Review Fiesta Filipino - Blacktown

Selvi SF
Halo Halo was so nice I will definitely go back again for more. Good value for money. Try Banana spring roll for snack. Banana wrapped in spring roll pastry, deep fried then coated with caramelised sugar. Friendly service. All staffs greeted customer nicely. Great location being so closed to Blacktown train station. Minimum purchase of $10 to pay by card makes it difficult to buy from them. There are not much food left at the takeaway counter in the arvo. If I buy Halo Halo alone it costs around $8. Since I don't have cash, I can't buy.

discovered this hidden gem today.. great for those pinoys who are craving for some home cooked food. the place is comfortable with a functional ac to cool off from the blasting summer heat. the set up is a modern carenderia with lots of condiments (one pinoy trademark). breakfast at 10 dollars. regular meal starts at 10-12 dollars. soft drinks is sold at 2 for cans and 3 of 390 ml bottles. pinoy dessert such as halo halo is sold at 8. Turon at 2. many more options. definitely will be coming back. Recently, I went to the same shop for 2-3 times. the quality of food isn’t consistent as compared to the first time I came and tried the food. I took food home and noticed that the fried fish was fully soaked with cooking oil thus making it soggy. I think they can do better. Best to go early than go there when they are about to close - food not warm and the taste isn’t as good when they are freshly cooked.

We love their breakfast silogs. If you already miss eating dried fish almusal like danggit, I recommend their jambrosilog! So thin to eat and crispy! Their tinapang bangus was a hit too! They were both served hot and newly cooked!

I was waiting for my appointment. I came early thinking I would be able to get a Philippine breakfast, having heard that Blacktown has a couple of eateries serving the local palette. I loved my arrows caldo, exactly how I wanted it cooked garnished with fried garlic. I came back for lunch after finishing my appointment and had take away of 'pakbet, and guinataan with steam rice. The boneless bangus tasted very well with fried eggs on garlic rice, cucumber and tomato on the side. I was very happy that my expectation was met higher than I thought. There was the ambience, clean, cosy atmosphere I'll be coming back with my sister very soon. I also ventured at the bakery nearby and bought pan de sal, pandan- cheese buns and rice cakes. I like the store and the staff who served me. She knows how to sell the business and is definitely an asset to the firm. Emiliana Estanislao

Tried the adobosilog for breakfast and the pork adobo meat was very hard and dry. Looks like the pork adobo's several days old. Also had the tapsilog and bopis, which tasted well. Fairly priced. I will not and don't recommend the adobosilog at all.

We had Fiesta cater our Baby Shower and it was perfect! From the day we contacted them right up until the end of the event, they were easy to deal with. Special mention to Anne & Don for your great service on the day. Everyone loved it! From the food to the food service, to just being there. They were discreet and never in the way. We don't usually host parties where our guests get served, so we thought we'd change things up a little. Pricing was on point, food selection was great! They were clean and prompt and just amazing! Thank you so much for catering for our event. It made hosting a party easy and stress free. Will definitely recommend Fiesta to all our family & friends!

Fiesta is one of several Filipino food outlets around Blacktown Station. They offer ready-to-eat main dishes as well as some light snacks.
I’ve tried several dishes from this place. It’s kinda hit and miss for me personally.
My favourite items from this shop: some of the meat dishes (unsure about the name), the sweet potato on a stick and the caramelised fried banana (not sure what it’s called).

Filo food on sticks!

All the way in Blacktown close to the station this place can get really busy ... Sold out by 5pm. Locals comes and buys boxes of stew and meats quickly along with snacks.

At the outset, this fast food filo eatery was great in taste and with adequate serving.

But after being able to capture a great number of customers from its surrounding competitors, and by that I mean other filo eateries within the area, it had started to charge more than it should, especially without the customer knowing. If you happened to be one of those who get to count your change or quick in summing up your total bill (yourself) instead of relying on the total price the person serving you supplied to you, then you can relate or attest to what I am referring to here.

When you call their attention about it, that's the only time you hear a mature female, who sounded like the owner, will butt in to say, the store had to increase the price of this and that particular dish to cover for the cost of running their business. They pretty much run their own judgement (based on customer's appearance and demeanor) as to who to charge more and not, which is a bit dissapointing, if not entirely ridiculous.

After the last three occasions of being dealt with that way, I stopped patronizing their business. Besides the issues of shortchanging, I decided it was not really worth dealing with it because some of the food they serve are no longer as tastier, as it was before, and by that I mean, from the year they first opened the shop. At most times in the past, I can taste the MSG on their food, which is a bit of a health-concern.

I am likewise concerned that food they serve have been in constant reheating or warming for hours until sold. As a food lover, who likes tasting different cusines and specialties from any country of origin, I strongly believe that food is best served when cooked straight from scratch as opposed to hours and hours of heating until sold.

One can love food and still enjoy healthy eating!

Pros
- clean workspace
- clean restaurant and food handling
- great food: has the best dinuguan (In comparison to Panama and sizzling fillo), kare kare has a lot of meat and vegetables look fresh, lechon kawali has lots of meat
- abundant in serving food
- excellent costumer service, really an excellent staff that represents fillo costumer service well

Cons
- small restaurant
- easily crammed
- not enough space to accommodate large groups
- small dining space
-pricey considering its small and crammed space but worth it because food is great!

The food was great and better than most more expensive fillo restaurants in Sydney. You are really paying for the taste of food here. Downside is that the restaurant is small.

It was not even close to lunch time and peeps are already crowding this shop. Decided to be a little adventurous and try filipino's food as it was ages ago since i have been to the phillipines.

Roast pork belly @$13 each was reasonable i guess, the sauce given we could not really appreciate, somehow didnt suit our primitive tastebuds.. By itself those pork belly was 3.5/5.

Deep fried shrimp pancakes 3/5, crispy with the right quantity of shrimps.

Rice noodles and boiled eggs drizzled in their special gravy (i have no idea what it is called) 3/5

Another dish which i dont know the name of was pork belly cooked in a coconut based gravy, a word of caution as this dish was so rich, you'd be well advised to ration yourself 2.75/5.

Our nipples explode with delight as we try Filipino food for the first time, and discover it's even better than we expected.

Nice. Everytime I have come here I have always had good food and have been greeted by friendly staff. Food pricing is a little more than what you would expect for the amount given but it is so much more worthwhile and better than the filipino cuisine next door.

It's ok,though there are plenty of options to choose from none of it was outstanding! There small springs rolls and noodles were ok,same with the fish balls, what looked like a spring roll actually had banana in it,I like this most!

Prices though I expected it to be cheaper

There is a small AreA to eat with no ambience

Overall it looks like a popular place but I found the food Average at best
