Review Trio Cafe - Bondi

Maximillion L
We have visited Trio twice recently and we had the same thing on both occasions. I like the tagliatelle very much although it might not be “home made”. It was nicely cooked, the king prawns were very fresh, the sauce was very tasty perhaps a little old fashioned and the serving was very generous. 4/5 However my partner didn’t like the steak sandwich on both occasions. The steak’s flavour was merely ok. The sandwich has too much going with relish and mayo, and they didn’t taste good. The chunky chips did not have nice flavours and taste underwhelming. They were not quite crispy on the outside nor quite soft on the inside. They weren’t hot but just warm. That’s such a shame. The salad was very fresh though. 2/3 The coffee didn’t impress at first but it got much better after a few sips. And very goid by the end. The staff were efficient and attentive but I am not sure they were all that friendly and relax. If anything they were all a little cold. If you can get a seat by the big window and look over the bay. It’s a real treat.

Great food, 300m walking distance from the Main Beach. Has choice of indoor/outdoor seating. Awesome but unique food... French Toast with Nutella is a must-try, yum.. Not all staff were smiling and happy hence the 4 star rating. Once again, awesome menu and recommended. Check out my photos

Came here for the review, good was good, however price appears on the high side compared to other cafes in the area. I would consider this more of a restaurant than a cafe. So expect the pricing to reflect accordingly. Surcharge on weekend is a bit over the top, understandable for public holidays, but on a standard weekend? Just add the cost into your meals.

Must try!!! GREAT tasting food and staff. Had the King prawn pasta, the spaghetti with meatballs and the Nutella French toast. They have a wide variety of food in their menu, organic and even gluten free and vegetarian dishes. You can choose to be seated along the sidewalk, al fresco with the view of the beach or indoors and still have a great view of the beach.

I love brunch! Great views of Bindi beach. They have blankets and:or a space heater if you get cold, quick service, nice waitresses. Breakfast omelet was tasty. Coffee was very good. Closes at 3:30pm on Saturdays.

Coffee was so awesome I ordered two, which I never do. Every one's food at my table looked awesome, and they all confirmed it tasted great. I found mine a bit underwhelming because it was a little cold and everything was a bit too oily. The food was also pretty expensive which is not a surprise considering the location. Decent view of bondi.

Could not fault this place. The service was great from the moment we arrived. We had a coffee first and that was made at the right temp and was strong enough. We all ordered different meals and they were all amazing. The location was brilliant as we could see right down iconic Bondi beach. I tried to find a way to not give out 5 stars as I believe you have to go way beyond to receive 5 stars off me, however when we were told we could split the bill 5 ways I then couldn't find any faults

Came for Sunday brunch on Mothers' Day. Very busy, and the food took more than 40 mins to arrive. Service staff was friendly and attentive, but kitchen was understaffed with 4 chefs. Shakshouka was delicious (both green and red). Wagyu burger was just ok, as was the corn fritters (a little bland). The Trio tasting plate was the best way to try a little bit of everything. Sweet potato fries were yum, kids loved the pancake. Reservations are needed with limited seating, great place for a sunny weekend brunch.

Scrambled eggs are a little bit over cooked. Affogato was quite good. Nice decorations.

It’s not the best cafe in Bondi beach for my opinion. Definitely a good place for the view and good vibes. But the size of the food and coffee were over priced. I had a hot chocolat and honestly I finished it in less than 3 minutes and normally I am a slow drinker. And the food I had this eggs benny with pulled pork. Omg it really was just toast with pork and 2 eggs. Not enough sauce and no salad. $24.5 wow. This place has been in my list for long time finally I visited. Not sure if I’ll come back.

A very nice cafe with a great location. Just love the sandwiches and pasta. Pineapple juice is really good! I would recommend pasta and open sandwiches. You will not be disappointed.

You need to wait for tables, the service is not great and the food is very average. I don’t understand why is sooo full everyday if you have some many better options in Bondi!

Trio was a bit disappointing it got a great rating on Zomato and location was convenient but the food and service was a bit of a let down.
The meal took about 30 minutes to come out
The green smoothie was delicious- it has a thick yet smooth consistency and would definitely have again but seemed a bit overpriced for $13
My friend got an open chicken sandwich which again was just okay nothing special for $21. Chicken was a bit dry and the bread had gone soggy except the top piece.
I got a Mediterranean plate which I swapped out haloumi for chicken - the chicken was dry and there was lots more eggplant and zucchini than anything else for $26. I know Bondi it’s more expensive but i don’t think I would go back .

This was my first time at Trio cafe, and of course we picked a Sunday, the busiest day of the week for brunches! We waited about 45 minutes for a table, which is to expected. The staff were lovely, friendly and professional. Great coffee and the food was delicious. I had the BBQ pulled pork eggs Benedict, SO good. The only downside was it appears out order was forgotten as we waited over an hour for meals, with other tables who were seated after us receiving their meals well before us. However the great food and service overcame the wait time. I will definitely be back, but maybe not on a Sunday!

I come back to this cafe every time I’m in Sydney! The boss eggs are by far the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had in my life! Also lovely staff-always super polite and attentive!
Josie
amazing food amazing view and amazing staff. Blew my mind and even if the price tag is a bit much it was definitely worth it and would loveee to come again

Beautifully located at the front of the beach. Food are huge enough. Price is quite expensive but well you got what really you paid for. Tap water is beautiful here, It has mint leaves inside. Overall, well done trio!
Vanessa
Friendly service and staff were very accommodating to my food allergies! The green breakfast bowl was amazing!! Great place to stop by for a meal and coffee ☕️

food 4/5
service 3/5
environment 4/5

the place near the bindi beach, which is beautiful place for brunch after viewing the ocean. the food is amazing, coffee is rich flavor and we all satisfying. the only problem is the pasta is too oily. May be less oil when made the sauce.
Onara
One of the best breakfasts in town. Big serves of delicious brekky bits and pieces, with plenty from which to choose. Coffee is very good. And the ambience reminds me of the dining room at an English seaside guesthouse

What do I say about Trio, Bondi Beach. Great food and even better coffee. In a city bursting at the seams with amazing coffee outlets, Trio stands out. Their coffee has a bold and unique flavour and in 3 or 4 outings, I have yet to have anything other than a 5 star meal!

Instagram1👉thebreakyrecce

Great location overlooking Bondi beach and friendly staff. Efficient text message booking system to let us know when our table was ready. Menu looked promising with wide selection of interesting sounding dishes. Unfortunately, when food came out, it was ok but nothing special. Pretty standard mix of food and flavors. Absolutely nothing to justify the 4.7 rating this place had. Coffee was also on the average side.

Was there at a rainy day so the queue wasn’t too bad. Had an outside table with my 🐶 and the staff was amazingly sweet! Coffee was really good so I had two, a soy latte and a cappuccino, both sensational. The pasta was yum too. But according to the high rating, of course I was expecting something even better. Will be back next time to try the French toast highly recommended by staff.

This cafe was awful! I don't understand how it has a 4.8 rating! I ordered a simple plate of eggs on toast...the eggs were inedible and left me feeling sick all day. They were the worst tasting scrambled eggs I've ever had, I'm not sure what they put in them. The toast was served with a single pack of Western Star butter...I felt like I was at a cheap motel breakfast. So disappointing given the high rating and reviews.

Trio is a must do Bondi experience. It can be a bit pricey for a cafe meal, but Trio is stellar cafe food, with white table cloth-service. And some of the best coffee in town!

Came here around midday on a Tuesday. At first I was a bit hesitant coming here because of how simple some of the dishes looked from the photos here on zomato, and also how they were priced. We decided to give it a go anyway and no regrets whatsoever. The pasta was light but still so flavoursome. The shakshuka was also really good, where the egg yolk was still nice and runny but would've been even better if we were given more bread (which was delicious) . The breakfast burrito was nice with a good amount of spice, the sweet potato fries were crispy, and the Nutella French toast was a good way to finish as it was sweet and light. Of all the good dishes I had ordered here, the pasta is my favourite. I also ordered a Nutella banana milkshake and it was to die for!! The service I experienced was pleasant, the food was delicious, and the view of the beach was ofc amazing. I would recommend and I will be coming back here :)
Zhengyuan Li
Really enjoyed the view and the food. The boss egg is amazing and the tumeric ginger almond latte is tasty. Next time I want to try the burrito! Will definitely recommend this to my friends.

The food and view here was wonderful. I came here with my friend to enjoy lunch. From where we sit we could see Bondi beach. The time we wait for our food was a bit long but the taste was good especially for my wagyu meatballs with pasta. My friend said her mango pancake sauce was a little sour and tastes not like the mango sauce. But her mocha was excellent!

What a sensational spot! We chose Trio based on other reviews and were NOT disappointed. For our mid-week lunch, we were greeted by friendly staff who immediately found us a table and got a little booster seat out for our son. She then brought a little colouring in book and pencils for him which he was stoked about - so lovely, we were very appreciative.

My husband chose a beer and the steak sandwich. It was HUGE! He loved the flavours, especially the bacon jam - a real highlight. One of the best steak sandwiches he's had and he's a critic on this one! I chose the prawn fettuccine and honestly... it was amazing. I couldn't fault it. Perhaps a tad oily but the oil was so flavourful, I could forgive that! The prawns were juicy, the pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was wonderful. Such a generous portion too, we both loved everything about our lunches. I also chose the mint frappe and it was one of the best, if not THE best, frappe I've had - so refreshing and delicious.

Amazing service, fantastic food, lovely ambience, just a top spot and well deserving of five stars (which I don't give our lightly).
Cinntonic
Fresh, tasty and beautiful meals. Huge brunch menu, most dishes are $20-25 but are generous portions. Our coffees weren't so good, but the staff sorted it out.
Famished
Variety galore with the fabulous breakfast board! A platter each for savoury and sweet makes it the best of both worlds. Tip: Arrive with an empty stomach!

While I was eating my pasta I was thinking yum and so fresh! My son finished his plate on his own. Wow!
Ordered the tagliatelle with king prawns and spaghetti with Wagyu meatballs. Best meatballs ever!
Great service too
Mike S
Very great place to eat and drink. Highly recommended to get bacon and egg roll with cheese and fruit frappe. One of the best coffees in Bondi too.
Angela Nguyen
Very overpriced with mediocre basic breakfast food. We tried the tasting menu and while this was decent, it's definitely not worth the price you pay. There are plenty of better cafes in the area - don't fall for the tourist trap!!
Tulika Kabra
Excellent choices of food and drinks! Loved them. Came across this cafe while we were at Bondi for the kite festival. The food, the ambience and the service was outstanding. Tried shakshuka for the first time and fell in love. The coffee and the art on top of it was amazing. Simply amazing and highly recommended.
Service - 4.5/5
Taste - 4.5/5
Ambience - 4.5/5
Value for Money - 4/5

The best breakfast in bondi. The menu is Pretty huge and everything sounds good so it can be hard to choose but it doesn’t actually matter what you choose because it will be good.

The standout for me is chilaquiles. Think breakfast nachos, but better. They make great coffee too.

Is a little bit on the pricier side for a cafe but it’s probably worth it.
Manz
Glad I persisted even when they told me there was going to be a 30mins wait on a hot sunny day. First of all, they were efficient. I doubted when the staff took my number & text me when the table is available, but true form a text came through just within 30mins. I was seated swiftly at possibly the best table in the place, comfy couch seats by the wall right next to the open front, great view of the nice day outside & the beach across the road. My Chilaquiles was surprising (I've never had one before), it's effectively a nacho on top plus a chorizo omelette underneath. Everything just gel together, delicious individually or eaten together. It wasn't too heavy for brunch either. The country style lemonade was refreshing without being too tangy nor sweet. The service throughout was great & friendly. Most definitely recommend.
The Engineer Eats
Headed for brunch here as it is so highly rated in Zomato! We tried the tasting plate which contains 3 savories and 3 sweets mini dishes including hummus, shashuka, corn fritters, sundae, French toast and pancake, quite unique! I like the idea but hubby wasn't too keen. He had a separate toast and thought it was too thin in thickness. Coffee was good. Staff friendly.
Steve
Well no wonder it's rated highly. Quick service, great food and amazing location. French toast was spot on, as was my Mediterranean breakfast

Nice service, nice food! Satisfied food size that I have only ate half plate lol, Such a great morning! I will definitely come again 😋😋😋It's such a great experience that I can't help myself making my first comment !!!!

Service :-

With over 30 minutes to closing time, we were not very "welcome" to this place. Told strictly to finish up in 30 minutes as the kitchen would close.

The girl taking our order was not pleasant at all.

I usually don't like to write detailed reviews about places that are just not worth visiting again. This is one such place.

Food is expensive owing to a beach location near Bondi.

Overall, a weak 2/5 with 1 star for the view and another for a decent portion size.

Can surely skip this one!!!
Anna
This place is always so busy! Came here for a late lunch on Sunday and there was a 30min wait. It was very windy and felt the atmosphere to be a bit cool. There's a nice view of the beach, and decor is more on the classy fine dining side.

They have an extensive menu, with lots of choice. I ordered a soy mocha - the Belgium chocolate makes it very rich. Very over priced - tiny glass for $5.30. The Shakshouka was cooked well, the poached eggs were runny, & hummus was fresh. I wouldn't have minded some more Turkish bread. The stand out dish was the boss eggs - love the truffle scrambled eggs.

Portion sizes are huge, which explains the more expensive pricing. Most of us couldn't finish the food.
Le Lo
Had the tagliatelle with king prawns and shakshouka from their brunch menu which were very good. Extra points - service was good and food quality did not go down although the place was busy with the Festivals of the Winds being held at Bondi Beach that day.

Trio was an absolute delight.
Customer service was great, location is amazing and the food was perfect.
I had the shakshuka and it was so good!! Only regret is that I didn't buy the bottled sauce!
Julie
We decided to try out this place after seeing its high rating. The customer service was great. We got the Mediterranean breakfast, shakshouka and iced coffee.

While the shakshouka was quite good, I have to say the Mediterranean breakfast wasn't worth the buck. The bacon was way too salty!! The iced coffee was okay but definitely not worth $9.

Currently on the bench about whether to give this place another go. Perhaps we'll consider the other more popular dishes next time.

I saw the rating of 4.9 on Zomato and I thought it was too good to be true hahaha. When I walked in the waitress was very friendly. I decided to sit outside because it was nice and warm for a winter's morning.

I ordered the lemongrass tea with fresh ginger but they just gave me lemongrass tea. I also ordered the shakshouka, it came out in a cute little pan with Turkish bread and hummus on the side. It had a nice tomatoey flavour with some spice. It was really good when it was mixed with the hummus.

I really enjoyed my breakfast but I don't think Trio quite deserves the near perfect score of 4.9 on Zomato. The staff were really friendly and I'd come back here if I was staying in Bondi, I'd probably try the porridge next time.

Went on a mini spontaneous trip to Sydney and had to stop at Trio because of the amazing review on zomato on the way to our trip to Bondi beach.
I thought the customer service was spot on, the staff were very friendly and helpful when I had trouble deciding what to get. In terms of the milk chocolate that I tasted of my boyfriend, it was the best hot chocolate I have ever had! :)
I ordered the boss eggs while he ordered the shakshouka. I thought the boss eggs were quite nice, however I didn't have much appetite hence found it hard to finish. On the other hand, my boyfriend quite enjoyed shakshouka.

Love At First Bite
Find us on instagram: loveatfirstbite_aus

Trio is a cafe situated right by Bondi beach, offering terrific views of this iconic Sydney beach together with great food. We tried this cafe on a hot summer’s day and will share with you our experience.

We ordered three dishes, the first was the trio breakfast tasting plate; with bircher muesli, french toast, pancake, corn fritter & shakshouka and bread with hummus. This was a great tasting platter, it had a bit of everything from sweet to savoury and showcased all of Trio’s best dishes. My favourite was the fluffy and sweet french toast and I also enjoyed the corn fritter.

Decided to stopped by for brunch at this cafe after doing the coogee to bondi coastal walk. I went in on a Friday and it was relatively busy but i was still able to get a table right away with a beautiful view of Bondi beach. I ordered the shakshouka and an iced mocha; the dish was really tasty, wholesome and rich tomato flavour goes so well with the bread. I did find the prices at this cafe on the higher side. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were friendly and attentive. Nice cafe to stopped by if you're in the area.

We arrived there at 7:30am to get a chair in the morning sun, with a view of Bondi Beach. Fantastic quality food, with interesting flavour combinations that blend perfectly. Good service and coffee too.

Nothing special which left us somewhat bewildered by the high rating here on Zomato. Trio smacks of a tourist trap that seems to impress by serving quantity over quality. You can do much better for breakfast in Sydney.
Wannabe Foodie
I didn't particularly enjoy the green eggs at trio. The sauce was missing something. The coffee was good and the chocolate sprinkling on top was a nice touch. My friends didn't particularly love their dishes either. It could have been better.

We visited this location due to its high ratings and weren't disappointed. Comfortable seats, quick friendly service, tasty big breakfasts. What more could you want??

What a crazily high rating this place has! We got this as a tip from a friend but the rating definitely convinced us. We made a reservation at around 11.30 for 1pm, then we went for a swim at Icebergs and came back for lunch. Service is great, friendly and patient. We asked whether their meat was free range, they went to check and told us almost everything comes from Field to Fork, a nearby free range butcher. For the bacon and ham they weren't sure because it comes from a different supplier, they tried to call them but they didn't pick up. What a great effort. Took the green smoothie because someone wrote on zomato that it was the best ever and it was definitely delish. Strong latte was good too.
We took the chicken sandwich and green shakahouka. Weren't convinced by the flavours of the food unfortunately. Were ok, but not as good as expected also considering the high price. The chicken on the sandwich might have been better if it was smoked. The sun-dried tomato mayo on the bread didn't taste like much at all.

It is not cheap, certainly not in the weekends because of 10% surcharge. E.g. paid $13,75 for the smoothie which seems a bit ridiculous. Total bill was around $70 for two drinks and two dishes.

Sitting there was superlovely. I think we had one of the best spots on the couch near (not on) the window. Lovely view, fresh breeze.

I would definitely go back and try another dish.

Leon
Amazed how Trio gets 4.9 out of 5.0 or close to perfection. It is not exceptional and it's not worth coming back again. I ordered their corn fritters but the corn tastes eerily similar to the frozen corn I bought from Woolworths. Hence, the corn fritter tastes not naturally sweet. The batter could be more evenly mixed and adding a few spices will enhance the taste of the corn fritters.

Nonetheless, you should try their fruit juices if you were there.

This place was great! The decor isn't the most amazing I've ever witnessed, but Bondi beach across the street certainly makes up for that. The food they serve at this place makes it worth every positive rating given by Zomato users. It is fresh, hot, flavoursome and plentiful. The coffee here is what you'd normally get in Melbourne (Excellent standard). I recommended it to my friends and will be back next time I'm in Bondi
Almira
Went here yesterday for my birthday breakfast. We ordered the famous platter which was amazing. A little bit of everything - sweet and savoury! Coffee was good and service was impressive.

Good food ... Good service and great views. Plenty of vegetarian and non vegetarian options . All day brunch and lunch options . Drinks were refreshing and all in all a good restaurant .
Global Foodie & Filmy
Great place and lovely food even though our meal started with a coconut water which was 'off'... They apologetically brought another one which was fine. A waitress changed her shoe took stuff out from the shoe put it back then kept on serving which did not go well with us and kind of spoiled the appetite. Then came the food and it was one of the best... Fresh.. full of flavours and from a great menu.
Mandy
Great food, great coffee, great juice and great service! Full of flavour fresh tasty ingredients perfect eggs crispy bacon super fresh avocado what a wonderful experience thankyou very much! :)
Four4brunch
Stunning views of Bondi beach and fantastic table service wherever you are seated. Portion sizes vary depending on your meal, but the flavours are wonderful, inspired by Mediterranean delicacies.
Prices are slightly inflated being a heavy tourist area, but a worthy concession when dining on a warm sunny day.

Read the full review at four4brunch.com

Excellent from start to finish... great service, friendly and efficient staff. Backed up by a menu with lots of variety and everything Everyone order in our party was fantastic; tasty, sufficient portions and fresh. Highly recommended.

Trio cafe is one of the best rated breakfast spots in Sydney and you can see why. The views of the beach are amazing, catching the breeze from the water. The coffees were smooth and delicious and the service we received was excellent; friendly and bubbly. I had the Mediterranean breakfast which was nice, however presentation was a little ordinary, and maybe a little too oily in my opinion. Though, my partner had the eggs Benedict with pulled pork and he thought it was amazing. We also tried the 'green' smoothie which was the best smoothie I've tasted! Definitely a must try in Bondi, though it was quite expensive (average $27 bucks for a breakfast main) and you do need a reservation!
Winnie Xie
Can't be more disappointed. The highest score on Zoomato so I went and check. The beacon in open sand which was far too salty...mocha was far too sweet... in general, not worth 4.9
Good Food Good Life
good service in an upmarket area, but average to mediocre food, nothing to write home about. must be one of the most overrated restaurants I have ever been.
Bamshad Mohajer
Me and my partner just had a brunch at Trio. I really recommend this place. Good quality food and great hospitality. My partner made a wrong choice for her brunch (not their fault) but nice staffs here offered her another meal (two times) free of charge. That was awesome! Thanks guys at trio :-)

Popped in here for breakfast as I'd heard good things from Instagram. Based on the hill across from Bondi beach so it's a top spot. Big restaurant with lots of space, many wait staff, nice atmosphere and good music. The menu was extensive with all day brunch options and dinner food. It actually has amazing good, unlike many places in the Bondi strip. I got the eggs benedict which was two pieces of really nice fluffy sourdough topped with a delicious hearty pulled pork that was to die for. Two amazingly poached eggs with a slathering of hollandaise sauce. It was so good. Service was fast, incredibly fast I commented on that to the waitress. Got an espresso and macchiato, came with a small glass of sparking that I like. It is a bit expensive, but it is Bondi 😳😜
Seeaych
The tasting plate served at Trio is definitely my favourite Bondi breakfast! It has delicious savoury and sweet elements and everything tastes amazing! It is the best way to try a few different breakfast items in one go. Service at the cafe is quite good considering how busy it is on weekends.
Kelkel
Best breakfast I have ever eaten. Boss eggs are amazing!! I now get my regular fix of Trio. Must try. A little more expensive then most restaurants for breakfast but worth every dollar. You won't be disappointed.
Rebecca Tay
Service is great - super friendly and fast considering the food quality and popularity of the place. The tasting plate offers miniatures of their best sweet and savoury menu items. My favourites were the french toast and the pancake.
If you're doing the Bondi to Coogee walk this is a delicious and convenient start.
Linna
I waited 30 minutes on the beach to be seated and it was well worth it. The atmosphere and service is all very high quality. I ordered a pulled-pork open sandwich, it was very good except the bread was a little too hard for my liking however the pork was flavourful and juicy. It also came with a salad which was very fresh and had just the right amount of sauce. Overall, I think it is a must-go-to place! Even though it is a bit over-priced with surcharge on weekends and public holidays.
Yiqian (Iris) Zhao
I went there after the costal walk from Coogee to Bondi beach on Saturaday morning. It's understandable that there were a lot of people waiting to be seated. They had my name and phone number registered and sent me a message when the table was ready. There are a bunch of cafes along Bondi beach to choose from and we pick this one mainly because Trio has a surprisingly high rating: 4.9. However it doesn't correspond with my experience. It's nice restaurant with tables both inside and outside, but it's just not as good as a almost full score restaurant would be. I ordered smoked salmon bruschetta and I can only say it is ok. My friends ordered middle eastern style brunch with specially made sauce and they said it is really good maybe I should try that.
Mireille
Love this place! Great location across from Bondi Beach, service is 10/10 and the food was delicious, especially the sweet potato fries 🙌🏼
BukanOtotTapiLemak
The place was quite crowded as it is one of the few good place that open for breakfast. Had the breakfast platter and wagyu burger for brunch. Staff was super friendly and the restaurant is nicely facing the beach.
Nupur Khurana
Went to this place for brunch over the weekend. Picked the breakfast tasting platter because we felt greedy and wanted to try everything.
And guess what? Sometimes greed pays off!
We loved the platter - each and every dish, dip, accompaniment was delicious! We had the red shakshouka and the nutella french toast (they usually have the vanilla/cinnamon toast but were nice enough to change it to the nutella one on request).
The mango & lime pancakes were heavenly (as someone else below points out the mango is hard to taste but even so!). The corn fritter was absolutely smashing and even the small helping of muesli. We aren't muesli people really and we loved it!
The staff was very nice and helpful too.
So all in all:
Food : 10/5
Service : 5/5
Speed of service : 4/5
Recommend to friends : Totally! Go here immediately!
Chelsea Xia
We waited for about 50min, but the food and service definitely worth the waiting! Love everything on the tasting plate, especially the corn fritter. However, the mocha was a bit sweet for me. The staff there was really friendly, great service :)
Andie Jose
Amazing food, coffee & staff! Was the best breakfast I've ever had. Highly recommend the Green Shashuka & the Kombucha. My friend had the vegetarian breakfast & fresh juice that was also mouth watering. Will go back next time we're in Bondi. Divine ✔️✔️

Yummy brunch. Had to see what the 4.9 rating was about and it's well deserved. Super quick friendly service with a really cool menu that made it super hard to decide. I went for pulled pork benny (sauce on the side) and green juice. It all came out amazingly fast and tasted delicious- the sauce was the highlight for sure. I want to go back for breakfast boritos
Glutenfree_sydney
I actually went to Trio purely based off the high rating from zomato. Was not disappointed. Service was wonderful and exceptionally friendly. The menu appeared more on the traditional side of things. In saying that my boss brekky was very tasty, truffle oil on eggs was to die for. Good amount of GF options. Coffee was excellent (almond cap), I'm even confident in saying one of the best I've had in Bondi. Overall, a great experience. Bondi is often full of places that are a little too cool. This place definitely isn't one of them.
Uyen
This place is a 10 / 5. On the end of the week/ weekend this place is busy and for good measure. The food is although simple is irresistibly delicious - it's done well. I got the vegetarian eggs and my sister got the breakfast burrito. Really filling - could barely walk up the hill back home. Yeah the menu is on the "pricy side" but it's more than justified with the attentive & welcoming staff, the view from your seats, and a stomach satisfied!

Edit review: 25th Wednesday - the waggu burger was good. Came with a generous mayo. Sweet potato chips were so crunchy and sweet! The way they should be. The bread was a bit dry. I wasn't expecting the eggs but hey it added more richness with the runny yolk. Bacon was crispy and the chutney was spot on. Probably preferred more veggies other than the salad greens and tomato (maybe salad on the side?) Service was great as usual - friendly and attentive staff (asked how our meal was going and if we needed anything like sauces on the side).

The matcha latte I think could've have been mixed a little better. It had quite chunky sediments at the bottom.
Katrina
Really good food, location with beach views is great and the service great as well. It's busy so pre-booking is a must. Nice little booths and a bar. Will definitely go back.

I love this place. From the location to the friemdly staff to the beautiful looking & delicious tasting food. Brunch is a favourite but lunch looks & sounds just as appetising. Love the baked eggs & fluffy hotcakes. And the chips... yes its ok for brunch!

Trio has a great variety of food and we had the trio breakfast tasting plate ($29.5) and a hot chocolate ($5). It was quite filling and an overall great meal. The service was quite good and the cafe has a nice atmosphere.

I Love this place. It has great food and great coffee. Couldn't pick a better breakfast spot than this! Yummm! Their shakahuka is the best!

After seeing the nutella French toast on the menu, there is no surpassing Miss CC and I. As you would know, we ordered a French toast at Ruby's Diner also. Nutella has seriously taken the market away with how it’s been introduced to so much in sweets in the past year or two. No one can decline it. The nutella was evident in this as it was found in all areas, a layer between the two soft brioche, with an adding touch of hazelnut crumble to boost that nutella flavour! Bam, our palatte was taken on a nutella ride! Bananas just helped counter balance the dish and make it seem like we were eating something healthy…

Ahhh! What we had was literally perfect in every way. Full of flavour and filling!
The service is nice and generally helpful but decor is... And logo is an actual joke (sox couldn't stop laughing at it, as a retired graphic designer this was stabbing me in the eye the entire time).
Anyway I would defs return to this place!

My favorite breakfast/brunch spot in Sydney. Great variety. I always get the breakfast platter which has a mix of sweet and savoury dishes. Great location for a post brunch stroll along the beach. The wait can be pretty long on weekends.

Finally got to try this popular brunch spot and we were not disappointed! I tried the corn fritters and they were fresh and delicious. However be careful of when you go, because there can be a long wait if on a public holiday or at a busy time.

Menu is extensive, lots of breakfast options especially for the sweet tooth :) portion sizes are also large and the view is great! It is on the pricey side, but you are in bondi!

For a girl’s brunch catchup, we headed to try the famous Trio cafe at Bondi Beach, ready to try some of their Instagram worthy food! Trio has a great juice menu that lets you pick up to 5 fruits and put them together in a custom drink. I opted for a juice with orange, apple, pineapple, pear and mint ($6.50), and it was so good, and really refreshing! The flavours worked well together and I loved the novelty of picking my own ingredients as well. Around the table, my friends had juices, and one of the famous coffees too ($4), which came with the ‘Trio’ logo stamped on top, and was stunningly presented!

Be prepared for a decent wait time, like anywhere else good in Bondi, but they take bookings which is becoming more of a rarity. An extensive menu with plenty of good options, but all at a price, as I would think this is definitely the most expensive brunch i have had before (and that's before adding the 10% weekend surcharge). However, the food was great (Mediterranean breaky was the tables top choice) and the service was fantastic.

Probably one of the most expensive brunches we've eaten, but the food was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. Friendly staff and a great view, worth the visit!

One of the most popular cafes in Bondi so expect to wait a little. Great food, lovely service and super refreshing juices. Definitely order the DIY Trio breakfast burrito, which tasted just as fun as it's presented.

We were looking for a nice place for a cafe lunch in Bondi and Trio did not disappoint!

It's slightly more upscale than a cafe, with prices to match but food that's totally worth it. We had a freshly-squeezed juice of our choosing and we also enjoyed the "alkalizing greens" drink.

For mains we chose to split the BBQ Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict and the Tagliatelle with King Prawns. Both dishes were to die for. The only reasons this isn't a 4.5/5.0 review: the egg dish was semi-cold by the time it came to our table, and there were only 3 prawns in a dish that cost $28. But otherwise, the food was flawness and the staff friendly and personable.

Trio's is the top brunch spot on Bondi Beach. The atmosphere is classy and quiet, definitely the place to go for an intimate brunch with a beautiful view of Bondi Beach. Attracts a more sophisticated crowd too. Service is top notch, and the food is consistently perfectly delicious - the price is certainly worth it. A must for brunch lovers.

I had the best breakfast I've ever had here in Sydney at trio. The boss eggs lived up to their name. Silky and creamy, full of flavour. Great coffee. Beautiful location. You may have to wait for a table but it's worth it!

So its early on Sunday – I feel like the cloud across the sun. I head down to Bondi for a lovely breakfast and I am feeling pretty famished actually. I settle on the breakfast tasting platter but first a wake-me-up coffee. The Breakfast Tasting Platter. Let me go through the savoury items:

Wonderful place with a wonderful view, the service at Trio's is impeccable! Had the prawn pasta which was simply delicious! The pasta was cooked to al dente, and when coupled with the delicious sauce, the dish is absolutely stunning.

The boss eggs is extremely good, scoop the prosciutto with some avo and the gorgeous scrambled eggs, eat it altogether in one spoonful for a delightful rainbow taste!

The mango pancakes were the final dish. It was absolutely amazing. The pancakes were so fluffy!! Strawberries and blueberries were scattered on the pancakes, and the special mango sauce was just delightful.

I will definitely come again when I have the chance, and will recommend it to all who are in the area!

I came here with a group of five for brunch, and despite the cafe buzzing with activity we were seated quickly.

Wait staff had a good sense for when we were ready to order, and the food came out quickly. If you want a simple but very tasty meal, I highly recommend the Boss eggs.

This place really cares about customer experience — the service was on point! Overall the food wasn't exceptional, a few items were a little too unusual for me (coffee + vanilla French toast) so I didn't get exactly what I expected. However it was completely made up for by the service.

I'd happily return here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Simply one of the best cafes I have had the pleasure to visit in Sydney.

On a sunny Monday morning (read: no queue) we had a spacious linen set table and great service.

With so many tempting menu items we went for the sampler. And what a winner.

You have to try this place.

Recommanded by neighbors who said this is the best cafe in bondi . And here we are 9 am in the morning , sitting in the nice and clean cafe with the view of the beach( also the people ,) . Choice is a terrible thing when it comes to the first time , somehow they have a tasting place which includes muesli , french toast , pancake , corn fritters and shakshouka. Corn fritter is my favorite of the day , they sour cream with the sauce just simple but tasty and shakshouka is also very good which comes with two toast and a dipping mousse . Muesli is well done with the fresh fruit and not too dry . French toast is not too sweet and you can taste the eggs which i like . Pancake is so sweet with the maple syrup just the way i like to finish the meal . Like this cafe so much ,will go back for the corn fritter !

Decided to have breakfast here this morning after seeing the high reviews on Zomato and Trip advisor. Have to say we were not disappointed. I had the mango and lime buttermilk pancakes with fresh fruit, cream, maple syrup and lemon curd. The combination was excellent. Everything complimented each other well and the lemon curd broke the sweetness.
My husband ordered the vegetarian breakfast which was equally good. The view overlooking Bondi beach is perfect.

Nice place, friendly staff and tasty food. Sweet potato fries and Trio breakfast are must try. Just don't like the Saturday and Sunday surcharge.
