Review The Kitchen David Jones - Bondi Junction

Visited the food hall at David Jones Bondi Junction on a Sunday morning. There was an interesting range of gourmet and premium foods ranging from fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, pre-prepared meals to less known brand snacks and biscuits. Always well displayed, it's a pleasure to browse the food hall, but expect to pay premium prices

This branch does not offer the same quality of customer service as seen in other DJ stores. Staff on the floor seems quite limited, and on numerous occasions security tags have mistakenly been left on purchased items. My most recent shopping experience required a second trip when the security tag on a large suitcase I purchased was left on. Customer service refused to acknowledge the mistake and were not helpful.

Always good shopping, then lunch at the fabulous bistro style restaurant. Freshly cooked, prepared while you're there. Also offering good wines. Staff exceptional, friendly great service. Beautiful decor modern, sit at the bar area, 🍸 Great to catch up with friends quick service if you're in a hurry. A must go to wHen you shop at DJ'S or anytime.

Today, one of my friend recommend me to try food at DJ food Hall, so I went and excited to try their food. Because I work in the centre - Westfield Bondi Junction I thought I should give a try. I ordered roasted beef roll from the food hall. However, it tasteless, dry, the chips also dry not hot. I couldn’t even finish my food. Then two hours after I had the roasted roll, I felt I want to throw up. I’ve decided to come and speak with someone from DJ. One of the staff name Linda was very helpful and follow up. I love food and I don’t mind to spend money on my food if it’s good and worth it. However I am disappointed with the quality of the food with price $15 ( dry, tasteless and cold roast beef roll). I’m not asking for free meal etc. I’m writing this review hoping that you can improve the quality of the food. But in the meantime I won’t come back yet.

Wife online orders a dress that comes with a belt from David Jones; it arrives but without the belt. We go in to exchange the dress with one that has a belt, and there is none in store so another dress is ordered for us. Second dress is delivered, also without belt. C'mon people, it's not that hard.

Women on Sisley counter was exceptionally rude. Made me feel quite small from a simple mistake I made. Felt awful for a while after from her demeanour to me. Really really bad response from her and bad form as a customer service person.

If i could give a zero star review i would. From the moment i lined up i was given the FILTHIEST look from the girl working behind the counter, I was not treated at all by the standard I know DJ's expect their staff to treat customers and have never been looked at so rudely by a staff member anywhere - disgusting.

Great new contemporary designed Food Hall and Dining space. Food was restaurant quality but the service unfortunately let the overall experience down. It was difficult to catch the Waiters/Waitresses attention and they seemed unsupported, no Manager to be seen, kitchen staff didn't talk to each other, the staff generally looked quite unhappy to be working there...perhaps they are all underpaid or don't have sufficient hospitality experience!?!
