I well enjoyed my food here at blue fin it was lovely and I would love to go again with my friends anf family, we had a long day at the beach with the end of the day with lovely fish and chips
Took the kids out to the beach yesterday and on way home we got fish and chips. We all loved them . Just the way we all like them . Yummy crunchy and fluffy. we would definitely order agin
On arrival the shop had a humble look and feel, being your typical fish and chip shop from the front. Once you step inside however, you're taken into another world. Aesthetic internal furnishings and a decent feed alongside friendly service. However, not very cheap! I ended up paying over $25 for a burger, a flake and a drink.
One word summary: Overpriced
Friendly service and the grommet meals are good for the kids. Gets pretty busy in peak season, which causes a bit of stress, but all in all a great local fish shop.
Summer is all about Fish and Chips and the beach. Check out the new menu. Chips where delicious (gluten free too) and everything is golden brown as it should be when cooked with the right way - you pay for what you get - quality, fresh seafood. PS also lamb souvlaki was yum.
Picked up fish and chips from here for lunch a few days ago after a few failed attempts at dinner due to 1.5hr wait times. Fish was fresh and well cooked fot both grilled and fried. Potato cakes could have been better but overall quite happy with the food.
Nice flake and good selection of drinks. Nothing better then sitting on the beach with some nice chips, smoking some viceroy cigarettes and letting the seagulls share the enjoyment. Nice friendly staff too.
Freshest Fish and Chips on the Peninsula...by far. All the people complaining about this place have no idea about fresh fish. Yes I admit its quite pricey but if you want fresh fish and chipsnthis is the place to go. How fresher can you get, I only ever get take away from here and also by my seafood from here. The flake is fresh and beautiful the place is spotless, I buy my salmon from here and am yet to be disappointed in 2 years. Good advice is also given on the beat cooking of your fish. Yes u pay a little more but at least u know what u are getting. Apparently all fish is filleted on site, and oysters opened freshly each day by the owner. My 6 year old son loves the kids meal which again is fresh shark as my son calls it.. The chefs seem to know how to cook fish. The south Melbourne style dim Sims are pretty darn good as well. Happy to pay the little bit extra for fresh ( not frozen ) food.
Fresh Fish!. After ready a lot of the negative reviews on this site for Blue fin we decided to order anyway......So glad that we did. They have beautiful fresh fish that was cooked to perfection. The service was a bit slow but they were all very friendly. Would highly recommend trying for yourself before passing judgement.
I am a convert to Bluefins healthy fish and chips this time we walked over the road and ate on the beach last time we ate on one of the outdoor tables with a glass of wine. There was also a good selection of very fresh fish for sale and some good cooking advice came free.
Yummy seafood!. Fantastic fresh seafood. Friendly staff. We were very happy with our meal and our dining experience.
I really like it, I know it can be more expensive than a cheap and dodgy fish and chip shop- and it can be, it's in a top spot, the food is always fresh, and I really like the crew who run it. I'm a local, and there are plenty worse places to get fish and chips around here- I say give them a go!
Thanks for the memories. I took the family for dinner and the service was fantastic the freshness of the fish was second to none and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. A special thanks to Chris who took the time with us and our kids to make it a night to remember. I will remember the fresh sushi the perfectly cooked prawns and the beer was at the perfect temperature icy.
The Best gourmet fish and Chips you can get anywhere on the Mornington Peninsula. Very friendly and knowledgable staff in seafood.
Blair. I thought the food was quite good and was reasonable value for money. Wine list was a bit skinny and a couple more wines by the glass would be good. My only real criticism was the coffee. After a pleasant meal, I was looking forward to a nice espresso to finish it off. The waiter had no idea what I meant by a "short black". What I got was a long black with absolutely no crema. They don't have a commercial espresso machine but they do have a good quality domestic machine, so there is no excuse. I suggest that at least one of their staff needs to spend a day at a barista school. I'll give them one more chance!
