Review Pompei's Bondi - Bondi

The service and food was ok, the quality of pasta and pizza were not up to the mark when compared to some well known Italian restaurants in Sydney. Overall not a great experience.

My favourite pizza place for the 17 years I have lived in Sydney. Consistently good and great value. Never had anything bad there across the menu. Atmosphere is great in good or bad weather. Outdoor is well set up for raining days/nights.

Great ambiance and awesome food! If you go during Friday or Saturday night expect a small wait in being served but other than that defa recommended

The best ice cream in Bondi. You can feel the passion they put on what they do. We had the yogurt & passionfruit and the ricotta & olive oil. Both were really good but clearly the last one is the star of the place. Bravo 👏🏻

The pasta was tasteless, they served us a pizza with pesto on top? Customer service was average. Good for someone who's never been to Italy to have that fake Italian restaurant feeling.

Found this amazing italian place on the app "the fork" and it was a great idea to go there. Went there for lunch, we enjoyed every dish. The staff is friendly and attentive, the menu has a wide range of italian dishes but the pizza was the higlight of our meal. One of the best pizza i have tried in Bondi. Totally worth it!!!

Amazing pizza and amazing coffee and amazing ice cream!!!!! The staff are Italian and so hospitable and kind and polite! What a pleasure to eat here with my friend and also I came back for afternoon tea! If you love good pizza, good ice cream and good coffee come to Pompei's.

I went to make a reservation at Pompeii as its always been a favourite with our family. Couldn’t believe @Ankur Passi - is so harsh to give a 2star review - even the photos of the food he posted looks great! (@Ankur - For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you) . This is a great place for pizza and more. Great gelato too

We happened to come across this place when we were looking for a place to eat in Bondi . Must say this is by far the best Italian food we have had in a long time. Loved the pastas we ordered and the gelato .. can't wait to come back and try more dishes . Kudos to the team for the service and taste!

Thank you for an amazing lunch today😘😘😘😘 We walked around Bondi looking for somewhere to have lunch most places were closed. But!!! We turned the corner there stood Pompei's Bondi open, warm and welcoming. We went in were met with a welcoming smile and shown a seat, handed a specials menu, wine list and the main menu then left to peruse them. After just the right amount of time the amazing waitress arrived and took our order addressed our questions with good knowledge of the food available. We ordered the spaghetti with capers, chilli, anchovies and cherry tomatoes and the gnocchi gorgonzola. We had gnocchi at a restaurant in the Rocks area Sydney two days ago and they were not a patch on the gnocchi that we had today. The gnocchi we had today were soft, tasty, light and beautiful in the mouth absolutely amazing. The spaghetti was just as good, plenty of taste, the sauce was to die for. Altogether a fantastic meal. Make sure you try the Italian hot chocolate WOW!!!!!!! Thanks guys. We will be back😍😍

Amazing, kind staff, very fast food and tastes so nice!

Just ate here tonight with friends. The manager is disgustingly rude and arrogant and has no customer service skills. I queried something on the bill politely and was received with defensiveness and rudeness which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I will be calling to speak to the owner tomorrow because it was honestly revolting behaviour. To have someone who represents your business in such a manner is despicable!

Pompei's over priced food and rude service ruined my mothers day last night. The food took 45 minutes to be made, I had to get up to get my own plates and pepper, then chilli, then I had to get up for water. And at the end of the meal when I went to tell the owner how disappointed I was, she walked away and went to serve ice creams. I have never come that close to leaving a place without paying. I feel humiliated and disgusted that I spent my money there. Had the most wonderful mother's day until we had dinner at Pompei. Stay away!

My family and I have been eating at Pompeis for 13.5 years since the restaurant opened. In addition we regularly get take aways. The food has been consistently excellent and the service always outstanding. The owners and the staff always go the extra distance to provide high quality service and food.They make running a restaurant smoothly look easy when its a mostly a stressful and challenging job. Sometimes customers need to be a bit understanding and more tolerant and have a better attitude when expressing their dissatisfaction.

The service and food are excellent. Family friendly and great gelato! Had a wonderful experience.
