Review Lamrock Cafe - Bondi

Wonderful. Staff were fantastic from "Nonna" who greeted us to the waitress and owner. The food was fantastic and the service was super fast. Nonna noticed my daughters napkin blew away and came and gave her extra. My partner said the steak sandwich was better than a steak house. The fish, chips and salad accompanied by the homemade tartare sauce was delicious. My daughter had the eggs benedict which she loved. We'd go back for sure.

Awesome place. I came here with my friends for brunch and loved it so much we came back for more lunch a few hours later 😂 The service was amazing-fast, efficient and positive! The ladies who work there remember your faces and don't mind a bit of chit chat too. It's in a great spot- right on the corner with amazing views of the beach (and eye candy!😉) Highly recommend. And Shoutout to nonna working the front door!

Amazing breakfast in Bondi! Benedict eggs are a must and staff is lovely. We came here 4 years ago promising that would be back if ever visiting Sydney again and we were not wrong. Same tasty breakfast with reasonable prices even after tough pandemic times. Keep it up guys!

Great place. Friendly service makes it worthwhile at anytime. After having our Saturday afternoon ruined by the cafe up the road - Bondi Kahve. Tom was so friendly and made sure our order came out quickly. His mum at the front is so sweet. Food was great but the friendly staff means we will definitely be back and with more people! Great outlook over Bondi Beach coupled with friendly service and great value Breaky. As a black coffee drinker when beans are burnt or just not tasty, there’s nowhere to hide. This coffee was however good. Do yourself a favour, sit, watch the ocean, eat, drink and enjoy! Will be back

I expend so much fun time here with my friends, Dee was so sweet and kind at the moment to take our order. The food arrived fast to our table and was delicious. Thank you for this beautiful experience with this food and the beautiful sea view

Wouldn’t even waste my money here. We went for breakfast around 10am while on holidays. Firstly the lady who served us was in a huff and was flustered. My partner’s breakfast came out incorrect so when they finally brought out what he had ordered which was the Bondi big breakfast it was stone cold. It’s clear that they had pre-cooked the food which is expected at most cafes that are busy but you would have thought they would reheat the food before putting it on a plate. We mentioned it to the lady when we were paying at the end and she said, “well, when you turn up late for breakfast on a cold day, then the food will be cold”. Unbelievable! My partner has been a chef for over 20 years and he just laughed when heard that comment. Won’t be returning here again. Plenty of other lovely cafes on Hall St which we later discovered.

We had an issue with this cafe and addressed it with the owner. We have been in contact and she was very professional about the matter. Offered us another brekky and my girls went in and enjoyed a thoroughly good breakfast . The issue was resolved and I would have no hesitation in visiting there again. Thankyou very much to the owners 😊

Best mimosas and bacon I've ever had! Seriously... They fresh squeeze the orange juice and you wouldn't believe the difference it makes. The bacon is incredible and you can't beat the service or the view. One happy American!

The eggs benedict with salmon was fabulous! Eggs cooked just right and the sauce was not too heavy.

Just ordered 2 acai smoothies off some grumpy rude guy for $15, 20 minutes later to be given 2 coffee cups full of ice and a sip of acai... What a joke.

I went here with my husband yesterday and the atmosphere looked nice. The problem came with the staff. We can't have sugar so my husband asked the Barista's if the advertised Frappe was indeed just coffee and ice - no sugar if we asked for no sugar. We were told there's came with honey but we can ask for none. The waitress who served us took our order of two Frappes without sugar. After a very long wait, we received two drinks that were clearly iced coffees, with lots of milk, and topped with cinnamon and a huge amount of raw sugar. Hoping it was just on the top I took a sip and this was completely sugar infused. I wish I could drink it but I couldn't and I was disappointed that it was nothing like a Frappe as advertised at all. We waited for some eye contact for about 15 minutes but were completely ignored by staff. So we got up to leave and spoke to the same waitress who we took the order from. She started arguing that we were wrong at it wasn't sugar in the drink or on top, even though a photo we took clearly shows granules of raw sugar. She was angry we hadn't paid yet and demanded we speak to another woman. We told her we were sorry but we couldn't drink it and it wasn't what we asked for. She said we needed to ask for an Iced Latte next time. I really think it should be advertised as what it is, a milkshake or a Freddo, but not a Frappe. And if you ask for no sugar that there is no sugar, or if a mistake is made in translation from the waitress, replace it quickly.

Great coffee and service! Been here many times and will continue to do so.

Great spot overlooking Bondi Beach. Whenever I'm in Sydney, I love to come here for brekkie, then do the coastal walk.

Great views! Sat outside and soaked up some sun. Ordered a great strong latte and Eggs Benny w/ Salmon — added the halloumi. Rating 4 because whilst the dish was super yum, it was slightly cold.

Lamrock is a small and cosy place, i have tried bacon and eggs, it was pretty good. Service was good and the people who work there was also nice. There is a nice beach view.

Bondi View ~ When you want to feel close to the Bondi beach and want to take in the beachy aroma of the sea while snacking on fish and chips, this is where you go.<br/><br/>Loved the small and cosy cafe located right opposite the Bondi beach. You can opt to sit inside or explore the sir outside.<br/><br/>Both their Grilled fish and chips and the lovely Calamari and chips brought a wide smile to my face and palate. Crispy, delicious and good quantity. What more do you need!

Cafe went extra mile to get our large group of 20 seated together on a stunning spring day. <br/><br/>The cafe was packed and even with our large group arriving, our food all came out pretty much together and not that long a wait to tuck in all things considered. <br/><br/>The food is not mind blowing but it is simple and tasty. I got the veggie breakfast and everything was cooked perfectly. <br/><br/>My piccolo was also very decent.

Whilst visiting from interstate we travelled to Bondi and stopped in here for a chai. Always hard to find places that do chai the right and proper way. This place does and it comes in a decent sized mug. I enjoyed it very much and recommend for any chai lovers. Friendly service.

Acai bowl wasn't even smooth, panini (smoked salmon) was alright. Owner charged us an extra $3 to our bill for no reason. Waitresses unfriendly.

Wow! Gorgeous location! Beautiful by the beach with good coffee prices . The staff are friendly. The interior is really cool and nice. Tim Tam shake was good to try - as it's different !

Rude and dismissive service by the staff. Couldn't get rid of us quickly enough, even if we were paying customers. Our reward for going through all this are overpriced and badly made coffee. Spend your money elsewhere.

Fantastic! Amazing staff, great food. So so friendly! Lovely outdoor setting. Great pumpkin salad, NZ wine and the 'famous' angel hair pasta lived up to its name. Well worth it and great portions and prices

Me and my friend wanna queue to eat here but the waiter keep telling no seat. And we saw there still have 3 empty seat. And only 4 people queue. She even not speak nicely and so rude. Also the english not clear at all. We already ask nicely.or maybe because we are chinese?. Omg. Bad rating for service. I know your place is in good location but please get your staff trained.

Pretty meh experience. Wanted to go to so many of the amazing places along the road but ended up having to go here due to lack of tables at the other spots. Service was pretty average, everything took forever and the food was alright. <br/>Looks kinda pretty though?

Food is so average. They also had our drinks order mixed up with other tables as well, kept coming to us with the wrong drinks... Still the service is adequate I guess, food came out quickly from the kitchen, staff we met did serve with a smile.

Me and my friend decided to pop in for a nice breakfast just before we headed off for a quick dip at Bondi. The view was lovely on a warm Sunday, giving a really nice atmosphere to the cafe. I ordered the Lamrock Bacon & Eggs where my poached eggs was overcooked. Other than that, everything else was decent. Please note there is a surcharge for weekends. Service was rude however hence is the reason for the low rating. Only great thing about the cafe is the location and view it provides which is great for a lazy day.

Ordered breakfast there, the food was pretty average. The waitresses weren't not particular friendly, although the old granny waitress was the nicest of all. <br/>The coffee was not bad, but the bacon was very oily and not oven baked crispiness. I also ordered raisin toast, the waitress dumped a big basket of jams, Vegemite etc spreads on the table... This was so weird. The butter spread was given cold and solid, wasn't able to spread on toast easily. <br/>On the bright side, the location was amazing, directly facing the beach. Nice view!

I popped in here for breakfast this morning, and I did definitely enjoy it. Compared to many other cafes in the Bondi area, this one gave some pretty decently priced meals. The restaurant atmosphere is very open and has a beautiful view of the sea, especially if you sit outside underneath the shelter. Inside, it's comfortable and open, yet still cozy. Our meals came in quite quick timing. I had the fruit salad, which was fresh and delicious, and VERY generous with the muesli. However, I was surprised the muesli was underneath the fruit instead of on top with the yoghurt. I also tried the pancakes; they were very delicious and the mango and blueberry was a nice touch.

Food was pretty average, had the vegetarian breakfast and the spinach was gritty. Staff were really unfriendly and rude. One guy told me to "wait my turn" because I asked to order at the counter as the wait staff were no where to be seen.

Absolutely nice sea view if you sit outside. Could be a bit windy though. At lunchtime, there are not as many trucks park in front of you as elsewhere along the main road. The dish is a big portion. I like the classic brunch menu there. Not cheap but worth the money.

A friend suggested Breakfast so I checked the reviews before coming and mostly really good with a few mixed so wasn't sure what to expect but I have to say, I wasn't disappointed. I ordered Eggs Benedict with salmon and it was amazing. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the Salmon was fresh. The staff were very friendly and helpful and suggested a frappe since it was so hot. Good choice! I ordered the Mocha and it was the best frappe I've ever had. My friend had the mango smoothie, thick and with fresh mango, also very good! Definitely worth the value.<br/><br/>The cafe is right opposite Bondi Beach so the view is magnificent. Music in the cafe was cool too. Overall, a very good experience, and I highly recommend coming here. Will come back for lunch next time and try the T-Bone steak with chips and salad. Yummy!

Keep coming back here for the Big Breakfasts & Iced Mocha's. Always busy, no surprise, service is attentive and friendly, food is always great and the coffee superb. Terrible service, terrible rude waitress. Asked for no sugar in my coffee frappe and when it came out with sugar all over it, the waitress denied it and said I was wrong!!!! Look at the photo and see for yourself. Now when I review them they reply with abuse... Extremely unprofessional, the wait staff and owners are just looking to argue with their customers. Look at the photo, you can clearly even see sugar sprinkled over it!!!

I had a fantastic experience at Lamrock Café in Bondi last weekend. With great quality food, friendly service and a bright atmosphere, I would most definitely recommend visiting this little gem!

Came here for a lazy Sunday lunch. Perfect choice! The service was incredibly friendly, the wine super tasty, and the food delicious! Recommended

Gorgeous view and lovely staff. The food was fresh and delicious, although the calamari salad was slightly too light and we needed to order another meal to fill the spot. A perfect place to sit back and enjoy a long, lazy lunch while people-watching

Awesome location!! Amazing brekkie!. Just moved to bondi on to lamrock ave so naturally I went to this cafe as its right around the corner. Ordered the big breakfast and not only was it quick, it has everything you would want on a Sunday morning for breakfast/brunch! Definitely my new local!!

Good Chunky Serves of Food, Friendly Staff, Exquisite Location / View AND This Cafe is Licensed. It doesn't really get any better than the Lamrock Cafe on Bondi Beach for view, comfort, huge serves of food and a beer or wine. Managers Daniela and Tom are super friendly and they ensure that you're warm enough in the winter months to sit outside and enjoy the beach in all its glory.

Aweful service and hygiene!. Apart from the fact that the staff were rude, the food was bland and the tables were dirty. As a visitor from Melbourne I am appalled that this restaurant is still open!

We chose Lamrock so we could look at the gorgeous beach while we ate. While it was quite busy and bustling, we were still shown to a table straight away, and had a super friendly staff member immediately come over and take care of us.

A little treasure along Bondi Beach. My sisters, friends and I came here today for brunch at Bondi, we were promptly seated which is a rarity in Sydney as there are 8 of us.<br/><br/>My soy chai latte was just devine, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. After a disappointing breakfast yesterday we were so happy to finally have a decent breakfast. The waiter then proceeded to bring out a birthday pancake on the house for my sister which was very much appreciated.<br/><br/>If you're looking for an awesome breakfast with breathtaking views of Bondi Beach, with absolutely lovely wait staff you won't be disappointed!

Great location, terrible food. This cafe has great views onto the beach, but very poor quality food. The bacon and egg breakfast was too oily and sloppy and the grilled tomato not grilled at all. The chai tea tasted like black tea with a sugar layer on top rather than proper spiced chai. Save your money, buy fish & chips and sit by the beach.

Lamrock cafe is such a lovely cafe I went for breakfast and the food was delicious and the staff were so polite and helpful, I had a lovely experience and will defnitely be back.

Ok food, rude staff. Went out for brekky this morning and was looking forward to a relaxing morning. The waitress who met us was abrasive and showed us to a table that still hadn't been cleared off (though there were other clear tables that we asked to sit at, we were told to sit at this other one). Bit of a long wait for the food to arrive, but when it did it was tasty enough.<br/><br/>Went to use the toilets quickly before leaving, and as I was exiting the same waitress was waving at me and shaking her head. She proceeded to yell at me, telling me the toilets were "for customers only!" And I looked at her, incredulous and said "I am a customer!" She obviously didn't believe me and asked "when?! " and repeated. "For customers only"<br/>No apology, nothing. <br/><br/>I will never return. Rude woman .

In a word... AWESOME! Fantastic location! Delicious food! Best coffee! What more could you ask for! The staff were great too! Even putting up with my 7 month old running a muck:-) Will most definitely be back!

Great food and good service. I had grilled silver dory and chips wid my mate,it was really good..one of the best grilled fish I had.i am not too fussy about food but man I ve got to b honest ..tht was great ,I will def come back...cheers guys

Slow service, bad food. We loved the location and decided to have lunch, although most tables were surprisingly empty. <br/>We ordered beers, grilled fish and chips, and calamari salad. Beers were not cold enough. Fter waiting for almost 20 mins, lunch arrived. Grilled fish was burned and totally dry, chips were overfried. Calamari salad had full of rocket and only a few calamari. Not value for money. There are plenty of other places in Bondi, this one not worth it! Tje only thing going for it is the location.

Service was unusually bad. The owner was actually outwardly hostile and rude. The staff lazy and inattentive.

Highly recommend. We were here for 3 days over Christmas, so pretty much tried everything. The cafe can get extremely busy! But here are our recommendations-all iced drinks-chai, coffee, mocha are great! Acai bowl is divine, fresh calamari salad(with Pinot Grigio) superb and the vegetarian breakfast is like a huge tapas plate! Recommended highly!

Not good. Service was so slow, understandably it was busy but I ordered eggs benedict and it took 40 minutes. Also I am gluten free and the gf bread was horrendous I had to ask for a sharper knife because it was so stiff I couldn't even cut it. And the rest of the meal was great either especially for $17! I would expect it to taste decent. Probably the worst breakfast I've had in sydney. Only positive is the staff were friendly.

Nice. I had a delicious chai frappe and a nice haloumi and pumpkin panini. I would come back for the frappe.

Bondi Classic. Luv this place..The best view in Bondi..We have our regular short blacks ..great coffee, my kids luv the avocado toast ,the foods lovely and a great place to people watch..a bit of a celeb hangout.

What a view. Location-wise this cafe is superb. Look out onto Bondi Beach or have the option of moving inside if the weather is cooler. Food is affordable and the servings generous. The big breakfast is always a winner :)

Great location, sitting in the sun opposite the beach. I had a vegie breakfast which looked beautiful on the plate and all tasted good although the poached eggs were still a bit vinegary. Coffee good.

Been here 17 minutes and juices just arrived. It's not even busy.

"It was ok" We couldn't fin.... "It was ok"<br/>We couldn't find too much wrong with the place but we probably won't be back. It was lovely sitting on the foreshore but there is so much competition around Bondi that I would recommend going somewhere else.

Average restaurant. There were four of us at breakfast this morning. Three of us had savoury breakfasts (big breakfast) and one in the group had a sweet breakfast (pancakes). The presentation of the food is adequate as is the quality of the meals. Nothing amazing but not bad either. Overall a satisfactory place to eat, but certainly nothing to rave about.
