Grabbed a takeaway coffee and it was rich and creamy. $4 but that might be normal for the mountains. Staff were good and the inside is attractive but the counter area is crowded with people walking back and forth through the crowd of people trying to pay or get coffee.

Known for their well-made Campos coffee, Anonymous is a little Blackheath café that began back in 2012. In 2016, the team expanded to a second venue, Synonymous, located in nearby Medlow Bath just a short walk from the famous Hydro Majestic Hotel. With an emphasis on using locally grown, seasonal produce, and making their own bread, pickles and relishes, both venues represent good spots to break a journey across the Blue Mountains if you like eating honest, tasty food. The interior at Anonymous is modest and functional. Shelves constructed with repurposed wood are lined with colourful pickle jars, illustrating their make-everything-in-house ethos. The items inside these jars are put to excellent effect on the Anonymous Mixed Plate ($20), which comes with three different condiments – a beetroot relish, a fig condiment that's perfect for cheese, and a lovely mixed curry pickle that’s sour and compelling. Consume them with three different meats – thick slices of house-corned beef, a whirl of prosciutto and carved leg ham. You'll also find three cheeses - a farmhouse...

The location is ordinary and it looks quite unremarkable decor wise which disguises the amazingly great food here. I had oolong tea and a chickpea burger, my friend had a lamb and spinach wrap with ginger and lemon tea. This is a must do in blackheath at the moment. $43

Bae discovered this place while on the road, he loved the brekkie burrito so we came back. Cute little nook dining, we chose to sit at the brekkie bar, great for people watching. . Breakfast burrito with braised beans, black rice, grilled corn and chickpeas, tomato coriander salsa, sour cream and a fried egg. $15.5 - bae’s fav

Such a cute spot in the heart of Blackheath, with a super friendly atmosphere. Constantly buzzing with locals and tourists alike, with a line to the door at all times! All thoroughly enjoyed their meals and our spot at the bench seat at the window.

A trendy cafe in the Blue Mountains? This cafe would fit right in somewhere in the Inner West or Surry Hills. The decor and vibe was relax and casual, there is a country fresh feel, with their produce and stock lining up along the side wall. The place wasn't very big, and it was packed for Sunday breakfast. Unlike a normal breakfast menu, the first thing we noticed was there's no bacon on the menu! Then there are also no mushrooms! This was devastating to my friend who loves mushroom. Lucky for me, the sweet tooth, there's a brioche french toast (no bacon though). Despite the minor disappointment, all was forgotten when the food came, they were just delicious. My brioche french toast was cooked well, not soggy, the toast was still fluffy & chewy in the middle. The sweetness was well balanced with generous portions of poached fruits, the almonds on top also added a nice crunch and texture. My friends got the scrambled eggs with ham & tomato relish. The ham was juicy, freshly craved. The eggs and relish were good as well. Overall a great brunch, definitely recommend for your next trip to the Mountains.

Best coffee in the Mountains. When we take a weekend trip, we're here every single morning for an epic breakfast before heading off for the day. Food is great. Service is friendly. Coffee is consistently divine. Just....just go here. ☺

Cute Cafe - Great Food. Stopped by this cafe for a late lunch - escaping the freezing winds and rain outside! Anonymous Cafe is very trendy in its decor with a great (perhaps slightly limited) selection of options on its menu and friendly staff.
We ordered a hot chocolate and blended herbal tea - both lovely.

For lunch we ordered:
- A ham, cheese and tomato toastie: super yum - thick slices of toast, the ham was absolutely delicious and was thickly sliced off the bone, lots of melted cheese, fresh tomatoes and served with a side of well dressed salad.
- A meatball sandwich with pancetta, caramelised onions and some other delicious elements in a soft baguette topped with plenty of mayonnaise. This sandwich had incredible flavours and is definitely a meal worth returning for - the only slightly constructive note I can even think of - the meatballs had to be sliced in half as it was sometimes hard to eat the baguette without them falling out! Again, served with a lovely salad which was a refreshing end to the meal.

Overall, super cute cafe and we would definitely come again. A table nearby had ordered the soup of the day (tomato and basil), and it looked like a generous and delicious serving with toasted bread - so would try that!

A piece of surry hills in the mountains. If you are into the inner city hip cafe scene, this place is like a transplant from surry hills - minimalist, rustic wooden tables, displays of produce, menus on clipboards.. the coffee by Campos was decent, and the breakfast selection was pretty good. prices are reasonably high - $9.50 for a small slice of walnut & date bread toasted, with ricotta and honey. definitely more "pretentious" than other mountains places, but maybe that's just what Blackheath needed

The best coffee west of Glebe. A real treat and just what the mountains needs. The Coffee is rich and distinctive, food light and fresh. A must visit.

The haloumi, as expected, brought fabulous saltiness, which the beans, peas and mint balanced. The chickpeas, having been toasted with the haloumi for a few minutes in the frypan, also added texture and an extra dimension. Altogether, it is a brilliant sandwich combo that will now be included in the Jelly household's lunch rotation.
