed that, while bears no surprises, would definitely satisfy their breakfast cravings.
With a wide variety of dishes to choose from, the extensive menu sports both breaky and lunch options that are affordable, photogenic, and taste -almost- as good as it looks!
Fo0die dined as a guest of Charlotteās Corner and as such, the rating does not give any consideration to customer service.Ā
Before coming to the cafe, we had conducted a bit of an instagram stalk on the dishes that the cafe had and to put it honestly, they looked ordinary. So you can imagine our surprise when the dishes came out beautifully presented; a change that the cafe made in 2018, to step up their plating game. Weāre excited to see what the team will create in 2018 with this new goal of making the food look as good as it tastes.
Love the atmosphere,
The decoration is so unique and vintage.
staff : Very good. warm welcome with big smile and friendly
food: I was here for breakfast , and loved it.
Waiting time till food arrive: around 5 minutes
Price : 15-20/ person
Lovely local cafe in Blackburn. Quite small inside but there is an unexpectedly large courtyard out back, perfect for summer. Food is nice and hearty, well priced and staff are lovely.
** edit March 2018: these guys have really upped their game! Menu is a bit more modern by still well priced and focused on fresh produce and flavours. The plating has also significantly improved and looks really fancy now!
Service, coffee and food all good. Greeted on arrival and the waitress was attentive. Will come back if we are in the area. Intimate and friendly atmosphere.
This place is awesome! The breakfast quesadilla is such a good idea, and very healthy but has a lot of flavour. There's a really nice outdoor eating area, and it's just an overall lovely place to eat.
Cute cafe with friendly staff.
Had the breakfast quesadilla which was fantastic.
The chef here really seems to enjoy his work which is always great to see.
Will be back to try some of their other dishes.
A staple of my weekend session, Charlotte's corner is my go to when im in desperate need of a coffee and a meal. Having become a centre point for my social group, I've had a chance to try a lot of what Charlotte's has to offer.
It's hard to find a good coffee these days, especially because of the fact that it's both subjective of yourself and dependent on the barista behind the machine, I was delighted when I had found a treasure so close to home. The Mocha is a delicious start to my weekends and with a smooth texture I couldn't be happier.
The "three amigos" on their breakfast menu is delicious, a different take on the traditional sour dough, smashed avo and poached eggs, this menu item goes perfectly with the addition of smoked salmon and their sauce.
If your hungering for something more lunch orientated, you can't go wrong with their charlottes burger or pulled pork bun, both delicious and filling.
Amazing food and service, that's why I keep coming back.
Charlotte's Corner is very easy to miss on Canterbury Road which is a real shame. We went for breakfast which has a varied menu to cater for every taste including my wife's healthy eating habits. Everything was cooked well and tasted delicious. This was washed down with 2 very smooth coffees and accompanied by friendly service. We'll definitely be back again to try something else...bravo.
Finally got to visit charlotte's corner after driving past all the time. Cute little cafe with a nice looking outdoor area but unfortunately the weather kept us inside. Delicious food that came super quick and was so filling. Had the fritter stack and smashed avo, both were great. Coffee was average and took a fair while but overall a great experience!!
Havent been here for a little while. I enjoyed the coffee, the service, and the food. I ordered scrambled egg with maple bacon . I basically had a clean plate when i am done. Was surprised with the rating on zomato. I used to skip anything lower than 3.5..
It isnt a pretty presentation on the plate ( just usual scrambled egg folded with pine nut , maple bacon and feta) so i didnt take the photo.
To me it is simple, yummy, reasonable price. Would try to come back more often
My friend and I went here recently and we had a lovely meal. I had a focaccia and she had the falafel. It wasn't busy at the time but the staff were attentive. Only personal peeve was that the kitchen is out in the open which was a bit strange.
Just drive past this area and really need a cup of coffee to wake me up. The soy latte was good, blueberry & coconut cheese cake was nice too ( not sure if they made it themselves).
The chips what my friend ordered was just soso, it will be nice if they have sweet photo chips...
Seats aren't as comfy as I'd like, but this is still a fun place to visit. Ā Have had the pleasure of sitting out the back, with some great music, on a balmy Friday Autumn evening. Ā That night I enjoyed a perfectly pink Lebanese inspired lamb dish. Ā
For breakfast, I can confirm their poached eggs include perfectly runny yolk, and a fried egg will have a nicely set white. Ā The hashbrowns are not housemade, but the bacon is good, and the baby spinach is not an afterthought, but well cooked. Ā
Coffee is apparently very good according to my fussy partner.Ā
Tea is from a pot, with a teabag - not quite enough water for two cups, but I suspect they'd do a top up.
Very cute to see the number of dogs visiting (outside either in the back or on the front tables) though if it were me, I'd bring a little pillow for my pooch as the cold bitumen can't be fun in winter or summer!
BEST LATTE - for this area!
Regular $4.20.Ā You get what you pay for, right?Ā In this case - YES!
The barista took the order immediately (even tho we couldn't come in with the dog).Ā Took awhile to make it up BECAUSE he GOT IT RIGHT.Ā SOOO right!
Excellent service including patting "Wasabi" the super pup, and filling up the water bowl.Ā
We WILL BE BACK.
Great prompt service with a smile. Menu is reasonable and tasty and didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes for the food. Will definitely be back for breakfast again!
Decent food and coffee. Nice place to sit on a warm day in the courtyard. Child and dog friendly and they don't mind if you pop through the back gate with the pram or a pup!
I don't know why this place only has average reviews, because every time I come here I've enjoyed the food and staff have been friendly. Last time we had the baked eggs and the haloumi, avocado and poached eggs with a spicy creamy sauce, both were delicious! There were nice flavors which went well together. Eggs were perfectly poached. The only thing is that food takes way too long, almost 30min wait! And the coffee here is average, I normally come only for the food when I feel like nice, local brunch food!

Have been coming here on Sunday afternoons for coffee and I have to say the coffee here is quite good! Pretty sure it is the manager who makes coffees on Sundays and maybe that's why it was different to my last experiences.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday morning. Coffee was good - froth was smooth and my skinny capp had the perfect amount of froth in it. Coffee was strong, sweet and rich just the way I like it. Food was nice - but it's missing that 'wow' factor: it felt like something we could make at home. Staff were friendly, food came quite quickly. Overall a nice, local cafe and I will be sticking to my rating of 4/5.
A quick coffee between jobs on Wednesday. Staff were nice, coffee was fine and I lived their chairs as the had a moving back for that moved to the individual.
We were here for our Father's Day lunch and thank you for the great food and coffee! Kids loved the outdoor play area and enjoyed the kids's menu provided. The staffs were friendly and attentive. Really like this place!
average fare ... 3 of us had omelette, pancakes and pork slider ... omelette and pork slider were average ... pancakes were thick and had cake like texture ... coffee was average ... only saving grace was the owner was friendly and honest ... we were overcharged and he practically ran after us to give us a refund ... took away a brownie and again it was average ... disappointed as we really wanted to support our local cafes
Nice little cafe. Heaters out the back for outdoor, under cover seats. Friendly staff; we went with another couple with their child and there were smokers who had just lit up completely ignoring the no smoking sign. I spoke to the owners & he fixed the issue - smokers gone in
On a drab Saturday morning in Melbourne, where better to be than hunched over a warm cup of coffee. I wanted to try somewhere different in my quick rendezvous with my favourite city. Out in the 'burbs perhaps? My cousin knew just the place, I think she was dying to share her local hangout with me, which is Charlotte's Corner in Blackburn South.
Lovely Cafe!! A+++. Whole family enjoyed their lunch today. Thanks Vinh!! The foods were delicious :) We love the kids area. And the service was great! Highly recommended cafe. Great variety of yummy food! We'll be back again soon :)
Amazing ambiance, great service, reasonably priced, well balanced and flavoursome food with amazing texture and coffee was superb!
Kids love their juices here. This place always does good coffee and awesome fresh juices for the kids. The food is great, and we have always found the staff to be very friendly.
Just what the suburbs need.... We have been coming here since the first week it opened. Approx 2 years later, we are still happy. The staff are friendly and Abby always makes the effort to say hi. The current chef Tim knows his food and provides consistency. If I order something I've had before, I know it will come out the same (which is why I order it). He often checks to see if we're happy with our meals. Oh, yes, and did I mention it's one of only a few places in the area that make good coffee (and I'm fussy). This is a comfortable, easy place to enjoy alone or with family & friends.
Beef Burger. Worth a visit for this!
Great find! Perfect service, perfect food, perfect coffee!. What more could you ask for for Saturday brunch? - lovely attentive service, really great food and perfect coffee.
We were looking for somewhere for a substantial breakfast/brunch on a Saturday morning in the area. Urban-Spooned it and this seemed like a hopeful place to try. We were not disappointed! Good range of offerings for brunch. I chose veggie breakfast and it was all really lovely. The home-style baked beans were superb. The sourdough bread really nice. Poached eggs cooked just-right (more and more places seem to get that SO wrong these days!) Grilled tomato with a nice caramelised surface was good. Mushrooms yummy. The coffee was really good, so I ordered a second one and wasn't disappointed (a consistently good second cup is my test on the quality of coffee of a cafe!)
Guilty confession: we liked the place so much we returned later on in the afternoon for lunch too (shh!). The chicken and leek pies were just amazing and another in our party had the lamb shanks on mash which was reported as being excellent also.
The only teensy thing that was annoying was that it was a cold morning and the sliding door to outside was opened regularly to serve those outside but that can't be helped I guess!
On the whole a superb experience and keep doing what you're doing Charlotte's Corner!
A good find!. I chose this cafe for a Sunday brunch with friends and was pleasantly surprised: good atmosphere, appealing food and great coffee. My dish was served a little cold, but there was plenty to tempt on the menu (including options for kids) and the display case was bursting with home-style pastries and cakes. A good find in the area.
Nice Coffee. Grabbed a take away extra hot latte on the drive past and it was quite nice (and actually hot, which is rare)...its good to know where to get a decent coffee in the eastern suburbs....another to add to my list!
Best in Blackburn!. Have loved Charlotte's Corner ever since it arrived and filled the gap where we so sorely needed of a good quality, friendly cafe in the area.
The coffee and food here are always amazing, and the staff are always up for a chat whenever I come in. The new "Summer Days' smashed avocado on their menu is definitely one of the best, and I would recommend it highly if you're ever stopping by for breakfast!
Excellent. The coffee here is amazing. I have never once had a bad coffee here. I often come here on my half hour break from work ( i work right across the road) and I have time to order, sit, drink my coffee and eat my food before going back to work on time. The food is always delicious and I have never once been disappointed. Charlotte's corner is a winner
The staff are very friendly, the food, coffee and everything is very nice in this cafe. I don't know why 2 people in the last week, are putting wrong and un true reviews. Since this cafe is closed, since 2 weeks ago, so please stop that. Its shame to put un true reviews
Love it..... One of my locals and certainly one of my favourites. Took the rest of my family on Father's Day for brunch and we all loved it. Great food, service and best of all great coffee. A much needed cafe in this strip of shops.
Had a lovely breakfast here this morning- nice decor, good music and good food and coffee. Baked eggs were delicious, toast was cooked well and a good quality, portion sizes were good, poached eggs cooked perfectly the only thing was that the smashed avocado was a bit boring - it needed something else in it I think to give a bit of different flavour and texture. The cakes all looked great and were well priced so would go back to try some! Overall really liked it!
Only eaten here a few times but this cafe is always consistent.
Great coffee!!! Always made perfectly, also love the big breakfast and the burger is always a fantastic option. Good service and nice atmosphere.
Will keep coming back to this lovely little cafe.
Great coffee and food. Fantastic to have a new cafe with a modern vibe in Blackburn. Staff were helpful, bringing water immediately, and service of food was prompt. Being a sweet tooth, the large range of house-made cakes was tempting, with generous sizing.Lots of small sweet options for children is also a nice idea.
Savory food is really varied and reasonably priced. Love the antique red gum table tops made from old railway sleepers, sanded ,lacquered and warmly gleaming on black metal legs.
the only thing I would suggest is a curtain or door at the back of the cafe, through to the restroom, as the back door is unsightly, and spoils the otherwise tasteful decor of this welcome and welcoming place.
Best Coffee East side. Love this cafe, wish I discovered it earlier. We had breakfast here today, the corn fritters were amazing and are GF. My partner had the big breaky and loved it too. The coffee is great, I've been coming here everyday since I discovered this cafe and its been consistently good every time.
Happy in blackburn. Great experience. i could easily come back every day. Really enjoyed the coffee and breakfast. Lots of variety to choose from. Fresh food, cool shop and great service. we're just glad we live close by.
I have been in this cafe several times, best coffee, friendly staff and great service. I recommend everyone to visit this cafe.
Awesome CafƩ in the burbs! The coffee is the best and the food is amazing. Big portion sizes that are very reasonably priced, keeps me returning! The ambience is really cool and a great place to catch up with friends.
