Review Bennett St Dairy - Bondi

Adrian Wong
Very generous portion of delicious smashed avo and tasty banana bread made our breakfast. The giant soft dough cookies are awesome also.

I ride 10km across town to get to the Dairy. Coffee is great, but its the chocolate chip cookies that I come for. Friendly staff. Well worth the visit.

Don't bother with the coffee, it tastes like warm milk. Food is okay, and the people have always been semi friendly. I'd go if there was no where else open on Bondi Road, but plenty of other cafes down the street that actually know how to make a coffee.

The white chocolate macadamia cookie is sooooo dayam goooood especially fresh in the morning. I mean, slight crunch on the exterior, cake-like butter texture. It smells like cake. Smells like a well-buttered scone. But with all the moist. I may be addicted. I'm not sure. I'm going back for sure.

At the beginning I rated this place with 2 stars because the cookie pizza was not cooked inside. After the owner politely contacted me and we had a chat. I told him that it looks like they used yeast and it didn’t rise or if they didn’t use yeast they probably cooked it using too high temperature for short time and that big cookie is too thick to be cooked in that way. Even the smell inside it was the same smell that raw dough has. A friend of mine bought it for my birthday, so I ate it anyway because it was a present and I felt sorry not doing it, but then I had stomachache. From the picture you can see that it’s not cooked inside and you can see that I was also able to knead it again! Kind of funny, but not if you think they sell it to the clients. So my friend wanted to have a refund because he said it was also expensive, but besides that I think they should not sell this item because it’s unhealthy for the clients. Or at least they should make it thinner like a pizza, so it can cook properly. Or cooking the top part and the base one separately and then put them together just after, filling the centre with nutella or whatever they like. The owner polarity refunded us, saying that their policy is if for any reason someone doesn’t like any of their products they offer a full refund. So I decided to rate them with 3 stars because I see they really care about their clients, he wanted to chat to fix the problem and they take real pride in everything they do. Those are things that can happen, but even looking at the other reviews I’m pretty sure they use to make good food and the problem it was just the cookie.

Having breakfast and coffee with my boyfriend. So much enjoy with this place. No need to describe much. Just want to share all photos of happiness with you guys. PS. Crab cake dish is the BEST I have ever had for 32 years in my life. It’s fresh crab meat and delicious natural taste.

I go to the one on Blair street and absolutely love it. The staff are friendly and always make good coffee. Unfortunately that was nothing like my experience here. The Staff are rude/ dismissive and the coffee was cold and tasted like milk. I would suggest the owner doing a pop in to this location.

Amazing service and clean environment. The falafel, roasted cauliflower and eggplant was perfect and melted in my mouth. The chili scrambled eggs was perfectly seasoned and cooked. And that $4.50 cookie is a must. It is so big, buttery and chocolately.

Came here for brunch one day, it’s usually quite busy but we were able to get seated. The staff were nice but our server had a little trouble with English and I think that’s whatead to a few mishaps, I had to send my meal back three times because it was my what I had asked for, the first one she gave me a completely different meal even through I made sure she knew because I could tell she was struggling

A charming, pastoral place for casual brunch. The coffee was average but the food was great. We asked for a mix and match of mushroom and salmon Benedict’s, and the server happily customised our order. The presentation was surprisingly cute - the Benedict’s came on a small wooden chop board. Would recommend if you live in the area.

Best place to eat in Bondi. I ate here twice over 2 weeks when staying at a mates house - so this is the local place to go...and i was not disappointed!

Staff are awesome. It is busy but if you pick the right time you can get right in. Outdoor seating on a nice day is good, but inside is full of cute decor too. Very homely.

Food is superb. Eggs Bennet street is my fav. Could eat them daily. The belgian hot choxolate is to die for. If i lived in Bondi - i would get one daily (so probably a good thing i dont!)

Dont miss out on a meal here!

I have been here a few times previously for coffee/hot chocolate but I came here to catch up with a friend over lunch.

We asked which were the popular sandwiches and he said that the corned beef was a favourite, so my friend had that and I tried their fried chicken on brioche which was crunchy and tasty. Portion size are generous and a side of sweet potato fries completed our meal.

Friendly staff and good food. I wouldn't mind coming back to try something from their breakfast options (which is available all day).

Tucked away on the corner of Bennet street is this awesome little hole in the wall cafe. With cute timely finishes, vintage decor, indoor and outdoor seating, this cafe gives a real homely feel from the moment you step through the doors.

The staff are always very friendly and the customer service is great. Nothing better than enjoying a good quality meal sitting by the windowsill with the sun out.

Using only top quality ingredients, the food is always very refreshing, full of flavor and very neatly presented. Eggs are soft and fluffy, cooked to perfection, the house made hash browns are fantastic as are all the breakfast components.

Not a fan of eggs and bacon, well then they have awesome breakfast salad bowls too that are sure to please.

The iced mochachino was to die for from Bennet Street, bursting with character and not missing a beat, we had to restrain ourselves from ordering more than 1.

The main reason we visitors the Bennett street dairy is because the place was absolutely bustling!
We ordered some coffees between us, a milkshake and the daily special smoothie for drinks. The juice was meant to be a tropical mango sort of smoothie with coconut and mint, unfortunately, the mint was so overpowering that you could hardly taste any other ingredient and overall the smoothie was not very nice. The milkshake, however, was exceptional. By far the best milkshake I have ever tasted in a long, long time! The coffees were nice also. For food, we only ordered little treats like the cinnamon scroll and the Bondi rd yogurt. Both of these were scrumptious and we couldn't get enough!

Definitely would recommend this place, for the area, it's one of the best. I wouldn't return for the smoothies but we will definitely return soon to try the poached egg dishes that looked delicious !
Great coffee 👌👌👌 and the Bennet St breakfast bruschetta is the best thing on the menu as well as the take away bacon and egg roll which I add grilled tomato and avocado to.

Another great coffee from Bennett St Dairy. Absolutely love this little coffee shop. Haven't had food here yet but as I sit here sipping I'm watching all the food come out of the kitchen and it looks delicious and good portion sizes too. I did have their sourdough toast with PB and loved it.

The breakfast bowl was incredible, as was the Nutella milkshake! Really good vibe and enjoyed the bit of Bob Marley the lovely staff were playing too.

Just got out of the surf at Tamarama (Tama) on a sunny Sunday morning. Having had my dose of vitamin D for the day, I was on the search for Brunch and a decent coffee.
I drove up Bondi Rd on the hunt for a parking spot, i ended up finding a spot near Waverley oval. I decided to take the path of least resistance, down the hill toward Bondi Beach.
I hadn't been walking too far, when I came across Bennett St Dairy. I noticed the coffee machine and the cold drip, as well as a light vibrant looking interior. I cast my eye over the menu and noticed a few different items that I would be interested in trying. There was an array of healthy breakfast options available, as well as a lunch menu consisting of burgers, sandwiches and and salads.
As to be expected in Bondi, a young British waitress showed me to my seat, the mood was friendly and relaxed. I was provided with a menu and much needed water. On this day, I tooo the healthy option; although I was tempted by the burgers on offer.
I ordered the breakfast bowl which consited of kale, avo, quinoa, sprouts, baby peas, a poached egg, topped with roasted almonds and vinaigrette. I figured while taking the healthy option, why not have the whole fresh coconut to replenish after the surf. The breakfast bowl was tasty full of fresh ingredients and suprisingly, was enough to fulfil my appetite.
However, it was the coffee machine and the cold drip that caught my attention and got me in to the cafe. Unforunately the cold drip was not available. As I was on my way home, I ordered a latte to go. It was a decent coffee with the coffee beans roasted by Pablo and Rusty. The coffee was a well made, not too weak or overly hot.
All in all, it was a good brunch experience. Perfect if you are in the area.

Generous servings at a decent pricing!
A friend told me their local was Bennett St Dairy in Bondi, so when I had a trip planned to Sydney I made sure to check it out! As a visitor from Melbourne, the food capital of Australia, this little Cafe was impressive! When I arrived and there was a line out the door, I knew this was my kind of place. The vibe, staff and food was some of the best I'd experienced in the eastern suburbs. The servings were massive and I left feeling full and satisfied with the quality. The staff were friendly and attentive to my every need. I will definitely be visiting Bennett St Dairy on my next visit and I wish I could call it my local :) boom!

There's no better place to start your Saturday than Bondi's @bennettstdairy... Great food, great service and even greater Bondi vibes. The Breakkie Bowl for breakkie, Hilda's schnitzel burger & a Nutella milkshake are my recommendations! Enjoy :)

I cannot fault this place. The staff were so friendly and attentive. But the food was the shining star. The breakfast bowl was just fantastic, the flavours were an explosion. Fantastic coffee, and such a nice setting for Sunday Brunch. BOOM!

Nice products, very tasty.
We took a chicken with goat cheese and yogurt dressing which was very nice. And also a 10h braised lamb shoulder on a bread slice with haloumi as a side.
Was very good.
Unfortunately there was a problem with the gas and so unable to taste their house made sparkling water and sodas but look forward to try !
Good lunch experience !
