Loved the industrial but welcoming vibe of this cafe. Food was fabulous, coffee was perfect and staff were friendly. Lots of gf, vegan options as well as standard menu items. Yum yum! Will be visiting again soon!
Great cafe. Very friendly staff, many vegan options which are creative and delicious. I'll be back!
What’s not to love about this cafe?
Amazing mission, great coffee, tasty food, friendly service, nice atmosphere and GF and vegan options. Be back very soon!
Great food great venue great coffee great service great mission great cause five stars!
Awesome new cafe that makes the best coffee AND where all profits go towards projects that help end global poverty! Win-Win! Loved it here!!
Great coffee, fantastic food, lovely atmosphere and for an amazing cause.
Great vibe. Lovely team. Great coffee. AMAZING food - wow.
Great beans taken home and ground for my morning stovetop
Hanging out here on day one of Little Things opening. Love it.
Great coffee, fantastic looking cafe. Go check it out!
Been to this place multiple times. It is my go to brunch place. Would highly recommend the smashed avo with the spiced chickpeas. Packed with flavour and not stingy with the portion size especially the avocado, in which other brunch places usually give very little. Also the coffee is one of the best I have tried. Will keep coming back.
Been to this cafe multiple times, I just love this place. Nice interior with great food and service. The people serving food & taking orders are polite and friendly. Their in-house coffee mill gives you a different experience altogether. I have tried 3-4 different vegetarian options and couldn't find any fault in any. Though I am not a fan of falafel on bread but their Falafel & Tofu Turkish are heaven to eat. Good salads & drinks with nice options for dessert. Just love it!!
They might call themselves Little Things but their flavour and impact is definitely far from it 🥰
FOOD: I ordered their Crumble Cheesecake Crumpets and it was literally an Apple Crumble and pancakes came together and made a baby 😍 This is personal but I’m more of a banana > apple person so if you love apples this is definitely for you! The apples were definitely abit overwhelming for me but for $18.50 they did not skimp on ANYTHING! The crumpets were THICC, the sauce was magical, the cinammon cream cheese made it almost carrot cake like and the coyo ice cream was so good?? It tastes like a super sinful dessert but all the ingredients nourish you making your body feel good and guess what? 100% of their profits goes to World Vision! If that doesn’t motivate and make your heart flutter, I’m not sure what will. Little Things definitely delivered with their portions, flavour and value!
SERVICE: Extremely lovely! All the servers welcome you and bid you a come again with a smile and it truly makes the experience so pleasant!
There’s nothing I can complain about this cafe and I truly only hold praise. I usually love cafes that taste good but this cafe also made me feel good and I can’t ask for anything more!
Been to Little Things once before for a coffee and i thought i definitely had to come back for some food and i finally did today!
we were greeted right away with very friendly staff taking our order very quickly. The coffee roast is delicious and i love that the proceeds go to world vision!
i had the Persian brunch bowl which consisted of quinoa, poached egg, avocado, halloumi, spinach, roasted tomatoes, red cabbage, pickled onion and hummus! i loved how colourful it was and had so many amazing healthy elements in one bowl! absolutely delicious combination of food and presented so beautifully!
thank you to the lovely staff for also taking food allergies seriously and passing onto the kitchen that i am a coeliac! ill definitely be back to try something else as there were some awesome meals on the menu :)
I’ve only been here twice thus far and both times have absolutely loved it! A big open, warehouse type space with a large coffee roaster and some few “eco-type” goods and plants for sale but for me this place really comes into it’s own with the food and the coffee. A great selection of slightly naughty cabinet items, perfectly balanced with some amazing food offerings to suit the very healthiest of tastes. And the coffee is as close to perfect as I’ve found isn’t he Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. And its hard to leave feeling bad when you’re supporting World Vision at the same time as enjoying great food and coffee!
It’s one of my favourite local cafes and we are regular customers. Nice vibe, good coffee and simple but yummy food. Service is always good.
Hidden gem. Great vegetarian and vegan options, including some delicious looking cakes. We had the avocado on rye with poached eggs and beetroot crisps and it was great. Better than expected. Will definitely go back.
Friendly staff and fast service. It was bit hard to find as this cafe was in industrial area. We had lunch and coffee here. The meal were interesting and coffee was very nice.
I’ve dined here on a number of occasions. The cafe is industrial styled & well spaced out. The service is always attentive, friendly and polite. The menu has a large range of vegan/Dairy free options. They also have meat options too! The flavour combinations of the different foods are well put together. I particularly recommend the crumpets and the vegan chocolate chip & nut cookie. Highly recommend!!
Fantastic coffee roasted on site! Best (dairy free!!) porridge I’ve ever had please Never take it off the menu! Golden smoothie great and not too sweet which is a massive plus. The mushies and eggs were perfect. Love the healthy vegan focus of the menu. Love most of all the heart behind this outfit. Please add a few more outdoor tables and please don’t change. Perfect.
This place was really nice. The inside was nice and spacious (not like a lot of other cafes) and was decorated nicely, with good lighting.
The food also was really good and presented really nicely. The Poke bowl had a lot of good elements that went really well together. I’m not usually a huge fan of kimchi, but absolutely loved the kimchi that I was served today. The Holy Crumpets were good too.
Only small complaint I have is that portion sizes are a bit smaller than usual I feel??
But overall, a good experience.
Came here for lunch today! I loved how the place was decorated and how spacious it was! The Açai bowl was very nice, beautifully presented. It was maybe a tad too watery, but other than that I was impressed with the portion size!
Yeah look it was bloody fantastic. 10/10 coffee, 10/10 food, 10/10 service and 10/10 absolutely good to go. If I were to pick a number between one and 10 to rate this place I’d have to choose 9.
What a gem of a Cafe in Blackburn. Since its opening, we have been here multiple times for breakfast. Service is quick and friendly. Our go to items on the menu are the Croissants with ham and cheese, and the Tofu Scramble. You can also get bottomless refills for the Batch Brew Filter coffee ! The real news here is that you don't need to go into inner city suburbs for good coffee anymore.
Blink and you'll missed this place. In between grey walls of warehouses and automotive garages there's this amazing "little thing" (probably need a bigger signage).
Being part of World Vision charity, it's a unique alternative in Blackburn's boring lunchscape, offering decent coffee and healthier lunch options.
Inside, you'll find industrialised-hipstery cafe setting, it feels spacious but background noises do echo a bit throughout the space.
Blackbean nachos is what I love from Little Things Coffee. It's different, definitely lighter and healthier choice of nachos topped with very light fluffy cream and yummy kale crisps. I've never tried anything like it before.
Although, I would prefer if they play a little bit more with their savoury menu, more options without bread/bagels please.
Hidden away on railway Rd, this little unassuming cafe tacked on to a micro coffee roastery is well worth a visit. The menu is fairly simple as they don’t have a full kitchen, but you can still get your eggs and a range of other really tasty food. Coffee, atmosphere, service - it’s all good.
Coffee roaster ! I love the environment and food over there , they only have simple kitchen but they still able to make vararities of high quality food ! Coffee is good but lack of specialty , I wish they can roast their own taste in the future . As per they wrote in cafe , all their profit will donate to world vision ! Definitely support this initiative , will come back visit again .
Having moved out to the burbs two years ago from Richmond, this little gem in Blackburn has made that transition alot easier. Delicious food with an interesting twist on it, great staff, and there's something about enjoying a coffee whilst being able to see the equipment that it was recently roasted on.
The nachos and vegie bowls at Little Things are A-mazing!!! Coffee easiliest the best in the area! All profits going to World Vision's work a bonus!
I decided to have the ‘Vegan BLAT with cos lettuce, coconut bacon, Roma tomatoes, avocado, house mayo on sourdough bread ($10.00)’. The coconut bacon made out of coconut flakes gave the toastie a smoky crunchy and the vegan mayonnaise tasted just like the real deal.
Can’t wait to go back! I had the bircher which was alright (could have been a little sweeter) but the acai looks incredible! The chef is ex Fourth Chapter. The staff are amazing - really friendly, chilled and welcoming. It’s a big space and gets chilly so bring a jacket!
Nice cafe with good coffee, food and service. A bit noisy with the coffee grinder for chatting. The only thing we didn’t like was the plot plants had manure dirt so hence it stink up the cafe. Not pleasant when you are eating.
Went to little things coffee, greeted when walked in by waitress and taken to table, ordered the poke bowl, a chicken and cheese bagel, rose latte and a matcha latte, food came out very quickly. Large environment and scenic cafe, lots of plants and also sold a variety of teas, coffees and succulents in the cafe. They donate majority of their funds to charity which is an amazing idea. Great prices for the portions, couldn’t even finish all of the poke bowl! Rose latte was interesting and definitely very aesthetic but would probably not get again as it was very floral. Loved the decor, one of the nicest cafes I’ve been to, amazing design and felt like it was a factory space turned into a cafe. Have already made plans to come back soon 4/5
Love this place. Always super friendly service, amazing coffee and great allergy friendly food.
And finally a good cafe open on the weekend in Blackburn (even if it is only Saturday, but other cafes in the area should follow their lead!).
Love this new cafe! Awesome fit out, friendly staff, nice looking menu (haven’t had anything to eat yet), great coffee.... and the profit goes to charity. Doesn’t get much better than this when choosing where to go for my morning coffee!
Cute place with a modern industrial vibe. Limited 1hr parking, could be better situated. Coffee was great, matcha latte was average. Small menu, but we both really enjoyed our meals - we got the smoked salmon bagel and an avocado on toast. Would I come back again? Yes, but not in a while.
Great range of vegan options! I had the nachos and sweet potato fries (probably didn’t need both as they are generous serves!). Nice airy inside with friendly service. Only issue is parking. There is limited 1 hour parking on the street.
So floppin yummy. If you love a smoked salmon bagel like I do, you shan't be disappointed by this one. Best I've had in maybe forever. Other food looks great. Excellent coffee, very friendly. Hopefully they will extend Saturday trading hours. Well done World Vision!
A hidden oasis, tucked away in a business area. I had an Autumn salad bowl - it was amazing and very tasty. They roast their own coffee which is interesting to see. There is coffee beans, tea, hot chocolate and some other coffee making items for sale. To top off a wonderful place, all profits go to World Vision!
What a fantastic addition to the area. Little Things is a large, modern, industrial space with indoor and outdoor options.
We felt very welcome by staff and were waited on attentively.
There are lots of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options on the menu and at their sweet treats counter.
The almond iced latte was the best I've had. We shared the vegan nachos and croque madame, both were exceptional. I never thought I could like vegan nachos as much as the regular version, but these were full of flavour and I didn't miss the cheese or sour cream. The croque madame was a lovely indulgence - you can't go wrong with brioche, melty cheese and bechamel sauce!
The best thing is that all profits go to World Vision Australia. Can't wait to come back for more dishes.
Some new places come with a little excitement, and this one does exactly that. Blackburn has now officially (and finally) arrived as a suburb with some serious cafes!!
Congratulations to World Vision for opening a smart cafe in a location that definitely needed a boost on the trendy cafe front. This place will provide an attractive meeting space for Blackburnians who like to take their cafe experience to the next level.
And what a bonus that profits go towards World Vision!
The large space is sharp, industrial, modern and light. And none of the annoyances of inner city cafes with limited space, long waits and parking tickets!
Most importantly, the coffee is very good. There is a sense that they are serious about their coffee - they take great pride in trying to get it right.
Looking forward to heading back to try their food.
The only down side is that it’s closed on Sunday’s, which is a big mistake for any cafe in suburban Melbourne.
Looking for somewhere new to try for your caffeine fix this weekend? This new cafe is a must visit! Little Things serve up excellent coffee and nourishing cold pressed juices. Plenty of room for prams for mums and dads with bubs. There’s some great vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options on the menu too, and all profits from Little Things go to World Vision Australia - so you can sip away knowing your dollars are well spent! 💚 @plantbasedmum_
Awesome new cafe that makes the best coffee AND where all profits go towards projects that help end global poverty! Win-Win! Loved it here!!
Great time at Little Things Coffee. Ordered the Vegan Nachos and an Ethiopian single origin filter coffee and was amazed! Good to experience the roasting operation in the background and the beautiful smell of roasted coffee in the air. Love that all profits go to World Vision Will keep coming back!
Great cafe tucked away in the backstreets of Blackburn. Gorgeous fresh menu (I had the avocado on toast with dukkah -YUM) and a Little Things filter coffee.
A nice surprise also was the wall of succulents potted in handmade pottery - picked up a stunner for a very reasonable price.
Upside: all profits go to World Vision’s work. Very reasonably priced. Music, staff and atmosphere are great too.
My only regret - not trying the vegan matcha cake and pink rose latte. Next time!!
This Cafe has fantastic atmosphere and staff and even better food. Couldn’t recommend more. Lots of vegan options as well. Lots of drink options. But the best part is all profits go to world vision Australia.
Got takeaway here. The flat white was good, very smooth and well brewed and beans were just strong enough to give it that good Melbourne coffee taste. Coffee could’ve been hotter. The rose beetroot quite weird and didn’t like it. Would like to try their food one day
I kind of like the vibe that this cafe has: industrial style with a touch of contemporary simplicity. Coffee is fairly good as per our taste and the waffle we ordered is not too sweet which is perfect for us. 4.1-4.2 stars on my rating system.
Really cute cafe to enjoy a nice coffee or milkshake.
Wide variety of vegan options - although be warned, when you order a burger, it comes with a side of ‘crisps’ rather than hot chips 😅
All in all a lovely experience, friendly staff and cute atmosphere.
Definitely a great find! Simple but good food with great coffee to match. The decor is super inviting as are the staff. Great drinks options, will be back for the snickers smoothie. Rose latte was good but probably wouldn't order it again as it wasn't to my taste. Highly recommend!
Great ambience and friendly staff. A small menu but food was lovely with great flavours.
One of the best coffee in the town !
I had the cold drip which taste absolutely amazing, 10 out of 10 ! Smells and tastes good.
I am not a bagel lover but their halloumi bagel is tasty and filling 👍🏻👍🏻
Also love how they contribute to the charity - 100% of their profit fund the life changing work of World Vision Australia.
Definitely a place to revisit :)
Friendly and fast service every time. The Nourish bowl was incredible, thus I'm incredibly disappointed it's been taken off the menu! Coffee is excellent.
