Review Lone Star Rib House - Blacktown

The Hummel
Stopped by for a quick lunch on the way through Blacktown today and was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. Very friendly staff, clean facilities and a nice theme throughout of the American style rib shack. I had a fish and chips but asked to replace the chips with salad, which they were happy to accomodate. Would recommend.

Lovely service from Grace and Ebonie. Warm smile and always checked on us. Food is so reasonable and tasty. It is our first time here so we are very impressed. Will recommend my friends here. šŸ‘šŸ»

28/11/2021 - Lone Star Takeaway Ordered the 1kg Rib and 1kg wing box take away here. I must say that the buffalo chicken wings were super dry and over cooked. The ribs in the box were good but had a big bone and some of them were a tad over cooked. The chips were great however they don't give much. I overall did not enjoy the food and wouldn't order again.

We got chicken rings instead of onion rings. If they wanted $14 we would have given it for free. Why to cheat us. We are pure vegetarians. Never ate meat and you guys serve us with chicken rings instead of onions. Do you guys consider us as fool. That you will serve and we would eat it. We had to throw away sweet potato chips too which we ordered with it. That disgusting was the smell of chicken . And then you want reviews. What a disgusting customer service. Was your staff sleeping before checking what they were packing for take away. Poor delivery driver was not going to check it but you guys should be ashamed. Food is considered as godā€™s gift. We would have donated the amount which we spent on you guys. I would of course not recommend you to anyone the type of cheating you ppl did with us. We are vegetarian for religious reason. You guys messed with it because of you flushable customer service.

Went out for dinner for the first time in such a long time, now that we are finally allowed to go out again. This place is exactly what you would expect from a steakhouse in Blacktown. We had a good time here as a group of friends! Our table attendant/waitress Breanna was also great fun, deserves a pay rise!

This is $5 side of onion rings and $8 veggies .. also got powdery nuggets for my kid .. Sister ordered a Mojito that didn't taste right.. but the ribs and steak were good.. maybe just order these and nothing else.

The food was good, but the service is really lacking. My mate ordered a lamb shank and it arrived frozen around the bone. He was offered a rump steak to replace it, and was told he wouldn't have to pay for his meal. At the end of the night he was charged for the rump and I was charged for a Great Northern we had never ordered. Didn't even come to our table. I'd say it's worth a visit as the food and vibe of the place is good, but the service isn't quite there.

Friendly service - Grace was very helpful. Tasty chicken wings - honey soy were delicious (but sizing inconsistent). Chips arenā€™t as good as they used to be - bring back steakhouse style. Reasonable prices. Relaxed atmosphere.
Sir And Mlady Dine Out
Mlady had a long overdue catch up with Friend K and they decided to lunch at Lone Star in Blacktown. Itā€™s certainly a place that stands out with its Americana Texas Saloon frontage. Lone Star are known for their steaks, ribs and burgers but they decided on something a bit lighter. The menu does have plenty of filling options for those with big appetites but also plenty for customers after something quick or light too.

Friendly service but poor food. Looked like my salad was straight from a woolies lettuce bag as thatā€™s all it was.

we went there a lot of times before the menu change and it was amazing ...food, service and atmosphere, unfortunately we went today and the menu was changed ..the food was not good, the steak was medium rare although I asked for well done and the schnitzel was definitely frozen ā€¦..although we used to order it before and it was nice homemade....really disappointed that I will have to cross this place off my list.....:(( staff was good though.

Amazing experience, the food was good value but above all the service was fantastic. Our server Mel was attentive and friendly and really made the night. Will definitely be returning.

Cheese Fries : šŸ˜ Amazing <br/>Cajun Spiced Chicken : šŸ˜ Amazing<br/>Hawaiian Burger : šŸ˜ Amazing<br/>Service : šŸ˜ Great <br/><br/>Massive restaurant that seems to get busy most weeknights. Canā€™t go wrong with cheese fries. They were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and drenched with heavenly cheese. Loved the Cajun Chicken. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Hawaiian burger was sooo good and a heads up cause it can get messy, but thatā€™s the joy of eating good food. Great service and great atmosphere.

I honestly think their steak isnā€™t as nice as the one at Village hotel, probably because you donā€™t get to grill it yourself. Serving size is enough, which is good. Quite expensive, only because itā€™s Sydney. The place is nice! It looks like steakhouses in Texas. As for the ribs, well I donā€™t eat pork, but the ones I went there with thought it was almost good. According to them it was almost perfect but canā€™t figure out whatā€™s lacking. Would I go back? I donā€™t think so. The staff is nice though.

Wouldn't go here for anything but all you can eat ribs, wings and chips. Great value for $29.95 if you have a big appetite. Other menu items lacking and staff seem disinterested at times. Still had a good night out with mates.
The Hippy Foodie
Some of the best lamb ribs I've had. Customer service is excellent, and the owner is always happy to come out and say hello/give a helping hand to his staff to keep things running smoothly. The chocolate brownie is delicious, as is the cheesecake. You can tell that they run a very tight knit team which is very refreshing.

It was almost empty when I came for lunch <br/>Ordered the chicken schnitzel burger, the chicken meat was long but funny enough when I tried to tear the ends off I really struggled tear the chicken meat off <br/>The chunky chips that came with it was a bit dry <br/>The meal was substantial but I think that's the chips <br/>There is also a barrel where you can get free peanuts<br/>That's a nice gimmick <br/>But overall it was just a ok experience

Was such a good experience from the moment we walked in were treated well and checked on in fair intervals throughout our meal. Lovely service from our waiter as well as any waiter walking around.<br/>For the food, generous and good value if you're looking for a decent meal with special deals on deserts and a cocktail. Thought we got more than we deserves when ordered a FaceBook special that served a lot for a low price!<br/>Owners have done well to restore and expand on what the previous stores in the same location have struggled with.<br/>Friendly service and quick and tasty food... So good had to eat the plate clean. Only downfall is the pork ribs had a little to much fat on them for myself but that awesome BBQ sauce definitely made me forget it in a hurry!<br/>3/07/17

Absolutely shocking experience!!!!<br/>The staff were just not friendly or to better put it, not at all service oriented.<br/>Food was crap and was a total waste of money considering we were 4 families.<br/>Kids menu had ribs that were of rubbery consistency and not palatable. Kids have decided not to go to this restaurant again.<br/>Our family who were visiting us from overseas were horrified of this experience and was a cause of major embarrassment to us. We wanted them to experience some good Aussie stake and hospitality however they were shocked with the behavior displayed by the staff. Not sure if it is lack of essential customer oriented skills or adequate training. <br/>We will never visit this restaurant again and would advise anyone planning to do so to avoid it if possible. Surely not if you value a pleasant meal and good experience.
Picturesque Food
Thought we would try lone star out for a celebration, however, the only thing we celebrated was how good the mash was...everything else was disappointing. <br/>Tonight we ordered garlic bread, pork ribs, the single cheeseburger and 2 cokes. <br/>The garlic bread looked plain and not very appetizing. I believe I could of received better at Pizza Hut. <br/>The pork ribs were not nice and soft, and were rather tough and over sauced. The salad was the same story, over sauced. The mash was the best part of the dish! <br/>The single cheese burger came out looking terrible! The "buns" looked like a bread roll cut in half with a beef patty and cheese slapped in the middle. It tasted like school canteen quality food. Best part of this dish were the chips. <br/>Even the cokes were disappointing. Had a hint of creaming soda, perhaps from the last customer...<br/>Overall, not an enjoyable dining experience and not "buckin awesome!"<br/>

We were STOKED to find out Lone Star was back! So many childhood memories of flying peanut shells. Back in the day you'd throw them on the floor and the poor staff would have to sweep every 20 minutes so the room wouldn't be a metre deep in the stuff. Anyway, I'm happy to announce a free little bucket of peanuts is handed to you upon arrival. The staff are awesome, very friendly and the owner of the Blacktown outlet seems like a really down to earth bloke. We ordered the Amarillo Cheese Fries, they're as good as I remember. Loved them. In our party of two we ordered the J.R Ewing Dallas TV Burger, and the Rio Grande Amigo Schnitzel also. The burger had incredible flavour, the only fault was the texture of the patty, as if the mince is perhaps ground a little too fine. Otherwise the combination of sauces work very well together. The Amigo Schnitzel is nice, definitely needs the salsa to cut through the richness of the cheese and con carne. We shall be coming back.

We went there as we are a big fan of LONE STAR in New Zealand. Specially the one in Takapuna in auckland. Not sure if it's the same company. <br/>The Pork ribs were absolutely delicious, nachos were good too but rest like chicken wings, cheesy garlic bread, burger with chips and the fish n chips needs improvement...!!! The ambience is good, huge parking area, and one more thing after the food has been given on the tables no body bother to come back to check if we needed anything no one came to get a repeat order for drinks, if I am not wrong I saw a manager/owner telling one of the staff to go and check up on tables which was good and we had to request to clear our tables so we could order our deserts, WHICH I wish we hadn't....! The brownie blast (nothing wrong with the brownie it taste OK) nothing special as a BLAST...! Anyway will sure visit again for the Ribs and some steak for sure. All the best. <br/>
