Review Moo Gourmet Burgers Bondi - Bondi

I just love it. I am on a long trip and I had couple of burgers so I was a bit sick of burgers. Anyway I choosed them and it is more then worth. The bun is crispy but soft. The meat is juicy but almost well done. And the fries....OMG. I had couple of great burgers before and Moo Gourmet Burgers definitely join them. The service fast and kind. Absolutely recommend them.

We had a very tasty dinner at Moo Gourmet Burgers. You can customise your burger to your liking. I started with a beef cheese burger and added beetroot, caramelised onions and pickles. The caramel milkshake was nice and it was good that it wasn't salted which appears to be the current fad, our only problem was that the mashed potato balls were a bit too salty!

Food: Just has a regular burger and it was ok. The patty to bun ratio wasn’t really there for the price. Hot chips were good, but I don’t see this place being “gourmet” like they say. 3 Service: Staff were kind but I felt like it wasn’t top tier. It was good but nothing outstanding. 3 Atmosphere: Wow what a view! 5 Cleanliness: I don’t know if they were going for a rustic vibe but I prefer my plates and cups not to have chips and wear marks. The table too could have used a throughout wipe clean as crumbs were in between the cracks. 2 Final rating: 3.25 = 3

Came on a Wed night and it was pretty quiet, but food still took a long time to come and when it finally arrived, the buns were cold, and meat was friendly overcooked. Service was friendly and decor was modern and welcoming. With so many other options on Bondi Beach, I'm definitely not coming back here again.

Staff are very friendly! Situated very close to Bondi beach, with ocean views. Food was great. Would definitely recommend the fries there if you are just looking for a snack! Delicious.

Tried the kangaroo burger here and it's pretty tasty. Price is on par with other restaurants in this tourist area. Good and wide selection of burgers including vegan and gluten free options. Seating is limited and tight. Staffs are friendly but serivce is slow.

No probably has the best view of Bondi as its slightly up on the incline. Food wise, must try the kangaroo burger as it is one of the few places that offers it. Not sure if it was just because of cooking the kangaroo, but the order took a while to get ready evening I was only 1 of 3 patrons at the time.

I've visited this place in winter and honestly the review was much better, this time given the place was packed then I asked for take away, it took so long that I ended sitting and eating in, my average review isn't due to the delay but because the chips were cold and the bund was burned. Not sure I would come back...

Good place with fine burgers and fries. The chicken wings were crispy and hot and tasted nice. The nutella shake was the best amongst everything we ordered. The location is pretty nice, just in front of Bondi Beach. It's a small and cozy place.

👍🏼- lovely view and pretty decent burgers. They claim to make gourmet burgers and I’m not sure that’s so true... My burger was nice, it was edible but I’m not sure it was the nicest burger I’ve had. I ordered one of the vegan burgers, I believe it’s called the sweetpea ? It’s quite expensive for what you actually get, considering you have to order fries separately. I did enjoy it, and I would eat here again if I was asked to but I wouldn’t go out of my way. My boyfriend however really enjoyed his burger, so I guess it’s up to the individual.

👎🏻- service can be a tad slow

Food: 3/5
Presentation: 3/5
Service: 3/5
Location: 5/5

Ordered the Moo special lunch and classic beef. For the special lunch we choose the cheese burger, strawberry milkshake and fries. The burgers were juicy and tasty without overloading it with sauces. So was just perfect for us. I was worried whether the milkshake would be super sweet but it wasn't. It was just right. Would definitely visit moo again it's worth the wait.

Staff was super polite and friendly... The girl at the counter payed heed to my allergies despite being super busy and offered options I could try... For which I defo give this place a full 5 stars...

I've come across many places in Sydney where 1. You're made to feel you're wasting their time and/or 2. Been told convincingly the food has no specified allergens just to go home and have a reaction!

The burgers were delicious... they use free range meats... But fell in love with the burger buns... hot and crusty on the outside... Pillowy on the inside... We had the classic beef and chicken burgers...

Sorry I couldn't get a proper photo... And just have half demolished burgers on there... You get the picture.... ;)

Actually went to the Newtown one but they're closed down now. The food is a lot pricier than other burger joints and it's very overhyped. The chips were good but the burger was a let down. Not worth the price I paid.

On our day trip to the popular tourist destination, Bondi Beach, my partner and I decided we wanted to engorge ourselves with huge burgers for lunch. We walked by Moo as we were coming into Bondi, and decided to try it out. I ordered the 'chicken, bacon and avocado' burger, on a gluten free bun of course. Expecting and wanting a generous sized burger, I was briefly disappointed with the size of mine. I expected it to be a little bigger than what it was. The gluten free bun was slightly sticky and doughy, with pieces of it actually coming off onto my fingers - not the best one I've had. Despite this, it did mean that it was incredibly soft rather than the usual dense, hard bread served with a gf burger. The chicken was quite dry, being breast, which was likely to happen. I did enjoy the overall taste of it however and it satisfied my cravings well enough. It was greasy, included bacon, and had a delicious sauce - all firm requirements of a good burger. I would have ordered a side of chips with my burger however the worker informed me that chips were fried in the same deep-fryer as the onion rings and other crumbed items on the menu, therefore I could not enjoy the perfect match for my burger - fluffy on the inside, yet crispy on the outside potato fries. The service was great and the waitress was super friendly. The one thing I really enjoyed about Moo was the view. You can sit at the window bench overlooking the ocean, watching the Bondi waves roll in.

Lentil burger with sweet potato fries.
It was good , the lentil patty have the textur and not smooth enough , they also have avocado and some veggies on it. The sweet potato fries are crunchy and sweet enough. It cost around 25 dollars. But it took me so long to have my food to served.

Enjoy!

We decided to Moo Gourmet Burgers for some classic Australian beef burgers with a fried egg. If the height of the burger, the ooziness of the cheese and the caramelized onions, and the freshly made buns isn’t enough to persuade you, then I have to tell you – it truly hit the spot. A must try on your way out to Bondi. Plus, there's some air conditioning for some extra cool off from the sun.

3.5 in reality

🥤Ambience: Open, order at the counter, airy and great view of the Bondi waves.
🥤Staff: Very friendly, attentive and great cooks.
🥤 Food: So good after a swim. The moo shakes here are thicc and so gooood. Chips were potatoey and chunky. Burger is very filling with good quality meats.

Though a bit pricey, recommended.

A late review for this place I've visited a few times but never got down to writing one for. First of, the location is spot-on, overlooking the vast expanse of the beach and sea, making it the ideal place to unwind after a swim! I've tried so far the Big Moo, the Flaming Moo and the Black & White. The latter two being my favourites thus far. The burgers are extremely filling, each coming with a handsome helping of veggies and their home-made sauces/marinades. The beef patties are juicy and immediately melt in your mouth with the first bite, not to forget the size of them (so much better than those KFC/McD ones we are used to). The surprising (in a good way) and refreshing thing with the chicken burgers is that they have schnitzels or grilled breasts instead of a patty, and that makes them as wholesome as the beef burgers. The next best part - they serve beer; the perfect foil to the gooey burgers! Haven't tried them, but they have kangaroo meat burgers as well, so a good number of options to choose from. A 4* for the food!
The service tends to get a little slow (so a 3* for that), but the taste of the burgers outweigh that factor anyway, plus they are freshly made so you could forgive them for the delay!

I ordered the flaming moo burger with a side of sweet potato chips and a chipotle mayo on the side which was delish! Burger was spicy like it promised which was nice and the ingredients were fresh and yum! Sweet potato chips were crisp and tasty. All up a good dine out experience

Even if the quality of the food was mediocre, and it wasn’t, this view sort of trumps everything. It’s the perfect place to take out-of-towners for a casual lunch when seeing the sites. In the meantime, my family liked their burgers, onion rings and this amped up fries. I thought the food was good. Not bad, not extraordinary, but fine. But it does appeal to tourists (and locals perhaps) with a wide selection on the menu, everything from kangaroo burgers to wagyu beef patties and salads.

The burgers are not bad but not amazing. However the sweet potato chips were the best I’ve ever had! They were super crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Meggie
Ordered takeaway here and waited 35 minutes! The burgers turned out small with the beef patty burnt and dry which is disgraceful for a shop that claimed to have 'gourmet' burgers. Which I still ate however as it expensive. The fries were moderately ok but overly salted. Also the staff was extremely unmotivated and when I asked how long it will be until the burgers are ready they gave me a vague 'it will be in a few moments' which personally for me is a very unsatisfying reply. I will not be coming back again!

If you want a good view when eating your meal, this is definitely the place for you. Ordered two mini burgers and sweet potato chips after we finished the Coogee to Bondi costal walk.

Willie The Wildcat
Ate here with my wife. We had a kangaroo burger which was pretty tasty. Not gamey at all. Also had a petite waygu burger which was good and steak cut chips which were amongst the best I've actually ever had. They were much crispier than they usually are. All in all a good experience

Used to love the burgers there as my favourite burger place until one time the buns were too dry and hard which made the burger too difficult to bite into, and the chips were super oily then I stopped going. I told the waitress about the greasy chips and I sent it back to her saying I can't eat them as they are way too oily, she took it and left it on the bench where the food / drinks came out and didn't offer anything. Was quite rude.

This time we did the coogee to bondi trek and as soon as we reached bondi we saw moo burgers and boom we ordered in 2 mins. I ordered the falafel burger and it was pretty good. Service was a little slow. Ambience was nice, overlooking the beach.
A little expensive compared to other burger places.
Salutations
Salutations. Solid outing to Moo GB Bondi Beach, is what I would say. I ordered a classic beef burger with a side of fries and homemade aioli. Burger, absolutely delicious. I can assure you the ingredients included one very happy cow. Fries, decent but a tad on the chilly side, an unfortunate addition. The real let down was the aioli. I felt like just about every clove of Garlic existent within the biosphere was thrown into my tiny tub, making it quite offputting, which was essentially comical for its hefty $2 price. I also would advise the manager to give their employees some closure, I reckon I was queried as to the quality of my burger about 5 times, meaning I couldn't really eat it considering I was too busy giving my undecided reviews to the workers. Too much time geezing around the restaurant instead of in the kitchen, which would explain for why I waited so long. Regardless, much better than Coogee and impressive enough to suffice on a hot summers day. 🤓

gday. another creamworthy burger that deserves a 5.0 rating. but look to be honest the staff were a little too friendly for my liking and instead of making the visit pleasant they continuosly interrupted it. improove moo moo improove

Burgers are okay although the staff are extremely arrogant and not welcoming. As soon as we ordered I got asked to review them on facebook for a free drink the staff didnt belive that I didnt have facebook so she rolled her eyes and walked off. After all this I received the order and got told they are now closed so we had to takeaway whilst there were people inside and outside eating. We had our meal accross the road by the beach on the way back 50 mins later they were still taking orders. I would never go back there. Shame I wasted my time reviewing them

We arrived here after a long walk from Coogee to Bondi, it was afternoon time and the place was bustling. There were a good number of options for vegetarian. I choose to go with the Falafel burger, it had a really nice Falafel patty and the sauces were just right. We ordered a large portion of hot fries which was more than enough for the whole table. I did not see the point of self service at this restaurant and also I expected the juices to be fresh and not canned.

Loved being able to sit and look out onto the beach. It was reasonable pricing and the kids menu, I think is a great idea.... I had the Big Moo.. The name doesn't lie.. Sadly I had to eat it with a knife and fork only because of where I chose to sit (for the onlookers sake) but if I were enjoying further back in the restaurant I would have attempted.. The patty was a little dry but if you were to eat it with the other fillings they would have made up for that. The onion rings were great and the fries were cooked nice and crunchy :)

This is a fast food style burger place that always has lots of customers. I was keen for burger. It was ok but not amazing. Ordered a burger with Tasmanian beef, Wagyu beef, caramelised onions, mixed lettuce and a home made Mayo. Made with quality premium need but the meat lacked any real flavour, was bland and the toppings overpowered the burger and the bun was a tough sourdough one. The presentation isn't great. It satisfied my burger craving though.
Service was polite and prompt. Pricing isn't too high so that's good. Although the sweet potato fries and onion rings were extremely tasty and had a homemade aioli which complimented them nicely.

Alex&Rach
Ordered the kangaroo burger, and the cheese burger. Both burgers were tasty though the burgers fell apart half way. Nice that we got free chips on Friday for our burgers. Nice sauces to go with the chips. The bread rolls were a bit stale and rough which caused roof-of-mouth rippage.

The staff were awesome and felt the love there compared to other eateries around Sydney.

Best burger I've ever had. So many options and Greta student deals. Brilliant service and lovely location. Chips are also amazing. They also have some very different and delicious juices!

Best Gourmet Burgers around!. I have been coming here on and off pretty much since they opened, I have never been disappointed, they use ethical meats and have a big range of really good burgers to choose from. I have tried most of them , but not al yet! Always had friendly staff looking after me, great view over Bondi Beach as well. Have the chips and if you can fit it in try a Moo Shake.
Olliemyste
Disappointed customer. What a disappointing experience, the customer service was woeful as the waitress was quite arrogant. As for the food quality, it was at a level somewhat expected from a work experience kitchen hand.
Ling Zou
The Menu was quite extensive and there were many different variations of the normal staple burger! Definitely interesting to have avocados in burgers!
LiveLifeSydney
Moo Burgers uses quality ingredients in their food, and you can really taste the difference. So far my favourite is the Wagyu Beef burger and the Beef Avocado and Bacon. But I have yet to try their speciality burgers though - The Kangaroo, Chorizo, Duck & Bacon, Greek Lamb and Salmon Burgers all look delicious on the menu. Given Moo's standards I wouldn't be surprised if they are just as good if not better.

Overall, I had a great experience eating at MOO Gourmet Burgers and would definitely come again and again when I go to Bondi Beach in the future. This is a MUST- GO- TO burger/ milkshake joint!
Vivian
At $14.50 for an average sized burger, I expected something sensational. To my utmost disappointment, I got a burger that was plain, boring and healthy-tasting (and I do not mean that as a compliment - rather, this is to say that it didn't have the kick that a gourmet burger should have). It did a good job of filling me up, but doing so satisfactorily is an area upon which Moo Gourmet Burgers require improvement.

Moo is cow themed, not surprisingly. Items around the restaurant have cow patterns, and cute pictures from kids adorn the walls. For the burgers Caroline had the Classic Cheese Burger. While I had the Big Moo.
Jenny L
it was a wonderfully made milkshake - perfectly proportioned ingredients so it was not too sweet yet not too bland.
Just One More Spoon
Another great gourmet burger newcomer. The one in Bondi Beach offers not only great view but also great burgers with very generous serving size. You need to get messy in with your hands and really dig into it as there’s no tidy way to eat their burgers. Price varies between $10-$16.50
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
Finally a burger place that takes as its start old-fashioned burgers and makes them better! The only thing ‘posh’ about the signature Black and White Burger ($13.50) is the beef – 100% Certified Australian Black Angus – and with only lettuce, tomato, a fr

Sydney is a food haven. There is so much good food in this city, it's sick. I wake up every morning dreaming about what to eat for brekky, lunch, and dinner. I've been waking up at 3AM every morning because of the jet-lag, and the first thing I do is ask
Penguin Says Feed Me
The place has a slight American diner feel to it, with several milkshake makers along the back and counter seating.

Gourmet?! This couldn't be further from Gourmet if they tried. The burger meat was completely flavourless and boring, the bread was dry and so big it was difficult to eat. A group of four of us went and these burgers were the worst we've ever had. My partner and I spent $52 on two burgers, one small portion of overlooked tasteless sweet potato chips and 2 drinks, and when we asked for mayonnaise we were told we had to pay for it. What a joke. It's such a shame when there are so many great places to eat in Sydney. We'll never go back
James Kinch
Dry bread and far too much of it. Would not reccommend.

Waited 50 mins for burger. I went on Saturday around 3 pm and waited too long 50 mins for burger...don't think it s worth waiting!

Family Friendly & Big Burgers!. Went on a friday cold night, greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant and was seated next to the window under the heater which kept us toasty warm.
We order our food I had the Big Moo, my two kids had the little moo with chicken schnitzel which is free range and came with drinks and dessert - perfect!

Upon my return we had paper and crayons so the kids could do a drawing and they also got to put it up on the wall!

food came out fast, its was hot fresh and my only problem was trying to fit the burger in our mouth.

Just a few things - Burgers don't come with chips but I just shared with my toddlers - The little moos also are plain burgers so just bread and schnitzel (perfect because my kids don't like lettuce or mayonnaise) Besides that eveything was delicious
Dankblack
Terrible kids burgers. Had a lamb burger great but my poor child's were given a stale roll with a burned snitzel no sauce or lettuce not a thing
Jane.arnott2
MOOgasmic. Great location, fantastic food and service! I love this place. Juicy, rich flavored burgers that make you smile. Reminds me of the old days of getting a burger from the fish'n chip shop, except now there are so many varieties to choose from. And if you want something light, the salads are great too. We will definitely go back again the next time we're in Sydney.
Burguru
Black and White + Grilled Haloumi
It was a cool rainy night when I headed out to pick up some Moo Gourmet Burgers so I was surprised to find the place packed with hungry patrons, gorging themselves on delicious burgers. I ordered the signature burger, the Black and White, along with the Grilled Haloumi for my wife. We also had the chips, sweet potato chips and onion rings on the side, a great selection.

The Black and White was terrific! I had forgotten how good egg on a burger is and I’ll be making sure I have it more often. The mozzarella cheese was also sensational, melty gooey goodness. The sauces were also complimentary, tangy tomato and homemade mayo, really brought all the flavours together. The Angus Beef Pattie was super tasty and you can actually see the flavour when you cut the beast in half.

The burger was very big and very filling. It was filled to the brim with tasty toppings but the sourdough bun was too thick for the amount of filling. I understand to hold all the flavourful contents you need a sturdy bun but in my opinion it was too much. Another minor point was that the egg didn’t have the runny yolk, which normally I would have preferred but because it was takeaway, I’m sure it cooked through on the way home. Didn’t really mind it as it meant it wasn’t so messy.

My wife had the Grilled Haloumi burger and she loved the flavour and value due to the sheer size of the meal. She’s not a fan of tomato so substituted this with beetroot, which added a juicy element which would have been lacking if she just removed the tomato. The Haloumi was cooked perfectly and didn’t have that rubbery squeak you can get when over grilled. She did feel, however, like me, that thre was too much bun for the amount of filling. She felt it was a bit tricky to eat.

The chips, sweet potato chips and onion rings were exceptional. Crispy, crunchy, salty, moorish and highly recommended.
Two great burgers, Three great sides - great value too.
Jonathan King
Pretty average. Cheeseburger was disappointing, large patty that dominated the taste and average sauce. Could do with pickles or something. Aioli wasn't the best either. Won't be in a hurry to go back.
Food 2 Run
Great Burgers. Can't beat this place for burgers, really great views over looking the beach. Service was ok but busy a Sunday night. Burgers good size and good value as well. If you want a nice burger in bondi come to this place and can have a beer as well.
NAK
The bun taste dry. Angus pa.... The bun taste dry.
Angus patty taste dull and dry as well.
I had to put some tomato sauce in it to 'moisten' it a bit, but that destroyed the taste.
Wagyu patty is ok. Nothing special.
The brie is really subtle, the burger itself overwhelms its taste.
The only thing decent we had was 'cheesy bacon chips'.
Hannah
Best Burgers. This place is great. I like the Wagyu burger, it has brie on it and is delicious!! Definitely the place to go if you are in the mood for a burger
Renee Brooks
Already craving it again. Went to Moo Bondi the other day while on holiday in Sydney and loved the whole experience. I ordered the wagyu burger and my parter the duck and bacon. Also ordered cheesey bacon fries, onion rings and 2 milkshakes. I couldn't believe how delicious these burgers was and the onion rings were tasty, not at all greasy, and I couldn't help finish off the chips even though I was already full because they were so darn good. The milk shakes were also super good. I felt bad for the girl working there as she didn't have other staff to help her out but she did a great job and hope to see a Moo in Melbourne in the future!
Cam
Had a delicious burger here. Ordered the Wagyu burger and really enjoyed it. The brie on the burger was great. Friend had a black and white burger and loved it. Great place to eat after a day at the beach
Jen
Not what i expected. Having heard such great reviews and recommendations for Moo Gourmet Burgers, i wasn't entirely satisfied with what i had, but that may be because of the limitations of being a vegetarian. There weren't too many choices, but the burgers are really fresh and the chips and onion rings were great! The sauces were too spectacular.

However, THE DRINKS ARE THE BOMDIGGIDY! Their milkshakes are absolutely amazing! I would recommend all of them!
Missfoodie
Rolls weren't fresh but ingredients inside the burger were. Would suggest putting on more staff in the kitchen, over a 30min wait for a burger...

Deluxe burger is a must !! Love it Also live the idea of having your photo laken with it

40 minute wait at a burger joint? Put MOO upside down an you get OOW!

Yum.

Had the Wagyu and classic cheeseburgers for our meal. Found them to be very good; great service and kid friendly at the Coogee location.
Frank S.
Didn't like it. Had piri piri burger with chips and self made mayo: bun tasteless , mayo tasteless , chicken dry and not spicy :-( same for classic beef burger of friends > boring, no flavor

Defrosted rolls - no thanks!. We were so excited by the menu but when the food came...mmmm something wasn't quite right.

The rolls weren't fresh - they were a bit dry and crumbly. Then we figured it out they had been in the freezer and defrosted. YUCK! Combined with over cooked fish fingers and dry flavourless peri peri chicken - give bondi moo a miss.

Friendly staff, chilled out fun atmosphere great views great burgers, high quality produce and reasonable prices!!! Amazing milk shakes!! I love this place!!

Convenient Gluten Free Options! Excellent!. My wife and I took our 2 kids to the location on Bondi Beach. We were pleasantly surprised to find the children's menu had gluten free options. Our food was excellent and the shakes with the Tim Tams were very delicious. I highly recommend this place for families looking for a place to eat by the beach.

Onion rings with pizzaz. Great fresh burgers that the friendly staff are happy to plate with salad if you're not in bread-eating mood. But it's the onion rings with a whimsical subtle liquorice (fennel!) aftertaste that'll have me coming back for more!!!
Rory
Refreshingly great. Struggling to think of a better burger - wonderful warm, light, sourdough bun and succulent Oz Angus beef and homemade mayo. Here's to venues getting it right and making people happy. The view is pretty awesome too.
Jenny
Jenny. I ordered a chicken salad, as I did not feel like a great big thumping hamburger. Guys, you really need to up the anti with this. I was sick to death of eating spinach leaves. The Chicken was paper thin and not much of it. Surely cooking grilled chicken and salad would be far easier that cooking a whopping hamburger.
Brittany Radcliffe
Great food! Burgers were delicious, service was so warm and welcoming and the view was fantastic! Also liked the design of the interior with the chalkboard paint too. Big thumbs up! Would eat here again happily :)
Amy Holloway
Food was great! Selection was very hard! Be prepared for the biggest messiest delicious burger of your life! You choose, then pay n order at the counter. Get the chips aswell, great for soaking up the burger juices! Well priced for the massive burger we got! They also do gluten free and have a good veggo selection!
David Schneider
Great views but burger was cold like the meat is precooked and just waiting for an order. Chips were great. Ridiculous to pay $4 got tiny bottle of coke when a beer is $6. My recommendation s to have a beer enjoy the views and eat elsewhere.

Fantastic for both quality & quantity. Excellent views & service. Top tip: go there very hungry!
