Review Outback Jack's - Blacktown

We had the all you can eat mixed ribs and [chicken] wings. Unfortunately, it was a bowl of soggy chicken wings *covered* in sauce, and a plate of beef ribs and chips - almost no pork ribs! The waitress was excellent, but we rated service as very good because there only was one person on the floor. Honestly, I felt quite deceived as it wasn't all I could eat, but more of a 'if you can eat all those soggy wings covered in sauce, and more chips than meat, then (and only then) you can have another plate'. Whilst I am full, I like pork ribs too much! I'll probably be going somewhere else next time.

Poor poor poor. Ordered the "Big Jacks Ribs" ( I was starving) took 1 1/2 hrs to come out with a chicken burger for the wife and was shocked to see 6 beef ribs come out on a tray with a heap of cold/barely warm chips on the end. Menu says slow cooked for 8 hours. Bull. The meat was still pink and tough. 40 bucks for 6 ribs. Never again.

It was supposed to be a nice family dinner (12 people) for dad's birthday. Problem 1: We arrived and were all seated at 3 different tables. Great Logic. Problem 2: Drinks ordered - drinks came 20 minutes later. Wine was brought, without wine glasses. I had to get up and ask the staff for glasses (15 minutes after we realised they weren't coming with glasses). Drinks came. Lemonade was soda water. Really? I mean really? Problem 2: Ordered the surf and turf, medium rare with mash potatoes. Steak was bleeding (might as well have been breathing), mash potatoes = instant mash from a packet. I can't even joke about this. Steak house and the menu can't even contain real potatoes? Are you kidding me, especially when I'm paying $38 for the meal. I expected this price at Hurricane's Bar and Grill. But not even THEY are that deceitful about their foods worth. My mother ordered steak and mash - mash, again from a packet. I hope that was clear enough for you all. Don't order the mash. Problem 4: Food came, no cutlery brought out. Again, went to ask the bar staff for cutlery. Problem 5: WHY DIDN'T WE WALK OUT SOONER?? Problem 6: Asked to make a complaint about the food, manager showed up 30 minutes afterwards. I don't understand this logic. This review is not about being 'too picky'; it's the principles of service that unfortunately Outback Jack's does not have. Staff were lovely, trying their best. Their efforts are let down by their management. You need to know what you are doing, and you need to not over price your food if your chef's aren't up to that standard. Be true to yourselves guys, be honest. This was the worst experience of a steakhouse I have ever had. Happy 45th Birthday dad.

The giant crocodile hanging from the ceiling is weird enough but Outback Jacks is a poor excuse of a steakhouse. All you can eat ribs, sure it sounds great but their strict rule with having to finish every morsel before asking for another round is pathetic seeing as they put 2x the amount of fries and cold chicken wings and expect you to eat it. The ribs were lacklustre and dry and the general vibe was dull.

Different than other steak houses, specially the crocodile hanging. But the ambience is nice, it may be a bit off due to the fact sometimes the music that is being played does not match the culture the food is in. Which makes it a bit weird, other than that food, waiters are really nice and enjoyable experience to be made for a small group of friends

My steak was only just warm, over cooked and it took more than an hour to arrive. All that for $39! My mates ribs were mostly gristle. Disappointed.

Worst place ever!! $30 meal for INSTANT MASH?? It was so dry and pretty much inedible i complained and they admitted it was instant mash they offered us a free desert which tasted bad, my partner had pasta and the sauce was as runny as water, all in all dont recommend to no one!

This used to be a good place too eat. now it's crap. The food it's terrible and the management worse. New management ruined it completely I'll never eat there again
