Review Lobster Tail Seafood Restaurant - Bondi Junction

Great location, food is excellent, somewhat pricey though. I ordered a main, and when choosing a side I asked for chips and veggies. The waiter informed me that I could only have one or the other. When my meal arrived, it had the one side and a heap of fried onion on the side. A simple garden salad in place of the fried onion would have really improved the meal. It seems all of the meals come with fried onion, regardless of whether you ask or not. When you’re paying over $32 per main, I’d have expected to be able to choose 2 sides. Nonetheless, food is excellent.

This bar and grill is on the top level of Bondi Junction shopping centre and near the cinema so it is perfect for grabbing dinner before a movie. It is a large restaurant so not too many dramas with it being booked out. I went with my family for dinner and service was prompt and friendly. We got some amazingly soft and sweet bread to start and a few drinks. All of the table ordered a steak of different cuts. With the exception of one, most steaks were a tad over (ie the medium rare was medium, the medium was well etc.) The ones that were cooked effectively were the rare ones. That said, it is quality meat that was very nice. We got a range of sides like sweet potato fries and stringy onion rings which were great. I like that the menu is super large, you can choose your sides, sauces and order extra additions. In the higher price range so suitable for a special dinner.

Great bar n grill in the Junction. Boerwoers are a must and also creamed spinach! Careful with the complimentary brioche, it's massive!Awesome views of the east and city from almost every seat.

Kelly's at Bondi is my family's favourite for a great feed. We've been coming here for years! Our go to spot for occasions and special visits. Tonight's service was exceptionally great but overall consistent quality of food over the years is second to none. We always order lamb ribs, garlic prawns and Caesar salad. Tonight's eye fillet couldn't be more mouth watering. Barramundi was the special fish and cooked very well and taste very fresh. Keep up the great service and delicious food! Ps. My photos are terrible!

The food is great especially the steak however the service is average. Staff is a bit cold and not attentive. Good location near the cinema. Will be a good choice before or after movie.

Thumbs up for customer service! They accidentally made a mistake with our group booking but fixed it up later on. We had the set menu E - serving size was very generous. I was full from their entrees. Their foods were very high quality and tasty!

A relatively large steak and rib restaurant that’s very convenient for pre or post movie viewing. Kelly’s has been a cornerstone of the restaurant quarter since its inception, outlasting all its neighbours. It’s been some time since I was last there and I have to say I was disappointed. The food is still good, the steak perfectly cooked but it was all the little things the brioche bread is no longer complimentary (we still ordered it but it was small, not the “medium” size described) and it’s not fresh, whereas before it always came fresh out of the oven. The salt and pepper now comes in a supermarket pre-mixed disposable grinder and the bbq sauce is no longer in a proper bottle but a jar. All of which would have been ok if it were a pub meal but Kelly’s is charging proper restaurant prices. Others are now doing it better but there’s still hope that Kelly’s can hit their sweet spot again

The steaks are reasonably good, even though they are slightly expensive compared to the same quality you get elsewhere. The before-meal breads are surprisingly soft and tasty. Staff service is good. Look forward to dine properly here next time.

How to kill a lobster in 10 minutes!!!
Was really looking forward to this except the chef decides to leave it on the grill till it’s no longer lobster !! Absolutely certain that the scallops have been sliced horizontally and put back in the shell they were lucky to have been 1cm thick !!!
Disappointing and expensive

Had the large lobster mornay at Lobster Tail Seafoods, conveniently located at Westfield Bondi Junction and best of all with free parking. The mornay did not taste as nice as expected although price is probably half that of a fancy restaurant. I ordered a seafood pack after which was really good.

Excellent service and decent food considering it’s a food court. The lobster tail was a little over cooked, but otherwise nice meal. Kids meals were lovely and decent serving size.
We paid $80 for two lobster halves. It was a long wait before they arrived. We might as well have been presented with a pair of rubber boots!!!.. the lobsters were extremely overcooked so they were very dry, rubbery and chewy... also lacking the garlic n spices promised.
Although the staff was polite and courteous we will NOT go back for lobsters but may try some other seafood dishes.... hopefully they will be able to redeem themselves.

The grilled fish was nice but everything else wasn't. We had to wait a long time and it was expensive for what we got. If i ever go back which i might not, i will only order the grillef fish but then again there must be good grilled fish somewhere else since it's bondi. Try it if you like nothing else in the food court.

This is one of the food outlets in the Level 5 food court at Westfield Bondi Junction. They have an exclusive seating area with nice Sydney views. I ordered the special which included grilled fish with chilli coriander sauce, salad and chips. The fish is fresh and nicely flavoured. I absolutely loved the chips though which are super crunchy!

Overpriced! It costs $29++ for the lobster and chips. The texture of the lobster was not that soft but the chips were good. The topping of the lobster was too creamy and I couldnt taste the cheese
Aileen
The lobster was not as soft as I thought it would be. The cheese toppings was decent but quite weird since it was too creamy like soup. The fries was okay and the price was too expensive $29+

When I went to order item number 37. Fresh Seafood Platter (see photo), I was asked to pay $34.95. The menu clearly says $29.95. The reason given was that the lobster tails are bigger today. This is not right. You need to charge the price on the menu. I asked for my money back. I hope the authorities catch up with these guys before they skin too many tourists. My daughter had a kids fish and chips. Fairly hard to screw this up. It was ok.

Seriously don't bother. No effort taken at all. Bad value for money. The majority of my plate was brown rice. The salad was just a thrown together bunch of bits. The prawns were tasteless and for supposedly "garlic" prawns there was no garlic and they were just tossed across the top of the above. The wedge of lemon was ok.
