Review Piedmont Inn - Blackheath

Wonderful friendly service, especially towards the kids. Kids loved the super stringy cheese on the pizzas, and the ginger beer with eco friendly stripey paper staws. Granita for dessert was also a hit.

The food was prepared from scratch, no bought in stuff. The Polo Prosciutto Fusilli was spicy and absolutely delicious. We also had Lasagne so unlike those places where it is bought in. Definitely hand made, tasty and had substance. We were pleasantly surprised, and had a great 16th anniversary dinner. Sorry we couldn't wait to eat so only photographs of desert. Nearly forgot to do that as well.

Had the beef lasagne. Incredibly large portion with the included salad. It was absolutely delicious and probably one of the best lasagne I ever had. Cosy atmosphere with friendly service, and the place is conveniently located near BlackHeath station.

If Italian food is something you're craving anywhere near Blackheath, then you definitely can't go wrong with Piedmont Inn. The food is delicious, the decor is modern, and the staff are pleasantly hospitable.

What a great find and pleasant surprise the Piedmont Inn was. I booked for 6 people (2 adults and 4 kids) for late on Saturday night because we drove into Blackheath late. The place is so cosy and warm on a cold night. Lovely friendly staff. The meals were so good. I had the pork belly and the crackling was perfect, but what impressed me most was that all the fat had been separated from it and just the tender melt in your mouth meat remained. So good. Pizzas are yum and pasta was also great. Oh, and the sticky date pudding and the apple cake was divine. We will definitely be back!!

Let me begin by saying that the owner of the place is a warm, genuine chap that provided friendly service. But the food however, was horrendous. Pasta that was overcooked (for all the dishes our group ordered), and the sauces seem to have either come out from a can (the duck ragu), or utterly tasteless (for the garlic prawns). The pizza fared no better, with a cardboard like crust and little flavour. The first dish took nearly 40 minutes to serve up as well, which meant that friendliness did little to elevate the overall service. This is definitely a place I would recommend to avoid unless you are looking for a night of disappointment

We love this place. The food is amazing. Very tasty, and good value. Good service and a cozy vibe. Almost 5 stars. Almost perfect pizzas except that the spicy Italian pizza was not spicy. Apart from that, a fantastic night. EDIT 7 August 2018: We went here again, with a group of 14. Initially the owner was reluctant to take such a large group, but we were able to book for 8pm, so the kitchen was happy with that. We all had mains and all but two of us had dessert. Except for the tiramisu, every single dish was exceptional, and the service top notch. Highly recommended. Only issue was the tiramisu wasn't very strong on the coffee, which was disappointing.

Pasta is nice, pork belly not so much. Staff are friendly, but in the 1.5 hours I was there I saw 5 meals attempted delivery at the wrong tables, and when we came to pay our bill another table had already paid ours, which took some time to fix. I think it's a great local restaurant, but it's things like this that will hamper people's experience.

What a delight to find this and it's local to us. Awesome. Friendly helpful staff. Lots of gluten free options and the food was excellent. Mafia pizza on gluten free base. All fresh and best pizza I've had in a while. Will be back for sure.

The staff are all so lovely - they made every effort to help us have a wonderful evening, and they were so personable and friendly. The food was delicious! The staff recommended we try one of the specials and it was so tasty! I live in Sydney but we are considering driving up again just for the night to go back here for dinner. Couldn't recommend this place more highly!

Had a beautiful meal. Hubby had pasta, I had veal. Young staff, but friendly and good service. Reminded us of a restaurant we used to frequent in Newcastle. It was recommended to us and we forward the recommendation on. Pricing was very reasonable and portion size good. It is a BYO, but there is a bottle-o round the corner. Small intimate restaurant. Very nice!

The Piedmont has been a favourite of mine since 1997. Fantastic pizza & pasta, eat in or take away. An unusually long 18 months since my last visit i was excited to get take away pizza on Saturday night. Very disappointing, Supreme pizza lacked topping & especially the fantastic flavour which made them my favourite. Also the Garlic bread had no garlic at all. Buttered bread roll is a more accurate description. I was told by a local that it has new owners. Why change things that have been so successful for so long? I understand that new owners always like to put their stamp on things, but this is a step backwards. Being back the old pizza recipes and i will be back.

I had a take away pasta the seafood in the pasta was terrible got a pizza with with chicken on it hardly any chicken this place definitely over rated and definitely over priced $28.5 for a boring pizza thats not even woodfire

Three good meals, pizza good, prawns good, sardines good. Pork belly very disappointing, pork had been shredded and the undercooked skin put on top, not nice.
